This is the 2nd Sennheiser PC-31 I have purchased for use for my Desktop Computers.For any headset in this price range,these are the best I have ever used.I am 66 years old and will admit that my hearing is not what it used to be,but I have a $200.00 V-MODA Headset and this Sennheiser sounds just as good,if not better.

Sennheiser PC 350 Collapsible Gaming Headset with Vol Control & Microphone Mute This was my first "pricey" headset, purchased for EVE Online gaming after days of research and looking at reviews. When I first got it, I couldn't be happier. Everything about it was great - lightweight, could wear for several hours without needing a break, microphone was perfect, decent bass response listening to music as well.After 18 months of regular use, the right side of the headset suddenly quit working. Over the next 6 months I placed call after call, sent multiple emails and voice messages, all asking "What can I do to get this fixed? Where do I send it? Will it need a Return Auth?" All I got in return was a handful of voicemails saying "sorry we missed you - try calling us again later." Since the original purchase is now 2+ years ago, they're refusing to honor the warranty despite having initially contacted them way before it was up.TL;DR Amazing gaming headset, would have initially recommended it to anyone, but it's $170 out of your pocket if it happens to break - Sennheiser customer support sucks horribly. My next one will be a Razer.EDIT 12/16/2011: Well, it seems the hangup may have been more with the agent than anything else - after contacting them again I reached and started talking with someone totally new (Alice). She was amazing, and after a few back-and-forths she did some digging, and I received a totally new(!) replacement headset yesterday.I've been using a Razer Carcharias Gaming Headset (Black) for the past several months, and although it did the job well enough, OMG it felt so good to slip these bad boys on again. The PC350 is just so much nicer (way more comfortable, far better build & sound quality), so my thoughts are... if you can stomach the cost go with the Sennheiser. And talk to Alice if you have any problems :).

I have tried a few computer microphone/headphone combo sets over the years for many applications (phone calls, games, etc). This one is my favorite so far - my last set was a USB controlled Logitech set up. Here are a few pros & cons:Pros:- A long cord gives you plenty of room to move around- Comfortable fit- Plush over the ear cups- Excellent sound quality- Adequate microphone (no complaints that I can't be heard ... no "what was that?" coming from the other end)- Stand 3.5mm mini-jack plugs makes for instant and easy recognition by your computer (USB headphones sometimes need to be enabled in your computer's control panel)Cons:- Base is in vogue, and many games are creating lots of it. These are excellent headphones so they produce that base in ear rumbling clarity. For some games, this gives me a headache after about an hour.

finally got some good headphones, these are probably the best ive ever used. although I am not an audiophile, bought these for gaming. Microphone works well, output cable is long and sturdy (thats what she said) and the sound quality is impressive.

This a great headset for playing online games. This is over the ear so don't really hear noise from the outside. The muffle sound however is not all that great for music and just ok for movies.

This is an easy review because this set of Sennheiser PC 310 G4ME headphones are outstanding. The headphones are very comfortable with padding on the top and around the ears and it is a very lightweight set making it an easy/comfortable fit. The sound quality? It's Sennheiser quality which means top quality. I've already used them in a few of my PC games and the sound quality is excellent and it filters out any noise other than the game itself so nothing outside of the game I'm involved in distrubs me. It's just me....the Sennheiser headphones with great sound quality and some great PC game.Easy to use. Comfortable. Lightweight. Appears to be durable and is made by a quality company. This is an great product that makes it that much more fun to play games on the PC in the comfort of your own world of PC gaming. Five stars for this product! Now, back to more PC gaming with this quality set of headphones.

Para los gamers, sin duda unos de los mejores audifonos que han sacado al mercado y cuidado sino el mejor, se escucha perfecto en los juegos fps como CounterStrike y no necesita tarjeta de sonido bueno yo no la necesito.. Y para la musica el bajo es increible!!

After about a month the microphone started to lose clarity. A couple of weeks after that it completely stopped working making it merely an expensive pair of headphones. They're comfortable and the sound is pretty good, but it doesn't make up for the shoddy construction.

If you own a pair of HD 555 or HD 595 and are looking for a headset with comparable comfort and sound quality, this is the product for you. Product works great with PC, Xbox 360, or even plugged into an Amp.

Granted this is the first pair of headphones that cost more than 40 bucks that I have owned, but I have found that these headphones work great for long hours gaming. The microphone is crisp and clear for TeamSpeak and the ear pads are designed perfectly to fit around the ear, rather than sit on them. The oval ear design is a must for gaming enthusiasts, and this headset is as comfortable as it gets. These headphones also seem very durable, as you would expect for a high end gaming headset. Others have complained about the sound quality not having enough bass, but I prefer less bass while gaming long hours as bass can be quite uncomfortable on the ear drums (the last pair I had were loaded with bass and lit up with the bass boom but I couldn't stand the headaches). The only real complaint I have is that the mute switch is easy to enable accidentally, but overall a great headset.

I got this headset for my 21 year old son who is a gaming freak. Needless to say, he loved it. He's a musician so he knows the difference between a good headset and a bad one and he said that this one was excellent. It has a great sound and good connections. Also, easy to use.

The headset itself is nice. However, the connecting wire and attached mich/speaker plugs are very low quality. The mich plug on my set became useless after limited usage even though I was always careful. For a few cents more, Sennheiser could have made a decent total product by adding a reasonably strong wire and connectors. Unless you really intend to baby this thing, I would suggest buying a more well-built unit.

My sister recommended this headset to me and I'm glad she did. I immediately noticed improved sound over the headset I had been using. The headset is lightweight and comfortable.

Awesome sound and top notch mic. Seems well built. The only issue is what some others have stated, the headset is tight fitting so if you have a large head might not be the headset for you.

Works just fine. Sounds just as good as my HD-414's. They are fairly comfortable to wear and the mike is adjustable (somewhat).

These are great headphones and they live up the name Sennheiser as there is no doubt they are high-end and durable. I've used them not only for gaming on the PC but for Skype as well. They're very comfortable, too. I can attest to their durability because I tend to be a klutz and have dropped these multiple times without any ill effect on them.

I purchased this headset less than a month ago. I use it to Skype for work. The sound quality was good while it lasted. It seems to no longer work. I can still hear the other people on the call, but no one can hear me.We've run tons of diagnostics and tried it on different computers but it is not functioning anymore.I'm going to try to get a refund. I'm really disappointed!

The sound quality on these headphones is absolutely terrible. On conference calls, others can barely hear my voice and it is very muffled to distraction. When I listen to music, for some reason I have to crank the sound nearly all the way up in order to hear it very well and again the sound quality is very poor. I borrowed other headphones which work just fine. I DO NOT recommend these headphones.

As a linux user, I want to say first off that the usb connection worked with Kubuntu 12.4 out of the box with no issues, no drivers needed. The only thing I had to do was move the headphones up the device priority list, so that when they're plugged in they override the system speakers.Other things to note:* The right ear has a volume dial built in that's very easy to use, and won't accidentally blow your eardrums if you spin it too fast.* Using the standing 1/8" jack, I've worn these to bed twice with it plugged into my cellphone, listening to music. They're so comfortable that You wake up confused when you feel the weight on your ears.* I wore them for 3 hours during a game session and my ears did not get the least bit overheated.To be honest the paper documentation could have been a little more verbose, but other than that I have no complaints.

It's not a bad product but definitely not a very good one either. I use it at work for occasional video calls and listening to music. The video conferencing part is fine. The voice quality on both ends is good, however I was satisfied with the voice quality of my previous $20 Logitech headset as well. However, I was willing to spend this much money on this product because I expected that I could get good music quality out of it too. Well, that's not really the case. I'm not an audiophile person so I can't explain why it sounds all flat and dull, but it definitely does.While wearing, it feels reasonably comfortable. It has basically ZERO sound insulation at the padding around my ears. That is a problem in two ways: I can hear the noises in my office while listening to music and other people can also hear whatever I'm listening to. That's annoying.

The Sennheiser PC 310 Gaming Headset is a decent value for the price. I thought the noise cancelling was fair, but my husband found it to be very good. That said, the headset fits his head (US hat size 7 3/4) much better than mine (US hat size 6 7/8), and the ear cups actually were located where they were supposed to be and the headband part fit snugly on his head. For me, the band was too large and kept slipping back, and when the cups were over my ears the band was not on my head at all.The sound quality was good and I was able to hear the movie I was watching over the TV noise with the volume at a normal level. I would use these for non-active uses, such as watching films or video chatting, but not for activities involving lots of movement, such as on the bike trainer or treadmill, simply because of the fit issues I encountered.
