I bought this to replace some parts in an older setup and it works perfectly. I am having no problems with it since the installation.

This drive was received on 8/23 and installed the same day. It is now 10/05/2012 and for at least the past two weeksWindows 7 is reporting "bad block" errors. I have run chkdsk numerous times to try and correct the errors. Thebad sectors are "spared out" but the drive continues fail with different faulty sectors. In other wordsthe drive is bad. As the Amazon return window has expired I will need to hassle with themanufacture to obtain a replacement.

Recommend highly, miles ahead of Samsung drive that crashed after four short years of use, old drive was always noisy and started to fail on boot.

I love this hard drive. I couldn't find it anywhere for less. It packs a huge memory capacity and is half the cost of other sites. Thanks!

This drive was installed as a backup drive to an existing computer. It was very easy to install although I didn't have the proper cables and had to buy them.

A very quick Google search and 3 or 4 clicks in Win7 formatted this OEM hard drive, and it's rocking and rolling w/oa hiccup as my Steam Library. No problems, no noise, no complaints at all.

Bought it as a second hard drive to hold all my music and pictures. works great. had it in one computer it died so put it in a new one and still works great. never had any issues with the hard drive. great product for the price.

Until now, I prefer to update my system adding more 500GB hard drives insted of those with more capacity like 1 or 2 Terabytes, just in case of a failure or faster search of files.I have always trusted in WD brand.

This drive installed easliy and performs perfectly allowing me to run both XP Pro and Windows 7 Pro on my desktop computer. I would recommend it to anyone.

So far the harddrive is working as expected. No problems have been noted. I installed Windows 8 quite fast and everything is good.

I have built and repaired hundreds of computers over the last 15 years and although I have tried other brands of hard drives, I keep coming back to Western Digital. I have had fewer problems with theirs.

I arrived as expected and came in excellent condition but the only issue I had was that I had to format the HDD and it required that I install it onto a desktop.
