I believe the functions of PowerShot. Also PowerShot A 1400 is reasonable price and easy for taking photos. This is one of best camera for anybody.

I bought this cause I like what it doze. I like the camera,I like the zoom on it to bring things closer. it's easy to use, 2 AA batteries n a card. I've take pictures n videos out door n they come out great n download great to. There is a lot of functions it does so will take time to get use to it all. I think it's a fun camera.

This camera is the pits. I have yet to figured out how to take pictures with it. There were not instructions telling me how to operate it in a simplified form.I finally found a notation on the packaging to the 228 page instruction manual could be download on Canon web site. Which id in such fine print I need to use a magnifying glass along with my normal reading glasses.To be honest if I had retained the original packing materials this Camera can with I would have returned it for credit.

I do like the camera - it has the features I wanted at a very reasonalbe price. I was surprised though that it did not come with a memory card and cord to conect it to the computer. I've bought several Canon cameras over the years and they always came with these basics. I took advantage of Amazon's offer of a free card, but thought that would be an extra. I've been very pleased with the performance and durability of my other Canon cameras and expect this to perform well.

The only modern camera with an optical viewfinder. This is very helpful when I am out in the woods in direct sunlight. The screen is all but invisible, making my other camera useless. And it is a simple-to-use Canon A-series. Great camera.

I purchased this camera for office use. So far, we have not had to use it. However, it seems to be a good camera. It took me a while to find all the functions, since there are not many buttons on the body of the camera. All we really need is a simple point and shoot anyways. If you do not need any special functions, then this is a good camera for your needs. VERY basic. Yet, money well spent.

The camera is a good source of taking good images. The use of battery makes Canon PowerShot A1400 better to use where there is no electricity. Portability to this camera is an added advantage.However, its limitations abound. The apparatus can not zoom an image from a distant other than the build-in magnification. The image quality are not the best considering that higher version of Canon exist.

Bought this for my 7 year old Great little starter camera for her, most of the pictures she takes turn out. I don't think you can get much better for the price. Nice little size, the viewfinder is appreciated, and putting 2 AA batteries in is easier than recharging a dedicated camera batter imo. Only thing I don't like is the flash takes a few seconds to recharge, but it tells you this on the lcd screen, so you know when the camera is ready to take another picture.

Just got this camera and took it on a cruise. Like all Canon cameras (I've had many) it is easy to operate and takes great pictures. I got this one for times when I want a small camera that fits well in my purse, and I don't need a big zoom. Best of all, it has a viewfinder. This was great when I was out in the sun and trying to frame a shot. Also uses AA batteries, which is my preference. All in all a nice camera that I will enjoy using.

I was trying to find a small, light camera that would take good pictures and not much else. I don't want lots of features, just inexpensive decent photos. And a viewfinder. Guess I learned my lesson. The viewfinder is next to useless and the photos are such poor quality. After reading so many rave reviews, I was really surprised to see the photos that weren't at all sharp, and so poor compared to my other cameras. I give it 2 stars because it does work, and is light and nice looking. However, I'm returning this.

This camera is made with cheap, lightweight plastics, and does not seem as though it will last more than a few months. The battery must be replaced often, which is a problem when the cap for the battery chamber is flimsy and difficult to align. Worst of all, the software for downloading the pictures is pretty awful, and after several hours trying to work it out, we're still not finding success. Will perhaps give it another hour of our time, but this camera will very likely be returned.

Can't give it 5 stars because I'm not using it, so don't know details... Bought it as a present for a daughter who just had a baby. Grandparents are getting good pictures! What else can I say?

We purchased this for my husband to take along on hikes in the backcountry, something small enough to fit in a shirt pocket or jacket pocket. It's plenty small for that. Also has a viewfinder, his requirement. Also, the display seems to be non-glare, which is an improvement over the old pocket camera we bought years ago. I shoot a bigger Canon, and like the bigger viewfinder that it has. But this one seems good so far. We'll know more after it gets a workout in the "field."

btw to get to your camera filters press the auto button (or the delete button) and set it to livethen press the middle button (or func.set button) and then you can pick what mode you wantI really like this camera so here are some prospro: smallpro: easy to usepro: high qualitypro: takes great picturespro: has a view findernow here are some conscon: only 5x optical zoomand that's really all the cons so I give this little camera 5 0f 5 stars

this item uses batteries, not electrical power.it's smaller then its picture shows.the quality of the picture is not nice especially in the dark.
