I ordered this from amazon after seeing the price and other reviews. I didn't need GigE and just wanted something inexpensive and simple. What pleased me the most when I got it was how small it is. The pictures make it look bigger than it is. It is much smaller than an old Linksys switch that it is replacing.

I got a lemon. It wouldn't turn on, plugged into multiple power outlets. Had to send it back to amazon. Buy a little higher quality product and don't waste your time.

Does exactly what it says without ANY complications. Set up was a simple as plugging it in then plugging cables into it. DONE! A deal at less than $10!

The product is made in China so don't expect a miracle. It is small, it's cheap, and it works. Nothing fancy but it works just fine.

I now know I needed a Router not a Switcher. I wish this product description included what was written in the product manual: that you can not access the internet from more than one computer at once. Now I must purchase another product instead.Works fine however.

This device does what is says it will do. I added a blu ray player to my entertainment system which all ready had a Xbox360 on an ethernet cable. Added this switch and routed the outputs to each device... done. High speed service on both units. Saved some money by going with a non WiFi blu ray player.

This switch is seriously tiny. It fits in the palm of your hand. That said, it's perfect for my dorm. Setup is as simple as just plugging in the power cord and some ethernet cables. Perfect for people who don't know much about networking and technology. If you're just looking to get some extra ethernet ports to expand your network and want something cheap and easy, this switch is for you.

How can a company like TrendNet go wrong with a product like this? The only point of debate is what you feel a reasonable price should be for it. I got a good product for a very fair price.

Its not reliable and its made from plastic. When I use the port, I run into problems but the price was okay. Its probably not okay if you cant use it but oh well

I had one network connection in our master bedroom for the DVR. Adding a Wii to our set up, and my wanting to add it to our network required me to get a switch.I didn not need a huge switch, with all of the bells and whistles. Just a simple switch that was unobtrusive and that would work.This switch fit the need.Very easy to install, and secured a good connection immediatly. Was able to add the Wii to it with just the plug of a wire.It has been very stable, and does not run that hot.If you are looking for a good priced way to add more network connections in your home, this would work for you.

I bought this becuase I used to have to move a single ethernet line between my UVerse DVR and my PS3. Its not too difficult, but certainly an annoyance. The hardest thing about setting this thing up was finding an extra section of cable. Or maybe it was finding a place to mount the switch itself. Either way, there was really no fuss with this thing at all. I plan to buy another to use on the other TV to get the Wii conected.

I wanted to extend my home network for wired devices. I already had an ethernet bridge to convert my wifi signal into a wired connection, but I wanted to connect more than 1 device to it. I just plugged the bridge into this switch and connected my other devices into the other ports, and they worked without any further configuration. Note that there isn't any specific input port (that's how switches work), so I can only connect 4 devices since the input uses one of the 5.

I purchased this network switch to expand the number of available ports in my living room to accommodate all the new networked gadgets. The product works as advertised. The power cord is sufficient in length. Overall, a great value for the price.

It worked well, as expected. Due to the number of cables that can be connected to it, it was necessary to use the retaining holes underneath to secure the device, otherwise the cables connected move it to whatever position they like. This switch worked well for my home-network.

I needed another Ethernet drop behind the TV so instead of pulling new wire I bought this cheap switch to utilize the existing cat5. Works great!

I bought this because an ethernet jack in my office area was broken, so I needed to split one connection into two. Each ethernet jack here has to be signed up for use, and then an IP address is assigned to the computer, so I honestly wasn't expecting it to work. However, all I had to do was plug the switch into the wall jack and then run an ethernet cable to each of the computers, and now the internet works very well on both of them! It was so easy to install, no discs or set-up of any kind. The printing here is also on a network, and even that works very well on the computers connected to the switch. The instructions that come with it say it is not for splitting an ethernet connection, but it works GREAT fot this. And at this price, it's a bargain-- it is definitely worth buying and trying out and I highly recommend it.

This neat little box did exactly what I wanted it to do, it gave me more ports so I could have my laptop and Xbox 360 connected to the internet at the same time. Very cool, and for the price I'd highly recommend it.UPDATE: It suddenly stopped working right after the 1 year warranty was up. It just doesn't power on. No lights, no power, nothing. Very unhappy. So beware.

I bought this item with the intent purpose of connecting 2 xbox360 and a playstation3. The playstation3 went online without any problem but only one xbox360 at a time can go to xbox live. I search the internet for solution and found tons of it that require you to modify your router to force one of the xboxes to use the alternate port for connecting to xbox live. The instruction given is so complicated that I found myself thinking its not even worth the effort. Luckily before giving up I notice that my 2 xbox360 both are using the same IP address. By making the xbox360 use a static ip address both were able to connect to xbox live with one xbox360 using the a alternate port. And as a bonus this switch manage to keep the 2 xbox360 from changing port (which plague the 2 xbox360 router setup, which result in one xbox360 getting boot out of xbox live every 20 minutes) for ever happening.
