Великолепно
Been thru a lot of hard drives and it is hard to beat the western digitial line. I am not sure if this one survived a total motherboard meltdown or not yet but if it didn't it is not the drive's fault.I will update this when I run it through some more tests and if it did survive there even tougher than my previous expirence indicates.

I purched this because I was building my old computer and didn't want the old hard drive in it . I distroyed the old hard drive so none of the information could be retrived. this hard drive fit the bill perfectly...

As a computer repair business owner I have to let customer demand limit my choices in inventory. I have purchasing the blue line for a few years now and have to say that reliability has been a huge issue. I have been buying WD drives since they used to have a 5 year warranty. Now it is either 1 or 2 years. You will only get about 25 months on one of these drives. Of course there are drives which have much greater life expectancy, but hard drive prices have really spiked in recent months. Therefore, against the better judgement of myself, the professional, my customers demand the low grade hard drives as it is half price of the more reliable.One other note - like other amazon bare drives, the packaging is completely inadequate to protect the drive from the rigors of shipping. If you really really need one for a job - better order 2. I have had to return several hard drives shipped from amazon in this inferior packaging.The blue seems to be a set up from the green, which I have found to failing at an alarming rate; In terms of both seek times, reliability, and overall performance.

i would have chosen a 5 star rating, but it didn't come with the lock in thing for my computer, therefore i had to build something to keep it in place when connected to my computer.

works as advertised. a solid drive at a good price. wish i had room in my budget for the 1tb model but this is more than enough space for the average user.

...I find the hum of the unit louder than expected. I understood the tradeoff between decibels and performance, but find this to be louder than expected. The unit is all Sata Gen3, but in hindsight I should have opted for either a different vendor or given up some performance for WD's less noisy options.

I have an older dell that I use as a server for iTunes and pictures throughout the home. Like most older systems that have a bios restriction this is the Max size for my dell. Works well so far. I have multiples of this drive and it is as fast of response/seek as my dell will utilize. . Pretty good choice for older dell computers.

Very happy with this WD HD. The quality is good, and it came packaged quite securely. The speed is nice! A good value (when prices don't go crazy on HD's).

Needed a simple cheap hard drive for my build so I got this one and it works great. I have got to say though with windows 8 you have a very short boot time with or without an ssd.

I was looking at the 1 TB Black drive, but most reviews said it was freaking loud, So I grabbed this instead.It is quiet and fast on burst speed and average read speed wise. It's pretty close to my new VelociRaptor in average read speeds according to HD Tach.And so long as it doesn't just randomly die on me in the near future, I will say it was totally worth it.

I went with Amazon.com based on reviews that they now cushion the hard drive box with special packaging, and free super saving method of shipping being the most gentle, even though Amazon's price is higher. Who cares about price if something delicate is ruined in shipping? In any case this hard drive is running quiet and perfect with no problems this long, means there should not have been any mechanical damage done to it while in Amazon.com (Amazon.com and not an affiliate) hands, and it was treated with the extreme care such very delicate devices require. Unlike some things throwing these against a wall - type of damage with insufficient CUSHIONING won't be good. Since I am more concerned with reliability than speed, is the reason I chose this model at the time. After Partitioning and formatting, this is the main drive of a newly built i5-2500K 16GByte Computer, and it was all I could afford until I can afford to get the operating system running on a Solid State, but whatever the load time for Windows 7 is is OK for me.I am so happy Amazon.com fixed their "Hard Drive Problem" - the right way by shipping them properly (little plastic inserts) for the electro-mechanical devices they are. Be sure to pick the most gently-handled (non-throwing) shipping method too in my opinion. Bottom Line is I'm happy.

The hard drive is a direct replacement for a faulty drive that was in a HP computer. It is a better drive than the one it replaced as it is faster and more reliable.

Much better drive then that found in the OTS system my buddy had, I bought this to complete his upgrades to his OTS system. He used to call quite often with problems he has not called with one issue since the upgrades had been preformed.

Effortless installation and started right up. Very quiet and running without problems for 1 month. I have never had a problem with any Western Digital products. I, also, have a 500 GB MyBook that I use as an external backup drive and that one has been runnng without problems for over 6 years. I have been an IT Professional for over 25 years and I have found that Western Digital drives are the most reliable.

I bought this HDD to replace an existing drive that was getting too small. Within a couple months I was getting SMART notifications that the drive was bad and should be replaced asap. And naturally, that's past the return window for Amazon.Disappointed

This drive failed yesterday with the click of death. Worked fine up until it didn't. WD will send a replacement since it is still under the 3 year warranty. But any new drive that fails after 14 months, especially a desktop drive like this one, gets at best 1 star.
