VERY GREAT, AND VERY AFFORDABLE PRODUCT COMPARED TO WALMART, KMART, ETC. WORKS GREAT VERY COMPACT VERY SATISIFIED, ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GOOD SWITCH, THIS IN THE ONE FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't know it was this easy. Just take the ethernet wire and plug it in and it expands 1 to 4 so you get 3 more. Unless you're running a large business and are networking you won't know the difference. It's powered by a small transformer and requires no software. Great for expanding a 1 port router to a wireless one. Great buy!

I have internet service only and got away from the Cable Company. I ran a network cable from the cable company black box to this Trendnet 5 port switch. I then hooked up my Router, Roku Media Player, Sony Media Player, Skype Cordless Phone, and they All Work Perfect! I would recommend this unit if you have multiple units with one feed source.

I bought this so I could hook my Air Rave to it and get better reception in my house. I had to unhook it and go back to no reception on my cell phone because it never worked right.

I needed to split 1 ethernet to 2 and got this switch to make 4 at about 7 bucks. Can't complain have had 0 issues since.

I needed this to give me a few extra ports on my AT&T U-verse router, and this does the job fine. Easy to connect, and works perfectly. No complaints at all.

TRENDnet TE100S5 5-port Ethernet Switch Arrived promptly and was easily connected and functional within minutes. Easy instructions productively support installation and here, months later no issues whatsoever. Smooth operations indicate product reliability and if I were going to buy another I would feel it was a smart choice. I highly recommend TRENDnet Ethernet switch for anyone who may need one.

I purchased this to connect my laptop and tablet to the network since my router only had 4 connections which were already being used. It worked very well and I am still using it when I need a wired connection for additional security (rather than using the wireless).

I use two of these. One near my Airport Extreme to increase the number of available ports. Another at the end of a long Cat-5 where I connect my iMac and wireless extender Airport Express (and I forgot to run two Cat5 cords, so this "splits the signal" just fine)

I'm not sure what can be said about this switch other than it works. It's also fan-less which means it's quiet. I replaced an old 3COM hub that sounded like a diesel truck idling because of the fan.

The eternet switch works just as described, nice and small with indicator lights. Easy to connect and disconnect from, unlike some others that I have used.

Worked great. I was using it to split our one outgoing network drop into five computers. It was working beautifully until I got caught with it by our IT department who said it slows down the network. However, I never noticed. Darn....

Bought it Oct 2011. Started malfunctioning April 2012. Crud! Maybe bad luck, maybe bad QC by trendnet.Not a great loss, but probably out of warrantee.The long story:Last month I started noticing devices attached stopped working at random times, but about once a day - simplest temp fix was to re-power all my network gear from the power strip switch. At the time I thought it might be a recently purchased router, but after a couple weeks of this nonsense, I decided to try to isolate the problem. Since I was missing phone calls from my VOIP boxes (OBItalks),I moved them directly to the router ports -- problem solved for those, but the one device I left on the switch, which still craps out at random times, every few days, only cured by re-powering the switch -- Conclusion - it's the switch. BOO. An ethernet switch, even "consumer grade" ought to last a few years -- maybe I'm just lucky, but all my other ethernet/routing gear has lasted a few years continuously powered up -- I usually retire and/or give it away before it dies...

I first bought one of these to wire up my bedroom, which contains my TV, receiver, and Xbox 360. Like a noob, I inadvertently took down my entire home network by directly patching this switch to an older Linksys switch that did not have Auto-MDIX. So I bought a second TRENDnet to replace my older Linksys, and I now have both directly patched to each other (via a 50 ft Cat5e cable), and they're passing HD audio and video from Netflix to my TV well. Haven't performed any stress tests, but the throughout is clearly high enough and consistent enough for my purposes. Definitely recommend these switches for just about any purpose other than extremely high-demand setups, though these may even do well for that, I just haven't stressed them. And the price is fantastic, IMO.
