Recommended by my nephew and I am extremely pleased. I do not have any problems with connecting and staying connected. I am very pleased with going wireless and this has made the process a pleasure.

This router is great for streaming video but page loaded significantly slower than with my old Netgear. The range is the same if not worst than my old $30 wireless G Netgear router. Also I did notice and increase in ping time. Overall it's a passable router, not all it's cracked up to be.

Not sure exactly what the problem is. But the wireless signal is very unreliable. Pretty sure its the router but time will tell.

I've been very pleased with all my TP-Link products I've used so far. You can also load DD-WRT onto them which is nice if you're looking for some extra features. If you're looking at buying these for DD-WRT, you need to know that you can't enable 40mhz band without purchasing a code from DD-WRT. So you're locked at 802.11n @ around 60mbps compared to 300mbps of 40mhz 802.11n. But I've found the TP-Link firmware to be good and very stable so far.

TP-Link was recommended by my computer tech. He had recommended Linksys (now Cisco) in the past and still does. I had a Linksys wired router and a Linksys wireless G router in my past. The wireless G router started to reset itself every day...sometimes twice a day and the firmware WAS up to date. I finally got tired of resetting it and went for the TP-Link.What an awesome router! Easy to set up and it works very well. I have a T-Mobile Blackberry that connects via wifi hotspot (as reception in my area of town is quite bad) and I can tell the web connection is MUCH FASTER with the TP-Link router.Shipping was quicker than expected. I always use free shipping as the arrival time is, as mentioned, quicker than expected and I save the bucks!Nothing negative to say...all positive!Thanks!

Be warned that this DOES NOT have a removable antenna! I was in a rush when I ordered this and didn't realize that until it showed up. Otherwise it's a great router and I have DDWRT running on it great.

Have to say for the low cost I am satisfied. Had to do a little web searching to set it up for Comcast Hi-speed. Very Happy with the product. It is fast and I Phone, WII and extra laptop came online with little issue.

I was in search of economic router to extend the reach of my wireless network. So I bought the router TpLink wr740n version 2 (the one with the UFO shape) which conforms with this premise, however I did not expect anything special from this wireless router, if it was capable of maintaining a speed of 54Mbps I'd be satisfied.So being a low-cost device and with the purpose of conducting a performance test, I decided to change the stock firmware with DDWRT firmware and that was an excellent decision, the device provides a super stable signal, wireless speed of 65Mbps at mixed mode BGN, it could reach the 150Mbps at N mode but I have to bear with my old wifi devices, good power (the router wr740n comes with a 5dBi antenna), the wan port (blue) is now an additional switch port, I bought it a month ago and I have not had to reboot it.Summarizing, this router, as second AP, is just what I needed plus all the improvements and tweaks the DDWRT firmware provides, it was an Excelent purchase.

I ordered the TP-Link TL-WR941ND to replace my Linksys 54G that would not let my IPOD's or IPAD connect to WIFI. Within an hour I had the TP-Link up and running and I could tell the speed difference immediately. Also, all my IPOD's and IPAD connected right away. Yea! Great product!

This is one of a handful of 802.11N routers selling for under $40 and it's a good one. You get 300Mbps speed, dual-antenna (removable for installation of aftermarket ones) and full WPA2 encryption.It took me 3 minutes to set-up and get working...its reception could be better but it was enough to reach my entire house. My previous router the Linksys WRT54G2 was a good workhorse but lacked the signal strength that this one could broadcast at 802.11N.Don't hesitate thinking this is some cheap chinese knockoff brand trying to copy D-Link...TP-Link routers have a good reputation among the tech community for being of solid quality at a cheap price.

After reading up on this product and taking into account both the positive and negative reviews left here and on CNET, I decided to give it a try. I had been suffering with a Linksys wireless router for 6 months -- it was unreliable, ran extremely hot and had to be rebooted often to maintain a connection. I am moderately tech-savvy; by no means an IT person, but I'm not afraid to give something a try and cross my fingers in hopes that if I read the instructions it will work. There were several reviews left by people who had difficulty setting up this router, so I was a bit nervous. However, I took my time, followed the instructions and it works like a charm on both my Mac and my PC. It was a breeze to set up and I didn't even need the CD that comes in the box to configure it. A quick installation guide comes with the router and that was all I needed to get it working.It took approximately 15 minutes to disconnect the old Linksys and get the TP-Link going. Now that it's up and running I can say it is lightning-fast, doesn't run hot and while it doesn't look as sleek and slim as the Linksys, I'm SO glad I opted for reliability over looks! Pretty is as pretty does, so the TP-Link is darn pretty IMHO. It will be a week or so before I can honestly comment on its reliability and if it disappoints I will certainly amend these comments.If you're on the fence about this product, I'd suggest jumping off and buying it. What a great value for the price.

Update:The replacement process was easy and the new unit is working flawlessly. Some months now, and no problem whatever.Kudos Gang.I've been setting up wireless networks for many years, so I am not new to this.I ordered two of these, one to use as a router, and the other to use as an access point. The access point unit seems to be working fine.The other, however, worked for about an hour, then lost connectivity with my ISP. I can access the router setup via it's URL, but cannot access anything beyond that.I have sent it back with a request for replacement and will update my review after the replacement arrives.Oh, and by the way... What technical support? There seems to be none...

I got this after my WRT54G bricked. It was easy to setup and has a pretty good signal. I have had it setup for about a year now and I have to reset it every couple of months. I am impatient and wont necessarily blame the router as Comcast and their cable modem can be the cause. I dont care enough and havent had enough problems to really investigate the cause. I just reset everything and go on with my day.

This was a nightmare that took up three hours of my time to try and get it to work. When I did get it to work after phone support assistence, it could not be made to work with security enabled. I was told by the tech I was S O L. I returned it for a D-link which is awesome and same price. Tech support was poor with a tech who could not speak english that well. Avoid this junker.

I bought this router for my son who was moving into an apartment building with wifi. Each apartment had to furnish their own router. This was so easy. We basically just plugged it in and turned it on and it worked. Password setup was also very easy. My son is very happy with it and uses it for a laptop and a desktop computer. This was a very good value.

I have been using this product for 4 months. It never hangs once. Very stable.I can set its signal strenght low, mid and high. When I set it to high, I can watch video on wifi 100 ft out of my home.Recommend this product.

I wanted a wireless router at home with a greater range for use with my IPad. I saw that the reviews were very good. Unfortunately, my own experience was quite bad. This device was supposed to be easy to set up. After spending 3 hours including upgrading the firmware on the device, it is still not possible to access the network with or without any security. I tried to call TP Link several times, but the message just says that there is no one available and hangs up. Really a big dissapointment. This one is going back to Amazon.

I am not impressed with this router. It took me over 2 hrs with the TP- Link techs on the phone to get it hooked up, and then it was slow, and needed to be rebooted a couple of times a day. I realize that each intallation can vary the usefulness of the router, but this one gets my thumbs down..

I have used this router for one month and never lose the connection. The signal is reasonably strong to cover a two bedroom apartment and 2-3 computers. I encountered difficulty installing the router with the included cd-rom. But later I figured out how to resolve the problem with the manual. That's the only hassle I had with this router.

This was a great buy, and works perfectly. Had no problem setting up and connecting with the modem I got from Comcast. It came faster than I expected and has been great for my apartment.
