I am new in this kind of stuff, I mean, wireless. Before I buy it I have read so many reviews about pros and contras, on this page we have many brands and features, but TP Link does the work. We bought this device for home uses, 2 Laptops, 1 desktop, table, smartphones and CCTV...no regrets. We are online everyday and every time. The Setup is easy and fast, even for me, I am a rookie. The images on the mobile phone looks like real time. My friend uses a router 150 mbps and believe me, is seems slow motion. Thank u amazon, the seller and TP link.

Everything I run though this seems to work just fine. PC and PS3 via the Ethernet ports and Iphone, Nook and netbook via the Wifi. Every once and awhile it will go through a phase where I need to reset it. I am not sure if that is the fault of the unit or something to do with my cable provider. It may be months before it needs reset and then I might need to reset it a couple times a day for a day or two.The range seems decent to me. Its on the 3rd floor and I can be outside and 40 feet away from the building and still get WiFi on my phone.

Bast value for the money. Not much to say. It did everythig I needed and super easy to set-up. Use it at my office and everything connected super easy and secure: wirless printer, cell phone (wi-fi), Nexus 7 (and i stream slacker constantly with out hiccup) So easy I ordered one for my daughter and she had it up and running and works so well she already forgot about it..;-)

I found this product to be very easy to setup and use. The speed is only limited by the poor quality of service from Comcast but the router works great with almost no lag between devices hooked up to. I use both the wireless and the LAN wire cable to a computer and I get good signal through walls and about 50ft away. The signal does degrade some starting about 25ft and falls off quickly, but again this is through the wall.

VERY unstable signal strength caused me numerous bandwidth issues. Tried different channels, different settings and even tried unplugging ALL possible causes of signal interference but nothing helped. Last straw was when I confirmed signal problems still existed with laptop LESS THAN 1 FOOT from router. Returned for full refund and will never buy from this company again.

Considering the other reviews, I was very excited to replace my (dead) Belkin G router with this little dude. Unfortunately, it just didn't measure up to expectations. The Belkin was easier to setup and had a LOT more range, which is one of the main reasons I bought the TP-Link router. Apart from that, setup was fairly easy and the unit works pretty well. For the money, I give it four stars. For the actual use and performance for my specific needs, three stars. It's not bad...it's just not totally awesome either. It's a good value for basic wireless home networking.

I purchased this router along with the TP-Link NT TD-8616 modem because I was having trouble with the at&t 2wire modem/router. It provides much better range and speed than the 2wire modem/router. I live in a separate game room about 40 feet from the router in a metal building so my wireless signal was very weak and slow. The metal building really weakens wireless signal. After setting up this router, I now have 3 to 4 bars of wireless signal compared to 1 to 2 bars with the 2wire modem/router. In summary, this router provides good range and internet speed.NOTE: This is only a router. You must purchase a separate modem.

This inexpensive router seems to work just fine for my needs. I have 3 wired desktops plugged into it, 4 laptops that use the wireless function, as well as one Kindle and one iPad that connect wirelessly. I have high speed internet (download speed 1.2 MB per second) and the router handles it just fine. Haven't seen a problem since purchasing it a month ago.The signal strength is not amazing but not bad. I can get signal from the farthest corner of my house or in closed bedrooms. Not strong but enough to surf with.So, for average household use, this router should be sufficient.

I've had it for 4 days, and I've already restarted it 4 times. The signal range is good (not great), but when far from the base, you lose a lot of speed and connection. Me and my wife use are iPad and galaxy tab, and the Concepcion is pretty intermittent. She has to place the security pass. Every time, the laptop doesn't save it either.I've had many routers, and so far this is the worst.

I bought this bugger based on fairly good reviews I read on internet and thinking that I should give a chance to new entrants in this market (TP-Link). It was by far the worst wireless router I've ever got since the signal strength all over the house was reduced (don't be fooled by the two antennas) and the most annoying fact was that I had to power cycle the unit at least once a day since it was loosing wireless connection with my laptop. Of course, I did the firmware upgrade but for no avail.So back to the big boys (D-Link in my case)

This is a piece of garbage.Let me humbly say- I am very tech savvy. I used to build computers, I've setup office networks and use advanced computer programs on a daily basis. That being said, this router is possibly the most difficult piece of equipment I've ever operated.Had limited use on my PC.-No use on my mac.A wifi router should be quick and easy to use with no extensive setup. This router is the opposite of easy.Returned this and got a - Belkin N300 Wireless N Router - Belkin works great.You will pay a little more for the Belkin but it will save you hours of frustration.If I could give everyone who's thinking of buying this router the extra $13 to buy the Belkin, I would.It would be like saving the world a little.

This router was a breeze to setup and the price was good. It does B/G/N connections and was WPS. I get decent coverage around the apartment but for the size of that antenna, I should be getting a connection a block down the road, and I don't, so overall a good price, good shipping speed and good quality router.

very inexpensive! has been very reliable and stable. very easy to put custom firmware. if you search, you can use the web interface to install the custom firmware. you will want to put a custom firmware since there news that TP-Link routers have a firmware bug that anyone can get root access to router. didnt read details but changing the firmware will close it up.

I received this router yesterday and had it up and running in less than 5 minutes. I didn't even have to use the mini CD that came with it. The signal strength is excellent all over my apartment. There are a large amount of settings that can be accessed for it also.I would definitely recommend this router to anyone who is on a tight budget and wants to go wireless.

Not for MAC OS. TP-LINK technical hotline could not resolve connection issue. My ISP Armstrong could not resolve connection issue. I am sending it back and looking for something a little friendlier with tech support that understands their product. Plugged my old Cisco back in and everything is fine. All I wanted was more range and got a freaking headache instead.

Purchased this router from Amazon a few days ago for $33.00 & free shipping. Currently have Linksys WRT54G (I like the original Linksys design with external antennas; I tried several years ago to use the newer sleeker design with the internal antenna, and was very disappointed with the wireless range, so I returned & went back to original)to be replaced with this N draft router. I have been using Linksys products for well over 12 years and have been an advocate long before they were purchased by Cisco. I am also a 25 year computer & networking professional and work with Cisco enterprise & emerging technologies on a daily basis. I configured this router at work in <3 minutes using WPA2/AES/PSK - 63 random character pass key. I then tested coverage using my laptop with integrated wireless G radio to facilitate a walking "survey". I left the stand alone AP configured in my 2nd floor Datacenter and walked outward on entire second floor, then downstairs to first floor offices and out into my warehouse to find extraordinary coverage perimeters with regard to distance range and through multiple wall barriers. I was able to achieve coverage out about 350 feet/through multiple walls and floors. I am confident now that my home experience will be seamless, and only now need to upgrade my Linux laptops with wireless N draft USB network adaptors to leverage N draft. I will also be streaming internet content to my new Sony Smart TV, which was the real reason to upgrade to N draft in the first place, as wiring cat cable would be a pain in the backend. Additionally I looked at the Linksys routers and by comparison, this router had better reviews & price point. I will say Linksys limited lifetime warranty is a plus in that direction, as the TP-Link only provisions 2 year. But I'm giving this lower tier product a chance and will update this review when applicable. Stay tuned...

I ordered this because of various reviews saying it was compatible with DD-WRT and OpenWRT. The current model is revision 8.2 and runs VX-Works internally, not Linux. It is *NOT* compatible with these open source firmwares. I am returning it to Amazon.4 stars because Amazon requires me to rate it, looking through the configuration menus I saw a lot of nice features that you normally don't find on a cheap router, and it picked up a lot of neighbors' access points with weak signals. So if you just want a plain old router, it's probably a good buy. But if you want to run your own custom firmware, this model is no longer compatible.

I bought this for our day care center that shares space with our church. It's a large metal building with metal studs and I was looking for a device that had multiple external antenna. The multiple antenna should help with reflections that occur when radio waves bounce off the building walls and metal studs arriving out of phase at the unit. The external antenna also should increase the range and since it was a large building I would be able to get by with just one device.The package arrived in good shape and sooner than expected (gotta love that Amazon Prime). Opening the package I found the first problem, a mini-cd with instructions and the auto config program. But since I have an Apple laptop the mini disk won't work with the self loading CD slot on my computer. Didn't matter anyway since the software was written to only work on a PC. Not to worry however there is the manual set-up that I could use by using my browser and (essentially telnet) logging into the device to configure it. That's where problem number two came in. The instructions assume you want to use this as a router which I didn't. I wanted to use it as an Access Point (no router features enabled) but the instructions didn't tell me how to configure it that way so I contacted Tech Support. 45 minutes later and frustrated by language issues and (dare I say) technical incompetence I gave up. The next day I found a nice article on Yahoo about how to setup TP Link devices as an access point and 5 minutes later everything was working. Not sure I'm allowed to put the link here but you can do a search on TP-Link and Access Point and setup and it should come up.We have excellent signal strength throughout the building and haven't been able to find any dead spots. Speed seems to be as good as our wired network (which is only 10 Meg). Found that the range even extended outside the metal building a little ways (I think through the windows) so we got a bit more than expected.

Did I spell "Shabby" wrong? I rarely use that word.Anyway..I was quite impressed with the TP LINK TL-WR914ND. My biggest gripe would have to be the set-up. Which is quite honestly my own stupidity. I spent (literally) 3 hours trying to configure the thing when all I had to do was plug it in!I bought it because I don't have a router or modem in my apartment. All direct connections to the internet are upstairs in my landlord's house. I recently bought (the somewhat temperamental) MagicJack Plus and wanted to use it as a land-line instead of plugging it into my US After the long hours of trying to configure the TP LINK all I had to do was plug in the MagicJack Plus unit and turn the router on. I waited a minute or two and it simply started working! The router required no configuration at all. Whats even better is if you need to unplug and move the router for any reason it takes seconds to get it running itself up again. I must admit I was quite surprised at its simplicity and my own stupidity!The TP LINK TL-WR914ND has been working flawlessly. I've had no problems or issues with the router at all. For the affordable price its well worth it!The unit also includes a quick set-up c.d. and a users manual. You'll end up going directly to the TP LINK website for an easier to follow manual. This is somewhat of an inconvenience and the c.d. (as simple as it is to follow) can be a bit frustrating to use; again this is IF you MUST use it.Despite those inconveniences I'd highly recommend the TP LINK TL-WR01FND. It's very affordable and does exactly what you need it to do!My word of advice to anyone purchasing the unit: turn the power on and plug the unit in to whatever your using it for first. Wait a minute or two, if that doesn't work than resort to configuring the it. Don't throw away three boobless hours like I did!

I purchased this router after reading a few user reviews, to replace my Vizio XWR100 (I got tired of getting dropped & having to reboot). I was skeptical because of the low price, but what a great device! It literally took me 10 minutes from opening the box to getting it connected to my first computer... And I'm no techo geek. It provides a super-fast download/upload speed and range is terrific. My old Vizio was almost useless in my corner upstairs bedroom (I thought I needed a range extender). But this TP-Link router provides strong signal throughout my house, so don't need anything else. I love it!

I got this to replace my parents dying router. The setup was simple (they don't need anything fancy) and I haven't had to touch it since I got it for them months ago. Zero problems at all, no need for any restarts yet at all. It doesn't have the features that a power user will require, but for basic usage that most people need this will work just fine. Range seems fine in their house, it is at one far corner and you can get a good signal all the way across the house with no problem.

I have had this for one month with no problems. It delivers consistent strength through out my lower floor. I have no second story so I can't speak on that. I use my Ipad on my back deck and it works their too. I have not had to restart it nor any problems with it yet. It was delivered quickly and very easy to set up. Popped in the disc, set it up and VOILA!

In the past couple years I've purchased a couple other brand routers, but the other brands I purchased died in less than a year. This TP-Link TL-WR941ND Wireless Router is still going strong. After reading the reviews on this unit I purchased one. I needed a router to because I have 3 active computers and one is on the second floor and to pick up WiFi to use my tablet. I live in a rural area without WiFi, but do have cable TV, so I can receive it now. This is the second router I bought to place on the second floor to increase the WiFi signal for my tablet up there. The WiFi signal on my tablet is reading very strong using this router. Of course I purchased the same brand/model for the second floor being I was so satisfied with the first one.

Super easy to use for those who don't know much about home routing. It also has a ton of great features for those of us who do like to manually set everything up and use some advanced routing. There are a ton of options to set your connection exactly how you want it.
