I hacked this hard drive to use in Xbox 360 Slim. It works great, provide a lot storage for my Xbox 360. You can find the procedure for hacking this hard drive for your Xbox 360.

This drive works very well in the Antec ISK150 case with the intel Atom main boards. You canot hear it when it is running and it the performance is very good for my application.

This Hard Drive works great for the PS3. All you need to do is back up your old hard drive's save data onto a USB stick, take out the old hard drive, and swap out the casing on the hard drive itself. This part is actually the hardest if you don't have the right kind of screwdriver, but in terms of overall ease, it's a cakewalk.Once you slide the hard drive in (it fits like a glove), just turn on your PS3, and it'll automatically do the rest for you. At first, I was afraid that I would have to stick the hard drive in my computer to format it, but fortunately that was not the case. After the PS3 is done formatting, just restore your save data from the USB stick and you are good to go.

I ordered this to replace the paltry 160 gb hard drive in my HP Mini 210 Atom-powered ("powered?") netbook and it installed easily.Make sure you have back up disks to reinstall Windows. I burned a set of back up discs using the built-in program installed on the HP Mini but they didn't work - despite the utility program supposedly running a verification program after burning. Oh well, I found a disk from another netbook and used that for the reinstallation.Now my little netbook can hold some FILES!Packaging (Amazon Frustration Free bulk oem) was safer than their unfortunate foray into "no" packaging last year.

Великолепно

Great and affordable HDD for my PS3. Received it fast and installed it in with ease. Also sounds way smoother and quieter then the stock PS3 HDD so that's always a plus. Have bought plenty of WD products and they haven't failed me once so will continue to buy their product. Also, I can finally use my PS3 as a multimedia system with this HDD upgrade.

This HDD causes the PS3 to lag and freeze constantly during some games. It is horrendous on FFXI Online. Factory HDD had no issues, install this junk had these issues, replaced factory HDD and game runs fine again.If you want to upgrade your PS3 HDD, look elsewhere.

This is the 4th Scorpio 500Gb that I've received. I bought 2 of them for RAID 1, but one went out. i got the replacement and that went out. Now I have the 3rd one. If this doesn't work, then I'm switching to another drive.I have no complaints other than 2 crashed on me. No data was lost.I'd recommend getting a solid state drive if you can afford it. I don't really feel like paying $3400 for two 500GB SSDs right now, so I'm just going with two of thess. $3400 is just a bit too expensive for me.Despite everything it's a quiet, decent drive.4 stars.

I replaced my old 40G HD from my PS3 and replaced it with this one. It works fantastic. It was easy to replace, just follow the directions with the Playstation manual.

I bought this to replace my original 40gb hard drive that came with my PS3. I was originally only looking for a 250gb hard drive, but noticing the jump in price from 250gb to 500gb was only about 5 bucks, I decided, why not?It installed in less than five minutes. Formatted it, restored my original data, and up and running in no time. It has been running like a champ since installing it.I would highly recommend this HD if you're looking for a cheap upgrade for your PS3.

I installed this in my ps3, upgraded from 80gb to 500gb, hopefully it will last for another 3 years with my HD videos being dumped into it.The drive works flawlessly and I don't see any speed issues either.

This is a great drive for the price. This is my 5th 500gb drive, i've use them in my PS3, MacBook, HP laptop, and external enclosures. Never had a single issue with these drives.

Well I am not very savvy when it comes to tearing into computers and electronics. But my playstation 3 needed an upgraded hard drive and this one was the right price and has tons of memory i will never fill up. Great packaging insured it wouldn't get damaged.It installed in about 2 minutes and I was up and running. Don't hesitate to buy this hard drive for your computer needs.

Nothing Special here - product as advertised - Shop around - price is very volitile - dropped $10 as soon as I purchased - Post office lost the package - it took over 30 days to arrive. Amazon very helpful - after their tracking was removed, they were monitoring for delivery - Select your shipping options carefully. If you need by a specific time, pay for the extra shipping.

I bought this as a replacement for my PS3 drive came with my old ps3. Well, this one hasn't died yet, but it certainly isn't adequate for the ps3. It has constant lags where it just freezes in the XMB even, and often when in any game that requires much. Works ok for 1 player games, but when go to 2 or more people (even in rockband adding a second person) you get a lag in the first 5 seconds of the song for about 3 seconds.May be good for other applications, but not sure how.

Perfect for the job. I needed a larger hard drive for my MacBook Pro. Installation on my particular model required the most screw removal, but trading out the hard drive was simple. The operating system and files had been cloned over to the new drive by using an external USB hard drive case. Replaced all screws, flipped the computer over, and booted up ready to rock and roll.

I bought this hard drive to replace my stock 40gb that came with my Generation 1 PS3. The backup process, swapout and data restore were all painless. It was great to see the huge size after the reboot. This drive makes virtually no noise while it loads or saves.This is a must-get upgrade for PS3 owners with the original, small drives.

I bought this product last week and installed the hard drive into my ps3 with ease. Not only do I have a 500 gb hard drive in my ps3, its super quiet. This is a great product and for 60 dollars you cant go wrong.
