I bought this product after reading lots of Amazon reviews, people were boasting this router is really easy to set-up, and you don't even need the set-up CD.Well, the reality is:The set-up CD can't even configure my internet properly. So even though I want to use the CD, it doesn't work.THEN,I try to use the manual method by logging into the router on my computer, and I STILL can't get it set-up. Requires some stupid login on my ATT account. So now it's two hours in trying to set this up, and I've just given up and gone back to my wired connection. Will return this tomorrow if can't set it up later tonight.VERY FRUSTRATING. You get what you pay for, this is a no-name brand, and the poor set-up quality shows. If you are a newbie like me, will probably be better off with a brand name, where basic things like Set-up won't be a pain.

I received it within a couple days. Great product, I'm 100% satisfied with it, no freezes at all. I'd recommend this router to anyone and I'd buy it again.

Got this mainly so my daughter could use her laptop while she's staying with us but also hope to use it for wireless netflix soon. Had to get help from the Comcast techs to get it working with their modem but that didn't take too long and since then has been just fine. Really good bang for the buck and hopefully longlasting too.

May be it is incompatible with Mac products (it does not indicate as such). But I have to keep rebooting it every once in a while, Sometimes, right in the middle of me watching a program on my apple TV, or being on the internet on my Mac or iPad, I lose signal resulting in my having to reboot. Really annoying!!

I have had this router [WR841 without removable antennae] for a couple of weeks now [replacing a netgear]. It works well I have an independant down load speed of 5.4? mbs with DSL which is very good [coming thru the router wirelessly to a laptop]. The set up was very easy as was setting security [wpa] however the older compaq presario would not confige. It keep kicking off on verification which it will do unless it's set to WPA. There was a site that went thru removing the security verification which did not help. Next the driver for the internet card was too old to accpept the newer WPA security so I researched that and found a driver download from Compaq that updated it to allow the newer security settings. After running that driver download and configuring the internet hook up [it was in Windows XP secpak2?,home version] it worked great. So don't give up if you can't get a connection as a solution is probably available if you search. It took me 15 minutes to set up the router for the computers with no problems [XP pro, Mac OS 10.4 [both cabled], Windows 7-laptop-wireless] and 3-4 hours to set up the problem child older compaq].

This product is totally a trash!First, they give you a mini disc for installing which your macbook can not read!Second, I could hardly get access to nternet with it. The speed is too slow to open a website.Last, I thought it might be the problem for one unique product, then I replaced a new one but it has the same problem. Tonight I bought a Netgear router and it works great!I will never buy anything under TP-link!!!!

The TP-Link WL TL-WR841N 300Mbps Router is a good product for the money. However, I am not getting the range that is advertised on the box. I moved the router around and almost my laptop to see what kind of range I could receive and this router does not compare to other routers I have. But overall, for the price it is a good product.

Very good router, and very good price for the performance it delivers. I did not use the CD to set it up. Just configured it throw browser. By automatically detecting so many parameters itself (e.g. protocol, channel, ...) its setup is actually easier than many other routers. Connected bunch of laptops and wireless printers, all went very smoothly.An update after one month:If you are not going to use this router with the HP-7510 eAll-in-one, the above review stands the same. However, at the same time that I bought this router I bought an HP-7510 eAll-in-one too. All features of the HP worked fine, except the outgoing eFax. After a month of working with HP Support and eFax, and trying every possible option, it turned out the culprit is this router that doesn't allow the eFax traffic to go out. The moment I changed the router with a Linksys WRT54G, the eFax feature started to work just fine. Put the TP-Link back into the network, the outgoing fax stopped working again. Still nobody knows what changes should be made to this router's configuration (if any) to make it to work with the outgoing fax feature of HP-7510.

This is without a doubt the best router I've ever had. Just went through hell trying to set up a Belkin router after mine (also a Belkin) crapped out. I sent the Belkin back and ordered the TP-Link. The setup for my Mac running OS 10.6.8 was absolutely the easiest thing in the world. The support was wonderful (thank you Cora) and virtually all I had to do after connecting the cable to the modem and the router to the computer, was fire up the computer, click on the TP-Link pop-up box, type the address into the browser, and everything else was done automatically. Forget about the CD (which only works with a PC). After my experience with Belkin I waited almost a week to plug in the router and attempt the set up. Wow, something that works like it's supposed to. Hip hip hooray for TP-Link!

i got this product as a replacement for an aging airlink 'g' router which dropped wireless signals whenever the smart meter installed by the local utility company called home. and that happens two to three times a day. the tplink router had no issues with the smart meter. it gets hot when there is heavy internet traffic so its highly recommended to keep it in a well ventilated area. i got the best signal when i installed it vertically on a wall 4 feet off the ground with the antennas pointing down. my family watches HD videos simultaneously through netflix on at least 3 wireless 'n' devices with no problem.

Recommended by a computer friend of mine. Setup was super easy. provides 10x the wireless signal I had with my old router, all wireless devices in the home are working amazingly. Highly recommended.

Do not believe that this router will cover all the rooms in your house, because it will not. It covers well the room in which the router is setup. Into the very next room, there is a dramatic decrease in reception. I went from 60+ mbps in the living room where the router stood with its three antennas pointing into the air, to the next room with an open doorway where it only managed 11 mbps. In the very next room there was no reception at all, and none outside the house. My old router managed to reach all rooms of the house with an average 20mbps in all rooms. That was the Medialink with 150mbps speed and only internal antennas.Do not waste your time. I wasted an afternoon on this lousy router. Oh what fun to return stuff.

I read some users had installation problem, so I read instruction for cable internet sheet, and connect the ethernet connection s prior to the installation of mini CD rom, and it worked first time, I would definetely recommend this product.

First wireless router I've ever used, but so far I'm very pleased. When the product arrived, there was a question concerning compatibility with my DSL, so I called TP-Links tech support. Guess what? Spoke to someone within 90 seconds of calling, and he spoke clear understandable English, and quickly answered my simple question. Setup was easy with the installation disk and I have had zero problems since installing it.

I was looking for a cheap router that would allow my husband's new tablet to connect to the internet, while still allowing my PC's access. This router does all that and seems to have signal through my entire house (which isn't all that big).

I have Apple computers, iPhones, iPad, Xbox 360, Apple TV & Cox internet and I have had nothing but problems with this router. I installed the latest firmware, contacted their customer service which is only thru email no phone support and they told me to change the channels on the router. Nothing worked more than a few days. I'd come home and this thing would be offline every few days. I went back to my old router and haven't had any issues since.The router has really good range and speed but its reliability for me was awful!
