It works as a headset OK if you aren't looking for quality or comfort.The plastic headband is very uncomfortable and not very adjustable, and the sound from the mic is very harsh compared to most other mics.On the plus side it didn't pop as much as other headsets I've tried. And the sound is OK from the earphones - I just can't wear it for long without it feeling like my head is in a vice.The cheap plastic headband may be able to be bent into a wider shape, but it seems like it will break.It does have a long cord.

Pros:The ear cups are very big and fits around your entire ear, extremely comfortable.The sound is alright, the bass could be a bit better in my opinion. - No hissing.They fit tightly, they wont fall off if you look down or by any movement really.Cons:No surround sound.Cord could be longer and its rubbery for some reason. Dont know if thats a bad thing.The controls on the cord are limited; volume up and down with a logo showing how full it is (hard to explain) and on/off switch for mic.When you plug it in, it doesn't even register as its own thing, it pretty much takes the place of speakers which isn't that bad but its kind of annoying... just because its not recognized as "something else."Not a real gaming headset in my opinion.. just because you have a mic on headphones doesn't mean its "gaming."Not worth the price.Misc: I was in a bit of a hurry to get a gaming headset and didn't realize these are neither 5.1 surround nor 7.1 surround, theyre basic stereo.. which in my opinion isn't true "gaming" at all. I did some quick researching after I got these and found for the same price (150$) I could get a large variety of 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound true gaming headsets. In particular, I will be returning these and purchasing "Razer Megalodon 7.1 Surround Sound USB Gaming Headset" instead. As I have mentioned several times already, I cannot stand gaming without surround sound.. they really need to remove the gaming and put stereo instead.

For its price point (One can easily pay anywhere from 4-6X's the price for top of the line Sennheiser's) you cannot beat this headset. It is a comfortable fit and lightweight, even after 4-6 hours at a time of wearing them I have never felt any fatigue. The sound is rich and if you are not someone who has dealt with High End Headsets you will find you will hear things in your tunes you have never heard before. The MIC is clean and clear and anyone I have talked with on this headset state the MIC delivers a great voice quality. I also use this with Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 and the desired accuracy is great. As I said "for its price point" you will be hard pressed to find anything as comfortable, with as rich quality sound and a good mike for talking to others or dictating.

I have to say that I'm very impressed with the durability of this headset considering its price. I ordered mine from Amazon in April 2006 and I still use them on a daily basis. The only thing that wore out is the foam pads after about 3 years of use, but that's no big deal because you can order some replacement pads on eBay for $4.If you use this headset for music on your computer, the sound quality is very good assuming you have a high-quality sound card. As you can expect from a small driver and open headphones, the bass lacks the punch you would expect from bigger headphones.As for the microphone, I use this mostly for Skype and Yahoo and everyone says they can listen to me just fine, no muffled sound as you would expect from cheap mics. The noise-cancelling seems to be doing its job because they don't hear any echo.The 3-meter cable is great, you can literally walk around your desk without pulling your head back. Plus the volume/mute switch is always within reach.Honestly, this is the first time I have a headset that last me more than 2 years. This April will be my 6th year with this one, and other than the foam pads, it seems like they're going to last a few more years.I highly recommend this headset for occasional VOIP or compressed music (MP3, WMA, etc) use on your computer. If you want better quality for uncompressed music (CD, DVD, BluRay) or for recording speech, then this is NOT the headset for you.

I'm on Skype for what seems like hours a day making sales calls and doing interviews (2 hours+ today so far, for instance.) I needed a headset that was going to be comfortable wearing for hours on end without me being distracted by my ears feeling pinched.I also own a PC 350 by Sennheiser, which is the step down from this. I bought the PC 360 when I got an office and needed one headset for home and one for the office.This is WAY better than the PC 350, mainly because it's so much more comfortable. I watched the Skype call timer tick over 1 hour and 30 minutes on a single call today and I wasn't in pain at all.This is well worth the money if you do anything that requires you to spend hours on a headset. It's not just for gamers, but for those of us who *need* a solid headset for business. I've found myself using SkypeOut for outgoing calls more often, as this is now much more comfortable to talk on than my cell phone, too. 5 stars.

The ear pieces uncomfortably rub against the outer ear. The remote control is pointless and all together it feels very poorly made.

This is a comfortable, sturdy headset. However, I'm left-handed, and I wish there was a way (without some clunky Windows software re-configuration) to switch the Left and Right headphone sounds, since I prefer to have my microphone arm on the right side of my face.By default, you only have the option of wearing the microphone on your left side, since it is attached to the default left-side earphone.

very comfortable and sound great. only thing to keep in mind when buying is the ear cups are vinyl and will be difficult to wear for long periods of time in worm weather.

Been using this for gaming and its very easy to wear for extended periods of time, has good sound quality and the mic seems to be very clear. Not an audiophile so I can't recommend this over other pricey headphones but this is a great set and well worth the money.

These were a gift and I constantly hear how great they are.I have an 7 year old pair of sennheiser gaming headphones that still are fantastic.Sennheiser is a reputable company and stand by their products.

I am going to keep this review short and sweet.The sound is fantastic, almost perfect. Unfortunately, the mic will not last you 30 days. I have been through four of them and they keep failing. Sennheiser refuses to give me a refund, so I am in a perpetual cycle of mic failures. It's really sad that this product has such a critical flaw.

Hi, I'm actually the user's son (the one who got the headset) writing this review.These are AMAZING. They are great. Awesome. Crazy win. I love 'em.Wonderful audio quality, great bass, good range, and a wonderful fit.I can listen to music and game for HOURS with these on and they sit well the whole time.The in-line mic mute and volume control is great for gaming as you can adjust your sound level as-needed without interrupting play.Also, despite not being actively noise-cancelling they help block out random distractions such as:> . . loud computer turbines> . . washing machines> . . fans> . . the TV> . . siblings :)(Just kidding, I love my little brother.)These headphones get a 5 out of 5 in my book.

These headphones sound great and preform as expected.The only reason they stopped working was a ruined the cord in a fit of rage. Not at the headphones, but at World of Warcraft.

Used for six months, microphone quit in a couple months, right side of headphones quit recently.Headphones should last longer than that! A disgrace to the Sennheiser name.Volume control was nice while they worked and they had a rather compressed but standard sound. Good for watching movies, not quite up to standard for studio audio work.

Very impressed with the headphones. Got these for my 16 year old son as he's into computer games. I snuck them out of his room to try them out on my laptop, and listen to some tunes. The sound quality is insane!
