These are a great pair of headsets. With it being collapsable I can take it around and not worry about breaking it. I wish the microphone was more like the SteelSeries set but still noise reduction wise I had my TV on decently loud and still could not hear it through these headphones when I had music going on. They are definitely worth the money.

This heavy-duty was designed with gamers in mind, but we all enjoy the first-class technology such as 7.1 Surround Sound which comes from seven different directions by Dolby headphone. Installation is a snap, because the PC 323D comes with 3D G4ME1 7.1 USB sound card attached, eliminating the need of an internal sound card. The open-acoustic design of the PC 323D and its rotating ear pads provides a comfortable fit, allowing wear for hours on end. The noise-cancelling microphone reduces stray noise for very clear communications. Internet telephony is a pleasure when wearing the PC 323D. This headset has fully satisfied my expectations and I expect to use it for years to come.

Pros:Lightweight.Aesthetically pleasing.Comfortable, well-designed earcups. Finally, a headset with earcups that can accommodate my flappy elephant ears.Great SQ for a headset. Clearest bass on any headset I've ever owned.Good mic quality.Folds up, although the mic sticks out because (see below) it's not flexible.Cord is a good thickness, and the in-line controls are discreet and weightless.Cons:A little bit tight on my average size male head. If it was any tighter I'd say it was too tight. It's OK for me but might be a problem for people with huge heads.Mic is fixed, not flexible other than 90-degree rotation. I prefer a flexible boom mic.Other thoughts:Make sure to pair this with a nice sound card.Closed cups + no built-in mic monitoring = you can't hear yourself talk. I tried Windows mic monitoring but it echoed badly. If you want to hear yourself talk, purchase a headset either with built-in monitoring or an open design.Do yourself a favor and pick up the HH10 headphone holder too. The thing is brilliant. Free up that desk space.

What an incredible headset! The packaging isn't all that special, but the headset itself is fantastic!SOUND: Unbelievable, and are great for music as well as gaming. What a great all around headphones/headset. I do not use a separate headphone amp, but these still sound amazing with plenty of bass to me. While the PC350's are 150ohm and definitely need a headphone amp to get all the sound out of them, the PC360's are only 50ohm and still sound great without a separate amp. (While it may still sound better with one, I don't have one to compare it with, but they still sound great without one).These also sound great at higher volumes. While I didn't care to check how loud they can go or anything like that, I did turn them up when doing some critical listening tests with music, and they just don't distort; not in the base, not in the vocals. Fabulous. Really immersive and clear.SOUND ISOLATION: Even though this is an OPEN AIR headset design, I was surprised at how little outside sound was affected/muffled/muted when wearing these -- which is exactly what I wanted in my case (to hear outside sounds when I turned the headset volume down without having to take them off). My other open air headset definitely mutes more sound than these. The PC360's mutes so little outside sound that it is almost to the point of being hard to tell they are even on. While this open air design does allow some sound to then also escape out into the room, it's still not very much even with the headset turned up.MIC: The auto-mute just by moving the mic boom is great. Very smooth action and feels and works better than I thought it would.VOLUME CONTROL: The volume knob is built-in to the right earcup and works well. Smooth rotating action. Just be aware that it doesn't allow for completely muting the sound though which I wish it would. It does mute it quite a bit (half?), but nowhere near muting it entirely. While it's still great for adjusting volume and I'm very glad it has it, I still wish I could be able to mute it even further/completely.QUALITY: These appear to be a quality, well-made product. Excellent ear pads, smooth action on all parts that need to move (headband adjuster, volume control, and mic boom), and a well insulated non-coiling chord. While some may prefer a coiling chord, I like the PC360's straight chord.SUMMARY: A little pricey, but great great sound that should last a long time and would buy them again.

I do quite a bit of gaming but also listen to a lot of music and found these headphones to not only be comfortable for long periods of time but sound fantastic!I would highly suggest upgrading to a good soundcard if you don't have one. I purchased the Creative Labs SB1040 PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Sound Card after being really disappointed with my built in card. This rectified the power/bass problem and since these headphones are not USB you don't get any software to help balance sound or give any kind of 3D surround at all.All in all a great balance between gaming and music listening for those who want the best of both worlds - as long as you have a decent soundcard.

It's kindof expected that headphones will only work so long, and these do not dissappoint on that front... it worked as expected for 2 months then broke... I actually still use it 4 years later as a pair of headphones, as only the microphone broke, not the headphones :) for headphones to last 4 years is pretty impressive, but the broken mic = bad news.

I got advice from an electronics expert in my family on what headset to purchase for Dragon Dictation. He said you need a good microphone for speech recognition or it will not work very well and he said Sennheiser makes some of the best headsets. I purchased this one based upon his advice and I could not be more pleased. Dragon was able to understand me quite well and the microphone is excellant. Thanks so much for making a quality product for a great price. The higher priced ones are no doubt even better but this one does more than suffice and I am quite pleased with the quality and price!

I needed a new headset for Skype and for listening to streaming music while working. The reviews were positive and I went for it. Works perfect for what I wanted. Comfortable, excellent sound quality. Glad I got them. Satisfied customer.

I only use this headset for Skype, and use it in conjunction with the Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter. It works great for that purpose: decent construction, good sound quality on the ear phones, good sound quality on the microphone. Having looked at some other headsets, this seemed to be far and away the best price/performance. Now that I've used it for awhile I can highly recommend it for computer telephony (e.g., Skype).

I received this Sennheiser USB headset in the mail today after being INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED in the Creative Labs HS-980 Fatal1ty Professional Series MKII Gaming Headset (Black). I use Skype to chat often, so a good microphone is very important to me. The mic is impeccable. While it does pick up some background noise (faint sounds of typing mostly), your voice will sound clear and concise. The headphones produce an excellent sound, however they are not overly comfortable. It is made of all plastic, and they are definitely something you will have to handle with great care. It has the build quality of a 20 dollar Logitech headset, but with the sound and voice quality that exceeds how much you will pay. I wear glasses, and I can say after I adjusted the headset appropriately it did not hurt to wear. The USB lights up blue when it's snuggly in place. I wish the cord was thicker, as I fear that it might be an issue with time. I would recommend this headset to anyone who wants great mic quality, and who takes great care of their property. This is not going to take a beating.

Great sound and features for less then 4 months on this one.It replaced a the first one I bought that lasted almost 6 months.I will see how the RMA process goes.Both of these lost outgoing sound in less then 6 months.

In 2010 I picked up a pair of these for gaming on my PC. The sound quality and capture of my voice has been fine but just recently the plastic post that the left ear cup swivels on broke, rendering them unwearable.I am contacting Sennheiser to see if I can get a replacement for the post but unlike my HD600s (still in great shape) they don't have replacement parts listed on their site. I don't expect any product to last a lifetime but I do expect them to last more than a couple years with careful use. Just posting this as a heads up to set your expectations accordingly. Good sound quality but not as durable as I would expect for the price.Update 02/21/2012: I just heard back from Sennheiser support. These came with a 2 year manufacture warranty so I can send them in for repair. Upped my starred score to 4. Outstanding response time and customer service. This was a bummer but they are taking care of it and that is what matters most. Purchase with confidence.

I just got these headphones and i dunno what to say. Very comfortable and really good sound. From the pictures these headphones might not look like a high end headphone but its better than all the headphones at the price its going for. I have been wearing this headset for 4 hours and does not hurt my head or ears. I was amazed how crisp and clear the sound was and it has bass as well. The mic is great, noise cancellation and also clear. I use to have a Plantronics Gamecom 1 and i loved it but it failed on me after a good 3 years use. After that i tried using the Plantronics 367 Closed ear headphones and those were horrible on the head. Felt like a clamp squeezing the hell out of your head, i hated them, so i decided to return them and go with Sennheiser since they are known for sound quality. And I might stay with Sennheiser.4 days later....mic failed. i do not know why. It was good while it lasted..Going with the razer charcarias gonna see if that is the headset for me.

Bought the USB version of PC151 years ago (one with the built in soundcard + USB/Mic adapter), and still using it for hours a day. It's the same headset except for the USB soundcard and USB-2-Mic jacks. This is a review without the USB features.Before buying this I used the various headsets available locally, which primarily were Logitech/Sony/Koss and wasn't impressed with the quality of construction and comfort. Let's face it, if you're going to wear a headset for hours a day it needs to not break in a year; fit well; doesn't hurt the ears; has superior sound; and the mic doesn't broadcast every tinny background sound (imagine the clicky-clack of talking in a room without wall-to-wall carpet).I wear a hat size of around 7 1/4 (about 22/23 inches) and this headset fits like a glove (those with full lobed ears this is a v-e-r-y good fit for you). Just tight enough to not fall off the head, but also doesn't squeeze the ears so hard to be painful. The headband is industrial quality with foam pad underneath that helps to keep it from sliding around (you can wear your favorite baseball cap under it). Mic holds it's position, and the black rubber part of the boom is adjustable, but find it fits so well adjustments aren't necessary. The mic will be just at the right angle with no adjustments (enough to drink/eat while the headset is still on) and not get the "pops" while communicating. Ear cups aren't squeesy cheap foam, they're firm open air, and surprisingly cool even after hours upon hours of gaming. If you also live in a hot environment (like in front of 2x24" heat blasting LCD monitors) you'd appreciate this headset -- unlike closed can designs which will have you sweating.Because this headset is "beefy", taking it off and on is a cinch. It's a heavy headset, not one of those iPod Lite types, so if you're used to can style headphones it'll feel quite the same.This has a very l-o-n-g cord (about 8ft), and comes with a cord winder which is handy if you're sitting close to your computer. So you can walk around your room with the headset on, at least enough to stand and grab something on a shelf and not get the cord pull. Plugs are Red/Green color coded despite at the time (2007) it wasn't standard practice.Sound quality is so good, that to ensure good voice communication, I made sure to buy more for the rest of the family. It's not 5.1, but for games without 5.1/7.1 audio (like MMOs), and voice chat, this is a stellar headset. It will make talking in the kitchen or rooms without carpet sound so much better (you do love that wood flooring, right?). Sound quality in Skype/Vent/TS/Mumble is standing next to the person quality.The only 2 issues with this headset is the ear cups aren't easily removable for cleaning (can be removed, but putting them back in would take time -- which is good, as these cups won't fall off); and the cord is really thin (be careful not to pull it hard -- it has lasted me for years, but there are folks who'll are harder on their electronics).Overall, these were well worth the price. I use it for all computer communications, be it in gaming; voice chat; and voice dubbing for videos. Short of a 5.1 headset for specific games, there's no reason to upgrade. It will last you easily 5 years.

I use the Sennheiser PC 31 stereo headset for long phone calls on my land line, and on my cell phone. This headset put an end to a long stream of complaints from callers, as I tried to find a good headset. I tried at least three different Bluetooth headsets. Callers complained about poor voice quality, and I was not happy with the sound of their voices, either. I then tried a headset intended for computer voice dictation. The call quality was much higher on my end, but callers complained that my volume had a tendency to drop. It turned out that the noise cancellation feature of the dictation headset involved a microphone that was very sensitive to its placement, and which had to be right in front of my mouth.The PC 31 headset solved these problems. The sound quality is great for phone conversations, and my callers are happy with the quality and volume of the sound coming from the headset microphone. Whenever I have a call, I gladly grab the headset, and plug it into the phone.To adapt the PC 31 to the telephones, I use a Headset Buddy 01-PC35-PH35 conversion kit. This kit works with my iPhone 4. I also have a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm adapter so that I can use the PC 31 plus the 01-PC35-PH35 cable with my wireless handset on the 2.5 mm land line phone socket. And I use the PC 31 without any adapter for Skype calls through the computer.Amazon also lists a 01-PC35-PH25 Kit, which contains two cables that are a variation of my arrangement, but which achieve the same result.

I am a radiologist at an academic medical center. My department purchased these headsets for use with our voice activated dictation system. They are terrible. Recognition is much worse than on the previous version (had "quick release" pink and green plugs that inserted into the USB). The functionality is very laggy with our voice recognition product (Dragon-based). I do NOT recommend these for voice dictation under these conditions.

I've been using these for half a year now and my only concern is that they are pretty tight which makes them not very comfortable for most people. I got used to the feeling however playing more than an hour doesn't feel as comfortable. That is the only reason I give them four stars. The sound quality is superior and with these you can hear a lot more things in PC games than you normally would. Tactically proven in Arma 2.

I find these to be well suited to very well suited to VOIP/skype use, and listening to background music at work. They are comfortable to wear for long stretches, and have good sound quality - and it's obvious Sennheiser spent the money where it counts - on the headphone drivers and the noise-canceling microphone. Still, you can tell there has been some obvious cost-cutting going on in the way the headband was constructed, similar to the way that many modern car dashboards look nice but feel cheap. While the headband doesn't feel flimsy in a way that it might break after repeated use, it certianly don't have the hefty feel of a product like an iPhone, either. On the other hand, this kind of construction is one of the reasons that the headphones are so light on the head - except for the pressure holding them on, you almost forget that you are wearing them.If you equate "high touch" with quality, you might be happier with the purchase of a more expensive Sennheiser model, or perhaps a Logitech unit. If not, there's little reason not to recommend these headphones, as they do a great job for what they were designed.

Truly the best sounding headphones for not only PC gaming, but computer based calls, and software such as Rosetta Stone and Dragon. Not to mention, simply listening to music on your PC and online streaming movies.I have tested these with a PC running Windows 7 and my iMac with the latest Lion OS. Possibly a bit easier to use with a PC, but with minor adjustments, I have to say the Mac sounds better.The best part of these headphones in multiplayer gaming. The noise cancelling feature is perfect for drowning out the chip eating idiots full of gas that have not left their chair in a week. For serious team playing and communication, it's spot on. Game play is more precise with sound effects I never heard before, and hints of sound that help with protection from the enemy. You can literally hear them coming with the slightest footstep. And of course the ear cups take you away from reality, nagging and telephone interruptions.The only downside is that there is definitely a slight break-in period. They may appear small at first, but after some custom adjustments, and a few hours of use, they basically become personalized. They are very sturdy and you just need some time to get used to them.
