This flight sticks is ideal for a Flight Simulator user like myself. As an alternative to a $500 set of yoke, rudder pedals etc., it is a full package needed to enjoy Flight Simulator for less than $50. I recommended this flight stick to all my friends and not even one of them complained about the quality of this product.

I read the reviews on several different sticks and actually ordered this one along with another similar rated joystick. I returned the other one unopened as this stick clearly surpassed all of my expectations. The Thrustmaster was bought for my six year old grandson's PS3 and he adapted to it easily. I found myself drawn into playing the games also simply because it was so much easier for me using this stick than the controllers. I found the thrustmaster works best when the joystick and thrusters are separated. I would love to get another playseat (already have one set up for driving) to go with this. Trust me, if you are looking for a flight stick, you will be extrememly pleased with this one. Well made, sturdy and setup is a breeze.

I used this for Flight Simulator, it great product the only problem is the cord does not fit and will hang out under the controller. It's still worth the buy but the cord is the only problem.

Using this gamestick with Microsoft FSX. Worked right out of the box. Tension on stick is adjustable which permits tailoring to personal taste. As with most sticks, buttons are assignable within FSX. With the full size throttle control, well-positioned buttons, and smooth stick response, the gaming experience is excellent. Highly recommend this stick, especially for the relative cost.

Pros:-Feel is very similar to flying a real plane-Tons of customizable buttons-Solid quality and construction-Very precise which is neccesary for some of those tricky landings in FSXCons:-Must keep throttle on left side and stick on right. This limits the realistic part of flying different planes where your throttle may be on your right and you hold the stick with your left hand.

Buy this! A *great* budget joystick.PROSThis is a nice HOTAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick) joystick. I Use it exclusively with IL-2 Sturmovik, a WW2 combat flight simulator set on, thankfully, the Eastern Front. Quite simply, its perfect for what I need to fly. Playing for long periods, my hands take a good while time to feel clammy or sweaty, so I can fly with my hands on both throttle and stick without constant wiping or discomfort. When both stick and throttle bases are connected, the joystick is sturdy, and heavy -- a big plus as there is little chance of sliding or moving as your hands moveWorks great with TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance too!CONSThe joystick, even at the tightest setting, is slightly loose. I can move the stick up to a 1/4 inch before the jet responds. Not a biggie to me, but for some this could be a con. The throttle is the same way. Still, after 10 minutes you are use to this and it becomes a non issue.I had original bought this for Battlefield 2 and BF 2: Special Forces, but as I found out EA apparently feels that this joystick is beneath them and does not support it.

I am not sure why the negative reviews on the Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X. As indicated in the Amazon's product description, the controls/buttons automatically map to Microsoft Simulator X, HAWX, and a few other titles. If the Thrustmaster X does not map, changes can be made in the game's settings...to map. I am currently using the Thrustmaster X with Microsoft's X Simulator demo on an Alienware m11x (yep 11 inch screen) without any issues. Windows 7 (64bit) found the drivers for the Thrustmaster X as soon it was plugged into the usb port. A soon as Microsoft's X Simulator started up, the controller was recognized. Every single control is on point, including view angels. Also, I have not noticed any issues with delays between the controls and actual flight. The low cost from Amazon, and having a flight joystick that be can separated (throttle from control) is just an awesome deal. I almost settle for the flight joystick with the little throttle level. Glad I looked around...and found this deal!

I have several WWII air combat sims and use the Thrustmaster for all but European Air War (which just doesn't work at all with NVidia, though it's my favorite one). It works very well with Wings of Prey, etc. Very good joystick system. I highly recommend it.

Lots could be done to make this better, but not for the price. Well worth 3x more. If using for PS3, be sure to turn off all other controllers. Instructions are non-existent, but plug and play does work if you kill the other controllers.

I purchased this with XPlane and it is a wonderful flight controller. I can't compare it with anything else - it is the only one I have used, but it helps create the illusion of really flying - sweaty palms and all. If you want to fly through virtual space this is a very cool controller. It has more buttons and switches and potential control thingys than a simple country boy could ever figure out - but the basic controls are simple, easy to set up, and fun. Well worth the investment.

This controller is hyped as the ultimate in flight controllers at this price point. Rubbish! It is very difficult to set up, lacks a lot of standard buttons, and is very sensitive to use, much more sensitive than real world controls. I have a PPL license and fly small Cessnas. This controller makes it way more difficult to fly an airplane than it actually is. This was a bad deal on Amazon especially because I had to pay $8.50 to have it shipped from TheFactoryDepot and now I have to pay to ship it back and they are talking about a restocking fee. I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon but will make sure not to buy through another seller again. This controller is definetly not worth $50. My 8 year old Microsoft sidewinder does a better job.

This flight stick is incredible. Everything works great. Only problem i have seen is that it is very touchy. Barely move the stick and you are all over the place. The resistance adjustment knob dosnt seem to do much either. Once you get use to the high sensitivity of this stick, it is a very good stick.

The Thrustmaster T-Flight joy stick was a great addition to my flight games, making them much more fun and realistic. This is a well made product, priced right, just plug and play. Of course it is NOT wireless but that has not presented any problems with a lengthy connecting cable. The only problem I can find is some games have options of sending commands using the directional buttons found on conventional controllers, which are not included on the Thrustmaster. All other buttons ARE on the joy stick and well located. I wouldn't play aviation, flight combat games without this stick.

The Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X gives the user exacting control over every type of aircraft. I used to be a real pilot but because of medical problems I can never fly again because the pressure changes of altitude will kill me. The Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X, attached to my newest computer with an Athlon II X2 235e 2.7GHz Processor and 6GB Ram has given me back the ability to fly the aircraft I used to plus many others I always wanted to try. Coupled with the new Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Gold Edition which I purchased through Amazon.com when I bought The Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X allows me to get back in the air with such reality that sometimes I forget I am sitting at a computer in my office.Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X comes separated, the Throttle Assembly and rudder and flap controls on the left and the Joystick with fire control (if flying games for combat) the trigger acts as the main brakes for civilian aircraft. The Hat and 4 control buttons are on the joystick and thus The Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X can be setup on both sides just like in the various versions of modern fighter aircraft.If you are looking for real flight control, The Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X is what you are looking for.

I'll keep this short; this is a great joystick for the money. It's larger than the pictures make it look (14" wide), has very smooth action with adjustable joystick resistance (the joystick also twists left/right for your rudder action), and has every button you'd need. The only drawback is when you have the joystick in two pieces (the unit splits in two, joystick on one side, throttle on the other) it's not as stable as could be. I prefer it together for stability, a little less realistic but much more stable.For the price you simply can't go wrong with this joystick!!

I was lucky enough to find this joystick for $69 for two of them and had them delivered. The throttle quadrant wire that other reviews mention is hard wired and is about 2.5 feet long. Ample for a good setup. The controls are smooth and a real bargain. Also, twisting the stick gives you rudder control on FSX as well as having a right left button on the throttle quadrant that can also be used in this manner.I rate this very well. I highly suggest it. Lots of quality control at a real value.

This joystick just rocks... and rocks... and rocks... Ideal for Hawx, Hawx 2 and Apache Assault. I have to admit I had douts about buying this product, but after receiving it and using it with HAWX 1&2 I must say it takes on a whole new demition putting you right in the cockpit. I recomend this flight stick for anyone wanting to get to the real action of flight in a game.

Do not have time for full review. Bought this for Apache PS3 game. Works great. I recommend that you get an extension USB cord with repeater as to not lose signal. Very solid build, better build than expected. Heavy. Nice responsive controls. Easy to set up on PS3. I love it.

Must say I am very pleased with this joystick(flightstick)!I bought it so I can play Apache:air assault heli game on my PS3.At first I was'nt sure it was going to work, but am glad to say it works great with the ps3 and that game, right off the bat. I hear it also works great with IL2 birds of prey for the PS3.
