Honestly this is the 1st router I have to set up fr myself. Only because I ordered the Kindle Fire HD, I need a WiFi router for my home. I connected it to the existing modem supplied by my cable carrier, followed the brief instructions, loaded the CD, & voila - it was a breeze setting up. It has been working perfectly ever since. It is winter & I have not ventured outdoor to test its range, but indoor the connection to my Kindle was flawless on different floor levels. On top of that, the prize at under $30.- is unbeatable.

I brought this because my roommate is 2 walls away from the modem. He needs a strong signal. I find this product has a good range and stable signal. I owned an alike model with 1 antenna 2 years ago, It performs stabler than 1 antenna. I recommend this, the price about $40 is reasonable.

I needed a router that could bridge to a WEP router two floors above on the opposite side of the house, but still use WPA for its security and this does it. It even has a cool search feature that shows a list of all the routers it can bridge with. Really easy.I find it to have pretty good range no matter where I am in the house. Also QoS was a must to make sure the VOIP traffic has the bandwidth it needs since it's been a problem without it.Finally, this router was super cheap for a wireless N. I would buy again.

I had a Netgear given to me by Dish that was a total nightmare. It was not strong enough with its signal to even let my printer get online! Like most routers, that netgear had a small, fixed 2dBi antenna, and their customer service would not honor their warranty because I didn't buy it myself. But this TPLink has a big 5dBi antenna that really gets my signal everywhere! It has great security, is super easy to install and was really, really affordable! And their customer service is great too! A 2 year warrantyThis is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time!

My previous Belkin router was dropping off and need to be reset almost daily. After switching to this TPlink, I've had a reliable connection ever since day 1! I think it's been months now... Speed test was also showing that my laptop is now getting a faster download rate too. For a wifi router that's like 1/3 or 1/4 of the price (I forgot how much I paid for my Belkin router), I can't really think of any complaints but to highly recommend it.

I selected this wireless router because of the relative high positive ratings (across multiple web sites)compared to other routers and the low price. Further it has 2 antennae each with 5 dbi strength. Other routers are typically 2 or 3 dbi per antenna. I am delighted that with this router, the wireless signal strength (as indicated on my ipad) is at the highest setting in all the rooms of my approx. 1,000 square foot apartment. Note that the only difference between the WR-841N and 841ND model is that the latter has detachable antennae and this one (841N) does not. Why would one want detachable antennae? To replace them with even higher strength antennae, if needed. I think that it is a silly concept because if one needed more signal strength one would just buy an even superior signal strength router. Hence, I did not opt for the 841ND over the 841N.I used the CD to install the router. It was easy enough except for one question when it asked whether my ISP provider provides a Dynamic IP (i.e., DHCP) or Static IP address for my connection. A brief call to my ISP provider, namely Time Warner, indicated that for my connection it is "Dynamic IP".The router is small and its width is merely the same width of my computer so it conveniently sits on top of it.I doubt one could find a new router, as good as this, at a lower price. At about $29 it offers great value for the performance.

I have purchased & set up about 20 routers, this one was the easist to set-up... I configured the router, a tablet, my main computer, a laptop and three smart TVs in less than 15 minutes..Love the QSS connector....I have purchased all of the main brands of router...they do not last but a couple or so years average...hope this one will last longer...It has a high Amazon rating and was almost the lowest priced..So far VERY SATISFIED.......

I bought this to replace my old netgear router because I was tired of resetting every couple of days and the range wasn't that great. The TP-Link has so far worked very well and I haven't had to reset it since the first week I got it. My only complaint so far is that while it has a bigger range than my old router, it doesn't quite have the range that I thought it would when I decided to buy it. Overall I have really liked it though.

The signal range is very limited.I set the router in my bed room, and found I could not connect to the internet in my living room when closing the bedroom door (a normal two-bedroom apartment).The wifi signal may look fine, but there definitely is some problem for connecting to the internet through the router.First I thought it's the problem of my modem, but later found it's caused by this router. My new router is on its way to replace this one.

Just bought this router a couple weeks ago. Was really easy to set up, and haven't had any issues with dropped connections or internet lag, even with a few devices going at once, streaming movies. Great value for the unbelievably low price!

I chose this unit based on its expected abilitys and priceSo far its been one of the best wifi units i own. I have it in my new home which has cement walls with the unit sitting on one of then I can still get a good solid connection to the unit in my grage in the back of the house which is about 50 feet and 2 brick walls away so ya its good and the price was the part that made it even sweeter. i plan on buying another for my moms house for her. I would recommend this to everyone who wants a good solid high speed wifi router

We have a large house with walls that are not very Wi-Fi friendly. We've been struggling with an older TrendNet router to get coverage throughout the house. After putting this router in, we have disabled the other two access points, because it reaches all rooms in the house with very good speed. No more dropped signals or having to turn the wi-fi access on and off to re-establish the connection. Very happy.

I had no trouble installing the router, which only took a couple minutes, and its made a huge difference in speed and its more reliable compared to the Dynex it replaced.Update... After just 8 days the router no longer is apple to connect to the internet via wireless connection, only LAN. I will be returning it.

The only problem with this router is it is older technology but that is why the price is so low.I had this installed and operating including password setups within 5 min. (I have installed routers before).I did not read the instructions or use the cd that came with it so I don't know how well they work.It will work right out of the box with no set up required as long as you install the wires correctly but this will allow everyone with in radio range to use it slowing it way down and compromising your personal information. So do take the time to set it up and use passwords.

I have never had such an amazing router. I've had linksys and it had to always be reset. I've had this router for about a month now and I haven't had to reset it. I have the x-box 360, my phone, my boyfriend's phone, my ipod, and two laptops connected to it all at the same time and nothing lagged! If you have to buy a router, go with this one. your money will be well spent!

As other reviewers have said, the setup is a breeze, as long as you actually take the time to follow the directions. There are even special directions on how to set it up to work with a cable modem, which I needed.The problem is that the signal is dropped constantly. This happens at least once a day, usually two or three times. It takes 20 minutes to a half hour for the network to come back after the router has been rebooted, which is just inexcusable.I have three devices working on the network I set up for this router, and when the network disappears on one, it disappears on all, so it's not the devices that are the problem. And no, it's not the cable modem. If it were the cable modem losing its signal, the network would still be available, but with a "no internet available" message.It's possible I got a dud, so I'll be returning it and getting a replacement. Still, though, what happened to product testing?

I got this from Santa and it works great. I am not very computer savvy but this turned my PC into wi-fi like it was supposed to. I was a little concerned with set up because the disc that comes with it is a mini disc and I don't have a mini playing CD Rom so I didn't know how I was going to set it up. You do get instructions on how to set it up without the disc and they are super easy to follow (even for us non-tekkies). Great gift.

Love this!!! Set up was a snap and I'm not technologiclly inclined wen it comes to computer modems and routers!! After I got it out of the box I had it set up in less than 5 minutes. if I can do it, you can to!! Amazing and the signal strength is awesome!! Super fast delivery and a great buy!!

Although my computer is only 10' from this router and I get 100% on both signal strength and link quality, my wireless speeds are terrible. My connection shows 300Mbps Rx and 150Mbps Tx and I only get ~10Mbps DL and ~6Mbps UL on Speedtest.net. With my wired connection, I get ~90Mbps DL and ~10Mbps UL from the same site and server. My ISP is Comcast cable. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is due to the strength of the signal it broadcasts.

I bought because this has better reach of the one I had (D-link), but I got surprised how easier is to configure, 5 minutes and is ready to use.

I have DSL through local telephone company.Opened box, plugged it in and it worked. What more can you ask for. Seamless!This was a replacement for my crapped-out very expensive Cradlepoint Router that turned out to be a piece of junk that would randomly loose its connection. Don't buy Cradlepoint.This one is CHEAP and AWESOME.

Bought this as a secondary router to run camera's off of it. Initialy it was hard to configure - the 'easy setup wizard' would not work properly, so I ended up configuring it manually. The online web service is good - a lot of extra options available vs the 'easy setup wizard' so I'd go that route instead next time. The router is fast and has good broadcast range.

It works great and I can't recall any issues since the date I bought it which was a long time ago. I bought this for a stronger, better signal for wifi gaming on consoles. I have my cell, computers, and consoles all connected to this thing. It does sometimes drop connection/disconnect when I'm playing WII on wifi but then again I live where I can't expect a perfect signal.

After initially purchasing and returning a Trendnet router, I upgraded to TP-Link. The setup was super fast and easy, and the internet is stable and consistent. Be sure to keep in a cool and well ventilated area.
