This little puppy looks and handles just fine...but, one could use a technology course in figuring how to use all the applications. To me it is confusing or maybe challenging. Downloaded the multi page set of instructions and am working my way through them...and they are not too easy to understand either. Will probably be a good pocket camera once I het the jist of it. But for 50 bucks one can't complain.

It takes very good photos and is easy to use. My only complaint is the shutter lag which is a bit of an issue when photographing children or some type of action.

I would not recommend buying this camera. When the camera arrived it seemed to work fine and abruptly when I was on vacation in Atlantis Paradise Island I went to turn on the camera and nothing. Camera now doesn't even turn on. I initially thought it was the batteries so I replaced them and it still doesn't work. I received this camera last week and now it doesn't even work. Due to me being on vacation and around water I took extra precaution to make sure that it didn't come in contact with any water or that I didn't accidentally drop the camera. I was so disappointed in this camera. Do not buy!!!

I bought this camera because I wanted something compact, rather than lugging my large camera everywhere. This is the only small reasonably priced camera I could find with a viewfinder (an absolute must for me). I've had it for only 2 weeks, so I may raise or lower my opinion after more extensive use. The photos are decent quality. Video seems to be reasonably good, too. If you're looking for a compact inexpensive camera this is a good choice. Note that you need to buy a memory card, sold separately.It does not come with a manual (only a quick start guide). I downloaded the manual from their website - and ended up printing 120 pages. Don't make that mistake. Pick the parts you want and not the rest. It's not the best written manual. The camera has a lot of special features which you may or may not ever use. Personally, I found navigating the functions menu to be a bit of a pain. Minor drawback, as I'm intending to use it for simple photos most of the time.

because Cannon has always been a good buy, have a Kodak 300 and picture is no0t that grate and it will not function at times.

When you look at the stats and capability of this camera, this is strictly a Canon DSLR T1i or T2i - in a miniature body. Seriously. You can't beat this price! I own the T1i and the T4i, and it's amazing to see Canon go behind the backs of all these sales and make this small bodied capable camera. Not sure how to take this but I can assure you this; the 16MP Digic 4 processor is a great package for less than $65.00!!

Not as expected. Regular batteries did not work. Rechargeables not included. Pictures viewed were landscape and could not figure out how to change. It will have to do until I can afford something else.

The view finder is the icing on the cake of this little gem. Compact, regular AA cells and stick in your pocket, who could ask for more. It will find a place in my wife's purse. Seems like a better option than using a smart phone. Pictures are for cameras not telephones.

Camera is light weight, takes fairly decent pictures, and feels well made. I don't care for how the menus/setting are arranged, nor for how long it takes the flash to charge. But for the price it was a deal to me, as the person it is for has a dinosaur Kodak easy share. I was a bit upset that when it says 8G SD card free when bought from Amazon.. You have to go through special steps to get that free card. I didn't realize this until I didn't find the SD card until I logged on to double check the item posting. Should have been wearing my glasses to see that smaller print I guess.

Our only camera was malfunctioning right when we needed it. We prefer a camera with a viewfinder for the many times the screen is washed out by our bright sunshine. We also needed some basic adjustability for photos used to sell products online.There are very few basic cameras with a viewfinder. I've been very happy with my previous Canon, so we ordered this one. It was a great price, more features than we need, and smaller and lighter than the previous camera.It arrived quickly. We are very happy.

my experance with it is about the same as others. you want a quick point and shoot that is easy to carry this one works. the view finder is easy to track with. takes nice wide view distence shots and farly nice close ups. it has enough settings to keep you guessing. but the in camaria help is easy to use and it's always with you. there is a lot of noise if your trying to crop up. the vido came across nicly with decent auto. me I can't understand why this is the only small canon with a few finder. but thats marketing today.

This is my 2nd "Canon" camera...the 1st one is the Ixus, and this time I tried w/ the AA battery...it's very easy to find the battery and it has the view finder too...

AMAZON OWES ME THE 8G SD CARD! No where in the initial description of the item for sale did it make clear that we had to also go in and click on the SD card itself in order to get the SD card free!!!!When I got the camera, of course, NO SD CARD! so I go back and then CAREFULLY read the info, including clicking the SD Free Card offer and only THEN do I find I was supposed to separately place this item into the cart to buy at same time!!!!!!!!Why wasn't the damned SD card just included automatically so we didn't have to do anything to get it???? That is what I was expecting!!!! I WANT MY SD CARD!

This camera is great. It performs in full light almost as well as my EOS DSLR, but I can put in my pocket. View finder is great in full sunlight. Fantastic price - takes wonderful pictures. Highly recommend.

I bought this camera for the optical viewfinder feature, which means you can frame a picture in bright light which makes the LCD screen useless.Two surprises: the camera comes without memory cards. and it uses AA batteries rather than a rechargeable cell. Batteries included, I found 2GB SD cards at Wal-Mart sold in packs of 2 for about $12.There are many features that I have yet to learn - the English version of the user manual is over 200 pages! This is a fully-capable camera with the controls a serious photographer can use. Fits in a shirt pocket, but large enough for easy handling.

I have always respected the Canon name for cameras and was looking forward to having one, even if it is a lower-end camera. I was so disappointed in the quality of the pictures that I returned it within a couple of weeks. The final reason I decided to send it back was when I tried to view a video on my computer and it was totally blurred. One video was fine, the next one like looking through a piece of plastic.

If you need a small easy to use digital camera this is the one. Takes great pictures and easy to use. Carry it inmy coat pocket all the time. If I loose it I am not out a lot of money

After two other point and shoot cameras, which were OK, this one combines all the features I wanted. Bonus- the chip fits all my other cameras, and the slot in the front of my desktop.

I believe the functions of PowerShot. Also PowerShot A 1400 is reasonable price and easy for taking photos. This is one of best camera for anybody.
