Consumer Reports rated this particular cordless phone quite highly and because it also had all the features that I wanted, I purchased the product. I am more than satisfied on the quality and the features this phone has and the easy set up of the phone. I rate this 5 star.

I've always had two issues with cordless phones: reception and battery life. This phone is great on both counts. The main base sits in a back bedroom turned office while one of the extention units is on the other end of my 2200 sq ft "rancher" in the kitchen. The calls are always crystal clear and I have never experienced any static even when I am in the garage or walking around the back yard (about 40 yards through 4 walls and around a tree). I don't really have a good grasp on the battery life as none of the hand untits have ever died. My guess is that they will last at least as long as advertised. I haven't had a 4-6 hr phone conversation so I can't really confirm. This product does NOT have an answering machine in the base. Not an issue for me as I have Magick Jack that puts the messages directly into my e-mail. Great phones, great price.

These phones are great. Easy to setup and get working. Audio is very clear with absolutely no distortion or static. Units have an excellent range. I am considering buying additional handsets to link to the system. Strong recommendation for this product.

I've had the phone a few weeks now and no problems. Easy to set up. If you program a number into one handset, it automatically shows up in the other handsets. My only major complaint is you can't customize ringtones for specific people. Always had a different ring tone for various family members. Other than that I'm happy with the phone.

It does not keep the correct time on the display screen. It will stay for a few hours and then jump ahead 5 or six hours. The min. display stays accurate. I'm sure they don't all do this, but this one does.

When I got it, I thought that it was a good deal. But... The phone didn't sound much better than the old one I had from a Radio Shack that I bought 5 years ago. Still, I decided to keep it just because it was okay and I didn't have any time to deal with it. About 7 month later it just died. It wouldn't charge at all. I called Panasonic just now and I have to send it to them to fix it. I have to go to the PO, pay the shipping charges, and send it to them. I wonder if it's worth my time...

Just got the phone. Very easy set up. The power cord is short so the phone would need to next to a outlet. Has a rubber pad in the back of phone so it does not slip off your shoulder/shirt and belt clip, but no headset. Phone takes 7 hours to charge for first time use.

This is by far the best cordless phone we have ever had... No static, clear voice, very good speaker phone... Has great features such as call blocking from those telemarketers... No complaints, a good purchase.. Oh wait, the clock tends to run slow...

I have an older Panasonic KX.... (earlier model--about 4-5 years old), also a two-handset cordless. Although both are still working, one handset lost its display; and the other is dimmer and harder to see. The new two-handset I recently bought was easy to set up, bright display, big keys, and it picked up automatically the voicemail and other features I have in my older phones! A pleasant surprise. So, all four handsets now are working fine together. The lighted display, feature interface, and key display on the new handsets are much clearer and intuitive to use. I can't comment yet on range (the older handsets still have a very long range outside), or battery life--but from other reviewers I expect these features will also be good quality. Another nice feature is the price came down almost 50% (and with free shipping and no sales tax) via Amazon, compared to what I paid in a local store (also then on sale) about 4-5 years ago). This model also has more features than the older Panasonic, which I've yet to explore, but caller ID is more detailed, and the "call block" feature could be useful. So far, I'm satisfied. Online Web reviews and reviews in consumer magazines rated this phone highly also, which was helpful. I only wish the phones were made in the USA!

this phone came with an excellent set of reviews which convinced me to give it a try. So far (1 month) it has lived up to expectations. Some of the menu functions are not as clear/simple as they could be. The display is very large and readable. The external speaker feature can be set extremely loud, easily heard across the room. charge on the new battery is very good. Handset it good size to pick up and hold while talking. I would have liked the ring and handset to have louder volume settings available, but so far this has not been a problem for myself or my older parents. the clarity of the voice connections is crystal clear - so clear as to be completely unnoticeable, actually.Can't speak to the longevity of the phone or battery, but overall, an excellent phone, far better than most of the other cordless phones I've tried.

I was looking to replace our two 900 mhz RadioShack phones when they started to give us trouble after about six or seven years of service. I did some research and after reading all the good reviews I chose the Panasonic. Boy, I'm glad I did. It's a great little phone. The feature that I was looking for is a phone that uses standard rechargable AA or AAA batteries. Replacing batteries in my old phone was always a chore (and they never seemed to last very long). Either pay the high retail price that the Shack and most other stores charge or try to find the correct one on eBay and then hope it arrives with the correct plug. Rather rambling on about all the great features that the phone has I will just say I'm completely satisfied with the Panasonic and recommend it highly (or any phone in the KX-TG65 series) You won't be sorry, it's a great little phone!

These phones have good audio quality. It is handy to have the two phones is different locations. It takes awhile to get used to having a talk button and an off button as a means of answering and ending the call. So far we have been pleased with these phones.

Panasonic phones have been around for a long time and I still remember using a 900 MHz phone about 15 years ago. Panasonic always delivered the goods, so when it came to buying my next phone, the obvious choice was Panasonic. The phone works great with my Vonage connection and the setrup was a in a jiffy. Highly recommend this phone to anyone out there who are looking to get a new set.

I highly recommend this cordless phone because it has a mondern design, large readable numbers in the bright monitor screen, and is very easy to program. The Sound quality is excellent and the handsets are lighweight and fit the hand well.

We did a little online research and this looked like a good phone. And it has proven to be such. One thing that we especially appreciate is the size of the words on the screen - it is really, really easy for our 50 year old eyes to read. We have also appreciated the relative ease of set-up and the speaker phone. I can easily recommend this phone to anyone in need of one.

The phone would intermittently say "busy" when I picked it up to make a call by pressing the talk button. I then had to return it to the base and hope that I would get a dial tone. The phone would sometimes ring for no reason when no one was calling me. Since I waited too long to return it (past the 30 day return policy of Amazon), I'm sending back to Panasonic for a warranty return.

Okay, I probably didn't read as carefully as I could of but please be aware that this item does NOT include the answering system. That is one feature of Panasonic phones but this particular model does not have it. Count me a little disappointed.

I bought these because one of my old phones didn't ring anymore and I had static issues. So far these are much clearer than the old phones. I bought another set because it's cheaper than buying singular expansion phones.

I'm using this with my Ooma Telo and have no problems so far. I've had it for over a month and the voice quality is crystal clear. I don't know if this is because of Ooma or the actual phones or a combination of both. But they are a better value than the ones that Ooma actually sells.

This phone set is exactly as advertised. Good in every aspect. I use the speaker phone all the time for long periods of time. Battery can last for over an hour at least before returning to base charger. Nice looking, sound is clear and the screen is easily read.

I hooked up the phone, inserted batteries, allowed them to charge, had a dial tone - all was well. Came back to phone next day and the phone and base were not communicating. I followed Troubleshooting steps multiple times, then called Panasonic Support and have been instructed to return the phone to their McAllen Exchange Center at my expense using UPS. All of this over a $40 dollar phone....what a waste of time. Seemingly simple purchase that I now need to run over to UPS, insure, ship back and I'm not sure what is going to happen. I'll fall off my chair if I see the unit replaced in any reasonable period of time, or at all.

As you can probably tell by all the great reviews this is a great phone with awesome features. I use it on my Viatalk service (VOIP) and it blinks when I have a message waiting and Caller ID etc. all work seamlessly as if it was a landline phone. I have been impressed with the features I didn't know the phone had when I ordered it.The only thing wrong with it is the apparent durability. It's a solid little phone and can take a beating, but I think I might have gotten a defective one because the screen on one of my handsets stopped working for no apparent reason. I have since submitted a claim with Panasonic to mail it in for a replacement. I'll come back and edit my review with the results.EDIT:Panasonic replaced the faulty handset in no time. This one has been working perfectly, so it must've been just a bad handset. Still satisfied with the phone and would buy another Panasonic phone without question.

Product works as described-Good value for price.Sound quality --good with Headset,and speakerphone,however audio output from speaker is not as loud as i had expected.People on other side can hear me quite well on all 3 modes-regular,headset and speaker.Difficult to open the rubber covering for inserting headphone jack (2.5mm),may be it will get easy with use.Other features- mute button,well lit display and buttons,battery charge indicator etc.(still exploring)Range-- good,with no static or interfering noises.Easy to install,comes with colored instructions for first time use on the box itself.Will indicate (check phone line) if phone line is not connected or not inserted all the way.When turned on,display says charger for 7 hours before first use.Each handset use 2 standard Ni-MH rechargeable battery,and comes with warning of not to use Alkaline battery.

Have purchased Panasonic in the past and found to be excellent sound quality and range plus very easy to set up. These new replacements for our non-Panasonic phones have a really great display that you can easily read even without cheaters. The new KX units also have substantially better range over the non-DECT older unit. The only rub is that these new generation units take many more steps to both program and to retrieve your messages. The sound quality is just like our original unit and these are very easy to hold vs our existing unit which is pretty large. All in all, easily worth the price and better than most other brands.

We had almost stopped using our landline but after getting this phone, use it a lot more. The audio quality is great even when used as a speakerphone. The microphone is excellent too. I was talking with the phone hooked to my belt with the speakerphone on, and the person at the other end of the line said there was just a little bit of degradation in the sound quality which was great considering the mic was nowhere near my face and pointing away from me. The display is also good with the caller ID showing up in large letters which means that I can read it from across the room.Another great feature is that it uses standard NiMH AAA batteries and I won't have to pay exorbitant amounts for a replacement batteries. The batteries also go a long time between charges.One problem is that the date and time need to be set on each handset individually. It would be nice if only one handset had to be set and the others could get it from that one.

The phone was easy to set up and is as advertized superior sound and speaker and I can use the phone in the yard (a couple of hundred feet away from the base). I am going to get another phone to use in the basement.

Easy setup, excellent call quality, great battery life. I prefer simple, so there are certain little features I could do without. All things considered, you can't go wrong for the price...not to mention two handsets and Panasonic's rep for quality phones!

all of the cordless phones that i have owned have been thrown away after the rechargeable batteries wear out.(usually after a couple of years) i like this phone because i can go to walmart or amazon.com and buy replacement 1.5 volt rechargeable batteries for it.
