I recently purchased my first personal laptop. I wanted wireless internet for my house and wanted to spend less than $100 to accomplish this. I basically bought this router after searching Amazon, determining it was the type I needed, and finding it to have several good reviews, as well as reviews that contained detailed information about what to expect with the installation and features. I found the installation to be straight forward and the signal is great throughout my house (the router is kept on the second floor while 99% of the computer usage is downstairs). I spent quite a bit less on this router than I had set out and am very happy - about four months of use and no problems. I would definitely recommend this product.

Setup was a breeze and the wireless connection is great. Live in a 700sq feet area and the connection is down to 4 bars in the farthest corner of the house. Looks good so far (1 week) and hopefully will continue to perform.Update Jan 2012: Still working great and no complaints. Getting another one for a friend.

Great router TP-Link TL-WR841ND 300Mbps Wireless N Router - I purchased two of these at an excellent price. They have great signal strength, are fast and easy to setup. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this item to anyone.

The router now sits in the corner, and I almost forgot about it. The reason - it just works with no issues so far.It was easy to set up, it automatically found all the right settings to connect to my cable modem (once I figured out that I needed to power cycle the modem after I connected the router to it). I manually changed all the WLAN security settings to use an advanced encryption. Similar to the previous reviewer, I did not use the installation CD.Now the router pairs nicely with a laptop (WLAN N) and a desktop (using another great TP-LINK product - 150Mbps USB adapter TL-WN722N). Desktop reports 150Mbps link all the time (about 30 feet distance), and so far I experienced no dropped connection, despite having many active WLAN routers around my apartment. During installation, I looked for the least used WLAN channel and set the router to use it.I did an extensive research to find the best moderately priced 300bps WLAN N router before choosing this product, and so far I am very happy with my choice.

I bought this unit to expand my wireless coverage in my home using WDS. It hard to beat this unit for the price. One warning about this router... Select a security option and don't leave it set to "Auto". If you do, you will have wireless signal drops. It has all the router bells and whistles and will give good wireless coverage.

I purchased this router after I knocked one of the stand-up type off my desk and broke it. It is not bulky, therefore it does not take up much space - lies flat on the desk, so less chance of me knocking it off. Has a nice range and is easy to setup. Have been well pleased thus far.

Do not get this router. Just go spend a little more and get a linksys or netgear router. I saw the good reviews and decided to give it a try, but I really regret that. Every few pages, I get the "problem loading page" message. Also, wifi is very slow. I really don't know what else I can do. It works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't.

The place we are staying for a month in the warm didn't have wireless. As a two laptop couple, that just would not do. Bought this because it got some good reviews and was inexpensive.Took ten minutes to set up. It was great. Could have been faster if I had booted both devices at the same time. Plug everything in, boot the modem and the router, go through the simple set up CD, it is done. Tray CD only though, it is a little guy. Will not work with a slot load.And fast and has great range. Connected by the pool this afternoon.

I bought this because of the good reviews and the cheap price. I didn't need a super fast wireless modem but wanted something that could speed my 2 iphones, 2 laptops and a desktop. I was impressed how easy this was to set up and also how fast all my stuff got online after the setup. I have not experienced any problems with this product so I feel the positive rating was on target. I love this product and I am sure others will too.

My router crashed every 20 minutes(no response from 192.168.1.1, only power cycle helps)I flashed newer firmware, didn't help.returned it to the store

I bought two of these routers and had them up and running as repeaters within 15 minutes. Like another reviewer said, don't use the CD. If you know a little about networking it is fairly simple and straight forward. They have been in use for over two months without any problems. They have a fairly decent range and work great as repeaters. There are many access control features for bandwith, MAC addresses, etc. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to others.

I had this router up and running in about 30 minutes. I had a Linksys Wirless-G 2.4 GGHZrouter that performed poorly in the environment that it was placed in. My laptop, whenconnected to the Linksys had excellent signal, but only 16 to 18 MGbits in speed. This was barelyadequate for streaming video, etc. My upstairs computer and my son's XBOX, which is also upstairs,had minimal connection speed. The TP-Link made a dramatic difference! My laptop is now connectingat 130MPS, and the upstairs computer and XBOX both have excellent connections. The XBOX had notrouble recognizing the TP-Link router and my son now plays online with no lag at all. Highly recommended.Get this router!!!

I didn't have a router since my laptop was near the cable connection; however, I had a lot of problems logging into my company's network and someone said a router might fix the problem. I really didn't know anything about routers and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I searched on-line and read all the customer reveiws before deciding on the TP-Link 300 Mbps Wireless N Router and I am thrilled with it! It fixed the problem I had logging in to my company's network and I am able to use my laptop anywhere in my house. The set up took less than 10 minutes (including security set up). I love it ... good value for the money! I have used it almost every day and it continues to function well.

Great inexpensive N router. Don't bother with the setup CD, just go straight to the IP. Good range, excellent interface. Some extra features not expected in this price range.Detachable antennas are great if you want to add external ones later. Yes, product looks different than picture, but no big deal. I have worked with a lot of Netgear and D-Link routers in the past and this is at a minimum equal. Throw in the low price and you're way ahead.

I was dreading the installation of this router when I ordered it. My experience with routers has been decidedly negative. Most of the time the instructions are not user-friendly and a person almost needs an advanced degree to put one in and set it up. Not so with this router. I took it out of the box, put the disk in the CD drive, and within a few minutes was up and running. Since then I've had no issues with it so no need to check out tech support. It's low price is another decided advantage.

I am not a novice computer user, and I have set up multiple wireless networks in the past. This critter just wouldn't install and wouldn't connect. I worked with it for two hours, called a friend of mine who sets up wireless networks for a living, and scoured the web for advice. No luck. I called the tech help line, but you have to leave a message. Sorry, but I don't think I like that policy. I boxed it up and mailed it back the same day. Too much trouble.
