Everyone is right -- the headset doesn't fit snugly into the charger. Even when I tried to push the headset into the charger really firmly, it still pops out of the charger. This was very disappointing and distressing to me. For such a sleekly-designed product, the charger is the worst design I've ever seen. I have to put a lot of effort into positioning the headset into the charger in just the perfect position so that it gets charged but doesn't pop out of the charger. It's more work than I wanted. But everything else is great -- sound quality, the DSP function, etc. Overall, it's a very sexy design and when people see the headset and the awesome carrying case with all the components, they'll be jealous of you. I guess nothing is perfect.

I just recieved this headset and i am so impressed with it. i doubt i will be getting another headset for a while.It is so small and lightweight. there is an optional ear harness that goes around the ear. my previous headsets hurt when i put them on and now that i have this one without any ear harness it is so comfortable. It has multiple size ear pieces for different size ears. the charger handles multiple charger connections or you can use the one from the box. i dont like having too many chargers around so i can use the one that charges my BalckBerry to charge this little baby. it has great sound and great abstract noise cancelation.All in all... this is the smallest, lightest, easiest headset i have ever owned and i have owned quite a few. I love it. You should take it for a spin.

If you work in a noisy environment or need something really lightweight or wear glasses, then this is the perfect headset. It is light, almost featherweight, sounds great for both incoming and outgoing, and comes with an array of charging options. The only drawback to it is the button and how hard it is to press. Other than that, I would have to say that this is a perfect headset and Plantronics has made a believer out of me. The DSP works in reducing background noise. It does not however, remove it completely, which may or may not be a good thing. But the fact that the other party can still hear you clearly when you have your windows rolled down says a lot.Unless they come out with something that just looks a whole lot better or has longer battery life with the same features, I am sticking with this one.

plantronics product designers please go back to design school. i can't believe that this actually won some awards. the charger is horrible and caused a lot of confusion and frustration. i kept thinking it was charging but it wasn't. scotch tape didn't help at all either. if you push too hard or too little it won't charge. when you do get it to charge it eventually pops loose and stops charging. note i was always charging the device on my desk with no movement not in my pocket as they claim you can.

I bought this about a week ago, its my first bluetooth headset and have been able to successfully pair it with my T-mobile MDA and also my husband's SDA. The Pairing was so easy and it works really well with both the phones. Sound quality is very very good, have not heard any echos or static so far. The headset is light in weight and does not sit heavy on the ears. I can turn off the headset when not in use and turn it back on and my phone picks it up rightaway. I bought this product after reading all the reviews at amazon and I have no regrets. I will definitely recommend this one, awesome headset.

This is the first Bluetooth device I have owned and I didn't know what to expect. But, it is easy to use, comfortable to wear and has been a pleasant experience so far. Went to a Devil Rays game today and called my son on it during the game. It was very noisy but the voice dial worked perfectly and we could hear each other very well. Also made several calls in a mall and they went smooth. Yesterday I left the phone in the car in my garage by mistake. Got a call and answered it. The phone was in the car, went through 3 walls and was easily 25 ft away from where I was with the headset--went perfectly.All +++, no negatives.

Purchased this unit with high expectations but so far I have been let down. Although incoming voice quality is amazing, outgoing quality is very poor with the caller on the other end often complaining of excessive background noise and static. I'd stay away from this until Plantronics sorts out the bugs.Pros:+Size and Weight (very comfortable to wear)+Unique charging solutions+Vibrating holster+Incoming voice quality and volumeCons:-Outgoing call quality (complaints of static, echo, and background noise)-Slow to initiate BT connection-Makes voice command over BT almost impossible

As Discovery 640, it's extreamly comfortable to wear and you will even forgot u are wearing it. it's light weight, stressless to your ears. but it's terrible that Discovery 645's talk time is only 3 hours (on spec.), while its previous version Discovery 640 got 5 (on spec, too) due to its DSP noise cancelling function, it drain battery badly, and the MOST DISAPPOINTED thing is there is NO MULTIPOINT !!! it's pointless to buy this newer version will less talk time and the most important multipoint function (which mean while u have your headset connected to your computer, u can't answer a phone call with the headset). The bottom line is : I'd not recommand you to buy this product.

First of all, the listing here is inaccurate. The 645 does not have multipoint. The only plantronics headset to feature multipoint is the 510.Additionally, the holster is terrible. Assuming the holster will work to hold the headset will pretty much guarantee you will lose it.Sound quality is fine, however there is a significant delay between when the phone starts dialing and when the headset picks up. Same goes for answering calls.It's also extremely easy to accidentally trigger the auto-redial button.The only positive feature of the 645 is that it's comfortable, however certainly not enough so to merit the pricetag.All told, I would steer clear of this. Not worth the cost. If you're looking for a high end headset, I would suggest the Jabra JX10. I have one of those as well and am much happier with it.

In a world full of marketing hype it's always good to find something that works as advertised. The design of the Voyager 510 is well thought out. It's comfortable, but you still know it's there. For me that's a very good thing. I don't want it falling off only for me to realize it well after the fact. However, due to its great design I don't think it would fall off easily. Volume is excellent, once you're used to the controls they are excellent, clarity of what you hear as well as how others hear you is excellent. Overall solid purchase.

After trying several Headsets in the $75.00 and under range, This Plantronics Voyager 510 I feel is the best.. Very Comfortable I wear mine 10-14 hrs a day and I forget sometimes its on. Very Clear headphone and mic, noise cancelling works very well even with window open. Only small flaw I would say is the Power button and Volume Rocker Switch can be sometimes difficult to operate. I tried the Scala Cardo as well as the Logitech . The Cardo sounded bad and very uncomfy . The Logitech sounded much better and did a great job with wind noise , however after wearing it for 10+ hrs a day it actually gave me a blister on my ear very uncomfy. I bought this Plantronics and Im buying another one as a spare. For under $50.00 you cant beat it! And Amazon Rocks with pricing and shipping. 75% of my purchases are made on Amazon.

I've had three headsets. A Motorola HS-810 and two HS-850s all of which died on me so I decided to look for something better. This one is a huge improvement. Everyone I've talked to so far commented that it doesn't sound like a headset, no echo, static or problems understanding me. Connecting it to my PC via a Linksys USB Bluetooth adapter also worked perfectly, just press the main button to connect and disconnect (the Motorola's were quite temperamental doing this). It's very comfortable to wear and IMHO looks very stylish, the lights are tiny but very bright (one blue, one red). I would have paid just about any amount for something this good (850 was $130 new) so for $45 that I paid it's an absolute steal.

On the pro side, I find this easy to use and the convenient tube holder is one of the reasons. I also appreciate the battery charger that comes with it to use in between charges. It would be nice if it had a little more volume.

I have had the phone for one week now, and here are my observations.The good:The sound quality of the incoming caller's voice is very loud and clear. In fact, I had to learn to speak softer than with other headsets as callers said it sounded as if I were shouting when I spoke at the same volume that I was used to using.It interfaced with the voice dialing capabilities of my Motorola E815 with zero effort.Battery charge is excellent.The Bad:This is the only reason why I did not rate it 5 stars.When I first got the headset and made calls from home, callers could hear me fine, but they broke up (picket fencing). I finally tracked it down to my wireless router running at 2.4 GHz using 802.11b protocol.It turns out that the router runs in the same frequency range as Bluetooth headsets. The router stays on a set frequency while the headset jumps frequencies in the range. It appears as it hops to the router's frequency it causes interference with the call. To resolve this, I simply disabled the wireless setting until I actually need to utilize it. Problem solved.Because other devices operate at 2.4GH, the same issue of the caller's voice breaking up could occur with Microwave ovens running and some cordless phones that operate at 2.4 GHz.

This is my first bluetooth headset but I did a lot of research to see what people were saying about all the various models out there. Everything you read on this page is true about this Plantronics headset. It is SO easy to use and has perfect voice quality! Most of my friends don't even know I'm on it when I'm using it to talk to them! Battery life is excellent, too! I would strongly recommend buying this over any Motorala brand or anything else. Sure, it's not the most fashionable accessory but, more importantly, it works reliably and very well.

did a lot of customer review reading for a bluetooth earpiece before deciding that this is the one. The clarity is pretty good for close range and starts deteriorating at about 20ft...It was pretty easy to setup with my motorola v330 and I also paired it with my compaq v2000 to do internet voice chats. The results have been very satisfactory. The best thing I like about this device is the comfort. Its been designed very well to sit over the ear and the different sizes of ear plugs provided means that you can choose the one that fits your ear the best. Definitely recommend people to buy this product.Update: After 3 months of use the ear bud tore off....don't know if I used it rough or if it was just bad. So right now I am using it without the bud....sound quality and receptions are still excellent is a definite keeper for me

I have to say that this is one of the most poorly designed products that I have seen in a while. First of all the ear piece does not fit securely in the charger; consequently it does not make good contact with the charging posts and will not charge unless you hold the ear piece down. The second problem that I had with this device is that the charger and supplied adapter that it came with did not fit together tightly; it would not charge using the supplied charger assembly. I do not know how the product actually performed because I never got to use it. In my opinion Plantronics needs to hire a new product designer.

Best bluetooth earpiece I've come across so far. Lightweight, comfortable for several hours a day, and good to excellent reception. Ocasionally someone tells me I sound like I'm "talking on a cellphone"...meaning not perfectly clear like a land line. So who cares...you get hands-free! Battery life is good...keeps going all day without needing a charge till the evening. It comes with several adapters for charging options. Also 3 sizes of earbuds. As I use a Blackberry 8700, this device is perfect.

My experience with cell phone accessories has made me very careful about my purchases. Fortunately, this was one of my better choices. The headset works beautifully, charges quickly and stays charged for a long time. I have friends using other, more expensive brands that sound terrible, plus they look like some sort of big silver beetle attached to their ear. Bottom line: if you need a good quality headset, this is it.

This is the worst electronics product I have ever purchased.*I heard static unless the phone was next to the headset.*The over ear "holder" kept comin off*The device would not stay in the charger without something external to hold it in*People said I sounded like I was in a cave--underwater--in BelizeWhen I called for return authorization the customer service rep told me they are having more returned than people keep. This is just an atrocious product.XP Passport was a pleasure to deal with and great about the return.

I spend a lot of time travelling on my job and have a need for a good headset. I found wired sets to confining and was forever shifting wires. I decided to go Bluetooth. First I tried a cheap knockoff that half worked. I tried a couple of Motorolas that looked great but had the back of my my ear on fire after 30 minutes. Next was a Sony that looked great and felt comfortable but everyone complained about how I sounded. I finally decided to give the Plantronics a try. I got a 320 to start and loved it but saw that the 510 had more features so I traded up.This thing is awesome. It isn't as "showy" as some of the others which I like since I'm not trying to make a fashion statement but it feels good, works like a charm and most people I talk to can't tell I'm on a headset. Talk time is excellent and the mute and last number redial are just what I needed. The only thing that keeps this headset from being perfect is the atrocious power/mute button. It requires too much effort to press and is really small resulting in having to sometimes take the set off the ear to operate. Not an issue if you're just turning on and off but a real hassle when using the mute (as I do when on meetings). Overall a strong recommend.

This was my first headset purchase. I researched most similar headsets in this price range. Bottom line is that for the price, the comfort, battery life, and audio quality (sending and recieving) that I got over this headset was great, both on my Sony Ericsson cell phone and over Skype. Highly reccomended.

The Voyager 510 Headset has been working very well. It gets used in a rugged way as that I do service work. It has worked in different temperatures also. I left it in a shirt pocket and put the shirt through the washing machine and it still worked after just recharging it. I was very supprised when this happened. Great headset.

Great audio quality, VERY comfy to wear for even long periods of time, and VERY handy to charge (uses the same charger as either our Motorola RAZR or Audiovox 5600 Smartphone.) Not sure how much difference the DSP makes, as I never had a bluetooth headset before this one, but callers rarely notice I'm on the road.

Having had a truly awful first experience with bluetooth in the form of the Motorola H500, I decided to try this headset. Although the Motorola was small and reasonably comfortable, the sound for the person listening to me was often unintelligible. My wife had the same unit, and we couldn't talk to each other on them - we couldn't understand each other.So my interest in the Plantronics was good sound quality - something I always got in their wired headsets. And this unit does not disappoint. Truly excellent no-one-can-tell-I'm-on-a-headset sound, even in a moving car with an open window.

The sound quality is exceptional. I have been on conference calls with my clients and not once was I asked if I was using a headset. They didnt know the difference. This headset is also very confortable to wear the whole day and works great while driving.Complaint 1: if the headset is not on your ear, then it gets very difficult to put it on while driving with one hand. So I always have to ritually wear it before I start driving.Complaint 2: Volume control buttons are difficult to operate while wearing. So I always use the volume controls on my phone.Overall, very satisfactory and worth every penny.

After reading reviews of various bluetooth products on Amazon.com, I settled on this Plantronics headset, and I have been very happy with it. The device does everything I expected it to do. It fits well, and I can wear it for several hours before it starts to bother my ear, and then I just move the parts and switch ears. In my experience, it has great battery life. I can usually get 6-8 hours of talk time out of it when it's been fully charged. I have been told by numerous people that they can actually hear me much better (almost no problems at all) when I am using the headset. (I have a lot of static and dead air when using my cingular,sony erricsson by itself in my home.) The only complaint other people have about it is the headset's sensitivity to outside noise, especially wind noise when outside. I have not yet set up voice command, so I can't comment on that aspect. Overall, I am very impressed with this product and highly recommend it.

I've had a few BT headsets, and this one is better than all of them.The main feature for me that sold me is the fact that the ear piece is snug up against the ear canal, allowing you to hear conversation in the most extreme conditions (wind, car, restaurant, etc). In addition there are a total of 3 ear pieces that you can interchange with the unit to find the one that is most copmfortable for you.Also included are foam protectors for the mic, greatly reducing wind noise.I have tested this unit with some of the most discerning people and they all report that they can hear me fine, under a variety of conditions.The functions of the headest (mute, volume, transfer call, flash call, etc) all work beautifully.The ONLY complaint I have is the same as everyone with this headset, the POWER/MUTE button is really small and it takes a bit of feeling around until you find it, which makes the MUTE function less accessible, but it does not bother me for the power button because I leave the unit on ALL the time (just keep it plugged in when not using).The battery is good and I have yet to run out. Also,m the unit charges in about 2 hours, so it's not hard to keep a charge in it.I have a TREO 650 and this headset works beautifully with it.

I ordered this headset from Amazon after alot of research into available headsets. One plus was the repeated comment that it is really comfortable, and another, purely for geek value, is the Multipoint capability.I can now attest to the first comment. I can wear the headset for hours with no irritation. In fact, sometimes I forget that it is on my ear until it rings. I had purchased the Plantronics M2500 after this headset to see the difference and the M2500 went right back to the store as it was literally a pain to wear.I have a LG PM325 phone and I can get crystal clear sound even when the phone is in the trunk (I do have a small car though ;-). I routinely wander more than 15ft from the phone and the sound quality is excellent. I have the sound set a couple of clicks less than maximum because of the clarity ... something that can't be said of other headsets.One suggestion: keep the wind sock on the headset fulltime. It looks a bit "dorky" but you'll have no problem talking when you walk outside.The only minor downside is that when the tone sounds to signal a low battery, there isn't much talk time left at all. I charge it every few days with moderate usage.

This unit works! I had 2 Motorola bluetooth headsets and I was about to give up on bluetooth headses altogether. This one sounds good in the car for both the listener to whom I am talking to and for myself. In fact it actually sounds better than pressing the phone up to my ear. It can be loud as well which is good and bad. The good is when you have a lot of background noise, this thing can be heard. The bad, is it can be really loud!It is a little difficult to use, but once it is on it is very comfortable. However you have to take it on and off to use the ridiculously small on/off button. Not good for anyone with large hands. The battery could last a little longer too.In summary I have tried other headsets besides the Motorola ones and this one sounds the best. Especially in a car where it makes the most difference since my car has a manual transmission. I also use it in the office with my computer. It works. That is all I care about at this point.

The Plantronics 510 is comfortable to wear for hours and doesn't feel like it will fall off your ear. It mates easily to my Treo 650 and also to my Bluetooth-enable laptop, which makes it possible to use the laptop for VoIP calls. Reception is good, volume is adequate and the people I talk with say that my voice is clear. The controls are a bit stiff, as others have said. But that means they have good tactile feedback -- you know when you've pressed a button.One marginal shortcoming: the 510's clarity isn't good enough for it to replace the wired Plantronics USB headset I use for dictating to Dragon Systems "Naturally Speaking" voice recognition software on the laptop. But that would be a stretch for any wireless headset.Prices vary widely; shop around.

Excellent sound quality. The DSP works to greatly reduce background noise. It easily paired with my Nokia phone. The only drawback is that it will only pair with one device at a time. Too bad since I own two phones.

Well, I figured that I might as well write a short review here for the 510 headset. I've had it for 5 months or so, and it's been great! I've had no problems with it, and I am happy that I listened to the advice from the people here on Amazon.My conclusion: After reading other reviews for wireless bluetooth headsets, and using this one, there is no better option than getting this one if you can. You will not regret it!

After reading the previous excellent reviews, I decided to order the Plantronics 510. I am using a Motorola V710, and needed the hands-free capability in my car.The unit was received quickly, and I was impressed by the size and weight of the headset. I charged the unit long enough to allow the headset to "handshake" with my phone. They became good friends very quickly, and within a short period of time, I was communicating. My first call was to a good firend who is very critical about audio quality, and he could not tell that I was using a Blue Tooth headset. I was able to walk around the room, and into the next room without static or interference.The unit is light, easy to learn and use, and is built very well. Yeah, the operation buttons are a bit small, but they are easy to get used to, and the power button has a very distiguishable point on it that lets you know where it's at.I give it 5 ***** Worth the $50 bucks!

I read all the reviews of this item before I bought it. I have not had the problems finding the power switch as others have. I bought this to replace a Motorola headset that just wasn't loud enough to be heard over my truck's engine.The Plantronics is plenty loud, with crystal clear sound. It is comfortable, and easy to use. All in all, I couldn't be happier.

This is my second Plantronics headset (lost my 1st) Love the upgrades done to this new version. I have a Blackberry 7520 and I tried every Bluetooh headset under the sun. The Plantronics Voyager have worked the best so far and I am loving it!! Lightweight, long talk time, awesome outdoor technology, trust me, this is the one!

Well, after reading tons of reviews on blue tooth headsets that work with the Palm Treo 650, I decided on the Plantronics over the Jabra. I've been using it extensively for 1-week now so here's the scoop in a nutshell...1) My Treo immediately recognized the headset and installation was a breeze.2) The sound clarity is crystal-clear and loud! Whoever you are talking to will hear you loud and clear and won't believe your on a wireless headset.3) It is very comfortable behind your ear and you won't feel like it is going to fall off, like other blue tooth headsets. I have a small ear canal however and the bud can be a little uncomfortable. I noticed that if I position it just right, it doesn't bother me at all however.4) The mute/on & off button is TERRIBLE. You need needle-fingers to use it. But then again, you only use the button to turn it on and off so what's the big deal, right?5) If you get more than 8 feet away from your cell phone you'll hear some crackling in the line.Overall, I highly recommend this item to you. It's certainly worth the $52 I paid on Amazon for it!

This is a great device. Very comfortable, can wear for hours. Sound is clear,loud and no background noise. My Blackberry has the dierect connect feature {radio walkie/talkie)and works great. However there is a mall amount of echo at times when using the phone, may be due to user's phone on other end, other times very clear with no echo. Use the windsock when outdoors otherwise communication is impossible. Power on/off button is a little small, but no biggie.Overall I am very satisfied with the Plantronics Voyager 510 and would strongly recommend it.

This headset works great with my Palm Trio 650. Setup was relatively easy with most of the difficulty from my Trio, not the headset. It has great sound. I have only two critisisms:1. The power button is ridiculous. It is very small, you have to push very hard for several seconds to turn it off and on, and it has a little "point" on the middle that hurts my finger when I hold it down. Sometimes I have to push it against a hard surface to get it to work.2. The earpiece fell out and I almost lost it. It happened on a holiday when I was visiting family. My father found it and I happened to ask him if he had found an earpiece to an electronic device and fortunately, he had found it kept it. When I got it back, I put a drop of superglue on it when I re-inserted it to keep it from falling out again. It didn't work very well without it while it was lost.Overall, this thing works pretty well. I would buy it again.

This is my 3rd BT Headset. Out of all of them I like the Voyager the best....the reason is the Voyager has the best voice quality....very clear and loud enough for anyone. That and it fits either ear really makes it for me great. I also have a Motorola HS820, it's pretty good, but lacks some things that the Voyager seems to have down better.What I like about the Voyager compared to the 820, fits either ear...820 only fits the right ear only, sound is better, ear bud fits in the ear making it a lot easier to hear in loud environments.Things I wish the Voyager had that the 820 has......it's lighter, the command button is better, it's not as big over the ear, I just seem to forget that I'm wearing the 820. The Voyager I tend to know I'm wearing it, where as the 820 I forget it's on me.One thing about the Voyager with the command button is that I don't hear the whole menu when it starts. I don't know if it's the transmitter link just being awaken from sleep or what....but I only hear the tail end of the prompt .....the 820 you hear the whole thing from the press of the button. Not really a big deal....but I do notice it from the 820.Overall I use the Voyager the most.....but still use my 820 also.....but the voice quality blows the 820 out of the water......it's that much better. Living abroad, I make all of my phone calls home using Skype. However, I was tired of being tethered to my notebook computer when I would call. Now, with the Voyager 510, as soon as I turn it on it connects to my compter and all audio is automatically re-routed to it. I can roam my apartment with both hands free while talking. It's awesome. Voice quality is great, on both ends; I'd say it's on-par with standard land-line telephone quality. My ears are big, and the fit and weight of the unit is fine, I never felt that it was annoying. There is a slight hissing sound from the unit when it is connected, but it's not noticible during a conversation, and almost disappears at the volume I use. Yes, voices are so loud that I don't need to set the volume to maximum, even when my windows are open to the sounds of eight lanes of traffic below. I also think it looks fine too, the boom mic is more practical and offers better sound to the other party.I have only one minor complaint: the power button is small and a little awkward. But it is possible to locate and use while wearing once you are familiar with it.

Nothing is more Star Trek than wearing these earphones. Light, comfortable, easy to use, good sound, bug free, nice battery life. Like others, I find the buttons nearly useless, and tolerate only the off/on on, other functions I prefer working from my Motorola phone buttons. The accuracy by which the Moto phone interprets voice commands is incredible, and I spend 90% of my time coordinating calls by voice commands.Microphone output is superb. At times the earpiece crackles like a dirty connector ... most commonly when traveling by car. At home its solidly clear. The voices of callers are very clear, albeit softly muffled and lacking frequency response, like a very compressed MP3 file. It may sound like Uncle Bob has a cold but you can make out everything he says.Your only question is do you need one of these. I didn't but Ms. Christmas said I did.
