Playing Ace Combat Event Horizon, this controller can be customized to have the controls the way you want them and where you want them. Controller is solid, high quality and great response when playing. Splitting the controller to have your left hand control the thrust and weapon switching is cool while flying attacking with your right. I love this controller one of the best I have played with. Customizing is easy to work out with no need to read instructions. Awesome value for money.If this controller was wireless I would have given it a 5/5!Great value for money and any flight sim.

ive tried this joystick out for about a week now and this is what i think about it.1st off there are plenty of of buttons and the joystick its self is not loaded down with them. all of the buttons on the throttle base are within easy reach.aside from buttons the joy stick is verry smoth and good spring tension. also the spring is adjustable for a stiffer or a more relaxed feal. the throttle is smooth but the only thing that i dont like is the center stop. i play Aces High II and throttle movement is key, as your contantly adjusting the throttle having it stop in the middlecan kinda be a hassle, althoug its not bad enough to take awy from it. i hop it lasts as long as my sietech pro 290(7 yrs and still going).

We purchased this item as a Christmas present for our grandson, age 12 (almost 13). I am the grandmom and do not have a clue as to how it works; however, he hooked it up right away and began "flying". We had to research it to ensure that it would be compatible with his new computer that has Windows 7 - and it was. We read a review from a pilot who said that it was good for beginners. Our grandson likes it a lot. When the kids are pleased, we are pleased!

Just have to say it's awesome! I bought this Item to play Battel Field 3. I purchased this game because people told me they have aircraft you get to fly. Well after trying the PS3 original controller I was crashing heli and other aircrafts like they were going out of style. I never play battle Field before still learning the game. After trying this Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X Joystick with Detachable Throttle Control (PS3/PC), what a difference is like day and night. I am a top gun now with just a 3 hrs of play,it takes time adapting to the buttons but I like how easy it flies the helis smooth and easy, no crashes for me and the tanks love this system too. Easy to set up just take your time getting used to it.

This is a well made heavy Stick. I us it with a Ms Flight sim X. The feel amd control of the stick is very good. The functions of the buttons are all pre programed. The stick is a joy to use. I would recomend to anyone. The price is great and I don't think you need to buy any thing more expensive than this.

I am very happy with this flight stick. It took me some time to get it programmed correctly, as the instructions were somewhat limited, but it's well worth the price. This stick works fantastic once you get it set up correctly, it's hard to beat.

I had just got a new system and was low on cash so I got this cheap joystick set to hold me off till I could get a good yoke., the yoke was on me and I was so glad I did not have money to shop, and got this instead. IT MAY BE CHEAP, BUT IT IS NOT CHEAPLY MADE. first off, for those saying, its too loose.. it's too tight.. read the directions,, there is a knob on the bottom for you to turn to set the tension to your liking.also under the device is the Allen wrench to put it together, so of you complained that they did not give it to you, try looking under the yoke. I just hope you over looked it and it is there for you if you still need it.I do wish there were more buttons, but I am 47 years old, have been with flight sim since only the sears building was in it, I got to say, very impressed and built like a bull. It's great for putting it in your lap too, real comfortable. I like it a lot, was much more then I expected even with the other reviews, I just couldn't think it to be too good for the price. I thought most of the reviews were from people who really didn't know any better... I apologize to all of you.

I had used a Saitek Cyborg X controller for a little more than a year. I bought it because of the dual throttle control. This unit is of course made for a single engine, so only one throttle control. I have also used several other flight sticks, and had some small issues with all of them.The things I didn't really like about the Saitek were it was not heavy enough and thus tended to move around to easily, it just did not feel very solid, and the buttons didn't seem very high quality.Those issues are gone with this controller! It is large, heavy and solid. I had no problem attaching the throttle to the stick; and after doing so, it seems quite solid to me. Another reviewer said it felt like it was going to come apart; maybe they changed the design, but that is not the case for the unit I have. I have not tried using the throttle separate from the stick, but I somewhat suspect that if I did, I could well have the issue of the separate controls doing some moving around. Connected together, the unit is almost 5 pounds, and it doesn't have any tendency to move around. The one drawback to having the controls attached together is that the large throttle control does seem to be just a bit to close to the stick; but for my purposes at least, this is not really an issue.The throttle has a "detent" at 50%. At first, I was not sure I was going to like that, but it didn't take much flying at all before I realized I really do like that. I reasigned the rudder (I use only a PC, and almost exclusively use only MSFS 2004)to the slider control lever on the throttle. I found this allows me a better feel for the seperate use of rudder and ailerons, and I also better like the feel of it for steering on the ground.The unit has only 12 programmable buttons as opposed to 14 on the Saitek, so I had to give up 2 button assignments. The one I had to give up and miss the most is elevator trim; now I have to trim via the aircraft panel or keyboard -- oh well, I had to do that before the Saitek, so it isn't really an issue either.I am very happy with this controller, and I think it will be the controller I will use many years beyond the others I have had; and for the price ($10 less than the Saitek, at least at the time I purchased it), that is a really good deal.

What a great surprise this flight stick turned out to be. I was in the marked for a new stick and saw this T-Flight Hotas for $34.00 and decided to jump on it. I was surprised at how solid the build and design are. A good hefty weight keeps the unit centered without wabbling around and the stick resistance/spring are nice and firm. Controls are laid out nicely and are easy to use with Flight Simulator X and X-Plane 9. My only very small issue is that the throttle could be a little more resistant but that's just personal preference. Overall a great value for the money and a great stick/throttle combo.

I absolutely love this flightstick. Prior to buying this Thrustmaster I had a Logitech Attack 3 Flightstick which I enjoyed but I got to tell you this Thrustmaster is amazing. I'm not a Flight Simulator person or I should say that I am not trying to learn to fly. I am one of the guy's that like games where I can simply fly around and blow stuff up. Anyway, the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick has all the programable buttons that need along with a great layout. You can combine the thrustmaster and use it as one unit or separate the throttle from the flightstick with a allen wrench which is provided. The flightsticks touch is adjustable for firmness. The rudder function can be contolled by the flightstick by twisting the stick to the lft or right or there is a button on the throttle you can use. The throttle itself is great, on most sticks it is usaully very small and in a bad location. I could go on and on about this flightstick but I'm not, I promise if your looking for flightsick you will be happy you purchased this Thrustmaster.

i needed a stick to enjoy my aircraft simulation games. this one is more than offordable and provide the possibility to set all buttons. by the way even if it is not force feedback you can set the power level. Seller is awsome and shipping so quick.

I have been struggling between this one and the more expensive Saitek Flight Stick. I am glad I bought this one, it has everything I can hope for. It is easy to use, plug and play right out of the box. Has many buttons to assign all critical functions. I played flight simulator games, and even NFS, need for speed. I will recommend this.

My FSX flight simulator experience has gone to a completely new level with this flight controller. I can now fly helicopters with almost complete control, a control I never had with any other joystick before. The plug and play feature is at the top of the list of features this unit is capable of. Everything is programmable which allows you to set it up the way you want it. The price is affordable and the unit is very solid and durable.This thing is huge and gives you the ability to be in control. By separating the throttle module from the joystick and mounting it to a separate slanted board setup you not only get the feel but you also get amazing control not possible with just a joystick.The only drawback I have with the unit is the length of the wire connecting the joystick and throttle module. The length is only 21-22 inches and that limits your ability to configure a set up to what you may have in an actual aircraft cockpit without occasionally kneeing or bumping the connecting wire. If the wire was much longer, maybe as long as the USB cable and maybe even with a plugin on one end to disconnect, it would allow you to route the wire out of the way from any accidental tugging or pulling and also allow you to store your setup more easily when not in use .Overall I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting a Hotas flight controller for your pc.

I've only had this item for a day and I have to say that I'm very impressed. Everything checks out with Arma 2. Haven't used it with FSX yet but will do so later on. What more can I say that many reviewers already haven't? This was well worth the 40 dollars and I'm glad to add it to my arsenal of gaming tools.

It has been a year since I purchased Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick and I'm very happy with the purchase. I use it for playing Microsoft Flight Simulator X and 2004. I love the responsiveness of the joystick. Flying a B737 or C152 even the slightest movement of the stick is registered and gives a very realistic feel.There are lots of buttons to play with, there are buttons for trimming the aircraft, raising and extending the landing gear, button to change the view etc etc. The soft button on the rear of the thrust lever doesn't seem to work for some reason. The calibration utility in Windows detects the button but I guess its not mapped in the simulator. At the bottom there is a knob to tighten the controls which is very useful.The entire assembly can be detached in two, the stick and the thrust lever (I personally like it being one). The unit is big an takes up sizable amount of workspace, if you have a tiny table you'll find it hard to make place for it. The wire which connects to the computer/PS3 is long enough (about 4-6 feet).The unit is sturdy and looks like it will last me a good time, the calibration is still perfect so I have nothing bad to say.

I Got this stick several months ago. I ended up reselling it after a few weeks: the stick has an exceptionally large deadzone, and combined with stiff springs, this made any sort of precision movement extremely difficult. For me, and the games I was trying to play (Freespace 2, Falcon 4) this was a dealbreaker.Other than the deadzone, the stick is quite nice: lots of buttons, good feel, easy to configure. It's hard to beat at the price, but I simply couldn't stand the huge deadzone.

It's a perfectly functional HOTAS system, and the price can't be beat. Of the twelve PC-mappable buttons, ten of them are in easy reach of the fingers: four on the joystick and six on the throttle (four under the thumb, two under the index finger). The rocker switch on the throttle is nice if you don't want to use twist for rudder.I do have two quibbles, though: first, the throttle has a detent at about 50%. It's not a huge problem, but it is a bit annoying if you're trying to fly around half throttle--it'll fall into the detent, and it's tough to get it out without a 10%+ jump in throttle setting. Second, although the stick has adjustable resistance, I don't particularly like the curve: it's got very little resistance around neutral, and much higher resistance at the extremes.Still very much worth the money, though.

I got this about a year ago and its completely useless. I got it for Microsoft flight sim X and the calibration has a mind of its own. I've only been able to calibrate it right one time but after that, up is down, left is right. It's just basically collecting dust now and I'm out $40. DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!!!

This is the best value HOTAS EVER!!!!! Hands on throttle and stick? No no, more like hands on awesomeness!!! All the people talking about how it has a lot of draw in the motion and not enough buttons, you must have bought something else. I use this for flight sim x and it has PERFECT sensitivity for control input. Honestly, I don't even know why anyone is complaining. This is an amazing controller for 40 bucks. Look, if you want more bells and whistles, spend 500 bucks and get a warthog or something. But, if you're a casual sim pilot like me, look no further; drop $40 and take off!

This has to be one of the best joystick/throttle combos I have ever had. I like MS Flight Sim X and this is a great thing to use for it. Matter of fact it is already preprogramed for it. There is one downside about this product though and it is the cord length when you seperate the throttle from the joystick. It needs to be longer. But I adjusted to the short length and am dealing with it. Very pleased though other then that. Oh if you play the Digital Combat sims (A10C Warthog) you will have to manually assign this joystick to it. I found info about it on google search. Overall though this is a great buy.

tried this for hawx and fsx both calibrated correctly according to the calbration setup 1st issue is full throttle was not full throttle(no afterburners, max liftoff, etc) 2nd the stick would require about 1 inch of movement before a reaction and left only another inch or less of play so i returned this (thanks amazon #1)

I bought this stick for use with MS Flight Simulator X. I bought it to replace an older stick that I had and this one works great. There was no need for me to program any of the buttons. I just plugged it in started the program and was flying in no time. The throttle moves well the stick is very responsive. I bought it through Amazon at a great price and would recommend this stick to anybody.
