I have to say that I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with this purchase. I recently acquired a PS3 and was unhappy with the amount of digital storage space that it had. For those of you who don't know the PS3 is more than a gaming system, it's a fully functional gaming hub. I successfully installed the scorpio and now have almost 100gb of MP4's (movies), MP3's (music), and fully digital games installed. It works like a charm and is a bargain at this price. I am strongly considering buying another for my laptop.

I was looking to upgrade my Macbook from the easily filled 80GB drive that came with it. I have a lot of music and tons of pictures that i shoot in Raw format, so this 320GB drive provided a big relief with tons of storage space.My laptop is running faster and I no longer get any "drive almost full" errors anytime I edit pictures in Photoshop. Thumbs up to this drive.

Definitly noisier than the stock Macbook drive. I never noticed any noise before, and this is just loud enough to be annoying. I can feel a very slight vibration as I type. Maybe I got a dud...

This drive works wonderfully as a replacement for my internal drive!Replacement is easy if you search for instructions, and the guide i found had useful diagrams.Just make sure you have a set of torx drivers and small screwdrivers.Drive is quiet (better than the one it came with), and i have no noticeable change in battery life.I highly recommend this drive to anyone who wants/needs to replace the internal Macbook Pro one for either larger capacity or the reason of "your roommate is a retard and dropped it", as mine was.Works well with an external USB drive bridge and windows XP (running macdrive), as well.

I bought this drive about 3 weeks ago, and haven't had one problem yet. I got it for my PS3, and it took about 20 minutes to swap out the old one and put this one in. the only 'hard' part was getting the screws that hold the drive in the tray into this new drive...didn't seem like they were 100% aligned; nevertheless it was no big deal. After formatting the new drive, it came up to about 149gb, which isn't bad.I highly recommend getting this .

This is a good hard drive for use in devices that need a laptop (2.5") sized drive. I'm personally using it for a Mac Mini, but it would also fit into most laptops. I bought it to expand from my original drive's 80 GB capacity, and installation and setup was a snap. This obviously has as much to do with using it on a Mac as the hard drive itself, but the drive was exactly what I needed. Performance seems to be as good or better than my original drive, which is a few years older. I don't use very large files often, so I haven't done any load testing, but the drive seems like it would be excellent for normal use.

The cloning went smoothly with Acronis True Image, the drive popped in easily and it's working just fine. Can hardly hear it at all.

I bought this HDD to upgrade my PS3. The drive came in good condition, installed easily and works great. Great price as well, since it only cost $60 to double my Hard Drive capacity. This is a great choice for those gamers out there looking to upgrade their PS3 HDD inexpensively.

I got my PS3 a year ago and found 60 GB was easy to fill. This drive took about 5 minutes to install and the PS3 recognized it immediately (Formatting took a few seconds).Boy do I wish I got this last year but who knew 60 GB would fill so fast.I love this drive !

Great Hard Drive, it fits my Dell Inspiron 640M perfectly, It's not a 7200 RPM, but the space is more than enough to carry my stuffs around. I had all the technical information from Western Digital website, even the mesaures.Overall, a very good product for a very good price and package.

I bought this drive specifically for use in my PS3. Installation was a breeze. I backed up my old drive to a third external drive, swapped it out with this one, and restored everything with no issues whatsoever. I'm very happy with it -- now I've got room for tons of demos, music, and videos.

Bought this to upgrade my 60GB PS3 and it has not given me any issues so far(knock on wood). It comes to 300GB formatted...PS3 OS eats a little of it but overall great drive.

Used it for my Dell laptop when my 80GB hard-disk crashed. I am outside of the warranty period :(It was easy to replace using the video guides available on the net. Did it in under 5 minutes, even when it is my first time to open up a laptop. Just make sure you need the SATA type. 160GB at 69.99, I think it is a steal.

I still brag about this drive. I got it for 137, and it's in my PS3. Problem solved. It's been in there a while with no problems. It's quiet. Seek time was the same as the stock drive, and it takes the same amount of time to pull anything up. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. It rocks!

My 40gb PS3 was rapidly running out of space, so I was looking for an economical solution. I found this drive for a very reasonable price, and had no difficulty installing it. So far it works great... it is very quiet and more than fast enough for my games and media applications. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.

For those of you who are looking for an upgrade to your storage capability for your laptop or PS3 this is perfect. I installed this in my PS3 within minutes and was up and running with just around 300 GB after format and initial install.It's amazing how small and light this drive is.The drive arrived in an electrostatic bag with plastic frame to keep it protected and in the middle of the box.

I bought this hard drive for my macbook and so far I couldn't be happier. Not only have I had zero problems with it but I do believe that it's a bit faster than and just as quiet as the drive that came pre-installed with the macbook. It was a snap to replace and to move all my backed up files from a firewire drive back over to the macbook. I'd recommend this drive to anyone with a macbook who needs more space for video and audio files at a very affordable price.

I bought this item on AMAZON March'08 to upgrade my laptop from 120 GB to this massive 320 GB. Assembly was a piece of cake. The drive has been running smoothly and does not make any noise whatsoever. I am happy that I could get rid of my older TOSHIBA HD that had been making lots of spindle noise lately. Now, I can store all my favorite music numbers and movies on my HD and watch/listen to them on the GO. I'll use my old TOSHIBA drive as an external drive for sometime as I just bought an enclosure on AMAZON for 25 bucks.

Got this drive as the capacity of the OEM drive provided by Apple for my MacBook Pro 17" was nearing it's capacity. I order a Deckcell USB 2.0 to SATA + IDE (2.5", 3.5", 5.25") Cable with Power Adapter from Amazon at the same time, so moving the data from the internal drive to the new drive was a breeze and painless. After loading the OS, and having the OSX installation process move the data, installation of the drive itself was done (a little cumbersome, but not too bad) and this new drive is performing well and is MUCH quieter than the original OEM drive.If you are considering a replacement drive for your Mac Book Pro, I strongly recommend a look at this drive!

If your standard hard drive that came with the Sony Playstation 3 (20,40,60,80 GB) leaves you wanting more room this is a quick and simple way to fix it. It's plug and play. I haven't had any problems with it so far.

I recently bought an old intel macbook with only 60Gb disc that got full in a few weeks so I decided to get a bigger disc for it. This was a very good economical option, was very easy to install and it is working perfectly. I cannot say that has better performance than the original but now I can have my iTunes in the macbook.I got together with the disc a USB SATA hard drive enclosure from StarTech and was a great help to clone my original disc and also to reuse my old drive to backup the most important files.

As long as you know how to back up your data, switch out your old laptop hard drive to put the new one in, and then reinstall your operating system, then this is a great buy.As for my old 60 GB pocket drive, I'm using it as an external now. Everything turned out just fine.

I was looking to purchase a 2.5" SATA drive and came across this 160GB drive as an upgrade for my Playstation 3, which I use as a media center for streaming music and movies. The drive was extremely easy to install and is situated at a very reasonable price point. I was skeptical at first but it actually does use less power than the 60GB 5400rpm drive that originally came with the thing. Less power consumption means less heat. I am very pleased. For those looking to upgrade their PS3, I recommend looking into getting this drive.

It's not a 7200 RPM drive, but the 160GB of space makes up for it. As fast as my previous 5400 RPM drive.
