Update below: I bought this card last summer but this is only the 2nd time I have used it. I took about 300 pictures during a photo shoot and reviewed them in camera and all was good. When I transferred them into Lightroom, about 2/3 of the pictures were corrupt. I ran some recovery software, but did not get everything back. Very dissapointed and although I think the card is probably ok now, I am not willing to take a chance. I have taken a total of about 20,000 pictures and this is the first time I have ever had a problem. Will stick to my transcend cards from now on.Update: Updated my rating from 1 star to 3. Kingston contacted me based on this review and their tech support is great.They are willing to replace the card. However, I am still required to send the old card back, free of charge, to Kingston via Fedex and won;t receive the new one until they receive the old one. Seems like a lot of trouble (for me) and expense (for Kingston). The cost of shipping back is likely more than the worth of the item. The pain in the butt factor is fairly high for me since I have to package the item and find a fedex facility to ship from. Oh well.

Prior to the purchase of this item ("Kingston 16 GB Class-10 SDHC card"), I have bought several other Kingston memory cards, including the Kingston 16 GB Class 4 SDHC and Kingston 8 GB Class 4 microSDHC Card. They were all reasonably priced, and performed up to specifications. So I never had a problem with Kingston - until this time.I benchmarked the Kingston SD10G2 card upon its arrival. The result I got was so appalling that I have to re-run the tests on two different computers to confirmed it: This so-called 'Class-10' card is actually much slower than any of the 'class-4' SDHC card I have ever tested before!- When writing small files of 1MB each, the speed of this card is painfully slow at just 0.8MB/s- When writing larger files of 5MB each, the speed increased to 4.9MB/s(see the screen capture I uploaded to Customer Images section for details)- Only when writing a huge file of 1GB size, the speed finally reached 10.7MB/s.In contrast, the Transcend 16GB TS16GSDHC10 (which is also classified as 'class-10') delivered 9.9MB/s when writing 1MB files, and 12.8MB/s for 5MB files. In fact, even my previous Kingston 16GB class-4 card gave much better results of 3.7 and 8.0MB/s, respective.In order for a SDHC card to be marketed as 'class-10', it must have a sequential read/write speed of at least 10 Mega Byte per second. This Kingston card barely meets the requirement under the most optimal test condition. However, when used in a digital camera (either point-and-shoot or SLR), this so-called 'class-10' card actually performs much wosre than a typical class-4 card.As of this writing, you can buy other cards (such as the HP 16 GB Class 4 SDHC) for less but get better overall performance than this Kingston card. When I got my new Galaxy s3 a couple of weeks ago, i just transfered my old SD card from my inspire to the Galaxy. But a couple of days into it I started realizing i am needing more space to store photos, etc. This is a great SDHC card for the money. I haven't had a problem with it and it came on time.

I bought this memory card for a Sigma camera, of which I have three: DP1, DP2, and SD15. They all take SD cards. All three rejected the Kingston card right out of package, displaying an error message. I called Kingston. They said that their lifetime warranty applies only to supported devices, of which they have a list on their website. According to the list, of Sigma products, they only guarantee that their 2GB SD card will work with Sigma DP1. That's it! For every other Sigma camera, and for every other Kingston card, their warranty does not apply. I have used several other 16GB SD cards from other manufacturers: Transcend, Patriot, Sandisk. They all work fine, in fact I never had any compatibility issues with any device or memory format. The worst part is that Kingston doesn't provide this list of compatible devices on the Amazon product page; not even a link to the webpage. So unless you have an explicit statement from Kingston that your device is supported, the card may not work and you are on your own.It also doesn't help much that the Amazon refund policy is less than stellar. After I bought the card, it sat around in its packaging unopened for a couple of months, until I needed the card and discovered that it doesn't work. Although 30 days have passed, I thought I'd try and give Amazon a call after I called Kingston. They heard me out and promptly sent a return label my email. I sent the card back the next day. A week later they processed the refund. Without a word to me, they subtracted $4.00 for reason unknown, and $8.00 for return shipping. I could have mailed the card back for less than a dollar. As a result, I got less than half of my money back.Lesson learned. I'll never buy another Kingston product, and will take extra caution when dealing with Amazon.

It holds 16 gigs but the only reason to buy this would be because of the Grade 10 rating. If you shoot high quality sports images in quick succession or use your cameras video feature you will have no problems. The grade 10 allows for fast writing capabilities and no lag times.

I was excited when I received my memory card in the mail for my phone, but it did not quite meet my expectations. for some reason, my sprint LG phone says that the card is damaged, while it still works with my phone for some things. It now allows me to take pictures with my phone to store, and it stores stuff on my phone, but I still cannot receive or send picture messages to people. not sure if it is the card or my phone or both.

Many cool pictures were lost and I lost points as I provide technical support (so any technology issues are my problem) :-) Other cards have worked fine in her Nikon so it doesn't seem to be the camera and now I see that plenty of other people are having issues. I've used Kingston Memory in computers often, but it seems they didn't do a good job with this batch of cards. I thought I was safe going with a company where I had name recognition, but apparently not.It was a bummer because my sister was in town and we don't get to see her often, and the boy will not have another 1st trip to the petting zoo (though he will have more trips). I work in I.T., so I back up our photos as soon as we get home to our file server (which is backed up), but the pictures just never made it home.

I must say the product its self is amazing, but thats to be expected from a high class memory card. For any of you who are intrested in photography i highly recommend this item to you, its fast really fast so you dont lose anytime in between pictures of those easy to miss opertunities that you get after a picture is taken and everyone relaxes into more natrual poses. Of course you have to have a good camera to go with it, I put this bad boy into my Sony Alpha Nexus 5 SDLC camera and the combination of the 2 togher i never miss that perfect opertunity while waiting for the picture to write to the card!! Plus another bonus is the fact it arrived in less than a week!! and it was coming overseas to an APO address wich usually take a few weeks to arrive! All in all I have to say that this is a great product that I'm very happy that I have bought.

I must say the product its self is amazing, but thats to be expected from a high class memory card. For any of you who are intrested in photography i highly recommend this item to you, its fast really fast so you dont lose anytime in between pictures of those easy to miss opertunities that you get after a picture is taken and everyone relaxes into more natrual poses. Of course you have to have a good camera to go with it, I put this bad boy into my Sony Alpha Nexus 5 SDLC camera and the combination of the 2 togher i never miss that perfect opertunity while waiting for the picture to write to the card!! This little assortment of storage worked great. I have some microcomputer applications that have different storage, and this allowed me to move data between them and my desktop computer.I recommend it.
