I have had no problems with this item. It works great. Im running 2 dvr boxes on it and 2 pcs. Il end up buying another later

I prefer to hardwire my components when possible, I generally only use wireless for my iPad and Nexus 7. I needed a switch because my modem simply did not have enough connections. I recieved the Trendnet switch, unpacked it and powered it up. I ran my receiver, bluray player, ps3 and xbox 360 directly to the switch. I then ran a cable from the switch to Att's provided modem. That was it, everything automatically worked. I didn't have to reconfigure any of my components. I didn't have to hook the switch up to my computer to setup parameters. It simply worked automatically. I streamed some content last night and was happy. Everybody loaded the same as it always did, the picture quality was the same as it has always been. No problems at all. It truly is plug and play. Everything automatically configured.

Not much else to say. It works well and the price is good. Light and compact. I'd like a few more ports if I could get them.

I used this to plug multiple ethernet cables to the ZyXEL PLA407 HomePlug AV 200 Mbps Powerline Wall-Plug Adapter (Starter Kit - 2 Units). It works great!

I've had Netgear and Dlink 5 port switches which are larger and run warmer than this device. This one seem to be cooler and works just fine.

This little 8-port switch has been amazing. I decided to run ethernet cable to three bedrooms on different floors of our house. This switch is the hub for the great internet now enjoyed by anyone plugging into the wall.It has definitely helped offset the use of wireless.

I bought this over a year ago, and has never had a problem all this time.There is nothing to configure.. just plug it in and it just works. It's got status lights for each port which tells you if there is any activity in those ports.I got this for my VOIP box and the VOIP phone, and my network drive all needed an ethernet connection each, and all I had was one wired connection from the wall.This is not a Gigabit switch, but I didn't need one for my application.

Sometimes a product does exactly what it should, no more, no less, does it perfectly and is devoid of annoying characteristics. This is one of those products. It is impossible to find anything bad to say about it but it is also impossible to praise it because by its very nature it has no exciting features at all. I can't talk about the user interface because it neither has nor needs any user interface. I can't talk about the ease of setup because it neither has nor needs any setup. This Ethernet switch is an Ethernet switch and that is all there is to it!

Needed to split the single internet cable to my son's bedroom into multiple connections........computer, PS3, tablet, etc. This does the job and does it well. Would highly recommed it. Have 2 of them, one for each boy and it works great.

Easy to install. Just connect your cables and it's ready to go. Easy as that, no need to install software on your computer, etc.I hooked mine up to my cable box because I have Uverse, and I have my XBOX 360 and two computers connected. No lag or slowing of any kind when I have all three turned on.

I completely forgot I even had this, which is probably the best compliment I can give. It simply works in the background doing its job. I have a smart TV, Roku, and computer in my den, but getting wireless reception was pretty spotty. So I decided to go ahead and run an ethernet cable to the den and use the TRENDnet Ethernet Switch instead of another wireless configuration. One of the few times in my life I actually did something right. It has simply done its job beautifully.

Works great. I just plugged it in and it worked fine. I use it in the living room to connect the smart TV, the dish and an Internet capable smart switch to the Internet.

Works as expected. Do not buy those expensive once because this thing works. I really needed this. Ethernet is definitely faster than wifi.

Starting to like Trendnet products more and more lately. This item is plastic so not the highest grade of switch like the metal ones for a little more money but if you just need something small and cost effective this is for you!. I would purchase again!

With Every thing connecting to the internet these days, The TV The game system etc. And wireless not really great for streaming. This was the answer. And this autoswitch works like a charm toggling to whatever requires the most. Great solution for what I needed. The price was key as well.

My wireless internet service antenna is outside and 200' up the hill. So about twice a year, I get a surge from lightning that used to fry my router. I put this switch in line between the router and the wireless radio receiver as a "fusible link". It works plug-and-play and is transparent in the setup.Now, about twice a year the surge frys the Switch instead of other components in my LAN. Its a lot cheaper and easier to replace.No, I have never asked for a warranty replacement. Just doesn't seem fair.

I needed this so that I could connect the TV, Roku and WII to the internet using Ethernet to get a faster connection.I just connected my router to trendnet switch and connect the rest (TV/Roku/WII) to the switch. Works perfect. Absolutely no setup required.But it!
