I love this camera. I bought it to use as a helmet cam for when I go riding. It works great, sturdy, and definitely is a great way to capture a trip!

In a sunny day, the camera works perfectly...its amazin, I love it, It looks like a toy, at first its a litle hard to use, because it only has two buttoms, but after that its a doll. Great definition, but isnt macro!!! And when you use the waterproof case, the sound isnt very good.

I like to go pro for using in the woods either on motorcycle, atv, etc but the fish eye camera is not appropriate for close spaces.

I used the go pro on my road trip from San Diego to San Francisco, via Big Sur (pch route), and the footage is brilliant to say the least. It is full HD, and handles all lighting situations very well. The suction mount is pretty sturdy, as is the adhesive mount. I also purchased the chest-wrap mount from cycle gear that complements the other accessories.
One thing to make sure is that the lense is always clean. I drove through a lot of fog near big sur and some of the footage is blurred due to droplets on the lens.
Also, when using the image capture mode, make sure to hold the camera very steady. It doesn't seem to have a very good motion-blur correction system. Apart from that, the video capture quality is really good.

This is exactly what was promised! We had a great time videoing our 4 wheelers going through the mud and over the terrain. When we watched the videos of the hunters, we felt like we were watching the Outdoors Shows!!! Great! Thanks for a great product!

Great little camera - Takes really good pictures for a little camera. Takes great vids for a little camera. Time Lapse is a blast and so is using it underwater. $200 for a camera that can go underwater and abused in sports, it does a great job. If you want magazine style pics, get an SLR.

My grandson has used this for snowboarding and will use it for mountain biking in the spring. Great clarity! Easy to mount on a helmet

Bought mine after a friend told me how cool they are. Got mine about a week before we went to Disneyland, very glad i had it with me. Made some awesome videos of my three year old daughter riding the rides which would have been impossible with an everyday video camara. The POV (wide angle lens) makes the camara.
Every bad review you've read on here, i havent had any of those kinda problems and ive dropped mine, tossed it in the pool, slammed it into stuff, kicked it..... still works like a champ! I read all the bad reviews also before i bought mine... they must be crazy or something i guess? (laughing)

I'm just going to say it - I love this thing.
I'll admit the YouTube advertisement really got me in to this. Before buying it, I did do a lot of searching for user-created content. What I found out? This is every bit as great as what you see on the commercials and on TV. What you're recording is exactly what you're seeing with your own eyes. It's like bringing along your audience on an adventure, starring you. For the size camera, and sensor, I'm blown away by how accurately this little device meters light. It will show the sun, set in a nice deep-blue sky, whereas most cameras will wash-out the sky and sun in favor of the person, the ground, whatever you may be shooting. That's something even my DSLR can't do.
TL;DR - If you're on the fence - jump!

The GoPro HD Hero2 camera is great but I have had problems with the bicycle handlebar mount. Since getting the camera I have used it 28 times on my Specialized Roubaix road bike and have had the mount break three times. That's an average of about 8 rides between breaks. I had to purchase a second bike mount kit after the first two breaks to continue using the camera on my road bike. I'm reluctant to buy another kit until GoPro comes up with a better solution. I use the helmet mount when riding my mountain bike but prefer the handlebar mount when using my road bike.

Great 1080p camera what can I say it takes awesome mountain biking videos. This is my second one please PLEASE get a floaty backdoor if you plan on taking it in the beach. R.I.P my first one came off my head at Hueneme Beach i had the head strap on. Such a good camera i had to buy another one. If you plan on buying it i suggest getting the Amazon Gift Rewards Card by Chase and get $30 off, total price was $211 after all said and done. GET IT.

I purchased this camera to use while riding MX and Jet skiing. It's easy to use once you get used to REALLY listening to the beeps when you start and stop the camera. Both the video and still resolutions are great. It's really easy to upload video to youtube and FB. I don't use the included editing software much. I'm not trying to make complex videos. I've submerged the camera numerous times and exposed it to the roost of a bunch of 450cc motocross bikes and so far it has held up great. When Gopro comes up with an app for the iphone I'll likely buy the backpack too.

Fish eye lens only, not able to get video recorded for more than 27 min. I am not sure why but i am still working on it. Compatible and HD video recording.

This camera has a MAJOY flaw that they will not tell you about. Search the internet for the phrase "purple bars gopro hero HD 2" and see how thousands of people are having purple bars in the pictures it takes if it's not 70 degrees out or has any vibration. It is a known flaw of this camera and GoPro is not addressing it. If you buy one with this flaw they will NOT replace it with one that works. They will not admit that the flaw is there.

Sadly this is the second one I bought due to the first one was used in a pool, by other family member hat had the dust cover on not waterproof cover. But it takes sharp accurate pic's

I bought this is as a gift for my hubby. I checked the website and researched it to make sure it was the correct camera he had been talking about and it was. The seller sent it very quick and I received it 4 days after I ordered it. The box I received had everything I ordered in it, I would do business with this seller again.

The wide angle fisheye lens on the newer GoPros is really amazing. I had owned and used one of the original hero cameras and this one just blows it away in every aspect. My one complaint is that for the most part if it is off for a while and you turn it on, it switches to photo mode instead of video mode despite the fact if you had set it to video mode and turned it off. This makes using it as a helmet cam somewhat difficult if you're never really sure what setting your camera is going to load into. GoPro just released a new firmware update and some software that I have yet to use. Lets hope these will be able to cure a few of the Hero2's quirks..
*update!!! actually I got really tired of this, so before I even posted my review I found a solution through contacting GoPro. In order to get the camera to go straight to video mode, just TAP the power button ONCE. Do NOT hold the button down like you would with the original GoPro cameras, but just a quick blip of the power button and it will come on in video mode... Awesome news. I really have nothing else to complain about except for the price of accessories. Nearly every single one of them you feel a bit ripped off especially after dropping 300 on the camera to find out you're probably going to spend at least another 100 or so on all the accessories you'll need. I knew this going into it though.
