For those using it for BF3 it takes a bit of time to set the keybindings up cause they don't auto set all of them, but it works great after its set up. I don't have complaints atm.

Between the X 52 and this flight stick I would give the advantage to the X 52, but the thrust master is easier to transport and the stick is more comfortable than the X 52. The cable between the flight stick and the throttle needs to be a little longer is barely enough to go on either side of an 18 inch laptop or keyboard I use the thrust master with my laptop, I use the X 52 with my desktop.

The Hotas X is a very good product for it's price. Other high end throttle and stick sets feel more solid and less plastic but this is cosmetic. I have had no problems with it. I would prefer a few more buttons but there are a reasonable amount. The one major downside is the documentation. The key mapping functionallity needs to be better describedAll in all I would recommend this set-up to the beginner or a gamer on a budget. I'm fully satisfied with the product.

Works great with my PS3 and I would recommend it over and over! The hook up was easy but, I would suggest in buying an USB extension cable I think the cord it comes with is about 8 feet but don't quote me on it. Buy it and enjoy! Another smooth transaction from Amazon!

Well made and easily connected to computer via USB port. This flightstick set is compatible with Microsoft FlightSim X out of the box. No setup was required and as soon as the software was loaded all controls and functions were programmed into the controls.

This is the first Stick I've used in years. I bought this one to play MechWarrior Online and Hawken. Feels great, perfect size for my hands. I like how the throttle and stick can be seperated but i play with them connected. The stick moves well and feels good, i have had no issues to note yet. One thing i did have to do though for Mechwarrior was figure out how to fix the throttle inputs, but thankfully i found out how to do that on the games forum.No complaints at all, so far i've had a lot of fun with this stick.

My son prefers using this with the lever and joystick separated and this option is worth the extra money paid. Together, the two are awkwardly close.

This is one of the cheapest joysticks with a full size throttle that you can buy, but I use the word cheap in the best way possible. It is customizable on the fly (in game) with simple button presses and is capable of switching between custom mapping and regular mapping with one button press. The finger pedals (used as rudder pedals) are brilliant, allowing for precise control, and if you dislike the finger pedals you can simply go back to using the joystick twist as a rudder (pick whatever suits you). Button placement is convenient and easy to reach. The stick and throttle are ergonomically comfortable (I have large hands). The joystick can be split down the middle so you can place your throttle where you want it on your physical desktop. My favorite setup (for games like Battlefield 3 / ARMA 2 / etc.) is to have the throttle on the left, the keyboard in the middle, and the joystick on the right, with the mouse right next to that. Its very convenient for games that require you to quickly switch from flying controls (joystick/throttle) to infantry or ground vehicle controls (keyboard/mouse). Ejecting from a disabled helo or jet and then going on foot to capture an objective is seamless and easy. I used to have to grab my joystick and shove the keyboard to the side to start flying, and then throw the joystick away and bring the keyboard back to do this. If you're in large multiplayer games, you know the seconds you spend shuffling your controls around will end up handicapping you as a player.This joystick is easily the best deal around, I bought one for myself almost two years ago and has worked great ever since. I liked it so much I bought a second one for a friend of mine. He loves his too.As an added bonus, it also works for PS3!

Works great on PC, bought it for Xbox though because it says it's compatible with game consoles, that only actually applies to play station. So the product is great, but should advertise what consoles apply specifically, as I would have bought a different one had I known that information.

This joystick is AWESOME. It takes so time to getting used to because the dead zone is a little big, but once you get used to that. It makes games like Wing Commander, Flight Simulator or anything uses a joystick a joy! The Joystick itself and the throttle can be separated which is cool so you can keep your keyboard in the middle and the throttle on the left and joystick on the right. I reccomend using XPADDER to configure buttns for older games.

This is probably the best flight stick for PC and ps3 available anywhere. There is almost no dead zone, idk why people are complaining. Works well on windows 8, and is the best for bf3 on ps3. Stop looking and buy this system now!

It is a great Joystick!!! Perfect with FSX, it might be better if it has ForceFeedback, but in the end it doesn't matter.

I have had this joystick for a year now and I can honestly say I love it and am not even a little disappointed with it.I can position the stick and throttle where I need, and the weight and base width is enough to not flip the thing trying to maneuver like on my old joysticks.I've also successfully remapped the axis and buttons for custom use in Artemis: Bridge Simulator. It adds a great feel to our main Helm position.

I have been using this controller for one year now and no complaints. You can use this controller for the PC and the PS3 what a great bonus. The quality of the controller are excellent solid build construction( no cheap stuff here). It fit very well in my palm. The controller is detachable so you can separate each controller.

The quality and feel of this product is top notch. The stick and base is heavy and reactive along with the throttle. However I bought this for Planetside 2 and I actually liked the mouse and keyboard combination better. If you like joysticks thought this is a great purchase.

The trustmaster joystick and throttle serves the best of both worlds. Its a cheap option for those wanting a joystick but has several buttons and features which can control a lot of airplane commands.

My wife let me pick this out as a budget toy. I have plenty of toys and don't need to buy the best right out of the gate every time, Well as luck would have it I think this is one of the best flight sticks I have ever used.I will say that for a bigger person, 6 foot 4, my hands do fit quite well considering the layout works well for much smaller hands.

I have to be honest, I was a little leery of this product since it was considerably cheaper than any of the competition. But for $35 it has been EXCELLENT. I have mostly used it for playing X3: Terran Conflict, and it makes that game so much more immersive. I've also tried my hand at Flight Simulator X and it's a huge improvement over my 1999 Gravis joystick that I was still using. Plenty of buttons, great sensitivity, enough axis choices to assign pitch/roll/yaw however you like.My only complaint is on the throttle there is a detent at 50%. While in Flight Sim this may be useful to hold the throttle at 50%, a smooth transition would suit my needs much better, especially in X3.

Let me start off by saying 2 things that I feel are relevant to this review. First, I am not a 'serious' flight simmer, but I have been playing flight sims for about 10 years. To me, the main things that separate me from the REAL serious simmers are time, and more importantly.. money. Second, I have been looking to replace my old MS Force Feedback 2 joystick, which I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, MS in their infinite (sarcasm intended) wisdom, do not, and will not update drivers for Windows Vista and/or Windows 7. I am currently using the TM on my Windows 7 64bit machine. One other note, this is NOT a force feedback stick.After reading up on the latest joysticks, there were 2 features that were must haves for me. Stability (1 on 1 battles are hard when the joystick is sliding all over the desk), and programmability. Hence I settled on the T-Flight Hotas, and I have no regrets.Pro's:1. As mentioned by others, the throttle and stick can be separated (allen wrench included). Great feature!2. Twelve programmable buttons (I haven't attempted more, but read below for more info).3. Huge footprint. I keep the throttle stick together.. so there has been NO movement.4. Great price.. well worth it.5. While I do not own PS3, it is compatible with both PC and PS3.6. Works out of the box, truly plug and play.7. Has pre-programmed button layout, or you can manually put in your own button layout.8. Underside has a knob that allows for tension changes in the way the stick handles/responds (have you ever had a joystick that feels like you are using a rope to control your flight?).Con's:1. Does not have any TM programming software, and I don't think it ever will. While this is a definite downside, its not a deal breaker (see below).2. I have contemplated separating the throttle and stick, but the cable is "THAT MUCH" too short from where I would be comfortable with it. Maybe a 6 inch longer cable.. but no big deal.Other:Because some of the flight sims out there do not have keymapping built in, and the joystick does not come with keymapping software, I went searching for alternative ways to program the buttons. I was able to find (2) different programs that allow keymapping. The 1st is called XPADDER, and retails for $9.99 US. I have never tried it, but would if I felt the need. The 2nd program I found (and use) is called JoyToKey, and this is freeware. It allows up to 16 joystick configurations, and each one has a multitude of programming options.

I have enjoyed this flight stick for the most part. Sure, it's a bargain priced version of some of the higher end models, but my biggest complain is the sensitivity. It is very stiff and times and can get 'stuck' in certain positions at times when you don't' want it to!Overall, I recommend this to anyone in the market for a well priced flight stick that does more than the basic $25 versions. But if you want more realistic and higher quality go for Saitek.
