My previous router required frequent restarts - sometimes within 5 minutes of the last restart. I have the TP-Link travel router and have found it to be stable and speedy. I bought a full-size TP-Link router, assuming I would have a similar experience.So far, it's been fantastic! Set up was relatively pain-free (the key is to follow the directions PRECISELY). Even though I don't have any N adapters, I still have noticed dramatically faster connection speeds. More importantly, it's been running for 5 days and NO RESTARTS REQUIRED! Yahoo!

*EDIT*Just to update, this router is extremely unstable with the latest firmware and wasn't totally reliable even before that. Seems the latent network load all my devices create tend to bog the router down and it locks up constantly requiring a full reboot. I've flashed the firmware 3 times and still it drops out or just flat locks up. Just upgraded to a Netgear WND4500 so I don't have to worry about the issue anymore. I'll probably flash dd-WRT on it to use as an extender for my outdoor areas. Hopefully it will serve at least that purpose.******Everything came as promised and the setup was so simple my 5 year old could have done it. What more can you ask?! The speeds are fantastic as I can now enjoy the full speed of my internet service vs my old 802.11g router which was very limited in bandwidth saturation and couldn't supply all the wifi devices in the house (xbox, 2 cell phones, 2 kindles, 3 computers and the wii) fighting for internet time. Very fast and great range (almost 3000 sq ft of living space covered, not to mention my cellphone picks up in the yard so I can stream music while I'm working outside). Highly recommended for value and function.

Recently(?) in April, and especially starting at the end of July, in to August 2012 they changed the firmware so that it turns off the WAN (aka "internet") port when it tries to update. This was supposed to be helpful, but it's actually really annoying. You're going to need to find a german version of the firmware, called "wr1043nv1_de_3_9_17_up_boot(100331)" (google it, there's a couple of sources) and install that. Once the german firmware is installed, you can update to DD-WRT or OpenWRT easily. Build #18777 is a known good working version to upgrade to. Once you have 18777 installed, you can upgrade to a more recent version. The full version is called "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/19/12) std - build 18777", you can google for that too. Good luck!

I bought this to use as a "repeater," to strengthen the wifi signal in remote areas of the house. Finally, it works beautifully but the only way to get it working was to find the correct youtube video on setting it up. The manual and many youtube videos were worthless.

Ok..your looking for a good wireless router and youve been checking the reviews..and you want to see if there is a "5 star" router out there. Well..forget it. Theres is none. Nano. Well..maybe there is one or two but they have only been reviewed by a few people. Thats not a big enough sample. If you look at all the routers here..and compare..youll see about a 20 to 30% bad rating. All of them. D-link..Cisco..all the big boys. Its nearly a accepted fact that China, taiwan, and all the east asian countrys dont mind putting out a small percentage of "hardware failed" routers, as long as they keep selling them. So roll the dice..buy this router and if you get a good one like I did, youll be very happy. Range is awesome..this things pumps 4 bars clear down in my basement from the 2nd floor. No disconnects as of yet. And the price is unbeatable. And it runs COOL. I had a 941nd before this..and it lost connection nearly every day. I guess it was one of the "20 to 30% club" routers. Roll the dice..buy it..and if its bad..send it back. If you got a good one..youll love it! 4 stars is because all router manufacturers know they have 20% defective routers. :)

It has a great set of features for the price you pay. Gigabit router with good bandwidth and range. The USB feature is great when it works! Has some annoying glitches that makes me give only three stras. The USB drive feature was not working, but the software update fixed it. After I started using this router, I noticed that my computers will loose internet connectivity once in a while even though it is connected to the router. Sometimes I have to disconnect and reconnect again to get the internet connectivity back. This never used to happen before I started using this router and now it happens to all my computers every few days. Makes it annoying especially when you are not home and others in the family can't get online untill you go fix it.

I love this thing, the signal is great! Via windows 7 Homegroup, I can watch vids from my wired desktop to my wireless laptop without any lag as compared to my previous set up with my old router that was constantly buffering.The only things that bother me hence the 4 star rating:1) The occasional hard reboots that I have to do.It may be though that my ISP be causing this, due to the fact that my old G router did the same thing a little more often.2) On my phone it shows a weaker signal, but it seems faster than my previous G router so it could just be that the readings are off... who knows.

The manual for cable users was easy to follow and was fast to setup! I would recommended this router to people who are looking for wireless setup with minimum setup time. Video streaming worked perfect.

JUST THE PERFECT ROUTER FOR HOME NETWORKING. IT IS VERY SECURE AND IT GIVE YOU ACCESS TO YOUR DATA FROM BASICALLY ANYWHERE ON THE NETWORK. IT WORK QUITE OK WITH MY NOKIA N8, MY SONY N200 STREAMING PLAYER AND MY LG BLURAY STREAMING PLAYER. I WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS ON MY VIZIO 47 INCH BUILT IN WIFI TV. I had a very difficult time finding a router that would work in my house. Signal would quickly drop. This one does not have the problem. Set up was also very easy - especially with my wireless printer.

This router worked amazing for the first few months with great speed and range where ever in my house but after those short months this router needed to be reset every day sometimes every hour. Sometimes it would not even work for a while and then start working again. I purchased this product new.

Pros: When it works, it's fine. Got speeds as expected from ISP, coverage was decent considering it went through 3 rooms/5 walls to our living room. Easy setup via the router interface.Cons: Doesn't come with a setup CD for Macs, if that's what you need to set it up (otherwise just go to 192.168.1.1). Biggest con though, by far, is that I had to reset it every 2-3 days for it to work. My devices would still detect the wireless signal but upon trying to connect the request would timeout. Even wired connections wouldn't work.Having to constantly reset it is ridiculous, I'll be returning this product. May be a defective unit.

I bought this router on the recommendations of others in this posting. i was upgrading my network from 100 to Gig. new cables, new switches - the works. First day it worked fine. it did work with all of the switches I had and even the powerline adapters I had recently upgraded. since then, it has (in no particular order) deleted the username and password repeatedly, lost connection with my modem, drop internet IPs from machines hooked to it, change security settings at will, failed to recognize modem only to re-recognize it after going back to factory defaults and reentering every thing by hand. it did this repeatedly over the next 10 days. it would not maintain an internet connection for any length of time. overall very bad investment. no hard or soft reset seemed to have any affect. and it had the latest firmware on it to top it off. what ever is wrong with this thing, it is going back to Amazon. the one star was for Amazon return process. couldn't be easier and that was the only bright spot in this ordeal. well second bright spot, being an Amazon prime member it came in the two days promised. again Amazon was great, this device, very low. I am back to my original Asus router which is even working now being just plugged in and miracle I am on the net. Amazon is great. TP-link at least this product, not at all. and this is my first review of any product bought on Amazon which until this has been stellar!BUYER BEWARE - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Setup wizard is jinky. Instructions are jinky. Tech support is not helpful at all. This router was kind of a pain to setup, primarily because of the OOMA VOIP device I was using. Good tech support would have helped me identify the problem.

It'd get a five star rating if it hadn't started randomly dropping connectivity three+ times a few days after the year mark. It still works fine when ONLY being used as a wireless access point, but that doesn't really mean much.

This is a cheap way to have dependable wi-fi in your home. I am using this with my laptop, wireless printer, & 2 wireless blue ray players for netflix. The only negative might be that during setup you have to connect directly to computer.

continual disconnects, needs daily resetting. Easy setup, good wireless and routing performance but daily resetting required which renders it useless
