Nuts! I fished around for 2 weeks before making this mistake.Excited, I un-boxed these, installed, and put them on. Oh My Gawd, are they terribly uncomfortable!!The plastic-over-foam padding is so stiff there's no padding to it at all. These immediately became an irritant, and because they have absolutely no give, there is no way to escape the discomfort that quickly becomes pain. The pads are big enough that there's no way to put some of the weight forward of the ears, and small enough that they do not go OVER the ears. Also, there is no side-to-side pivot on them, they seem determined to place the entire weight right on the sensitive part of the ear cartilage, whereas I wish I could shift some of the stress to just forward of the ear. No luck at all.5 minutes is my absolute limit with these.I use a Logitech headset at work which isn't all that comfortable, but in comparison are way better than these. Sad! I am immediately relegating these to my junk pile, possibly will see if the wife can make any use of these.

These headphones are excellent for the price, the bass is excellent and they're useful when you want to listen to music with decent "accuracy" and communicate with your friends over skype/ventrilo/etc... They're not the best though, but I'm okay with them.

Este es un muy buen aud?fono/micr?fono. El sonido es muy bueno, se escucha cada detalle de la musica que estes escuchando, si lo usas para hablar/escuchar tambi?n tiene muy buen desempe?o. La voz se escucha claramente y no se producen interferencias de ruido.

I was looking for a nice headset for my wife so she could make online phone calls and video chat and this works great. Easy to set up and only requires a USB cable.

I bought this headset for my new laptop. I've had headsets with mic for laptops for years. I initially started with on-the-ear design, then after trying a number of those I settled with in-the-ear ones, since I found them more comfortable, in a lot of situations produce the same or better sound, and it's easy for those to have a fairly reasonable noise isolation.So this one is a break of my trend for years, yet I really like this headset. It's very comfortable, more comfortable then all on-the-ear headsets I've ever used, yet doesn't cost you a fortune. Most of my less comfortable on-the-year ex-headsets were more expensive then this one.I'm not very sure how the noise cancelling work, but it works great. When I have the headset on and no sound is being played, I can easily hear the surrounding sound, such as those from TV. Yet if I start having some sound play on my laptop, it's clear that it supresses the ambient sound. Not to a point that you can't hear it at all, but it really enhances the content being played on your computer.I can't hear the sound from this microphone by myself as I'm the one using it, but my mom told me that the sound quality is better than the one I used before.Although I'm a user of Windows Live Messenger, I don't use it to "call computers" too often, so the in-line call botton isnot too useful for me. Yet the in-line volume control is still nice, and from my observation it directly communicates with Windows 7 that changes the volume setting on Win7.I really like this headset. It's a bit pitty that it's a USB headset so I can't use it to watch TV or non-computer activities.

I originally purchased 5 of these headsets from Amazon to have a 2 way conversation during a webinar at 5 different locations. We wanted to have audio from the computer speakers as well as the headset and be able to communicate with the other sites. We never could get them to produce audio from both. We returned all for a refund. They would probably work great for a live chat.

These are well made, they are tough! (ear cups do fall off sometimes) but they snap back on easy! block out most sounds, usb makes hook up fast!lots of bass! while gaming they really sound great! and mic is very clear!but after about an hour they really hurt my head (not ears so much) but the side of my head-almost like a vise is mashing my head- and i have a small head! and the top has no cushion so top of head feels pain after awile also- these would be great if not for my aching head-

I've had this headset for a very long time. I should have taken care of this but sadly I didn't, so the mic part is not working well anymore. Although, the sound quality is really good. I can feel the bass when I just use this as headphones to listen to music and everything else. I recommend to anyone who's looking for a good working headset. Get this or an updated model. I strongly advise you take care of the headset and if you do, you'll have a prolonging headset for years to come.

This is a very solid pair of headphones. I like it, it fits snugly around my head. The voice quality through the headphones is very clear, the mic quality is also pretty good. I have had no problems with this set, works like a charm every time. I primarily use it for skype calls and such.

Warning these headphones DO NOT work on MACS! No where in the description on Amazon was this mentioned so I being a Mac user naturally "assumed" they would work on my Mac. When I received the headphones I opened the package & plugged them in only to find they DO NOT work! Now I can't return them because I opened the package - very disappointing.

I ordered the lifechat because of its low price and customer satisfaction. Add one more customer to that list, because I love this headset. Although this is only my first headset, I can say that other reviews are pretty spot on. I'm running windows 7 64-bit. Set-up was easy, plug and play, although a set-up cd was provided. The usb cord is longer than I need, about 6 feet long. There are designated right and left ear muffs, but wearing it the opposite way doesn't seem to be uncomfortable. The mic is positioned on the left ear as well as the wire that connects to the computer. The mic is adjustable and comes with a foam piece that filtered background noise when i talked into it. The earphones wrap around your ears and provide semi-noise cancellation. The bass is deep and sound is clear. There's a built in control that controls the volume, mutes the mic, and another button that lets you make calls if you have live messenger.After a few hours of wearing the lifechat headset, I started to feel discomfort around the ears where the cushion rested. Although other people have said they don't feel any discomfort, this is something to note. Even if turn the volume down all the way on the control of the headset, you can still hear some sound if your movie player or music player has its own volume control.Overall, for the price of the headsets, this is a really great buy. I recommend it if you're on a small budget.

The sound coming out of these things is pretty phenomenal for a relatively cheap headphone. I wish manufacturers would test their products before shipping them out. And I mean more than just 15 minutes of listening. Unfortunately, these things kinda hurt your ears after not very long. I could see using them for short video/audio chats, but not for listening to much music....

I use this all the time to record things at work and it is great. Crystal clear voice recording the first time, I have never had it pick up a single background noise. The earphones for playback are also top-notch, it has great sound. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice headset with lots of uses!

We normally know of Headphone Mic sets that are made in china and last just a couple of months before something terribly wrong happens to them.Most often it is some loose juncture or the sponge on the mic or headphones that gives away and leaves you with no other option but to buy your new headset with mic.Microsoft Life Chat LX-3000 is an answer to all your problems.The headset is very very comfortable on the ears, extremely sturdy for rough and tough use and the audio and mic quality are good and will last you long.On one occasion the Headphone fell on floor and one of the ear pieces on the set was out of place.I though that it was the end of journey for this item.But No, all i had to do was just pop in the hinge and the headset is as good as new.This is an example of the sturdy built of the headset and mic.The price at which it is offered is great and good for your regular use.The unusual feature of this headset is that it connects to your USB slot rather than your Mic and headphone sockets.This item will last long for you.

This product works well. the only reason i give it a 4 star is because the headsets, work a little too well. When the headsets are on, you cannot hear what's going on around you and can't hear myself speak. Sometime, i found that i was raising my voice to hear myself and the person on the other end would hear me yelling. i would still recommend this one as it is a great product.

I was looking for a good set of headphones for a reasonable price, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of what I was able to get for less than a third of what I'd pay at the store down the street from me. I haven't had to use all of the features of this LifeChat headset, but the sound quality is a big step up from what I've been used to. Delivery was four business days for standard shipping.

One day, the microphone would start sporadically cutting out. This was due to a wiring problem. Other than that, the mic and speaker quality was pretty good.

If you are looking for an affordable usb head set, look no further. I use these headphones for Absolutely everything on my computer. From gaming, to voice chatting, listening and producing music. For around 20 bucks these are amazing headphones.Pro'sSound claritycomfortease of use.Con'sThe mic mute button is frustrating, personally i never mute the mic, and if I want to lay in my bed whilst voice chatting often times the mute button gets pushed, only a slight draw back.Over all great headphones, strongly recommend them either for music listening to music, gaming, or even recording something like a pod cast.

In a sentence: These are the best quality headphones I have ever listened to before.Don't discount this headset because it may look a little cheesy, and the fact that it's made by Microsoft, a company that does not specialize in audio hardware, or even hardware.I had upgraded from my previously favorite Logitech ClearChat Premium PC Headset, which I had loved for years until the cable began to short out.This inexpensive USB headset blew the headphones out of the water when it comes to audio quality and comfortability. The ear cups fit over my ears perfectly and are very comfortable for wearing over several hours. The audio quality is awesome, and when I listened to the virtual barbershop (google it), I get chills because of how realistic it sounds. The headphones isolate sound very well, especially if you tape off the vent holes on the side.The only complaint I have with the audio is that it does not get as loud as other headphones/earbuds, but where it lacks in volume, it makes up for quality; and for me, it's totally worth it.For less than $25, it's worth every penny.

this headset is amazing. It is very durable and the sound quality its great as is the voice quality the one and only downfall to this product is that the headset is a little uncomfortable around the ears and it is a little tight on my head but other than that the product is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone!!!
