I lost my Motorola Bluetooth - Thank Goodness, and the 510 replaces it. It's much better is almost all respects:- Pairs up much, much faster then the Moto did - almost instantaneous.- Persons on the other end report better audio quality.- Controls simple to use, even for my fat fingers.- For the first time, I can use a headset in my noisy old Jeep.- Confortable - much more so then the Moto.- Not dorky looking. I no longer look like I'm talking the the aliens behind the comet.The only downside is the slight delay when the phone asks me for a name or number dial.

Prior to purchasing this headset I owned 2 Motorola HS820 Bluetooth headsets. The HS 820 was decent, however I had the following problems with them;1. Battery charging port would not secure well with charger cord after a few weeks.2. The earpiece isn't really adjustable and after and hour or so I would feel discomfort.3. It doesn't rest securely on the ear and sometimes flaps around.The Plantronics Voyager 510Positives;1. Great fit, it comes with 3 foam ear buds that go in the outside of the ear canal.2. Long battery life, (battery unit is large).3. Works well with my Motorola E815. Loud and clear.4. Doesn't jingle on my ear.Negatives1. It is much larger than the HS820 and is not pretty.2. In order to use the main button you have to secure the headset between your thumb and middle finger and press with your pointer. If you just use your pointer finger (like on the HS 820) you will push the uit further into your ear, not comfortable.Overall I am happy with the unit. I have worn it for over 10 hours on several days and haven't had a problem.[...]

This is the absolute best bluetooth headset available. I have owned several bluetooth headsets and I must say this is the best. One of the headsets were the Motorola HS850 and it was just okay. It always felt like it was going to fall off my ear, but I kept it because it was the only bluetooth headset that worked somewhat decently with my Motorola v620. I also owned the Plantronics M2500, which was a huge mistake in purchasing. Everytime I would turn off the headset, the bluetooth connection took about 30 seconds to actually disconnect. Or it would lose its connection while I was on the phone! I finally decided to look into another headset and I found the Plantronic Voyager 510. I read all the great reviews and decided to give it a try. I am pleased to say that this headset has worked flawlessly! There is no static when I make calls. It fits perfectly and comfortably on my ear. All my calls come in crystal clear. I am very with my purchase. I hope that this review has assisted you with your decision on buying this fabulous product!!

I've been using this headset for about two weeks with a Blackberry 8700C. The headset has a very comfortable fit and the volume is nice and loud. The downside is that the battery life seems a bit sub-standard. I have been caught several times using it and running out of batteries. I also have some random disconnects with my Blackberry. Tough to say whether these disconnects are phone or headset related. I think this is a great value for the money though and prefer it over the Motorola's and Jabra's (better fit, louder sound). There is some difficulty pressing the buttons on this headset too - nothing that I could not work around though.

Having such long standby and talk times are nice, but it doesn't make up for the low comfort. Thank goodness it comes with two ear pieces as one broke when I tried to put it on the device. Perhaps the company knew this and put two in for that very reason. The device is so large that the poorly designed ear piece does not hold it to your ear well.

This is my first bluetooth headset and it has been great! I read a variety of reviews on the Mororola, Jabra, and Logictec products which were mostly negative re: fit, weight, and volume. The Platronics 510 surpassed my expectations in each of these categories. I have only a few minor complaints: 1)The on/off button was a little tricky to figure ... you have to push it down and sideways to get the unit to turn on. 2)the mute feature is useless because the button is too small ... I just use my phone mute 3)Sometimes I have to force my phone (Motorola 815) to seek for the device when it is first turned on however, if I wait about 4 minutes it will sync. These are all minor issues and I've really enjoyed the device.

Pros: small, not protruding like others, lightweight and comfortable. Batter last too long...lol, mic quality is great. twist sorta flat for storage in pocket etc. Multi-Link is greatCons: Sometimes volume could be louder in noisy environments, easy to lose the foam mic cover. buttons are hard to press (on/off) but not too bad.I don't know how I lived without this. I can link it up with my wife's phone and my phone at the same time, or my laptop and phone. I use Skype and other microphone based programs on my laptop, and I can play (listen & talk) in online games, talk via Skype and still have it linked to my cell phone at the same time. Very very handy. If you multitask frequently I definately recommend this headset!

I have used the product for the past two months, and my experience has been positive. Like others, I used different bluetooth headsets before (Motorola and Nokia brands), but I wind up going back to wired headset because of the poor sound and reception quality. This Plantronics V510 has plenty of sound power even in busy airports and busy resturants. More importantly, the callers on the other end can hear you loud and clear without much echo (which has been a problem with other Bluebooth headsets) even if you have the sound all the way up. But, be advise that you do need to have the "wind sock" on the mike if you use this headset outside since it does pick up wind noise. So, save all those various "socks" it comes with the phone. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like other bluebooth headsets. But, it has best sounding and best reception in the market, and that's what matter the most for me. I have a Nokia 6820...and there is about a second lag when the phone rings like other users noticed.

That's correct, for men! This headset is heavier then most but the sounds quality is excellent and most importantly it can be VERY LOUD! Most other Bluetooth headsets that I've tried have issues with volume level. They are not loud enough (Motorola, Logitech and Jabra) especially in a car drive fast. But be aware, it's on the heavy side for many. It's perfect for me but I am almost 6 feet tall and weight close to 230 lbs. I would not recommend it for most ladies.Also, the noise cancellation is good; people on the other side can hear me very well.Battery life is excellent; I estimate about 5 hours maybe 6.Drawbacks are:* It does not have a USB re-charger like some* The mute and off/on button is too small. Basically so small that it's useless. But then my phone has a mute button* It's heavier then most (not as heavy as Jabra though)

Prior to ordering the Plantronics, I went through 2 Motorola HS850's and was pretty disappointed. Looked on the Palm site (...) to see that the the Moto, Jabra are not fully compatible w/ the Treo, but Plantronics is.The Voyager 510 works just as I expected it to. Long battery life, directs all calls (incoming and outgoing) to the headset automatically with out having to press the MF button multiple times (like you have to w/ HS850). It's comfortable and sounds awesome; clear and much louder than the Moto 850 - in fact the volume is so good I frequently have to turn it down. The range is great as I've never run into problems where it's cut out or sounded bad.In short, not the "coolest" looking BT headset on the market but the functionality is very impressive. If you're looking for a great sounding headset that works, this one is a great choice (ESPECIALLY if you're a Treo owner!)

I bought two of these (One for the wife and one for me) and have been nothing but happy with them ever since. The sound quality for me is great paired with my Motorola V551 and my IBM Thinkpad with a generic BT USB dongle using Skype and the X-Ten Eyebeam SIP softphone.Callers tell me that I sound better using this headset than when I'm using the motorola handset. It took some getting used to but I can now wear it for hours and forget that I've got it on and it holds a charge all day.I've since recommended this model to two of my co-workers who are also very happy with it's performance. All in All, a great find.

I have tried many headsets and this is the keeper. Most of the Moto headsets would pair up with the phone but when it was time to call some one, or take a incomming call, no luck. The phone would ring, but the head set did nothing. I had to push the button three times on a Moto 850 to get the call to transfer and only after I answered the call with the phone, not headset and heard the people question where I was as I was hitting the headset button.This one works great. Every call rings through to the headset and every outgoing call goes to the head set. I have been able to get about 20 feet away from the phone in a open room before I start to hear static. Battery lasts a long time, no problem there. I know the treo 650 is picky when it comes to bluetooth headsets, but this one works great with it.

This is my first venture into the bluetooth market, so I was looking for a combination of low price and good performance. That is exactly what I got. With the hot price for this new unit, and the high level of performance, I am very happy with my purchase, and even happier about my new cordless life!The noise reduction works very well - I have tried it in windy conditions and the person on the other side claims to not hear anything. The volume adjustment works quite well so that I can hear the other person, even sitting at the gate in an airport.I am still getting used to the other functions of the headset, but so far find only the mute to be somewhat annoying. Every 30 seconds there's a beep - I suppose a small price for the knowledge that you are muted. Perfect for those endless conference calls when you are trying to talk to the taxi driver.The styling is okay - it's hard not to look like a drive thru operator - but be ready for a bit of jealous/good natured ribbing from friends. It is truly "all day" comfortable.Try it and enjoy it!

Purchased as a gift for my wife. It works great with her Motorola RAZR V3, and we love it.After reading reviews for all of the other Bluetooth headsets offered on Amazon, I went with this one. The unit fits on the ear very comfortably and is made of a soft flexible rubber material. Also, it comes with three different ear adapters to fit all ear types.Most importantly: it sounds great and people that you call cannot tell that you are on a headset. We tried it ourselves, and I could not tell the difference between the headset or the phone when my wife called the home phone.Love it. Will probably order one for me!

[...]It has been good so far. I main reason why I wanted the bluetooth headset is that I can use it as PC headset as well to make pc-to-pc calls. Believe me, with this it just feels you are talking over phone and sometimes better than calling cards I used to use. I'm using this with Dell Inspiron 6000 systems as headset and also with Nokia 6230. It has been working like charm.The issues which I felt with this are,1. Sometimes (very few times infact) I heard the echo of my voice when I'm talking over cell phone.2. The bluetooth on/off switch is designed in worst possible way. My finger really pains to put it on or off. It would not have been any noticeable unless if it was not used as mute button as well.

After comparing reviews on ear pieces, I narrowed my selections down to the Jabra BT250 and the Plantronics 510. Since the BT250 reviews were not consistant, and there were possible issues with the Treo 650, I went with Plantronics. It turned out to be one of the few purchases I was very happy with. Pairing it was simple, as was adjusting it to either ear. It hangs on the ear firmly, but is so comfortable, you can forget you're wearing it. The sound quality is excellent, on both my side, and the person I'm talking with.I have only one issue with it. The activation for incoming and outgoing calls should be faster. There's a noticable delay of one or two seconds, which may cause you to miss the first couple words of a conversation. Part of the problem may be the phone (Treo 650), but other than that, I'm very pleased with it.

I had the motorola headset and returned it. The audio quality was pretty bad, and it didn't seem to stay on my ear. The plantronics, is by no means perfect, but is great for someone with small ears, stays in place, has very good noise canceling technology (still not as good as the phone itself), and is very easy to use. I'm now pretty used to voice dialing, and very comfortable with the headset (I've had it for about a month). Hang on to the over the mouth piece "sponges", they really help on windy days. I've been through quite a few headsets, and this one is by far the best!!

This is my first BT unit which I bought to replace my wired headset. Incoming and outgoing voice quality is very good, nobody seems to know that I am using a BT headset. Loudness on both sides is also very good. Sometimes I hear a little echo of my own voice and a little static, but nothing major.The problem that I have with this unit is that it that the part that loops around your ear is rather large. When I am wearing my glasses, the loop on the headset sits on top of the loop of my glasses, therefore the headset does not sit properly and is not secure. In addition, I find this unit hard to put on with one hand because of the bulky ear loop; I didn't have this problem with my wired headset.To summarize:- Good voice quality- Comfortable (if you don't wear glasses)- Difficult to put on with one hand- Poor fit for people who wear glasses

This headset is very comfortable sometimes I forget I'm even wearing it! The voice quality is rich, full and very clear it's hard to believe this set is wireless! Here's the rundown:Pros:-Comfortable and fits securely.-Superb voice quality.-Mic with noise-cancellation technology.-Elegant design.Cons:-Hard to press on/off button.-Controls take time to get used to.-Voice-dialing doesn't work in semi-noisy environments.Overall, this is an awesome piece! Now I just have to watch I don't talk over my 1,500 minutes!

I'm new to bluetooth technology so I don't have a lot of experience with different headsets. I had to do a lot of research on the internet as it is near impossible to test these hands-on in stores. Thanks to Amazon for providing a medium for consumer reviews. My decision was influenced heavily by what others have written here and I can say they were dead-on in their reviews of this headset.Mine paired flawlessly with my Motorola E815 and have not had any connection problems at all. Volume and sound quality are great, although, if the surroundings get noisy, the mic tends to be a little over sensitive (maybe my noise cancelling feature isn't working properly). That aside, everything else is perfect including battery life and comfort. Wish Plantronics included a belt-clip case for it.

So after a lot of research I decided on the Plantronics Bluetooth headset verses all the other products for the Blackberry 7250. I think that this product works well except I find myself going back to the blackberry itself when there is noise in the background. I think that it does a good job in a perfectly quiet environment but once I am in a public place it seems that no one can hear me over the noise. I do not know if others that are more expensive are better at noise cancelation but this one could use some work. That being said I think Bluetooth wireless technology is great and I am sure it will get better over time.

After trying a few other bluetooth headsets I knew I wanted one that had really good noise cancelling ability. This one does it. (I cranked up the tunes in my car and carried on a conversation as a test - no problem).Big but comfortable behind the ear (I wear glasses too).The small power/mute button is annoying but manageable. My only complaint is with Treo because they don't support the playing of music to bluetooth devices... (yet)

I use this headset with my (Verizon) Motorola E815 phone and I have to say that it literally took 5 minutes from unpackaging until I was talking on the phone. Audio is very clear and feedback from my friends is that to them it sounds just like I was talking from the handset.

No complaints. I use it with a Motorola E815 and it was very easy to set up. It is comfortable, easy to use, and clear. The volume is good and people on the phone say they can't tell a difference between the headset and holding the phone to my head.

I'm using this headset with a Nokia 6600 and it works great. I'm much happier with this headset than the Motorola H500 it replaced.Pros:- Battery Life- Secure and Comfortable Fit- Great Range- Louder Than Most Other Bluetooth Headsets- Can Be Used With Multiple DevicesCon:- (Minor) Power Button is so small it's impossible to depress while wearing the headset. It's slightly difficult to depress with the headset right in front of you.

I purchased the Platronics 510 after I lost a Jabra Bluetooth unit earlier this year. After charging it up it worked well for about a week and then it failed to hold a charge for any length of time, if at all. I was also disappointed with the earpiece. The Jabra was almost twice the price but it worked very well, had great distance and multiple soft rubber earpieces. When I tried to exchange the Platronics for a new unit their customer service claimed they had not yet released the model and implied that I had obtained it "inappropriately". After 30 minutes and a discussion with her supervisor it was determined that it had been released and Amazon was indeed a legitimate source. They had a rather complicated return process so I gave up on Plantronics and returned the earpiece to Amazon for a refund.

I had high hopes for this product. I have had a lot of success with Plantronics headsets in the past. However, this headset would connect to a Jabra BT adapter, a LG PM-325 phone, and a Kennsington BT USB adapter. The received voice quality was good. However, the transmitted voice quality would go very poor and break up. My friends reported that they were only getting portions of my transmitted voice the rest being a metallic sounding robot voice. I experiemented a lot with some other BT devices - and I have now returned this product. This could have been the made-on-Friday product (i.e. the one bad one). So - in the end - disappointed :-(

I purchased my voyager 510 based on the exceptional reviews on Amazon. It worked well the first week, but after the second charge it started making a popping noise and cutting in and out during calls. People I spoke with using the headset told me that it sounded as though I was in a wind tunnel.Likes:- Comfortable and light.- In ear design which makes calls in noisy places possible.- Long battery life.Dislikes:- Bulky and difficult to carry if you are not wearing it.- Tiny power button. I wish it was easy to turn on and off like the Motorola HS850.- Poor quality.

This was my first bluetooth headset. I have it paired with a Moto E815. I don't really have any complaints, as I said this was my first one, but it does everything I have expected of it. I haven't had any complaints from the people I talk to with it and I can hear them just fine. I can usually get a little over 10 meters before it starts to cut out. The only thing I can say bad is that the power button is a little hard to push, thats about it.

With the introduction of the Voyager 510, Plantronics has taken their headset expertise from the wired world to the unwired world of Bluetooth. This is by far the best Bluetooth headset I've ever used. It's sound is so clear and loud, I almost can't turn my phone down far enough. The sound quality on the recieving end is crytal clear. And, with the ear piece inserting into the ear in addition to the noise cancelling microphone, the noisest environments are a non-issue. Combine all these features with the low price and it becomes the best Bluetooth headset on the market.

Definitely a good buy, especially as the price keeps dropping! Excellent sound. I have it paired with a Razr, and it was fairly straightforward, after I carefully re-read and understood the instructions :-)I wish they had made it easier to fold and put in a pocket (and also that it shut off easily like some of the Moto models). Also note that if you use the little foam tip for the mouthpiece, it can fall off way too easily.

This is my 1st BT headset.. a good product. It works well with my Razr V3 phone. I'm a little hard of hearing so the loud volume of this unit is great. Comfort is fine for hours long wearing.Most corded models either sounded bad to me or the other party, this model sounds fine on both ends. Noise reduction works well with the windows rolled down driving on the highway.The only reason it didn't get a '5' is because it takes too long to put on my ear.. though I specifically chose this style since it won't fall off easily and is comfortable to wear, even with glasses.

I had the Moto HS850 for a couple of days and was disappointed with the lack of volume and the way it flopped around on my ear. I read several reviews here and on the net about the Plantronics V510 and decided to give it a try.What a great headset. The volume is incredible, it fits securely, and it is very comfortable. This is one of the best products I have purchased in a long time.

I have a convertible and have tried several headsets. Problem is that I could never hear the person on the other end when my top was down. This headset is more than loud enough to hear callers. Also, it comes with a wind sock so I can talk while the top is down and the person on the other end can hear me with no problems. This is definitely the best headset I have ever purchased.

I have used the Jabra BT250, the motorola HS850 and now the plantronics voyager 510 and this is hands down the best that i have had the opportunity to use. The sound is loud and crisp with very little distortion. the audio is fantastic and all my callers have been able to hear me with clarity. The ability to switch between multiple bluetooth devices is fantastic especially if you use a Voice over IP and a blue tooth cellphone. And last but not least it sits very securely on the ear with no discomfort. I highly recommend this product.

Best of the rest. I tried Motorola and Jabra...Plantronics Voyager fits better and sounds more clear than the others. Very comfortable...plenty of battery life...sounds great to user and those on the other end as well. Best quality is fit and comfort...others lag behind in this area. I use it with Motrola E815 phone...no drops and easy pairing.

I use this headset with my Nokia 3660 cellphone all the time. The sound is clear. The earloop is comfortable. I can set my cellphone on my desk and walk all around my apartment and I'm still able to talk. The range is about 20 feet or so with line of site. Just stay away from running microwaves!Since this device supports the headset and the handsfree bluetooth profile, it will also work on a PC. I've used it on TeamSpeak to talk to people while playing games online. With a clear line of site, I'm able to get about 200 feet away from my PC and still have a signal.Cons:Just a few annoyances with my unit:* Talk time is only about 1.5 hours with my unit. Might just be the condition of the battery on my particular unit though. I bought new batteries recently (only $6 each) and I now get about 3 hours talk time.* It takes a few seconds to power up and sync. So if want to receive incoming calls with it you better have it powered up and on your ear already.* Once the device is connected to the phone it will only ring to the headset. So if it's not on your ear you won't hear it ring.Overall it's a great product.

I haven't tried all the features on this unit, however, it pretty much works as advertised.The battery seems to work as long as advertised. Haven't run out of juice yet.The sound is pretty clear. In fact, with the motorola black razr, it sounds better then using the phone.I do definitively recommend the unit.

Overall I like this headset. I have small ears set close to my head and was concerned about fit, but the headset is so flexible and light that it is excellent. The sound transmission is OK. It is easy to use and I would purchase it again.

I have 6 headsets and all are OK. I just received the Plantronics unit, just out, and it is simply the best sounding, most comfortable and best value available. I have a Jobra, 2 Logitechs, Body Glove and 2 older Plantronics units. The 510 is THE ONE. I wear it all day and I forget it's on my head until it rings. It works in the wind and in my office. It's a 10!

I was extremely impressed with the sound quality of this product. It works great, makes it easy for people to hear me, and me to hear others. Sadly, the headset was just extremely uncomfortable. I've used the SE HBH-30 and Jabra 250, both of which feel great. this one was painful after wearing it for about 10 min.
