I bought this WR841N to upgrade from a Linksys WRT54G router, but I found that it was very slow on download. Using the same ISP, antenna & ethernet bridge, I got the following results with these 2 routers:...........................WR841N............... WRT54GDownload .........0.5-1.5 (MB/s) ......2.5-3.0 (MB/s)Upload............. 1.4-1.5 (MB/s).......1.4-1.5 (MB/s)I had a similar slow download problem with a AIR802 AP-G200 when used as router.

It took me almost an hour hooking this up to my AT&T DSL line, but it was worth not having to pay $100 for the one they were selling. After I figured out how to bridge my DSL modem and get all the user settings right it works great. I wish the instructions were more helpful and the CD is basic and you really have to know all your modem login, password, blah blah blah internet geek stuff before trying to tackle the install. Also, if you have AT&T don't call them for help they will just complain that you should have bought theirs and you will have to figure it out on your own.

It was very easy to hook up with excellent signal and it has never been lost the internet connection for over a month now. We are using the wi-fi for our kindle fire, laptop, iphones and Roku without any trouble. I love it! I would rate it at six stars, not five.

Excellent Wireless Router - It arrived on time and packaged so nothing moved and everything was secure. After it was turned on it auto connected with the Xbox and the laptops with no problem. It has a decently long range for working, and it is very fast. I am very happy with this and I would recommend this router.

Once set up, the unit works well. But the initial set up process took hours, partly because some of the instructions in the manual did not match what we were seeing as we went through the steps outlined. We were pleased with how quickly it arrived.

This product worked well without the installation cd. I would highly recommend contacting your Internet provider and seek assistance installing this if it is the first time to install a wireless router. I would give it a 5 had it been easier to install. It works great but the instructions on the cd are over 112 pages and can be confusing to a newbie! I am now wireless but still confused!

Got this up and running with little problem. Could browse the internet with my laptop just fine but then... I tried to connect with both my Roku box and my Wii. Ugh!! Apparently, this brand of router does not work well for this. I had to talk with Roku support several times and change this setting and that setting on the router but to no avail.. would never connect to the network. Went to the store and bought a Belkin router, installed it.. no problem at all connecting to my other devices. This is going DIRECTLY back to Amazon for refund.

Bought 3 of these to replace my scabbed together linksys and dlink system. Easy setup, didnt use cd. There is enough web info out there on how to setup with out cd. I am finally getting my monies worth for my high speed comcast. Went from 15mbps to 30 on downloads and 5-6 on uploads. Set up 2 access points with other 2. So far so good. Will append review in month to see if all still working. and as always, great service from amazon.

This router is good for small houes/apt. Resonable for the cost. Security features are good.But I am having a small problem with this. My laptop gets disconnected arbitrarily any time. Sometimes I have to manually reconnect to the Wi-Fi. Most of the times it reconnects itself.have updated to the latest firmware, but still facing the problem. Not sure how do I resolve this issue.

Bought this to replace a failing Linksys WR54G. The setup web interface response much faster than the Linksys and the menu layout is logical. Works great, much better coverage.

Easy to set up. Has been on line for about 30 days with no issues. I bough this to add another wireless router to my home. With just one I had dead spots. I now have two and can pick the one with the best signal as I roam around.

Works great does not drop signal like old router. Very good coverage area. Easy to set up. I use this for 9 different wireless products no problems with any of them.

Works great with an iPod Touch, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and various other mobile devices. Also seems very stable with zero lockups thus far. Not bad for the price!It's not compatible with the popular Tomato firmware, but I believe you can load DD-WRT on it. That was fine for me as I am just using this as an access point.

Very great router! I use it for streaming videos, downloading games, and playing occasional video games and it has never disconnected or lagged yet.

Had some issues at first, but were resolved with the help line. They do farm out off shore so beware of accents. But thats no surprise why the product does not have a high price. Functions work very well and has a fast up/download rate being an N router. Would recommend rather than the name brand pricey routers.

Enthused by all the positive we bought this router, but were unable to instal it. We struggled with TP-link customer service for two days but got little assistance of any value. Some of their customer reps are very difficult to understand, by the way. The router worked without a security key but failed once we set up a security password, and TP-link was unable to solve this problem. Finally, the only advice they had was 'Return the item '-which we did.

My experience with TP-Link products has been much better than with the better known wireless routers and the price is much lower! I've used TP-Link routers at home, a couple friends' networks, and at my church. Reliable, easy to setup, and easier on the $$$.

ORIGINAL REVIEWThere's little mention of Mac compatibility on the website, and their "Easy Setup Software" is PC only and for some reason included on a mini-CD (only works on tray-loading CD-drives -- don't stick it in your slot-loading Mac!)So I was amazed to plug it in and watch it start up, configure itself, and take my computer online within a few seconds. WHAT??? Not even my Airport Express was that easy to set up. And I can already tell this thing is blazing fast with a much stronger signal -- probably because I'm now on an N network instead of G (I had an older Airport Express). My iPhone now gets THREE bars in the master bedroom, when it used to get ONE.I also love the 4 LAN ports that let me use CAT-5 to connect my iMac, Apple TV, and TiVo for maximum speed, but also have strong/fast WiFi for my iPhone and MacBook.Pleasantly surprised by this product's low price and zero configuration. (although I recommend you open 192.168.1.1 with your browser and add a password).UPDATED REVIEW AFTER 2 WEEKS OF USEUnfortunately, I've had ongoing problems with connectivity on this router... My devices (iPhone, iPad, Laptop) say they're connected at full strength but then they often time out, can't find server, etc. I'm sending this back and getting an Airport Express -- hoping for better reliability.

I bought this to upgrade from my Netgear router, which I started having numerous issues with. Mostly with streaming video, and using Netflix via the LG TV and Wii console. The router was easy to set up with ALL devices, Windows and Mac, iPad, TV, Wii, etc. The speed is great, the price was perfect. I would HIGLY recommend this router!!

Set up is easy, just run the attached CD and follow the instruction. (Window XP sp3). connection is good for me and my wife watching the movies online smoothly at the same time. Hopefully it will last long.By the way LINKSYS WRT54G is really trash, it lost signal very often and you have to keep reboot it all the time .
