The Plantronics Voyager PRO UC is a good headset. The quality is crystal clear. The people on the other end do not know I am on a headset. The battery is long lasting, where I charge it every couple days after multiple hours of use each day. The headset is comfortable for the most part, with the boom reversing to easily fit on either ear. The volume on the top makes for each adjustment. The power button in the back cannot be operated (or I do not recommend you operate it) while wearing the headset. The force required to depress the button is very uncomfortable while being worn. The power button will flash with remaining battery when depressed, and has to be held down to turn power on and off with indicator lights. There are two complaints, which are relatively minor. This is the second Voyager PRO I have owned and used, so my complaints are not big enough from keeping me from buying a second. The complaints are:1) The headset does not filter background noise very well. The person I am talking to says my voice is very clear, but other people's voices in the background can also be easily heard. This is amplified in windy conditions, though I know of no headset that can handle wind.2) The answer / hang-up button is in an odd place. To press the button, the headset is pushed into the ear. I find myself grabbing the earpiece and boon so as not to push it into my ear. The button on top or bottom of the boon would encourage the user to squeeze the boon to answer, which I would much prefer. These are my two complaints. Both are relatively minor given the positives of the headset, but they should be mentioned. Overall, I give the headset a ranking of 4 out of 5. If Plantronics changes the answer / hang-up button location, I will change my score to a 5 out of 5.(T)Hank(s)

Range is limited and starts to fade quickly if barriers such as walls come into play while holding a conversation. It is very comfortable for 8 hour usage. I use it with lync and iphone and wish it would be connected with both and switch over to the device receiving the call which some headsets I know do. When I am on the road its hard to hear the other party unless you crank it to max volume which can be disconcerting, because you leave your self open to having your ears blown out with a sudden volume change on the other end. The battery life is exactly 8 hrs and requires me to charge every day. You can use it without the dongle depending on the configuration of your computer.

Works great for online meetings using Lync, I assume it would be good for Skype and other online audio connections. I just leave it plugged in until I need it. Sound is clear and others can hear me fine.Battery life seems good. A voice says 6 hours available when I connect - I've done 3-4 with no problem.Only issue I had was with trying to get the small ear buds on. I ripped them and that was that. Probably due to my own clumsiness, but IMO could have been less fragile. Be careful doing this. The other ones that came with it were way too large for me. I just ordered a replacement online and everything is cool.Simple to set up on Windows 7 and Lync. Haven't used it with other software.

If you've made it this far, you should just stop reading and buy it!!! I upgraded from my Plantronics SaviGo and have not looked back. I've had this for about a month now and LOVE it.Pros:- Connects to my laptop (Win7) with no problem and works great with Unified Communications- Battery life is great, I can take several hour long calls without needing to recharge; and it recharges pretty quick- Voice battery meter is very convenient ("Talk time is 6 hours")- It's very comfortable, i forget i have it on- It will stream audio (music, alerts, voice mail, virtually any sound your phone makes) from your phone. Haven't tried it on my pc yet- Auto answer works very well. If the earpiece is laying on the table and you pick it up, it does not answer until its on your head- Noise reduction works amazingly well. People ask me if i got a new headset, they say i sound better than talking directly into the phone.- The dongle is nice and small, I just leave it plugged into my laptop when it travels. No issues.- Range is pretty good. I could go a little further with the SaviGo, but different technology. I can walk most of the way to the other end of the house. I'm happy with it.Cons:- Voice activated dialing is poor and it assumes its correct (just places the call without confirmation). I've learned not to use it- This could be my phone, although it didn't do it before = If I have media notifications turned on (a setting for Bluetooth in Android), after ending a call, my phone will randomly (not all the time) play a song that's on my SD card through the headset. I rarely care to have the media audio come through the headset so I just turn the setting on/off as needed.- Since my laptop has Bluetooth built in, I was hoping I could use the headset without the dongle, however I could not get it to work, although I haven't researched it further yet.Over all the cons are just me being picky on the cool things it does. It's the best Bluetooth I've ever owned. Would obviously recommend it!

I got this headset at work. They bought it for me so I can use dragon on the computer to dictate notes. It seems to work very well. Obviously the speech-recongnition of dragon is at issue, but the headset seems to get the info to the computer with no difficulties. It is very comfortable to wear, coming with 3 different size ear plugs. I also connected it to my iPhone--it has no trouble switching between the computer and the phone. People hear me when on calls, and audio from the headset is very clear. The included items (charging cord to connect to USB, plug to connect to wall outlet, carrying case) are all very nice. Overall a very nice product.

This is one of the best headsets I've ever owned. It's actually intelligent. The ability to pair via Bluetooth as well as USB capability makes it just rock! It works perfectly with my Panasonic office phone as well as with my computer apps. The fact that you can just pick it up and put it on when a call comes in is slick; you just have to remember to hang it up afterwards by pushing the button on the boom mic. If you enable Auto Sensing in the control panel (you'll need to download and install the Spokes software on your computer) it will automatically connect to your computer for use with Skype, media apps and web audio and video and will disconnect when you're finished without you having to do anything. It can also be paired with 2 Bluetooth devices as well as the computer which makes it very flexible, I use it with my mobile phone, Android tablet and computer. Well Worth The Money!

I use my headset daily for installation services I provide to customers of a product I sell, I regularly am on the phone 5-7 hours a day, and this headset keeps up with me with flying colors. I even use it when gaming online, the audio quality is absolutely fantastic, and it integrates with skype flawlessly! It's also the first headset I've owned that I can actually increase the volume on it to a level that is TOO LOUD.Love it!

This is the best bluetooth I have had yet (2 previous ones were plantronics also). It is awesome at cutting out wind noise, tells you how much talk time you have, has 2 position on/off switch instead of having to hold the button in for 3 seconds or whatever to shut it off or turn it on. The Vocalist software that comes with it is kind of useless (would like to be able to use it to switch to the next music track or whatever), but I didn't buy it for that and had no expectations anyway. The best thing about this unit is the comfort! I was initially hesitant because I was not sure how well this would stay in your ear without the loop...the great news is, it stays in beautifully. Shook my head so hard I got dizzy and it did not come out. The M1100 is so comfortable I have 'lost' it twice because I forgot it was in my ear. 50 bucks may seem like a lot for a bluetooth, but this one is worth it.

This product was very easy to set up and I love that it works with both my iPhone and laptop at the same time. I use it for softphone calls at work and listen to my music on my iPhone. When I receive a call it lets me know and clicks right back to the music once the call ends. It is awesome! I recommend this to anyone who needs a headset for their computer or iPhone.

This is a great design, comfortable, slick, with great features. But, I'm sending it back due to a slight lack of treble making it sometimes unintelligible to me and the other person. A design flaw -- the treble needs another 500-1000Hz extension.I've owned the following Plantronics. I've recorded and compared each through an iPhone 3Gs, and also directly to the much better Bluetooth reception of my MacBook Pro. My sound quality comments are about the sound at the other person's end, but often the descriptors apply to the sound I hear as well:Voyager Pro - huge but very good sound quality.Voyager 520 - inexpensive, comfortable, and very clear if a bit crisp (trebly and harsh) sound. Bluetooth range is up to 15 ft, and breakup occurs on your end before on the listeners end, so you hear when to reduce your range before they have a chance to complain. I've used and gifted about 6 of these.Discovery 925 - clear sound, not as much treble as the 520 so not as easily intelligible, but more natural tonal quality. it is small and comfortable, but the large button has too little spring-back and can be triggered by accident easily. Bluetooth breakup is audible first to your conversant, so you aren't able to hear that you are exceeding its Bluetooth range.Discovery 975 - almost as intelligible as the 925. Better looking than the 925 and better button (smaller, stiffer, harder to hit by accident). The edges chip easily if you drop it or put it in a pocket with the phone or (especially) keys and change; this is quite visible because the surface is gun-metal gray over white plastic. I plan to buy again... but I'll paint the edges with a hard clear coat from the hobby store.Savor M1100 (I tested two units) -- measurably less treble, with a slightly chesty sound (too much lower midrange fullness) as heard by the other party, described by one as if listening to me talk into a speakerphone. Treble is rolled off at ~1.5kHz by 12 dB compared to the Discovery units (subjectively, less than half the treble). Consequentially, it is more often unintelligible, at least with my iPhone 3Gs due to inability to distinguish sounds from each other (t, s, z, sh, d -- all tend to sound like sh or th). Good enough to be intelligible direct to my MacBook Pro Bluetooth (although the built-in mic of the Mac is MUCH better), but still the higher frequencies are rolled off too much. I'm returning both the original and the (excellent) customer service replacement, and sending my FFT plots too. Occasionally the bluetooth breaks up a bit more often than the 975 an 925. Talk time is less than the 925 and 975 (not to mention both of which also come with a carrying case containing a backup battery that charges the unit fairly quickly, doubling talk time). The Savor also comes with an interesting (didn't test) one-year free trial of a voice-based recognition and information service which, if you like it and are a frequent user, might be worth the yearly price. But another revenue stream or business model is being created with this product line.

I researched a lot on the web and this was the best rated product. So, I was not disappointed when I received the product, I pair it with two HTC cell phones and my laptop that uses Cisco IP phone. Cell phones work great. However, I'm having some issues with the audio on the laptop. I believe this is related the the IP phone software configuration and I haven't had time tome figure it out yet,

I have spent a lot of time looking for and trying out headsets that a) have a very good sound quality, sufficient for speech recognition, b)have a great noise cancellation that permits to have phone calls in noisy environments without disturbing a conference call to much, c) are compact and wireless. This one is a clear winner on all counts. If you're into fancy, tiny Bluetooth headsets, I'm sure you find it clunky. If you, like me, have lived several years with theBoom, another excellent headset which unfortunately is both wired and very clunky, you will be thrilled. The sound quality when connected to the PC is fantastic (well, I don't use it for music, just for speech), as well as on the Bluetooth phone. I really couldn't even notice a difference in sound quality between standard bluetooth and the BT300 USB adapter that makes the PC or Mac think it's talking to a USB headset. Very happy after about six hours of continuous use. Excellent results both with Naturally Speaking (PC) and Dragon Dictate (Mac).A few notes:1) I'm not making any use of the motion sensor since I am absolutely convinced it would drive me crazy -- I turned it off right away. Please refer to other reviews for that.2) As other reviewers said: it comes with a fairly nice case that even has a nice little place for the USB adapter -- I would wait with purchasing a case until you lose this one!

I own an iPhone 4S, using this headset with the iPhone is painful.1. I do NOT keep the earpiece in my ear all the time. So, when I get an incoming call, and press the button to answer the call, what happens is the Built-in "Vocalyst" takes over, and screws up and thinks I want to do something, and gets in the way of actually ANSWERING my phone call!2. When I try to make a call, using Siri, or even the non-Siri voice system, built into the iPhone, "Vocalyst" again gets in my way. Where normally I would just press and hold the button on the headset to bring up the iPhone Voice system, I have to "quickly" double-press the button, to bypass "Vocalyst."3. (Note this problem isn't necessarily the fault of the Bluetooth headset)The A2DP functionality is problematic because when I use the iPhone with both the M1100, and either the Headphone jack, and/or the Dock connector (in my car) I have to keep switching audio sources as music, phone calls, and podcasts will revert to the last used source. This wasn't a problem for my last Bluetooth headset, because it didn't have A2DP, so be warned! Now, having said all of that, I love the feel of the headset, when it is in my ear. The weight is perfect, I can put on the headset with one hand, unlike my last headset. I wish the actual talk-time were more like my last headset, but for the different form-factor, I knew this would be shorter, so no complaints there.I've called Plantronics Tech Support, and confirmed that there is zero way to disable "Vocalyst," and thereby eliminate my two major problems with this headset.Lastly, to keep this review fair, my last headset was the "Plantronics Voyager PRO Bluetooth Headset", NOT the "Voyager Pro+" which lasted me for two years, until it finally died, and I bought this as a replacement.

I was beginning to think this day would never come. Had my old Plantronics Voyager 510 for so long and never found anything I liked as well, until now. Sadly, I am no kind of "power user" so my review is probably only going to serve those like myself. People who use a cell (or cordless) phone to actually make calls. But I find this vastly better due to it's excellent voice control, to use on one of my PS3 games (Tom Clancy's EndWar), as well. The biggest complaining I have with my old Plantronics is the on/off button. I swear the finger tip I use for that blankety blank button will probably have to be amputated someday from all the abuse it has taken with that crap button! This new model is like heaven. A nice SIMPLE slide button for on/off. Worth the price of this item for that improvement alone....On the opposite side is a button that you press to control volume. 3 levels to choose from PLUS a "mute" mode. There are features for those who have to be forever "connected" like Vocalyst which I probably will never even use or try. If I decide I want to however, this comes with a 1 year FREE trial. A pass code is included. Personally, I want to be OUT of touch! But should I try it, I will add to this review since there are probably more people who want to spend their time using such things than I do. The device is very simple in that I was able to have it up & running without ever even looking at the directions in less time than it took to unbox the thing. Came in a huge 2 sided plastic case I will probably find some great use for around the house. This headset comes with a nice fabric pouch as well. The only weird (to ME anyway) thing was the natural place to press to take or end a call is actually for voice commands, to call or end a call is at the TOP of a sort of toggle on the earpiece. To call you tap the TOP (not bottom) of the device when in your ear. Things I like:-The SO SIMPLE on/off slide control (LOVE is a better word!)-The sound like ALL my Plantronics devices is excellent-You tap the bottom button and ask about battery life=it TELLS you how much charge remains=brilliant.-Voice Commands in general are just great.-STOUT charger connection, not at all flimsy.-3 adjustable earpieces to fit YOUR ear-An INCLUDED ear "clip" if you feel you really need it Things I dislike:-Nothing at all so far and that is really unusual for me.Some basic specs are:-4 hours talk time-7 days standby time-33 foot range (though I am getting nearly TWICE that for some reason?) I would give this 5 stars and will upgrade it to that once I have more time & use. I just am not the type off person who runs out after 5 minutes yelling this is the BEST! I think this probably is however, but let's start with 4 stars and let it EARN 5 with some serious use & abuse? I own 2 of the previous versions. This cost nothing for me to try thanks to the Amazon Vine Program. If I have ANY complaint it is that now I have to shell out the cash for a SECOND headset because once again, I have stumbled upon something i HAVE to have for both my wife & myself, we don't share well....And I really like to cut down the amount of radiation from a cell phone by using an earpiece like this.

I had a PT 975 and loved it. So I had similar expectations when I bought the Savor. The signal strength is so poor, once you're more than a meter from the headset the reception becomes very crackly. Also, if the headset isn't in direct line of sight of the phone (like your body is in-between), it's crackly. I returned the first one thinking it was defective and the second one does the same thing. I got a Jawbone Era and it has none of these issues.

I purchased this bluetooth headset for my husband. He had this same model, which lasted five to six years before going belly-up. We checked local wireless stores and couldn't find anything that he liked as well, so I got the bright idea to check Amazon, just in case. And sure enough, here it was, and at one third the price we paid originally. Woohoo!
