Time will tell on the Blue WD. I would like to have longer warranty. The Black is well made and longer warranty.

Replaced a 250gb drive 5400 rpm with this drive. What a difference. Faster in all respects. No problems using Western digital utility that swaped Operating System and all data.

I replaced the 200 GB hard drive on my older HP desktop with this 320GB hard drive. The ease of installation was amazing and since I had the original OEM install disks, reinstallation of the OS was incredibly easy. I recommend this hard drive to anybody!

I have it installed in the www/FTP server and it functions great with not problems and it has good heat handling tooIt has been running in server for 1 year approx. with no problems

I bought this hdd to replace my older seagate 320gb hdd as a boot drive. So far I have no complaints about it. I didn't really notice any speed increase over my previous drive but that isn't why I bought this anyways I purchased it for the capacity. It is a great drive so far and I hope to get many years out of it.

Meh, can't really complain. I wish I had looked around and waited a bit though. I found a 500gb hard drive for cheaper a few days after ordering this.Nonetheless, it's not a bad deal.

Decent price, good drive. I guess maybe it matters how you hold your jaw when searching Amazon for drives; the same drive can be found here at Amazon for about ten dollars less. I use these WD Blue drives exclusively in personal and customer desktop builds because they're quiet, cheap, and reliable.

Oh man. So many gigabytes. I put music, and all kinds of games onto this hard drive. It sits in my computer.OH MAN SO MUCH SPACE.If you are looking for a sweet internal hard drive, and lots of gigabytes for a low price, search no more because western digital has ponied up for this cowboy.Did I mention all of the gigabytes?

Western Digital, couldn't say more. Owned 3 Seagate HD's, all failed within 3 years. All drives saw moderate to heavy usage, but all 3 failed within 2 yrs. Own a Hitachi 2 TB for almost 2 yrs, still chugging along. Recommend spending the extra $$'s and buy WD. With the sata 3 including mobo, saw very nice performance increase. If u can afford it, buy WD Black, 5 yr warranty could pay for itself IMO.

This is the greatest improvement I have ever done to my old Dell computer. I run IDE, so I purchased a adapter from Amazon, from SATA to IDE. Everything worked just right. I read "how to install articles" on line, and it installed perfectly. I was ready to send back hard-drive because of the SATA connections. Really glad I didn't send back. I have lots of huge game files, was running 3 hard-drives, now down to just one. Western Digital the best, lots of information and back up programs to work with the hard-drive conversion. Other reviews of this hard-drive helped with the installation process.

I purchased this for a new build. It has been working fine since I purchased it. I was an idiot at first and didn't realize I hadn't formatted it, so i thought i got a faulty drive; after formatting, it worked like a dream.Its not as fast as an ssd by any means, but it holds the extra junk that would take up precious space on your ssd wonderfully.It doesn't come with a sata cable, so be aware; If you dont have an extra sata cable around, you will need to buy one.

Works great. My only problem is that I haven't found anything out there to really push it. I put all my games like WoW and the Old Republic to their highest settings. It's been a year and I'm still happy with it. Still going strong bought more.

WAS NOT 500GB- WAS ONLY 465 GB - WHERE IS THE OTHER 35 GB's ? IN THE MAIL ? HARD DRIVE CRASHED UNREPAIRABLE - WENT TO WAL MART BOUGHT ONTHER ONE THIS ONE HAS A WARRENTY - THIS VENDER OUGHT TO BE TARRED,FEATHERED, SET OUTSIDE IN THE COLD NAKED - I WILL NOT RECOMEND NOR BUY FROM THIS VENDER AGAIN - WILL EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT USING AMAZON AGAIN - I LOST $60 ON THIS DEAL .
