Takes very nice pictures, but it is a little confusing to find all the things that the camera does. Have to get on line to find more directions for camera.

I am not able to walk in stores as a result of a broken neck and back. I must depend on web sites to clearly show off product. This camera is so small I can not hold it in my hands. It looked like it would be much bigger in the add. I can't even touch the tiny little buttons on the camera. perhaps it should be listed as a little ladies camera and definitely not, for old farts, with huge restricted hands. thanks Rod Garnett

got this today and went to run my canines. It took very decent pictures. Have yet to try the video. It fits my pant pocket nicely and should be a hit in the nudie bars.

Very disappointed that manual not included. Would pay more if necessary to cover cost of manual. Camera functions are a bittricky and it would have been nice to refer to a paper manual.Cumbersome to have to go online for info and print what I need. Far easier to receive the manual with the camera.

The look through view window helpful when taking pictures. The on/off button on top can be accidentally pushed easier than my previous camera which has resulted in unexpected dead batteries but it is not enough of a problem to send it back or not chose it.

Originally for my honeymoon I was going to buy a low end Prosumer grade Nikon as I have a few lenses from video stuff. My wife pointed out that maybe I didn't want to take expensive lenses and camera overseas. After much searching, I found this!This is pretty compact, perfect for pocket storage. It turns on pretty quickly too so if you are in a rush, it won't take too long to get that picture!The low light ability isn't terrible, but it's not great either. Light noise.You've also got expandable memory so you can swap cards and take more pictures! Or videos.I would recommend buying this for a vacation, or holiday events.

Used this camera on many hiking trips, dropped several times with no damage incurred, it is a solid value for the cost, light weight, easy to operate. Photo's are high definition, easy to make a copy on a CD-R of your recent adventure with the date on your pictures. It makes many memories stay alive!

nice little camera great price does what it is supposed to do, zoom may look fuzzy on the view finder but pictures come out clear.

I got this one to replace my old Nikon that got broke during a trip to Germany. At first the Camera felt cheap but it grew on me. The more I use this camera, the more I liked it. Set up was extremely easy and straight forward. Now sure there is a better cameras out there but not at this price range in my honest opinion. Yes, I don't use it but Eye-Fi is supported. http://support.eye.fi/cameras/canon/powershot_a1400I was going to give it one less star for not coming with a USB cable or any Cables for that matter. But it made up for this because its mini USB input is none-proprietary, yes that's right standard. One of the cables for my USB 2.0 scan disk card reader worked Perfectly. Then to top it off, the Camera was quickly recognized by my DIY-er computer with Windows 8 and my wife's HP Windows 7 Lap Top. I like the view finder. Improvements? 6 or 7x zoom and yes cables but shortcomings/cons are very minimal.

It is not the 'state of art' camera, but at least it is equipped with optic finder, and is driven by AA batteries, which means you can use common rechargeable batteries such as Eneloop.You may need to get use to use this camera, but it is worth trying to shoot a photo by looking into the finder than viewing the small screen.

I got this camera for the fish eye effect. It was a good price on Amazon so it wasn't that much more than a fish eye filter. The camera has a bit of texture feel to the plastic and a metal tripod mount. It is packaged cheaply from Canon as there is no computer cord or manual. They just give a start up paper that gives a web site where you can download a manual. If you know digital cameras the manual isn't a big deal but to a novice it could be a big help.

With an old Mavica disk camera on its last legs, I finally bought this digital. It seems to work fine, with what I've figured out so far. Instruction sheet is grossly inadequate; it mainly just tells you how to turn it on (in 12 languages) and has diagrams that don't match actual unit. Will have to do some on-line research for better instructions.
