I bought these phones because they were supposed to have a very long range and I have not been disappointed. I take them out with me when I'm working in the yard and have static free reception at a distance of 50 or more feet from the house. My old phones could not do this. Another thing that I like very much is that they don't take a special battery, just regular AAA rechargeables, so when the batteries need replacing it won't cost $30-$50 to do so.

It's convinient, we now have phones in part of our house were the builder had not installed a phone jack. Very Good battery life. Very Good range, I can walk around the house inside and out, and to the mail box (about 50 feet from base) without loosing reception. The sound is very good on the handset and it's good on the speaker phone. It's easy to use; although, some features take a little getting used to. The only concern that I have it's the phones durability, after 7 months of use, one of the LCD Screens you can only see half the letters/numbers rendering it useless.

I like this phone a lot mainly because the sound clarity is perfect and there's a speaker phone. It lacks an LED indicator for voice mail messages waiting to be heard, therefore the phone has to be close by to read the display for them. Can't beat it for the price paid.

This Panasonic has what I demand in a cordless phone; clear, full-toned voice quality (for transmission & reception), back-lit keys that are easy to find and press, caller-ID, message waiting indicator, and standard NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries. The KX-TG6512B has many other features as well, that contribute to the excellent value this phone provides. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased product for the ability to plug in a headset for working. I also found the product to get high reviews in consumer reports. I have had other Panasonic phones and they seem to last longer than Vech or Uniden Phones.

Initially I was very happy with this phone; good sound quality, nice features, etc. But after only 5 months the phone can't get a dial tone and the display said "no power to base" even though it was plugged in and fully charged. I guess you get what you pay for...

It's really difficult to find single land line phones, which is what I needed to replace the one I had for a very long time. This unit is a lot lighter and smaller than my previous phone (which lasted about 12 years), but it's quite fine. It does everything I want it to do and the price was right. I particularly like the easy-to-replace battery feature. I have no idea about it's durability since it's still new. The display is very easy to see and the features are easy to program. I'm am happy to have found it so easily on Amazon.

We bought this phone system to replace one that callers complained they couldn't hear us on any more. The Panasonic has a much stronger signal (callers have noticed), very long battery life (still four bars after a 60 minute call), and a good display. We're pleased.

bought this phone to use with the ObiTalk and my google voice number. Its has a clear display with a clock, simple to use, easy to program numbers and the battery life is excellent. It also uses rechargeable AA batteries instead of some proprietary plug in pack. Its the right price to use with the ObiTalk

Received phone set with 2 phones at the end of February 2012. I haven't mastered all of the capabilities of the phone as yet but so far I'm very happy with the basics. Clarity is very good and intercom and speaker phone comes in very handy. Would recommend.

the phonesystem works well. together with the headphones i bought they are great. my husband is a quadriplegic, so we had to get something he can operate. we are very happy with the phones.plus they have the belt-clip, so i can walk around talk on the phone and do the dishes. and even go outside and it is still clear and easy to hear. we like panasonic products sofar. and i would recommand this to others

Both the base and the satellite phone have been working fine. I don't find it quite as hard to delete numbers from the caller ID list as one other reviewer. Once you are on the ID list it takes 3 button pushes to delete a number. The phones are perfectly clear as far as hearing goes and no caller has mentioned any problems with hearing me. One reviewer puts the phone set down for not having a built in answering machine. That feature if desired can be found on the next model up from this one at a higher cost. I would recommend the phone to others.

The phone was easy to set up and is working like a charm. I must say that I haven't used many of the features, so can only say that it works well for sending and receiving calls. The reception is clear and I am satisfied with the purchase.

I have had these phones less than a year and would not buy them again. They were fine until a couple of months ago. One I can't hear on and can't be heard on. Not the quality of my first set of Panasonic phones I had first.

I am very happy with this purchase and I would recommend this to everybody. Here are my observations:Pros :1. Voice/Call Quality : Excellent2. Speaker Quality : Very Good (Please note that speaker is not in base its in handset)3. Battery : Almost more than 7 hours. (I used it for 7 hours and it was still working for me). Battery runs more than usual with ECO mode. I guess upto 10-15 feets it remains on the ECO mode.Other than that the battery is Ni-MH rechargeable (AAA x 2) which is big plus, so you can easily replace them if needed.4. Mute Button (Soft)5. HEAD JACK : One of the most important feature. You can use this jack to attach microphone and talk conveniently. This is specially useful for long talking or office conference calls. You can parallel task with the help of this.6. Alarm7. Intercom transfer8. Call waiting/transer/consference9. DECT 6.0 PLUS technology : supposed to be superior than DECT 6.0, Though I myself have not compared it with DECT 6.0 phone.10. Belt Clip : It comes very handy when you want to do parallel tasking. Just put it on the belt and use head jack to attach microphone and talk. You can even just attach to belt clip and talk if you find it comfortable.11. Can add additional handset later on.12. Call block.13. Phone Locator : will come handy when you forget.14. Good look : It has got good look good and go well with interior.Cons :1. Limited (only 50) contact and very preliminary (very basic) contact storage. Though I guess we can live with it. But having more contacts and more advanced one like storing multiple against one name would help a lot.2. Display is little bit difficult to understand (Lesser Clarity) But again not so big deal. You get what you pay for.3. Difficult to see the call history [User interface is not that convenient.]In short I am very happy with the purchase and would rate it 4.5

These are honestly the best phones I've ever owned. The 6.0 Ghz range is high enough that it won't interfere with any home networks. My previous phones were 5.8 Ghz and caused lots of strange problems with individual components (modem and router mainly) being in the same 5.8 range together.I'd like to mention that these phones are terrific on their own merits. I have 3 phones throughout the house now, so you never have to walk far to get the call, no matter what room you're in at the time. In the box you receive 1 Base set, which has your digital answering machine, phone locator, etc., as well as the main phone, and 2 extra handsets which you place in any room with electrical outlets. No phone jacks needed for the 2 handsets. The quality and clarity are great! These Panasonic 6.0 Plus DECT Phones deserve the highest rating.

We have used this system for a few months now and are quite pleased. The sound quality and reception are quite good even when we use the speakerphone option. Our calls are always clear. We have not experienced any static or "tunnel" sounds. The buttons are good sized and clearly labeled. Unlike many phones I have used, it is easy to find the "flash" button to answer the call waiting. The phonebook option is easy to set up and easy to use. The display screen is also a very good size so the name/number displayed is not tiny and very easy to read.

I've always had Panasonic phones because they were durable, versatile and the features are easy to use.I recently needed a new landline phone for home and really didn't have time nor want to go the 'Big Box' stores to look, so I took the plunge and bought this one online.Compact, easy to use, good range and easy digital features.I couldn't be more pleased.

i bought this phone 6 months back with having panasonic reputation in mind for cordless phone but I am really disappointed. The phone stopped working after 6 months.I am trying to call customer care through phone/email online chat but no one is responding. I think my $50 is waste now. I will need to look for a better product. Good luck if you still end up purchasing this piece of junk.

I received my Phone promptly then discovered it did not connect with my Caller ID service; also I could not make an outgoing call from the phone book.After much effort looking for a phone number to call Panasonic I found one, called, and then waited to be served. After about ten or fifteen minutes of waiting the line hung up.Because the product was defective, the handbook so complex and confusing, because I couldn't contact Panasonic to ask for help I decided I don't want to do business with people who don't care for their customers. I returned the phone.Kudo's to Amazon for making the return process so easy, quick, no fuss refund, and no charge for shipping it back. That's service.

Great phone, only small complaint is that the ringer isn't very loud. I live a large home with two young children, so it can be hard to hear it sometimes. Other than that, it's a great phone.

The sound is very good, both ways, and the phones seem to work as well as my last set. One feature that is new to me is the ability to instantly silence the ringer when I don't want to answer, or continue to hear it ring.

My older Panasonic phones (4) started to slowly drop one by one. I tried batteries but they were just tired. I even found some used ones to try. Finally decided on a new set (3). They work just fine but I didn't realize they didn't have the call announcer like the old ones. It's a nice feature that I miss. Well almost miss as I still have 2 functioning of that type.

I expected a new telephone system to have answering capability; not available with this Panasonic set. Also the operation instructions were confusing. My son changed the batteries and now my old Panasonic is working fine.

I have had a number of cordless phones over the years, some of them Panasonic. This phone is without doubt the best ever! I cannot think of anyone needing a feature this beauty does not have, unless they want the phone to sing opera and and dance the conga! The voice quality is great. If you need to buy additional handsets in the future, I recoment that you do as I did, buy a second telephone as it comes cheaper than buying individual hand sets. You may then register the new hand sets to the original phone. Not much more anyone can say.

This phone works perfectly. I am happy with this purchase. I would recommend this phone to everyone. Two handsets fit my need. It's difficult to mount the (phone) base on my wall in the kitchen, but it may be due to my wall plate; I don't know. When mounting on the wall, I can only securely use the bottom screw of the wall plate. The top screw (of the wall plate) does not fit in the phone base when the bottom screw completely fits in, and I had to use a tape to secure the top of the phone base instead of using the top screw.

We got these to replace some aging V-Tech phones. I liked the easy setup, the expandability to 6 handsets and especially the range extender. They are a snap to setup if you take the 2 minutes to read the instructions. The common phone book is a nice feature and the best part of all is they use NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries! We all know that phones eat batteries eventually and this will make it a snap to replace them - it's so much easier to find standard batteries than to have to find the specific battery pack / connector combination used by some other phones. Also (deviously) you can raid the handsets if your TV remote control batteries die in the middle of the big game!!! Someone did their homework.

Nothing bad to say about these phones as of yet. Have had them for a few weeks and they work very well. The sound is clear and they ring quite loudly on the highest setting. The talk time is good also! I have not tested the range outside but the clarity in the house is perfect. Would recommend to anyone looking for a simple, easy to use house phone.

I bought this to replace a previous Panasonic phone that after 7 years the screen quit working so caller ID and the numbers you punched in were no longer visible. Operates differently than the previous version but is easy to navigate after a few uses. The battery life is about 7 days standby off the base with minimal use. The battery will last 5 days with moderate use. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and its performance thus far.

Recently I upgraded to the XFinity Triple Play (TV Cable; Internet; Phone). I did not have a land line and had long ago tossed my old phones. Imagine Comcast lowered my rates for 12 months and I added the land line option that includes unlimited calling. Next was to pick the right phone for my needs. After reading the reviews of phones in my price range, the Panasonic KX-TG6512B was my choice and how it has performed. The activation was simple and quick and I highly recommend this unit.

Phone works very well and as advertised. Nice features. Best Buy in CR. In particular, like the jack for a headset (hands free) -- for me it was a big selling point and I'm surprised more models don't offer it.

It would be nice if i can get an easily noticeable flashing signal indicating the presence of a new voice mail.If this is not possible then I would view it as a serious lacking in the use of the product.Our previous phone had highly noticeable flashing red light that could be seen from across the room. Trying to notice the presence of a voice mail by walking right up to the phone only is archaic and lacking in usage efficiency.My wife wants to reconnect the old phone simply because of the flashing signal.I would appreciate if Amazon and Panasonic can meaningfully address this issue. Otherwise I will be accused of making a faulty purchase or I should have checked out the product at a local store like 'Best Buy' where it is easier to return the product if the problen cannot be solved.

This replaced an older, comparable VTech product that was never good enough. Our new Panasonic phones are quiet, have very good sound quality, and better range. They are also relatively easy to program and to use. We don't begin to exercise all the features so can't speak to those, and we've been using them for only 5 weeks, but we are overall very happy with this product. My 4-star rating may be misleading -- these phones surpass expectations, particularly at this price point, so they are 5 stars plus in terms of value. However, they are not especially beautiful to look at and hold and the displays are quite outdated compared to our smartphones, for example. So if those things matter you may be disappointed.

The item arrived sooner than expected, that made for a great start. It is literally plug and play. The screen walks you through the set up and it starts to work right away. It is a great product at a great price and performs better than expected.

Other reviewers have expanded and told more about the abilities and perks and advantages of this phone.Let me simply say this: It works, it works every time. I haven't had a dropped call. I haven't had phone calls come in that aren't showing up on caller ID. It hasn't bungled messages or not picked up when expected. If the directions say it will do something- it does them.This has been a nice phone to have in our home. This is particularly true after we have had several that haven't done what they needed or didn't work as expected or even dropped calls.I would buy this phone again.It is worth every penny.Enjoy.

One thing I like is that the batteries are replaceable. They're regular NiMH rechargeable batteries, size AAA, so when they quit holding a charge they should be easy and inexpensive to replace. Some phones come with a proprietary battery that costs $15-20 to replace.
