Great product! I strapped it to my head while bow hunting in my treestand. Takes HD high quality video and pics. Very clear. The possibilities are endless, so small, yet very durable and easy to use.

I lost my Hero during a mountain bike ride due to the handle bar mount breaking. I didn't notice that it was lost until almost the end of my ride. I went back through the trails but didn't find it. I also noticed that another part of the mount which I've used only once to mount it on my seat post was also coming apart. I did not crash or anything, but I guess the constant vibration caused the plastic mounts to eventually break. But aren't these cameras and mounts suppose to withstand such abuse? They advertise it as a go anywhere film your crazy rides and stunts camera. So I am very dissappointed at Gopro for not properly designing their mounts and/or not using the proper materials. Their support is also very slow and unresponsive. I couldn't find a phone number on their site but just an online form.

I was thinking about buying a new one but until I know that they've addressed the mount issue i'm staying away. I'd rather be focused on the trail rather than constantly looking down to make sure my GoPro is still there!

I just got my Hero2 today and I say I am absolutely in love with it. It is simply the best HD helmet camera out there. I wouldn't even call it a Helmet Camera...I would call it an everything camera. As soon as I unboxed my camera I charged it. It was fully charged in 20 minutes (just about how long it took me to read the instructions) since it comes with a factory charge on the battery, which in my world is the best because you can immediately play with it right out of the box. The first video I took was from inside my 55 gallon aquarium. I plopped the camera in the water and I had all my fish swimming around it. When I took my camera out of the water I noticed that all the water just beads right off the lens. Really nice especially if your going in and out of water. I pulled the footage right off my camera without a hitch. (No special program needed to do that which is really nice...now just try to convince my samsung camcorder to do the same thing.) The footage was a little grainy but that was due to poor lighting since I use a actinic blulight for my reef. I can't wait for tomorrow where I can actually use it to its full potential. I already found a way to mount it to my 450 r/c heli so I cant wait to see my house at 1080p from 50 ft up! Tomorrow is just gonna be a day of extreme sports: Dirtbiking, longboarding, skateboarding, parcor, etc. The biggest pro I found with this camera was the weight and size. I just love how small it is and how light it is...perfect for my heli! As of right now there is no cons. If your on the fence about getting one...DO IT!!!

Great quality video! I use my GoPro all the time, and can't remember what it was like to not have it! It's a little pricey, but I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it, and I'm just getting started. I highly recommend the GoPro as opposed to other similar products out there.

this is the video camera for you. Lots of attachments to mount the camera just about
anywhere. Audio clarity is lacking but for action type videos, who cares? I ordered
my Hero 2 from Amazon and the service was excellent.

I use this camera on my track car, a 1988 Porsche 951. The camera takes hits from rubber chunks on a regular basis and still performs great. The video from the front bumper (in HD) is great. Love this camera. Highly recommended.

GoPro HD HERO2: Motorsports Edition is the best GoPro Product ever. Never a problem with GoPro. Although I did buy the warranty it was not necessary.

What can I say about the HD GoPro that hasn't been said already. Great video, simple control layout. Can't get any better for the money. I also got the wifi back PAC which is a nice addition. I've used this so far for autocross events mounting the camera on the body or glass of the car. Sticks solid with no worries about scratching he car or falling off.
Plenty of sample video on YouTube. Check them out...your video WILL look as good!

I love this camera. I bought it to use as a helmet cam for when I go riding. It works great, sturdy, and definitely is a great way to capture a trip!

In a sunny day, the camera works perfectly...its amazin, I love it, It looks like a toy, at first its a litle hard to use, because it only has two buttoms, but after that its a doll. Great definition, but isnt macro!!! And when you use the waterproof case, the sound isnt very good.

I like to go pro for using in the woods either on motorcycle, atv, etc but the fish eye camera is not appropriate for close spaces.

I used the go pro on my road trip from San Diego to San Francisco, via Big Sur (pch route), and the footage is brilliant to say the least. It is full HD, and handles all lighting situations very well. The suction mount is pretty sturdy, as is the adhesive mount. I also purchased the chest-wrap mount from cycle gear that complements the other accessories.
One thing to make sure is that the lense is always clean. I drove through a lot of fog near big sur and some of the footage is blurred due to droplets on the lens.
Also, when using the image capture mode, make sure to hold the camera very steady. It doesn't seem to have a very good motion-blur correction system. Apart from that, the video capture quality is really good.

This is exactly what was promised! We had a great time videoing our 4 wheelers going through the mud and over the terrain. When we watched the videos of the hunters, we felt like we were watching the Outdoors Shows!!! Great! Thanks for a great product!

Great little camera - Takes really good pictures for a little camera. Takes great vids for a little camera. Time Lapse is a blast and so is using it underwater. $200 for a camera that can go underwater and abused in sports, it does a great job. If you want magazine style pics, get an SLR.

Bought mine after a friend told me how cool they are. Got mine about a week before we went to Disneyland, very glad i had it with me. Made some awesome videos of my three year old daughter riding the rides which would have been impossible with an everyday video camara. The POV (wide angle lens) makes the camara.
Every bad review you've read on here, i havent had any of those kinda problems and ive dropped mine, tossed it in the pool, slammed it into stuff, kicked it..... still works like a champ! I read all the bad reviews also before i bought mine... they must be crazy or something i guess? (laughing)

I'll admit the YouTube advertisement really got me in to this. Before buying it, I did do a lot of searching for user-created content. What I found out? This is every bit as great as what you see on the commercials and on TV. What you're recording is exactly what you're seeing with your own eyes. It's like bringing along your audience on an adventure, starring you. For the size camera, and sensor, I'm blown away by how accurately this little device meters light. It will show the sun, set in a nice deep-blue sky, whereas most cameras will wash-out the sky and sun in favor of the person, the ground, whatever you may be shooting. That's something even my DSLR can't do.
TL;DR - If you're on the fence - jump!
