I've used it for over 14 months, and it has been flawless. Great range, and am using a 32G USB stick on the USB port, where it works great for backup of several laptops and PCs. This is a very good price for such a reliable, capable router.

Granted previously I was on a 10/100 network but once I got it going it was pure joy. 16G of data over the hard line in 3 minutes *woohoo* Still have to dive into port forwarding and the menu is a bit hard to follow coming from DDWRT & Tomato but Im sure after I poke for a bit I'll be fine.

I was looking for a solid home router with decent Linux support. While this one is lacking in that area it's been stellar overall. If you're looking for a router for a small home network that supports multiple device connections with ease this is the one to get. Excellent range and strong signal connection.

This router I just recieved it was very easy to setup. It runs fast. I was thinking about getting a dual channel router but this one seems to do the job just fine. I am running 2 cells phones wirelessly and a desktop computer. Also have a wii hooked wirelessly along with 2 xbox 360 directly connected to the router none of them show any signs of being slow. The desktop is about 80 feet away from the router and has no problem picking up the signal its a great product. Good price

I installed dd-wrt on this router and it works great!. Yes you can use the usb drive on the back with dd-wrt. This was one of the questions I had with the product.

Have owned a variety of Wireless Routers from the top manufacturers and this product out performs them all. Packets are not dropped, range and speed are fantastic. Works with PC and Mac's in our home network. Mini Disc CD software a bit clunky but you can fine tune your security as the interface is user friendly. If there are any doubts, download the manual from the manufacturers website. I definitely would recommend this product to anyone who wants a solid performing wireless router at a very good price.

I bought this router to take advantage of my 30MBPS+ internet. After spending a bit of time with the complicated setup and updating the firmware I got it hooked up. The router runs fast for a little, then slows down to .5 MBPS. Multiple times a day it will completely kick me off the wireless network, forcing me to restart the router multiple times until it decides to work for a bit. The tech support is useless, based in China and only tells you common sense stuff, basically if you buy this and it doesn't work, too bad. I'm stuck using my 5 year old router, which is faster and more reliable than this. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

this router took me an hour to set up. i had to keep unplugging my modem and router, resetting, change setting and a all over again. i finally got it to work and it was fast. morning after the first day of figuring it out. i had to reset twice because of lost signal. i decided to go with [...] instead.

Just received this router and was able to flash OpenWRT onto it and configure it with a minimum of effort. The unit is far faster than my old Linksys WRT54GS. This router probably has the fastest CPU available for the price (400 MHz).

I bought two of these routers with the intention of flashing them with DD-WRT. Both flashed extremely fast and easily without any hitches and can be flashed via the router's web GUI (no Telnet, etc). Both routers have been running non stop ever since flashing them and have worked perfectly. I have been very pleased thus far with TP-Link products, especially after having a lot of issues with Belkin routers (hangs, slooooow response, rebooting, over-heating, etc). You can't beat the price vs features with this TL-WR1043ND (for sure when using DD-WRT, but even the original TP-Link firmware is still very usable). I've had several wireless routers over the years, the last being a Netgear N600 WNDR3400. With the TP-Link, I get better signal strength in all parts of my house then with the Netgear.It works GREAT, easy setup, all the features you would expect from a top of the line router, and last but not least, It is very FAST.

Very nice router for the money, set up was a breeze, had it installed and all devices connected in less than half an hour. This replaced an aging Linksys that was needing to be reset about twice a day. So far no disconnects and everything just surfs faster than before. 5 stars from me on this one, would definitely recommend this to anyone/everyone.

After using this router for a couple of weeks, I had to return it because it was flaky. Flaky electronics are worse in my opinion than broken ones. You wind up wasting time wondering why sometimes it's great and sometimes things aren't working quite right. When I owned the router, I searched online, and found a number of threads that echoed my exact experience.At first, I thought I found a great deal here, but after a few days of use, I noticed issues with the wireless connections. Every other day, wireless would stop working. Wireless clients wouldn't be able to get internet traffic. I played around with it and when I change the wireless security settings to WPA (instead of WPA2) things seem to get better. I'm disappointed since signal strength on this router is great, but I can't deal with intermittent wireless issues.

Received the router through the mail quickly, and it didn't take long to go through the initial setup using the cd that came with it. Ran into trouble in the final stage of the setup. It would not access the internet through my cable company's modem. Apparently my unit came with factory setting for ip address as zeroes, and cable setting was for Russian equipment. Talking with tech support, we got everything staightened up two hours later, and is now running great. There was a lot of trouble my understanding the techie; her accent was very heavy, and I'm not all that computer savy. I also found it strange that we had to clone a MAC setting on one of the set up procedures; however, everything is running fine, I now have my own wi-fi hotspot, and am able to stream video onto my Roku, so I can happily vegitate in front of the tv.

Fastest router I have ever had... It seem to connect to all areas of the house.... no matter where I happpen to be. wireless, I get 300 Mbps and wired, I get 1Gb. Nice!!!

Router would lock up 2-3 times a day under light use. I had to recylce power to get the unit to function again. I checked the TPLINK website for a newer version of firmware, but I already had the latest.

I'm sure this works for others, but did not work for me. Well made, set up was easy to follow. Wanted this to work, but it dropped connection once a day to 5 times a day.I found customer service helpful, polite, patient but were unable to resolve my situation. I returned it to Amazon within the month of purchase. I also bought the 300 tp link adapter so that my wonderful Acer One G-rated wireless would be able to pick up the N router and that too has been to no avail. bummer. Looking else where.

Getting Speeds of 30-50mb down 4-5mb up with DD-WRT versus the measely 5-10mb down 2mb up with stock firmware. Flash DD-WRT Meow! Will work with version 1.8 Use WPA2 Personal security. Cox Las Vegas ISP.

people with bad reviews with setup woud have been OK if they would turn off firwall. I had problems until I turned mine off and then it was a breeze.

They are packed with features and offer VERY EASY and thoroughly explained setup instructions for everything. Make sure you reboot the thing on every change, as some combinations without reboot tend to cause problems. Other than that, for the price, a real steal. I totally recommend this thing for all those out there looking for a nice, manageable and solid Wifi enabled router.

I compared routers for about a month before purchasing this one. I am very happy I bought this one. I followed the instructs for setup and everything went smoothly. However, when I went to connect my Wii things didn't jive. I had to restore the default settings and start over. That fixed it. I also, having read and reread the instructions have been unable to hook up a usb storage device to it that I can then connect to wirelessly. Will be working on this more in the next few days.

This router worked perfectly. I had my whole network up and running within 15 minutes, with no lag anywhere. I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for a high-end, low cost router.
