We have used Panasonic cordless phones for years. In our very large house, we found it works better to have two sets - one upstairs and one down, both on the same phone line (upstaris there are 3 phones on the system and downstairs we have two). I see now that there is some sort of booster that would allow us to keep them all on one system but I didn't know that at the time I bought these so I can't say if it would work. A couple of months ago we had to replace the old downstairs set and I liked the new Panasonics that we bought for that, so when the 5-year-old upstairs set begin to show problems, once again I bought this set. We like it very much - many good features such as contacts, mute buttons, speaker, etc. I work from home so it gets a lot of use.

I can't tell you how relived I am to have found this phone!I had an old cordless Panasonic (and I mean old) and absolutely loved it...but I just plain wore it out. I could go out into my yard, about 100' away from the base and still get great reception.As things began to get worn on the phone after 12+ years of faithful service I was forced to buy a few new phones, like V-tech & Uniden and couldn't even go from the base in our family room into the bedroom...and I live in a small 1000 sq/ft house! I even tried another Panasonic but it failed in the same way and was returned. I called Panasonic about it and was told that "even though these 'new' phones had more GHz, or whatever they just aren't as effective as the old ones". I just thought "just like everything else these days".My wife kept on me about getting another phone, but I wouldn't, after buying 3 that were nothing more than frustrating. I was going to hold out util I found a phone that did what I needed it to...and I knew it was possible.Then I found this beauty! It goes wherever I need to go...out to the cars or the garden, inside our greenhouse, out to the goat pen, in my woodshop, and it still sounds GREAT! They have obviously fixed this range problem VERY well!The display is very nice, it has a bunch of ring tone choices, many that are surprisingly pleasant...not so "electronic" sounding if you know what I mean. We have it set now on a very melodic ring that almost sounds like the old regular phones used to, but there are many very "modern" ones as well. The redial lets you look back at the last 5 calls you made, not just the last one, something the other phones failed to do. It is very light, and the replacement batteries are easy to get and less expensive. It holds a charge for a very long time, has plenty of memory to store #'s, even offering 2 different groups you can put them in. The keypad lights with a nice warm yellowish color at night. Headsets work great with it! Very handy "mute" button as well, and the speaker phone functions very nicely.This model (KX-TG6511) has only one handset, but you can get the same phone with two (KX-TG6512) or three (KX-TG6513) handsets.The only thing you may not like is that there is no voicemail feature...we happen to like that very much!!!WE REALLY, REALLY LIKE THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!

This is a phone, it works wonderfully. Really not too thrilling since Landlines are dying out. However, if i were to buy a phone this would be it. Two handsets make it easy to answer calls in two rooms. Can be expanded up to three. The newer version of this phone has additional features. Personally, i didn't need those features so i saved myself some money and got this instead. My favorite feature for this phone is call block. I hate telemarketers so whenever i get one, i add the number to the block list. Only problem is that the phone will still ring once for an incoming call until the phone realizes that its a blocked number and hangs up. Not an issue for me though.The only con about this phone is that its so damn awesome. My previous phone had a delay between hitting the answer button and actually being able to talk on the phone. I am still getting use to the timing of when to speak after i answer the call. This is by no means a problem of the product, its purely user error haha.

After a lot of research when considering new phones I settled on these Panasonic cordless phones as they had the DECT 6.0 and have not been disappointed. The clarity from the phones is great, no fading or cutting out when moving around the house. The bases are small and fit anywhere, the phone key pad is easy to use and the settings are easy to navigate through. The numbers are easy to see, with a very clear and easy to read display. I love the call block feature and will never buy another phone without this feature again, just wish it would hold more numbers!!!! It is easy to set up and another feature I love is that when you put all your numbers into the phone book, which we all know is a tedious job, you only have to do it on one phone and it is automatically sent to the other handsets, genius. There really is nothing not to like about this phone and I recommended to my Dad when he was looking for new phones and he loves it too.

I use these phones extensively. I work from home and I usually spend at least a few hours every day on the phone. There is much to like about these phones. The signal is clear. I love being able to program phone numbers and using the pause function to enter conference call codes. We use a conference call service extensively, and we have several recurring calls set up. Being able to program the conference call codes saves me having to look them up each time. I also like the way the phone works with the phone company's voice mail system. The flashing light alerts me that there is a message, and the pre-programmed vice mail access makes it easy to retrieve the message. I absolutely would recommend this phone to a friend.

I love this phone in that the size is perfect not too big not too small. The phone clarity is great and the display is nice and large. (Being that I do not like to read owners manuals it was great that the phone was very intuitive to use as well.) I have always had good luck with Panasonic products and I believe that streak will continue with this phone.The only grip I have is that this is not a dual voltage phone meaning it cannot be used overseas like many other electronic devices without a voltage regulator. I am assuming this is not an issue for most people purchasing this phone but I felt I should mention is nonetheless for the minority out there. Other then that a great buy....

Seems our family goes through landlines at least once a year, so I am really hoping this time, this phone will last a couple years or even more.So far, I am impressed as the voice quality is superb as it is crystal clear and no hiss like most previous landlines we have had. I like the fact it has bigger buttons and lights up nice at night and it actually shuts off after a certain time, which a lot of landlines don't and will just stay on.Battery life seems really good. I mean we do keep it on the charger quite a bit, but left it off the other day and the battery indicator barely went down. Good battery life is always a plus, even if you don't use it that much. We generally use our cell phones, but we have a landline for emergencies and what not. Seems like they are phasing them out though, unfortunately.I do wish the phones cases came in a different color. Least the option to choose would be nice. I am just nitpicking there.....Only reason for giving the unit a solid 4 stars is due to the speaker phone, which works, but seems as if it could be louder and the main problem is it won't go back to internal speaker, for whatever reason. I know on almost every other landline we have had it would go back and majority of those were cheap phones. This is of higher quality and would expect something like this just to work as every other phone would. Maybe I have a bad one? I don't know, it isn't enough to warrant and exchange and we just deal with the small inconvenience.Very happy with this purchase, we usually get V-Tech or Uiden phones, but this one is a lot better than either of those companies. Then again it should be as Panasonic is well known in a lot of factoring areas of electronics.Now to see if it stands the test of time, which would be a blessing!By the way, highly recommend Prime, as in a year it easily pays for itself 10fold! Thanks Amazon, love you guys!

Excellant sound clearity. Wish I had payed closer attention to the discription thought it had an answering machine hooked to it but it does not so I have to keep my old phone plugged in to get messages when I'm away but it works. I like that it came with two phones as I can leave one plugged in all the time while taking the other where ever I want in the house as a portable without worrying did I forget to put it back on the battery charger base at night allowing me to always have a phone that is charged up. I love that feature. Large numbers and infor buttons so that it is easy to see without glasses. I would recommend this phone if you don't need an answering machine attached.

I think it is absolutely absurd that this phone only has a 2.5mm jack for the headset and not a 3.5mm jack like every major cell phone released over the past 5 years does. So, now, I have to go buy an adapter (or a new headset!) if I want to use the many iphone/android headsets i have around the house. What's further frustrating is that the documentation that comes with the phone and the specifications don't show the phone as having a 2.5mm headset - so there's no way to know before you buy!! i bought the phone with fingers crossed it was 3.5mm and I got unlucky. As for the rest of the phone, I haven't plugged it in yet so I can't comment.

I really like this set. It was such a good price for three handsets. I particularly like the fact I could program a number in one handset and it shows up on the other two handsets automatically. I like the CID and the automated Voice Messaging features. It will automatically call my Voice Message service. And it has a blinking light so I can tell a message is available. I can tell at a glance if my CID registered any calls too. Overall, the user interface is very impressive. And the sound quality is good too.Now my only complaint. I purchased the hands free headset to go with the phones. When I use the headset, there is no voice feedback when I speak. I cannot hear myself speaking. If you have ever done this before, it is very annoying. It's like speaking while being deaf. Feedback to the earphone is essential. I can't believe they left that out. So if you plan to use the headset, you might not be very happy with it.

This phone replaced the older version that was wearing out after five years. It works perfectly,sound is very good and it works when I am two houses down the street. The only cons are 1) I don't love the ringtones available and 2) the call block lets numbers you have blocked ring once. This is slightly annoying but the fact that it lets you block calls from numbers you have received is great. I happen to walk around with the phone in my pocket and usually grap it at the first ring, but I guess that I will get used to getting the phone on the second ring.

In all the important areas -- clarity, range, battery life -- this phone excels.Range: I was able to walk onto another floor of my house and even out of my home and across the street without any interference. This is a big step up from my previous non-DECT 6.0 Panasonic phone (KX-TG5621), which started losing signal if I went downstairs from the base.Clarity: Voices are just as clear as my old, reliable corded phone all the way out to the edge of the phone's range. I found the clarity to be a notable improvement over my previous phone.Battery life: I have not timed how long it takes to fully drain a set of freshly charged batteries, but I've been able to talk for hours with very little drain, according to the battery meter.Speaking of batteries, I'm thrilled that these take the same NiMH Rechargeable AAA's that we already use in our other electronics, so if the batteries do go dead (people do sometimes forget to hang the phone up at night) I can easily swap in a fresh set.My only complaints are:Slow phonebook. For some reason, opening the phonebook takes a few seconds... long enough to make me wonder if I pressed the button properly. Scrolling through the entries in the phonebook is also a bit sluggish compared to my previous phone.HUGE FONT. The lcd pixels are so large that several of my name entries run on to the next line. Nothing crucial, but a bit of a peeve.Annoying ringtones. The ringtones are fairly obnoxious, every last one of them. It's saying something when the least annoying ringtone is "Flight of the Valkyries" (actually, the Vivaldi "Four Seasons" tone is fine, but that was the least objectionable ring tone on our previous phone, so we're kind of sick of it).Warmth while in use. The handset's screen gets noticeably warm (probably the least amount of insulating plastic there), which is right by your face just in front of your ear when you talk on the phone. It's not quite uncomfortable, but it is mildly bothersome after a while.These are relatively minor drawbacks. When you consider what you do get for the price, this phone may not knock it out of the park, but it's still a home run.

I bought these phones used and am very happy with them. They are clear, simple to use and the speaker phone works great. We live abroad and frequently call home and want to share our conversations so the speaker phone option is wonderful. Our friends and family come in loud and clear and they have reported that we sound normal as well. My only issue with this phone is that turning off the ringer is not super easy. You must go into the menu option on each handset and set the ringer off. I would prefer a simple switch on the main base. We get a lot of wrong numbers and unnecessary calls on the weekends and turning off the ringer for nap time or dinner time would be nice but it's not important enough to bother with the menu business, we just take the phone off the hook. Recognizing that most people don't turn off their ringers makes this a personal option and not necessary. Otherwise these are great phones. They look great; they feel solid and have a great range. I will be purchasing a pair for my father who has a 23 year old phone that is beginning to go south.

They made this phone unnecessarily complicated. You need a CODE to turn the ringer on and off, you can't press a simple button or even go into the menu to do it, you need some sort of weird #--- code which I am currently trying to find to turn off my ringer! I can't find the manual and I'm on google right now and keep getting the run around just to find SIMPLE info like this.I've never had a phone where I couldn't turn off the ringer! Ridiculous.And I originally was intrigued by the caller block option, but what I didn't know was that your phone will STILL RING from the undesired number and will flash a Caller Blocked message, so therefore you are alerted each time they call, they will just get a busy signal. It's still annoying.I am looking for another cordless phone, very frustrated by this one!

After trying Vtech DECT 6.0 Expandable 2-Handset Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering Device and Caller ID (CS6229-2) and having an issue with the second handset within a month of buying it, we had to return it to Best Buy for a refund. We decided to try this Panasonic one after reading the reviews here on Amazon, and ordered it ASAP with quick two-day shipping. So far we've had it for about a month with no issues at all. Both handsets work perfectly, as they should. The extra one we use in the bedroom, and has not failed to connect to the line at all on multiple occasions, unlike the issue we experienced with the extra handset for the Vtech phone, which died and failed to connect to the line after only about 2 or 3 uses.A plus with this phone over the Vtech that we noticed after playing around with the settings, is that the ringtones are much better on the Panasonic. The Vtech's ringtone selection was terrible. Both hubs and I listened to each one to decide which one to use, and they were all shrill and annoying to listen to. After trying out this Panasonic model, we both agreed wholeheartedly that this phone has a better ringtone selection that is much easier on the ears. It just turned out to be a nice extra bonus that we really liked, aside from it's good quality and durability thus far.Only time will tell if it will last and serve us well in the long run, but so far it hasn't up and quit on us within a month like the previous phone purchased. We are very pleased.Update 11/09/12: Both handsets are still working well with no problems after months of use. Settings are pretty easy to access and use. Loving our new phone.Lillia~ (Bob's Wife)

I got these for a friend and now I'm wishing my phones would break so I'd have an excuse to upgrade.Top features ...Standard AAA rechargeable batteries.Headset JackWhite back light with a large time display so it doubles as a clock.Alarm setting so it can double as an alarm clock.You can page the phones and it will ring loud even if the ringer is turned all they way down.You can adjust the volume of the ringer as its ringing, great for late night calls you don't feel like taking.I'm pretty sure it can be set to automatically turn off the ringer for a set period each night.Obviously if you want an answering machine you need to buy the version with an answering machine.

i purchased this phone recently and i thought of giving feed back only after using it for few days. now that i have used all most all the options in this phone, i can comfortably give a proper feed back. If you are looking for good battery back up then this is the right choice of phone to select and voice mail access is also good. only thing that didn't work is the name call out option that was advertised in the manual. I tried saving the name and number in the phone but this phone never calls out the name. I was little disappointed and so giving 4 starts though that is not a major feature i was interested when i purchased this phone. Rubber grip on the back of the phone is very useful as my wife talks a lot while cooking and she feels that it's a very good feature. overall i am happy with the performance of the phone and thanks to amazon for 2nd day delivery.

I really like these phones. I have the main phone in my bedroom and have it on ring, the second one is in my office and I have the ringer off, as I can hear when the phone rings in other areas of the house. It is also a second bedroom, so when I have company in here, they won't be woken by a ringing phone.I like that you can program your voice mail number into it and access it just by pushing a number.I like that when I program something into one phone, is it automatically in the other.It has the jack, so you can plug a headphone into it and be hands free which is great for my job.So far, I haven't found anything I dislike about it. I have had it a week or so.I gave it 5 stars and so far, it has lived up to them.

I've had this phone for close to 2 years now and it is great. The sound quality and battery life are very good and you only need one phone jack, so you can install the other 2 handset wherever you want them if there's an electrical outlet nearby. The headset jack and range extender are very useful if you do a lot of talking or want to use the phone in a large house or outside on the porch.The intercom to make calls in the house between phones is also convenient.

Work really good for us since I was looking for a cordless phone that has a good battery life and that has a headphone jack. It has a lot of good features in it, the one that I love the most is the silent mode. Since I use this as a office phone and I have clients on different time zones (sometimes they call me at the middle of the night), I setup the silent mode so that it won't ring at a time range giving us peace of mind that the phone won't ring at the middle of the night.

This is the best phone system for those who have VM. Very easy to use and the added features are getting better and better. The battery level icon is great; the eco mode is new in that it automatically reduces handset power by suppressing handset transmission power when the handset is close to the base unit; the configuration of additional handsets was the easiest ever, and it may not matter to most but the nonslip pad is great when you put the phone between your shoulder and ear. Great buy and value for the price.

These phones are great. My favorite feature is the intercom, since I put one downstairs where the kids hang out watching TV or playing games. Now, instead of screaming my lungs out to get their attention, I just pick up the other handset and call on the intercom. I haven't really tested the battery charge, since each base (big main one and smaller satelite one) plugs in and recharges. Since the phones always go back in the base after use, we don't ever drain the batteries.

For the most part, this phone seems to work fine. The features are good, and I like the larger readable print on the display. The major complaint is that the hands free headset connection fails intermittantly. I use the headset frequently for my longer calls, and it normally works well. However, sometimes I'll be talking with someone, and all of a sudden nothing....I can't hear them, they can't hear me....as if they hung up on me. Disconnecting the headset solves the problem. I first suspected the headset, but similar failures with different headsets confirmed the problem was with the phone.

I like how easily I can block the unwanted callers (adding them to the list) and can easily set it not to ring at night when I sleep which repeats for every night. I can easily turn off that function if I want.It has a really loud ringtones, though I like mine set to the musical one. It has excellent reception when I'm out in the backyard or in the kitchen (base is a few rooms away).The only thing I don't like is that when there is a voice message the light towards the back of the phone lights up or is displayed on the LCD screen. Would like it if the base light could blink like the Vtech phone did. This phone feels of better quality than the Vtech phone I had and hope it lasts.Recommend this phone!

I bought this to replace a Uniden phone system that we had been using for quite a while. The Uniden product worked well but had started to interfere with my wireless network recently so I decided to upgrade. I can access voice mail through my phone service provider so I didn't need a built in answering machine. The unit was easy to set up, the sound quality is excellent, the on-screen menus are straightforward and easy to follow and so far no issues with wireless network interference. Only four stars because the phonebook capacity is small by today's standards

We have used these heavily since we purchased them and they have been great! They charge well, sound great, have plenty of features and have been all around great!We use the built-in directory a lot, which has three different lists, and the only thing I wished could be different would be to allow for each list to contain duplicate items so that we could truly set up our own individual list that sometimes contain the same people. As it is, I use list #3, but some of my contacts are in list #1, so sometimes I have to remember which list someone is in or use the global list. Not a major gripe by any means.

Sounds like product quality is an issue here ... some great reviews some less than great. Price and feature wise (low cost, cordless, DECT eco, headset jack) I thought this was what I needed. It is, but it didn't work. Call quality and sound quality are fine, but my unit was defective in that it would not pick up the call! Kind of a big deal considering this is a phone, and that's 50% of it's job (outgoing calls being the other 50%). i am using the device with an Ooma base station, but have had other phones in the past that work just fine and I don't think that's the cause. For what it's worth, just thought I'd mention it. I recommend the phone, if you get one that works!

I ordered this phone for my home to replace a cordless phone that had terrible range. Much to my chagrin, when I was setting it up I realized that the model I ordered was not an answering machine. I was ready to return it when my brother said - you don't need it becuase your phone service offers voice mail. Aha! he was right. It took no time to set up the voice mail with my carrier.The phone has no static at all, the range is great, the second unit plugs in anywhere in the house and is also clear and static free. I love that I can access the voice mail and caller ID on both the base and remote unit. Each function the same.Great Price, Great Phone!

This Panasonic cordless phone (actually, there are two phones) is a great buy. They were (pretty) easy to set up, and the display is large and readable and the ringtone is distinctive. This is a terrific add-on to our system that covers two additional rooms at a very economical price. By the way, this phone replaced a Panasonic cordless phone that we had had for 16 years.Addendum: A few months later, I have downgraded this product from 5 stars to 4 stars. With a normal amount of use, the numbers and letters on the pads are fading away and are nearly impossible to read. It's hard to know how to protect them; we've tried clear nail polish, but we shouldn't have to resort to this with a 3-month old phone. Very disappointing feature of an otherwise good product.

After I switched to a VOIP service I wanted several simple cordless phones (no answering capabilities). These have worked out well. They are as powerful as any I have ever had. The sound quality and feature set are very good. The screen is large and easily read in the day or night. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a simple cordless phone.

Great while it lasted. Unfortunately, it only lasted about one year. The phone just stopped ringing. I had to check voicemail for all missed called. The speaker on phone also stopped working. When the phone died, it died. I replaced it with an AT&T phone and am very pelased. I used AT&T phones years ago and should have stayed with that brand.

I've dropped this phone at least twenty times or more in the year since we've owned it. The headset jack is a huge plus. It holds a charge for a long long time. I've ran the battery down to zero at least five times and the battery longevity between charges is still very good. I can walk out of my house by about 100 feet from the charging/transmission station and still get very good reception. I wish you could add more 'blocked numbers' to stop annoying telemarketers and political calls because it maxes out at 25. Overall, fantastic phone that earns five stars.

I've had the Uniden DECT 6.0 phones for several years now .. and their range has always been CRAPPY. I couldn't even use the phone in my bedroom, and if I walked even a LITTLE BIT outside, the phone always had to be facing my house/base for me to maintain any sort of connection.BUT THIS PHONE ... is amazing!! I live out in the boonies, and managed to get probably 1/2 a block away before the signal got choppy. My best friend also bought these phones, she has about 5 acres, and was able to get alllll the way to the back corner of her field without any signal degradation (the unidens never made it out there!)While this phone doesn't let you set ringers per person, it does let you set up groups (9) and assign custom names & ringers to those groups, so that's pretty cool.AND .. another amazingly SMART thing they did, the batteries are normal AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries. So, should the batteries stop holding and maintaining charge, just use regular old rechargeables!!! I had replaced (several times) the battery packs for my Uniden, and they never worked as well, and they were hard to find, and pricey. So this is definitely a big bonus for me!I also noticed that it has an 'eco' and 'boost' mode -- the phone automatically detects how close or far it is from the base, and adjusts the power the phone needs to maintain connection. I think this is definitely why my signal has been so good! And, if you're close to the base, it lowers the power the handset uses, to save battery!

I needed a 2-set cordless phone to replace my old Panasonic set. I didn't need an answering machine and I liked that this would be similar to what I was already familiar with. Once I get the handset to turn on, it works great. I use the speaker and mute option nearly every day. I don't have issues hearing others and they can hear me just fine too. However, I frequently have issues with the handset turning on when I'm ready to place a call. The handset often beeps at me and tells me to try again or that it's busy. I have to press the Talk button a few times for it to work. No clue what's going on with that! It's not enough of an issue for me to return it, but it's definitely an annoyance for a new phone.

It was easier and cheaper to replace our old phones rather than replace the batteries (that weren't lasting very long). These are good phones for our house, which is rather small, the sound quality is very good and you can turn off the ringer on each handset. The last is a good feature if one of you likes a phone in the bedroom and the other (me) doesn't like the phone ringing! We like these and would recommend them.

The KX-TG6512 is a great cordless phone for the money. There is a delay if you compare it to a landline/non-cordless but not enough to make a difference. It lights up when you take it off the cradle which is a big plus. Has alot of bells and whistles that I have not tried yet but I'm sure they are easy. Called my sister she said she could hear me with no problems. I could hear her clearly. It's light weight and looks sleek. I ain't tried all the programing and stuff but I'm sure its not that hard. It set the time by itself when I hooked it up to the phone line for the caller id. To display on the phone itself you have to program but that is easy, I did it without looking it up. I charged it before hooking it up to the phone line. Perhaps this is why some are having problems with it gotta charge it first. I didn't even have to put the extra handset on the mainbase it just worked. Some are saying that it doesn't have a hold button but it does the mute button becomes available once you receive a call to the right on top black buttons. The batteries are easy to replace this phone uses the NiMH AAA rechargeable this is a big plus to me.I saws where someone said once you put it on speaker phone it wouldn't go back I had this problem at first but have learned all you have to do is hit the talk button and it switches back to regular mode.

I have a VOIP phone system that doesn't require proprietary phones. I don't need a separate answering machine and good phones without answering machines are hard to find. In my experience, Panasonic phones provide the best sound quality and reliability of the bunch. The ring sounds a little tinny but there are several different ringtones you can choose from. There's also a speakerphone built into the handset. I'm very happy with this phone and the price was extremely reasonable.

I have had a number of cordless phones over the years. This one stands out. The buttons are large, it includes a good backlight and the signal is clear over a very good distance. I especially like the fact that it uses regular rechargeable 1.5v batteries rather than a custom one. These can be easily replaced when necessary. This one may cost a little more than some others, but I believe the extra money is justified by what you get.

i had these phones for a few days when one of them fell and it was not a very hard fall the phone still works but the screen is blank you don't see anything on the screen and to make matters worse i logged into my account to reeturn it or at least get some customer service (repalcement) but it says i cant return it anymore if i return i will only get a partial refund and will have to pay return shipping i expected better of amazon

It is amazing that in this day and age, that it is so hard to find a quality phone without an answering machine. The major providers all bundle message handling so who needs an answering machine? This one thankfully does not have one and everything was easy to set up and begin using. Great range and voice quality.

We recently bought this phone to replace our 3 year old Pananosic cordless phones. So far, the sound clarity and quality is excellent for making international calls. Good buy and I would recommend Panasonic!!!Update: I do want to call out that - it is a bit difficult to add new entries to the address book, and that is the reason I gave a 4 star rating and not 5 star. I knew I should have listened to the negative reviews. This phone worked great and had good quality sound for two days. Then, it malfunctioned and I could not even get a dial tone. It was flashing strange messages like it wasnt plugged in when it was checked and carefully plugged in as it should have been.Worse, I probably deserve a moron award because this is the third panasonic phone I've had trouble with in 3 years. They simply are designed not to last. Do yourself a favor and don't buy one.Who would say this review is not helpful? It's absurd. Beware of Panasonic phones, they will fail very quickly and are designed to fail so you have to buy more.

OK, so this is my second review of this product. Apparently my first review was deleted from the list. It looks like amazon doesn't want to have bad reviews for this product. Let me start from package. Upon arrival the package was opened and not sealed. The second issue is no image on the display of one of handsets. Fortunately it still can make calls but you will not see any information on the display. And the last, when I started playing with the handset with working display in the list of calls I noticed missed calls. It looks like the seller shipped to me used item, That was the most annoying part.I made number of transactions with amazon and this is the first time when I was screwed in this way. I am outside of the US and unfortunately cam't return the item.

I bought this unit because of its call blocking feature, not realizing that this particular model did not have the Talking Caller ID feature that I've enjoyed in my previous model. I thought I'd studied the features in the descriptions but somehow missed it. I wish the feature grid that is drawn up in the instruction manual could be included in Amazon's descriptions of the various models offered.

I didn't need the phone right away, so by the time I started using it, I've had it for some weeks. Now I'm stuck with a non working phone and the return window is over. It worked only right for about 2 weeks. I don't know what is faulty it could be the adaptor. The base doesn't seem to get electricity.

The phone provides a nice large clear display which is easy to read caller ID info letting me make a quick decision as to whether or not I want to answer a call. It is straight forward to add new contacts. The key pad is sufficient size. The volume could be greater and it dials number fairly slowly otherwise I am very satisfied with the phone. Much better than the VTech with a better display than AT&T.

This phone works great when connected to my obi voip device. The voice quality for both normal and speaker phone calls is clear. The headset jack on each handset makes it very useful for conference calls. Also, I actually have 2 of these phone systems in my house hooked up to 2 separate obi devices. I haven't seen a conflict yet in terms of voice quality.An important note is that the headset hack was actually a requirement when buying the phone. I saw no other phones that have it anymore since most companies seem to be moving to a speaker phone only.
