With the volume turned all the way up and the room quiet otherwise I can barely hear anything. The old phones, under the same conditions were set at about mid range on the volume. There is also an echo when using these phones that is very annoying. I would not recommend these.

Panasonic support is helpful, but not good at explaining issues. When one presses to get missed calls, one gets all calls in queue, even those answered - could not get clear explanation from support. This is annoying and can be confusing. Likewise, the option to hang on wall is problematic. I replaced an old phone and the new fixation points are closer together than the old one (the older original standard I presume). Requires rewiring/replacing jack or at least faceplate -- my face place contains the jack insert and is wired, so I will have to replace wired faceplate to hang on wall. Original faceplate mounts 4"; this phone 3-3/4". Also, need to dial "1", another annoyance -- my older cell phone has incorporated "1" automatically when number entered. When entering a number in phone book, can incorporate the "1", but must dial it with manual number entry.

The phone does what it says it does - good reception, lots of features and it is easy to operate. We like the fact that this particular model comes without the answering machine.

Love the phones, works great. I got a referral from a friend who owns a business and gets like 200 calls a day and puts his equipment through some wear and tear. When my 4 year old Uniden phones started to go I talked to him and he said he loved these phones. My uniden cordless phones never really had good reception so I figured I would try something else and since my friend has gone through a few cordless phones I'd see what he had to say. The reception is very good and battery life is great. No setup at all, just plugged in and all 3 cordless phones worked. Very happy with it.

This is an excellent basic phone. The handsets hold a charge quite nicely. The ability to plug the satellite into an outlet where there is no phone jack is exceedingly convenient.

This phone is very nice - especially when paired with the Plantronics headset. The call quality is good and the phone is easy to use. I do wish it had the ability to mute the ringer, though.

i received this package with no batteries and was required to contact Panasonic. They advised that they required a faxed copy of the Amazon receipt. In light of this I decided to return the product to Amazon

A full review now would be premature as we haven't tested all it's advertised features yet. We have had this phone for less than a month and we mostly use our cell phone. But sofar it's a five star.

My wife and I are both a little hard of hearing. We need to keep the volume up to hear someone speak to us. The only problem with these phones is that the person calling inbound can hear themselves talking or maybe a feed back of their own voice which is very distracking. My son told me about it one time when he called, and so one time as I was out of town and called my wife I heard the same thing which was my own voice as I spoke.

Sound quality is great. Panasonic has almost always been the best in this area. Also the user interface is way better than siemens and philips.

I purchased this phone for my aging mother who will be coming in soon to live with me. In the mean time I have been getting acquainted with the phone which is quite easy to set up. The clarity is outstanding and function keys on phone works well. The range is excellent and for the money I think that it is a best buy.

It is worth if if you don't want the talking caller id. That is the main thing i wanted. Everything else is well worth the price.

I have had 2 other 6.0 phones that I couldn't hear the other person very good,I returned them and bought a 6.0 Panasonic from Amazon,it is the best,can hear the other party good and the speaker is also good,the phone was shipped to me fast and in new condition,I am glad I tried Panasonic,good price on Amazon.

Eager to replace my hodge podge collection of phones with an up to date coordinated system. This one certainly did not disappoint me.It was an easy, straight forward set up. I like the style and size of the units.The range is excellent---can take it outside for a good distance and still have service.Battery life seems good but haven't really pushed it---always return handsets to the cradles.Very pleased with the product.

Great phones at a reasonable price. When you have a new voice mail, "New Voice Mail" is shown on the LCD and the charging indicator light on the top of the phone is blinking. Nice feature. The phones have great clarity and range and are easy to set up/program. The only thing I wish they had that they do not is a speed dial feature. That would be a nice addition.

My review is only based on having used for a single call to test it. I purchased it for the times when I am on my telephone with a cord and head-set when I need to leave my home office such as if there is somebody at the door. This is why I have not yet tested it's range from the base. My other cordless telephones of 2.4GHz allow me to use it from a neighbor's home. If this one has more range that may or may not be beneficial. I do not know yet. It is my understanding that this is a much better cordless telephone than my 2.4GHz one but that wouldn't really surprise me.

The listing for this phone is close to deceitful. When I went back I realized how to read the listing. This listing is designed to sell a family of phones. As a result the answering machine feature and the blue tooth feature is listed in the ad. I find it misrepresentitive to list features which the phone does not have. It is like saying "The phone has an answering system" ONLY if there is a check on this page. If there is no answering system, then those words should not be on the page at all. Ditto with the blue tooth. This system does NOT offer bluetooth, there is a footnote to point out that that feature is for a different (not part of this system) phone.I'm disappointed that Amazon has allowed a listing that has to be read so carefully.

After trying three other brands of phones I finally found a system that works for me. I have a VoIP system and either the router or modem was causing the other phones to malfunction. I was missing calls, sometimes the phone upstairs would work and the one downstairs was dead, or the other way around. Since I installed the Panasonic system I've had 0 problems. I heard about this model in an electronic chat room that dealt with interference problems.If anyone is having trouble with interference from your router or modem don't make the same mistakes I did a purchase new routers and modems. Also three other brands of phones 6.0 that advertised no interference.Just buy the Panasonic KX-TG6512B and you will be satisfied.

Now "Wishing"" I would have purchased the 3 handsets unit. An additional handset for the bedroom. Other then not enought volume on the incoming call notice, I'm completely happy with my purchase and delivery service.

Purchased these based on customer reviews and the need to replace an older Uniden set, with key pads that finally went defective!! Very good performance and range, but doesn't quite match the Uniden for top volume level. A family member has hearing aids, and these phones are not as loud. Does have a very vibrant, easy-to-read display. Also, not that hard to setup and the fact of using standard AAA rechargeable batteries is a big plus! Will recommend to anyone desiring a top-quality set of phones.

this was purchased to replace a 3 set panisonic phones that after 3 years and a replacement would cut off. This set has a very loud background hum noise that makes it difficult to hear. I purchase this model becase it was the top rated comsumer reports cordless phone. that is not my experience. Today I call the company to find a solution to the problem. Her reply was it was my phone line. At least the previous phone did not hum. Why would the phone line be affected as soon as I began using this phone? Very frustrated with this product and company would not recommend a panisonic phone!

I purchased this for my parents, who have owned several cordless phones over the years. This was their first experience with a "satellite" phone. They are quite pleased with the phones - ease of use, quality, etc - and have mentioned it to me several times. I give this a 5-star review because of my parents comments. However, when I chose these phones for them, it was because it was already highly rated.

As replacements for older Uniden cordless models, these Panasonic phones feel better to the hand, have larger easier to read numerals and display screens and are intuitively programed. Call quality is excellent and they use standard AAA rechargable batteries. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

The main reason I got this model is because it has a jack for a headset with boom microphone, which I needed for my at-home business. All the other features were secondary to me. I haven't tried them all out yet, but they seem to work ok.

I just purchased this phone to replace a 5 year old Panasonic phone that was outdated. This new phone is good..except I find the sound/volume not as high as my old Panasonic. It should definitely allow you to go 2 bars more for talk volume. The speaker phone volume level is higher than the "talk" volume level. I think I might send it back. I want to hear the person I am speaking to (they say they hear me fine). A bit disappointed with the volume level but all else is good.

This phone I rate as excellent. I was looking for a replacement for my error-prone Phillips 6.0 DECT. I use Vonage VOIP and some cordless phones cause problems with that service. This phone does great with VOIP. Here is my summary:Pros:>Excellent call quality.>Large display.>Call blocking for a limited number of numbers.>Great range.>NO answering system (I have Voice Mail and most phones have one built in. Unnecessary.)>Inexpensive.Cons:>Limited number of blocked numbers allowed [30]. (Not that big of a deal)Note: I would have given this five stars, but I've only had the phone for three weeks.

This phone is the best! Not only is it simple to use, but it has every feature imaginable, including caller ID, answering machine, and household intercom system. And there are no confusing codes. Everything is simple to use and to set up! I have tried others, and this is the best!

This is a good basic phone for the price.Pros +I like the that it uses Ni-Mh AAA batteries. With regular use (About 5-10 calls a day) a full charge lasts more than 3 days (lost only one of three battery bar in 2 days).Speakerphone is loud with no problems with microphone when in speakerphone mode (No low voice at the other end).Cons -As mentioned by other reviewers - contrary to as advertised, this model (KX-TG6511) DOES NOT support talking Caller ID. The manual that came with phone confirmed it for me. However, the phone does support custom ring tones which some what covers for the missing talking caller ID.Top row of three shortcut buttons are small and have no backlight. Its definitely a problem in dark, at least till I get used to the phone.Opening and Scrolling through phonebook and CID is slightly lagged but bot too bad.

I LOVE these phones. Clarity, large letters and numbers, display easy to navigate, programming could not be easier. No complaints. As a matter of fact, when I wear these out, I plan to buy more of exactly the same.Highly recommended for those of us who just cannot seem to give up our hard-lines. These cordless phones ones are great. They even come with something you can put on your belt and walk around the house talking (but I don't use that).

The Panasonic KX-TG6513 expandable digital cordless phone with one base unit and three handsets works perfectly with our phone company's voicemail system. It was easy to set up our phonebook and sync it with the extra handsets, including a 4th unit KX-TGA401 that we purchased separately. I love the large illuminated buttons and the large type on the display -- a distinct improvement over our older Panasonic phone this one replaced. Each handset can be given a customized name, which is useful for making intercom calls between handsets. Clarity is excellent, even in speaker phone mode.My favorite new feature is Call Block (for Caller ID subscribers only) which allows the unit to reject calls when it receives a call from a phone number stored in the user created call block list. Thank you Panasonic.

We love this phone(s). It's simple but has all the features we need and the wireless connection to the satellite phones works great - even in my basement. I tend not to rate the products I don't like so I felt obligated to share my praise for this one.

The Panasonic system solved not only communication in a three story private home via its intercom feature, but also the problem of available phone outlets. You only need to plug the base unit near a AC source and a physical phone outlet and the rest of the other units can be placed virtually any where. The AA NMh rechargeablle batteries are long life, does not have memory like nicads, readily available and cheap. Unlike the specialized battery packs that are expensive and often hard to find in the old cordless system. Other features such as internal programmable phone book, speaker and conference mode all add up to a winner. I highly recommend this system and will purchase additional units for each room in the house.

Good for the price but has some drawbacks, again these drawbacks depends on how much you use those features. Max speaker phone volume is not loud enough, recently called numbers list is too short and the phone doesn't remembers like say last 50 called numbers. I have not done a range check on this phone but I think range should be fairly good. The best part is the battery life, you can talk for long hours on a single recharge. Another cool feature I liked of this phone is that it allows to set date and time manually or automatic (by network). This feature is useful to me especially since I use Vonage and have a east coast number but I live in the west coast and with my previous Philips cordless phone it automatically used to set to EST with no option to choose for manual date and time adjust.

Solid phone for a good price. Panasonic could work on the menu system a bit but a good basic phone. Has really great range and call clarity is top notch. Speaker phone is above average for a phone in this price range.

I have had these phones about a month, no problems so far. The features are great. Call block, separate rings for different groups, clear sound, other options my previous set didn't have (they were the cheapest possible and didn't last a yr). Only time will tell if they last but so far they're excellent.

I am really pleased with this product on every level. But I must admit, the ringing option let me select the most pleasant tone. Previous to buy this new phone, I often fall asleep after work only to be jarred awake by my last phone ringing. This new one gently calls me out of my dreams. In terms of overall electronic quality, the phone is excellent and delivery was really fast.

I didn't realize this until I got it, but this product has no answering machine. Oversight on my part, but it cost me an unnecessary $6 to return it. I returned this and got a similar unit with an answering machine.
