Cheap and does exactly what it is supposed to. If you don't need a gigabit network, buy a few of these.

I am a computer teacher that needed to share a wired internet connection to 4 computers. This has been working great the past 2 weeks. Wish it had more ports but I knew it was a 5-port switch when I bought it.Haven't had any issues with any of the laptops sharing the internet connection. I recommend this inexpensive switch to anyone wanting a switch that does what it is supposed to do.

Bought this switch because my Fios router only had 4 ports and not enough for my two computers, two printers, two Tivo sets. Unfortunately my Wi-Fi signal from the Fios router is so weak that my two Tivo boxes upstairs in my home can't get decent reception wireless. I had hooked one up with a direct line through my attic to the one box and the other was still using their wireless device which only gave me a marginal signal. Now that I have this switch I was able to run another hard line to the second Tivo in my bedroom and have spectacular picture quality and fast transfer of programs from my den's Tivo to my Bedroom.I took my printers out of the Fios router, have my two printers now in the switch box and the two Tivo's in the Router. All works flawlessly now and hook up was so easy, really a plug and play set up. Worth the money, glad I bought it.

I have AT&T and the receiver in my room has an ethernet port, which leads me to my point ...I have a gaming PC, an XBOX 360, and a PS3. I was getting tired of switching the ethernet cords for the equipment. This is a great way to alleviate that inconvenience. I'm never using all 3 at once, so the fact that it's just a simple switcher does not hinder my speeds. If I were to try and play a game on one of the consoles and the PC, then my speeds would be slightly affected. Otherwise, this is a great little switcher, and I highly recommend it.~ B.

Great price. I've used TRENDnet products before and have always had great experiences. It arrived promptly and was in the original box like new. The product itself works very well.I would recommend this product, especially due to the price.

I've no problems with this switch. After using it for close to a month I ordered another one out of need for moving a router to another location in the house. The only weird thing is the power supply plugs in on the side, rather than the back with the RJ-45 jacks. No complaint. The switch is light and small. It could sit in your palm without edges hanging off. If I need another switch I'll probably go with TRENDnet.

I ordered this item a little over 90 days ago and just got around to unboxing it. Something is broken inside. It sounds like a marble is rattling around in it. Of course, it doesn't work. I'm not happy about this to say the least.

Great product and a plug and go set up!My set up contains a comcast digital cable modem and an ethernet cable extends from this into another room with the TV and xbox360. Purchased a dvd/blueray with smarttv and needed another ethernet connection. This switch was installed at the TV and works great. Additional ports available for additional internet capable equipment...yea!

Easy to use and works exactly the way I needed it to work. You do need some knowledge of how to use a Ethernet switch .

I hardwired these to my house. I have a 16 port as a central switch. The 16 branches off to every room in the house, from there I have either a wall outlet or thee 5 port switch. Really increases the speed when compared to wireless.

I currently live in a dorm room that only allows me one Ethernet connection and they have blocked wireless into my room. Seeing as how I have a laptop and computer that I want to use in the dorm this was a problem. From my standpoint I had three options: set up a router, use an app on one computer or my smartphone as a hotspot, or buy a switch.I don't know much about routers, nor do I want to pay for one or set it up.Using my smartphone is a hassle as I'm always leaving, and a computer app seemingly gives a slow connection through a wireless card.That left me with a switch box. A pretty simple piece of equipment, right? Oh, but how valuable it can be.This little switch box is a miracle worker, there is no noticeable speed loss as you would expect and it runs smoothly 24/7. It's a very attractive small box that's twice as thick as a deck of cards and has slightly more surface area.Highly recommended product.

Bought this to connect my smart TV, Xbox, and PS3. Opened it up, connected the cables and it worked right out of the box.Didn't even need to look at instructions. Could not be easier. For the price, this is the one to get. You can stop reading reviews now...... You're done looking. :-)

Fantastic little switch. It has been working flawlessly for almost a year now. Highly recommend for the price. I have multiple computers running games as well as a VOIP phone running on it.

Great Product! I passed this up a week ago to try an Ethernet switch that saved me 2 bucks. I've already sent back the other switch and was hoping hey maybe I'm doing this wrong. But, alas I receive my new Trendnet today and within minutes was working connecting all my devices.

and it was cheap! double yay!Home business network, nothing fancy. No noticeable lag or speed delays from it. Using it with a netgear brand router/cablevision.

I have a router in the main floor and multiple computers connected through wireless in the upstairs area, Wanted a more consistent connection in that area. This got the job done perfectly without a hitch. The switch is relatively small and easy to hide away.

I purchased this switch thinking everything would work fine and faster on the devices after this switch; which was why I bought it in the first place. To my horror, 3 days after connecting it, it shuts down my whole network - including the wireless network and wants a password, a password, of course, I don't have and never had. The blue screen comes up with a Cisco logo and there is NO Cisco device connected to my network at all, I put back my slower switch and now everything works as before. I simply can't believe this happened, but it did and removing the device was proof that it was the culprit. I just want to return it. It is THAT BAD!!!

The unit failed after few months but still under warranty. When contacted their support, they try to sell me a support package which cost over two times of the price of a new switch. They keep insisted on the fact that the switch is OK but needs to be reset and updated before they would issue an RMA for replacement. Tried to give them facts that the unit was dead but they hung up the phone. Product is good when working but be ready to throw it away if it breaks during warranty period. Do not deal with this company. Needless to say no problem with Amazon.

It took me less than two minutes to set it up and everything just worked. It seems to run at pretty fast speed.
