As for the quality of the router, I am unable to say. While reading the Quick Installation Guide I discovered that the setup software on the provided CD was for windows only. The guide stated, "If you are running Linux/Mac or without a CD-ROM, please refer to Appendix 1." I flipped over the page to find that Appendix 1 had absolutely no information for mac users at all, but was simply more instructions for windows users to set up without a CD. Sorry mac users, you need to go find a friend with windows (or use bootcamp or whatever) to help you set up your router, because you simply can not do it from mac os. Boo TP-Link. Booo!*Edit:Turns out there is a way to set it up manually through Mac OS, but it does not explain this ANYWHERE in the manual or on the company website. Had to get tech support to explain what to do.I've been up and running for several days now and I have noticed that this router tends to drop out about once a day requiring a reset. When it works it works fine, but overall I am not too pleased.

easy set up...secure..very happy with this router...immediately put it to use watching streaming videoliked being able to attach the router to a wall rather than take up desk space

This product is amazing dont be afraid of the price because you think its junk. It works better than the router linksys sells for 80 bucks. super long range and really easy to set up.

Just bought another one of these and the version was 8.2 with a new external wifi on/off switch. I had bought this intending to flash it over to dd-wrt but I chickened out when I saw the new version. Luckily I had an older v7.2 still using the factory firmware in a WDS application, so I simply swapped them, using the v7.2 with dd-wrt for a downstream subnet with QOS routing.This router has got to be the best value dd-wrt router out there, but beware of the new version.

Working great with a ARRIS Touchstone Cable Modem (CM820 model). I was up and running in just a couple minutes with zero issues.

Would have given a 5 but the menu system is not for a novice. Thumbs up on a firmware upgrade to deal with the Apple security issue dropping internet connectivity. 5 installed so far and work better than the chain store bands.

This router was super easy to set up and worked right out of the box. I replaced an old Linksys and this one has a much stronger signal and range! Very happy with it.

It took me several tries and restarts to get everything synched up and working. Instructions and cd were ok but still a little sketchy. Now that it is up and broadcasting, it is a big improvement over my old router, reaches every corner of my house AND a stronger signal overall.

This router works well. It was a very easy installation in part due to the CD disc provided. I've had it for several weeks now and have had no problems whatsoever.

Love it! Love it! Love it! Easiest router setup ever. Works with all cell phones, tablets, and wireless devices in the home. Not having any of the problems that other customers have had with this product. Previous owner of Belkin wireless N router.

Have had it for several months now. Connection is always strong and it hasn't needed to be reset once yet (unlike my last router, which required a restart every few days).

Al principio fue dificil la configuracion con mi modem inhalambrico; luego de lograr la conexion, trabaja muy bien y tiene excelente alcance. El fabricante debe proporcionar sus manuales en espa?ol.

This was by far the most simple to set up router I've ever used. For the price it cannot be beat.I've only used it for 2 days but I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I received the router yesterday and it only took me 10 minutes to get it up and running. Very easy to hook up and it booted right up. Setting the pass word was also easy. If you are not into technology, this is a router for you. So far, it has performed well.

This came highly recommended by a tech-savvy friend but set-up has been challenging. The small CD-ROM is not recognized by my PC and the online guide is not getting it done. I need to make some calls. Still hoping it is better than the Cisco currently in play.

I bought this because of reputation and the fact I could flash dd-wrt. I hooked it up to a high gain antenna and I was able to connect and get internet service in a remote area. Very happy with the units performance.

I bought this router after living with a Belkin 300mbps brand for a year and then my room mate moved out and took it with him. After buying this and using it for a few months I can definitely notice a difference. Not a HUGE difference but noticeable. Especially when gaming. Its not bad if you have one or two people gaming, but when you add a third person and a few downloads you can definitely notice the difference.This router can get quickly overwhelmed if you start adding too many users, but still works great for average day to day use.

Didn't install easy as others have said. I have setup over 10 wifi networks and no product has been more difficult to use. Lame.

the tp-link wireless router is in good quality. After I set up it, it works well. But it stop working sometimes. I dont know where the problem is, I mean with the router or with the internet.

Bought this for my son. After a couple of hours of "hit & miss" trial, he has it up and working. Not sure if it was direction of installation or operator error. Working well in his apartment which is an elongated series of rooms. He's running 85% connectivity from one end to the other through several walls.

I WAS TIRED OF MY BELKIN DROPPING THE SIGNAL EVERYDAY AND TOO WEEK TO PICK UP HD STREAMING. I WAS HESITANT BECAUSE THE GREAT PRICE AS THE BELKIN WAS THREE TIMES THIS PRICE. IT WAS EXTREMELY EASY TO INSTALL. HASNT DROPPED MY SIGNAL ONCE IN THE MONTH IVE HAD IT AND IM WATCHING HD NO PROBLEMS. I WOULD PURCHASE THIS AGAIN.. GREAT PRODUCT....

I fix and install computers for a living. TP-Link routers are the least troublesome and best value of all the routers I install. This particular router is a great value.
