I was a little curious if this was going to be a "cheap plastic" joystick, but in fact it is a GREAT joystick!!! The rudder controls ...PLURAL... are GREAT! If your into flight sims, like I am (FSX Combat Flight sim...) YOU WILL LOVE IT!BUY IT! lol you WONT regret it if this is what your looking for!Its NOT cheap plastic and NOT flimsy! This is a good joy stick. It feel good on your hands. but for some games like Il2 Stermovick, the thrust analog stick doesn't work on it. But is the old game but fro some of the new ones it works great.

I purchased this flight stick about a year ago, looking for the option of the separate throttle control. At first I was quite excited and it worked quite well.After about 6 months of light use (long smooth movements flying trainers and jumbo jets maybe 1 to 2 hrs a day), problems started to appear. When pulling the stick back, it would go about 3/4 of the way, then hit a dead zone, only effectively alowing for 1/4 of the full movement.I contacted Thrustmaster to attempt to rectify the situation, and all they could say was that thier product was superior and in no way could be failing. I asked if I could just return it, and the representitives all said I had to run a multitude of tests just to prove it was broken. One representitive actually began cursing me out over the phone.I do not recommend this product to anyone. I would recommend staying away from Thrustmaster in general. Go to Saitek or Logitec. This product isn't worth the trouble for the fact of essential parts failing and the terrible customer service from Thrustmaster. Will most likely be returning to Amazon.

I got this in Early to Mid September 2011 and Going into this purchase I was unsure of the quality it would posses at only 33 dollars. But I am indeed impressed. I am a beginner to Microsoft Flight Simulator, Lock-on and Free Falcon 5. I also play Hawx from time to time, but I spend more time with simulators.A couple points- This Stick(& Throttle) is probably best for "Games" rather the "Simulators", but is definitely serviceable for Beginner Simulator users who wont be able to tell the difference between a this and a better stick. With Simulators it _seems_ to be noticeably difficult to move the plane with great precision, but that may just be that I an not used to flying and an Inexperienced pilot.who knows? But I would look at arielCo's review, as he will expands upon this point! I guess you you get what you pay for, Although it is in no way awful or mediocre.-Its probably the most inexpensive Stick-and-Throttle "set" on the market-The Throttle is a little flimsy so be careful not to be too rough!-The throttle clicks and gets slightly stuck at 50% thrust (on purpose) to help the pilot, I find it annoying but not a deal-breaker.-The Stick is more sturdy and has an excellent feel, with adjustable resistance. But it too should be handled carefully due to its plastic construction.-I haven't had an problems with it. Very good but not Amazing,and very reasonably solid, full of useful features like buttons and a hat-switch, Etc.....-I would buy it if you play Flight Games or If you are just getting into Simulators and don't want to get an expensive set.-Solid Product!Glad I could Help,Nick in Virginia, USA

I purchased the Thrustmaster T-flight Hotas X flight stick on Amazon in November of 2011. The twist axis quit working in April 2012. I emailed Thrustmaster customer support and they emailed back saying that it might be a mechanical problem. They had me try it on other computers. It didn't work on any of them. Anyway, They had a new one shipped out to me that day. I love this kind of customer support. (It reminds me of the old days),I'm 63.This product worked flawlessly untill the problem with the twist axis. This is likely the best joystick I ever owned and I have owned almost all the others including those from 'ms'.This is an Excellent product with Excellent support behind it. They 'Thrustmaster' have made a loyal customer of me anyway. Just buy one of these, you won't be sorry.There are better sticks.... but the price tag on them can cause a heartattack. This is the best product out there at a good fair price, and it is quallity all the way.

I've had this controller for about a month now and it is very satisfying and easy to use. I especially appreciate the "weight" of the controller. I've used a Saiteck CyborgX. It was too light and evidently it's electronics were not the best. Well, you get what you pay for!The throttle and joystick fit my hands quite well. The control of the aircraft is superb. I highly recommend this device!

The experience of playing with this device has been very complete. I've play IL2 Sturmovik with my friends by network,and it works very well. The several commands allows you to have the airplane on total control (mobile surfaces, weapons, etc), and providing a great experience. This flight controller has everything you need except force feedback. I like that it has a rudder controller as well as a joystick. The joystick can be used for rudder movement, if you want to fly like that, but this cheating method can be disabled from the joystick and be controlled using the rudder stick.If you don't want to pay four or five times as much and get a force feedback set-up with a foot controlled rudder, this controller is your best buy.It arrived quickly, was well packaged, and it is basicaly plug and play with win7. No difficulties setting it up.

This a well made joystick. The plastic is thick and sturdy, and all the controls and buttons feel crisp and solid. There's even a tension control on the bottom so you can set how stiff or loose you want the stick to be. The overall ergonomics are very comfortable, and all the buttons and levers are perfectly placed where your thumbs and fingers can easily reach them; however, it is designed exclusively for right-handed people, so keep that in mind if you're a lefty. The only thing I don't like is that the throttle has a detent at the 50% point, and there's a small bump when moving past it. It's a minor annoyance, but not a deal breaker.I used the joystick in Windows 7 64-bit with Flight Simulator X, and setting it up was as simple as plugging it into the USB port. Windows automatically detected the stick and found the appropriate driver, and I was done. Since the stick comes pre-configured for Flight Simulator X, I was able to boot up the game and start flying immediately. The stick moves smoothly and feels great for flying, and I really like having the rudder assigned to the rocker switch on the throttle. This is much better than trying to twist the stick for rudder which I've always found a bit awkward. I also tried the stick in Linux using Kubuntu 11.04 64-bit, and like Windows, the stick was auto-detected and ready to go without me having to do anything more than plug it in. I took it for a brief test flight using FlightGear which, as of version 2.4, supports the T-Flight HOTAS "out of the box".While the stick can be programmed, I haven't actually used that feature because the controls are just right as they are, although the option is there if you want it. The joystick has built-in memory, so your settings are saved even when you unplug the stick from its power source.This is an excellent joystick that I highly recommend.

This flight system is an excellent choice if you are looking for something above average, but affordable and not overly realistic. I use mine with my computer and it has proven to be a wonderful system for use with both "Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X" and "Star Wars Battlefront 2". I have yet to use it with any other games, but I'm sure it will prove to be compatible with anything due to the fact that the system can be remapped (although this could prove to be a rather complicated task).Some of my favorite things that this product features are:1.The versatility. This flight system provides a various amount of buttons and controls all comfortably placed and able to perform various tasks that any gamer may desire. For example the tilt button on the throttle control offers an alternative way to adjust the yaw on the aircraft as opposed to twisting the joystick. Also the throttle control and the joystick can be separated to be placed wherever one might wish to place it. However if you are like me and want them secured together the system comes with cable management and they are secured together with bottom screws that can be tightened with the built in wrench. Another feature this thing sports is the ability to adjust the resistance on the joystick to help create a more realistic feel.2.The quality. This thing is well built. The plastic is high quality and the joystick is secured with a metal ring. None of the buttons are loose or broken and the system works well.3.The overall feel of the flight system. The combination of the throttle handle and joystick greatly enhances the gaming experience. The buttons are all well placed for easy and comfortable access.I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced flight system and a great gaming experience.
