I wanted a portable hard drive but received this instead. There is nothing wrong with the productbut not what I was expecting. I returned it for a refund.

My computer crashed after three days, but in all fairness, I suspect that other factors caused the crash. I thrashed the whole mess and bought a new computer.UPDATE: Installed this drive on a new computer to use as a backup HD...it is working fine, so there was on problem with this product.

Cheap and simple! Got this in to replace a bad hard drive. It was easy to install and got it setup very quickly.

Needed a semi-cheap hard drive for a sort of tight gaming budget and this fit for the amount of space I was receiving. I have no complaints about this hard drive, just looking to get an SSD as well. Good buy.

It works fine and it's quick enough for a traditional HDD, but it did go MIA one day and had to be powered down before it came back. Since then I've not really trusted it, as a HDD should never just bugger off and decide it doesn't want to work any more before changing its mind. That was a few months and it's not done it since but I'm waiting for the day.

Received as expected and a great value for the money. Wham bam thank you Ma'am. Plugged in and worked just the way it needed to. Does this come with a lifetime transferrable warranty?? lol... I am sure I will get all the use out of it that it can provide.

I have bought hundreds of hard disks. Many other brands fail quickly especially in my hot and dusty environment. Western Digitals just seem to last and work well. I buy the blues for the price, and for the price it is absolutely the best, however when price is not an issue I buy the black.

I purchased a new WD Caviar Blue WD10EALX @ 1 TB to expand my Mac's Time Machine capacity. Nothing is easier than installing a SATA drive into a Mac tower. The installation involves a cloning process which allows me to longitudinally extend my existing Time Machine records. I tried three times to clone with each attempt taking two hours. All attempts failed. I called WD tech service. We figured out quickly that the drive is DOA and should be returned for replacement. This could be done either with WD or Amazon. Nothing beats Amazon's logistics so I went with the vendor.I will update when the new drive is up and running.

I received my WD Blue 320 GB Desktop Hard Drive. I replaced my old (crashed) Hard Drive with this new one and have no problems whatsoever. It is easy to install, and has increased the performance on my PC.

The drive had to be initialized first. Compatible with the new Mainboard in my computer system. It has a faster data transfer rate.

Used as a replacement drive for about a five year old iMac. The Mac only had SATA I, and this SATA III drive plugged right in and worked no problem. Completely backwards compatible.

this HD was an upgrade to replace a smaller IED HD. Wiht SATA to IDE adapter it works very good. Quiet, fast, does not get hot, so no special cooler needed. Good price too. Highly recommended.

If you're a gamer, and stress your components alot, maybe a Blue drive isn't for you.I'll be getting another TB drive, after RMA'ing this one, and i'll use it soley for media.Going to get an SSD or something for my games and such.

Good product. I use it to store media/watch movies/listen to music. I have had no problem with this whatsoever. Seemed to be one of the best deals for the price. I use this on a Windows 7 machine.

It died after 3 weeks. The company I bought it from did not have another one I had to send it ti the manufacture for replacement more time and moiney lost

After 5 years of using the same desktop, my HDD crashed. Luckily I had backups of everything, slapped this one in, hooked up the cables, and started working perfectly.Not as fast as the SSD drive in my HTPC (of course) but this was actually cheaper than NewEgg when I first looked.Good deal, good drive.
