This is the most uncomfortable headset I've ever worn. Some freaking Chinese assembly worker installed the wiring backwards because it sits awkwardly around my head. If I flip the headset around (right earcup over my left ear and vice-versa), it feels fine.No quality control!!!

I have always used logitech but seen the good price on these and wanted something for voice-chatting while gaming and these are better than expected. Great audio and mic is right on, never had to adjust the output.

I returned item as it did not work on my windows 7. When I plugged it in and installed the software, there was no sound at all

Have owned this headset for a couple of years now, I do not use it too often, but when I do it works great and the sound quality is surprisingly good. There is a lot of base on these, and every single frequency sounds decent, and the microphone is also pretty good. It doesn't pick up abstract sounds from far away, and usually doesn't pick up breathing, it just picks up voice most the time. I'd recommend this to anyone over those overpriced $40-$100 headsets that don't sound that much better, but are more just a way to make you spend more money than necessary.

This is the best headset I've had so far! I usually get the least expensive model, this time I spent just a little bit more & got much more value for the extra dinero. Excellent sound in stereo earphones & good to excellent vocal reproduction when using microphone (Skype calls). Absolutely well worth the money! I'd be happy to buy again! And the headset is adjustable & very comfortable and the earphone padding keeps unwanted sounds OUT but do not make my ears sweat. Yes, I'm very satisfied with this product.

I bought this headset about a month ago, and it broke within 2-3 weeks. I am very mad, it keeps cutting out the sound. Also, in order for it to work you have to disable your main speakers, a real pain.

I purchased this same headset when the product line was new about 5-6 years ago, it lasted me almost 2 years until I tried to fix it when it wasn't broke. Found it out there again (for significantly cheaper now) and I had to jump. It's a good headset. Clear mic and good sound. The pads fit around your ears, stays comfortable for hours. I use it for gaming and telephone.

Let me start by saying that headphones/headsets are impossible to review because it boils down to use them and see if you like them. Sure, you can talk for hours about the technical aspects of them and make as many points as you want, but the most important aspect of a headphone/headset is, am I happy wearing them? You can spend a lot of money and swear by the quality of the highs and lows, and the noise canceling feature, which is great. But if you cannot wear them because they are not comfortable, then you just throw your money away.And that's the problem. We all have different ear sizes and shapes, so what it is good for me, won't necessarily be good for you. This particular set felt a little uncomfortable at the beginning until I found the correct way to use them. Once I found it, I can use this headset for hours without even noticing it.If you are looking for sound quality, I am no expert, but I have no complains either. I use them at work all the time for conferences and to listen to music and podcasts, and I don't have a problem with the quality. But more satisfying is that they are comfortale for me to wear. That might not be your experience.

I googled "Sturdy headset" and eventually found these recommended on a forum. I needed a sturdy headset because I keep destroying every new set I buy. These are not as great as I would have hoped. They are comfortable enough, not perfect, but I do wear them for hours without much discomfort or complaints. Sound and mic quality are okay. The major complaint I have is that the cord is not long enough and I do not like the in-line volume controls. The in-line controls are very bulky and get caught on my desk very easy, and I can already tell that this will be the first thing to break on this headset. All in all, not bad for $20, but not as sturdy as I need.

I am extremely satisfied with this product. I use it mostly for work and occasionally to listen to music. The product works great with Skype as well as Microsoft Lync. If you need a good product to use for communication/ teleconferencing sessions look no further. This unit is very comfortable, and produces very good audio. The head set is able to muffle out most of the ambient noise allowing you to hear everything without problems ( perfect for office environment). I have not received any complaints with issues in regards to the microphone, as is typical with a lot of similar units. I would definitely recommend this unit. The build quality is great and for the money you cant find anything better, yes it does get slightly uncomfortable after extensive use... but I don't know of any other unit in similar category that isn't.

This Headset is very good. High Quality sound, Beautiful Microphone quality, but if you drop this thing one too many times, it will start to break, but it will keep on going even after that. The one I'm replacing has exposed wire in 3 places, the microphone is dead, but not the earphones, so if you're looking for phenomenal earphones with a bonus, along with a great price, this is your product.

I use a headset almost everyday to chat with my friends, and I bought this one after a headset that I had for a year started acting up. The mic is amazing, people comment on the great sound quality. That is really the only plus side about this.The mute button is positioned so that if I happen to touch that area (which happens when I move my laptop, sit up, lean over, etc) the mute button will activate and the listening party will think I am incredibly rude.The headset is very heavy, the pads are very big, and they are comfortable UNLESS I wear glasses, which will just make very painful ears after 30 minutes or so.I would have been content with the headphones and made sure I wore contacts everytime I had to use them, except I bought these Sept 22, 2011, and first week of Dec 2011, they're already broken. The wires inside I guess have crimped and the mic isn't picking up sound anymore. I would not recommend this item.

Not a fan of microsoft and I hate giving them a penny more than I must, but I have to admit this is a great headset. Bought it ONLY because the Amazon price was such a deal. Comfortable; sound quality is excellent.

I have used these headphones for years, as my family owned a pair that we shared. As I just moved from home, I bought a pair for myself. These headphones are *wonderful*! The sound is rich and crisp, with deep bass and lovely abilities in the higher ranges. If you want to hear a comparison, go to Best Buy and try a pair of $99 over-ear headphones. It's the same quality, these just happen to be cheaper. The microphone is also great for the price, and can be adjusted as needed. The set is as comfortable as you'd expect- nice ear cushions, but the headband part can give you a headache if it's too tight or you wear it for more than a few hours without a break. (To solve that problem, wear the set upside down or around your neck. Sound quality diminishes, but it's headache-free!) This set is very durable and can stand quite a bit of abuse. The only (small!) downside is that it's very easy to accidentally bump the mute or volume buttons located on the cord, but it's not a big deal.In short, these headphones are awesome, especially for the price! I wish they made them for iPods and similar devices- I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!

Made for a small child; squeezes like a vice.Microphone quality is very good, but if you don't want it in front of your face all day then it's a pain, because it's difficult to position up out of the way.

Works very well BUT the cord is fragile...it bends easily and gives a "snap-crackle & pop" sound; so they DO NOT LAST LONG! :( It would be FANTASTIC if MS addressed this issue because it SUCKS having to re-purchase every 7-9 months; but then MAYBE THAT's THEIR OBJECTIVE!

Got the headset follow instruction to install the software, it was good and clear but only one use than it is dead. I really like it since the sound was very clear, but now it does not work and I have to return for refund. The quality should be much better then this, it was pretty dispointed.

I've been using this headset for 2 years now, and it's been without a doubt a top notch headset. The quality of the material it's made from is very good, and lasts a long time unlike some other headsets which break down after a year or two of wear and tear. I use this headset for my online radio show called "Tha Jackals Head" and another show I produce, and co host called "Outtasite Radio" both can be heard on www.psn-radio.com and I've told all the hosts on our station to get this headset, and so far just about 40% of the hosts on the station own this headset, and everyone has given me nothing but glowing reviews on the headset.For the price folks you will be hard pressed to find a better headset then this one.

I should have listened to all the negative reviews...Design-wise, the headset is great. It has all the features and probably more than your average USB headset.Unfortunatley, after a few months of use, the headset is broken. I can still hear the sound but the microphone does not work anymore.

I purchased these headphones to use with Skype and found the sound quality to be nice enough that I now move the mic out of the way and listen to music while I work. The only con is that they fit a little too snug on my head that they can become uncomfortable after long periods of non-stop use.

Just everyday guy doing a review. This product is aimed at normal, not techy, individuals. So I am just the right guy to write this review.Pro:WorksCon:Not comfortable at all for long(5+ min) conversation. Your ears just start to get hot and sweaty. The padding on the ears are not soft at all. Plus, there is not headband padding on top.Mic position is rather difficult to adjust.Mic is default at 0 Volume. People have to figure out how to turn up mic volume because the volume button on the line are the headphone volume.Mic is really quiet from what other people have told me.Good luck if you are buying this product. I do not recommend it.
