Bought this after reading about all the problems others were having with outboard hard drives from other manufacturers. This one seems to be well made, and I like the design. I've only had it two months--can't attest to it's ruggedness or longevity. When I first got it, it couldn't do a Windows Image Backup (on my Win7 64-bit laptop). I reported it to tech support via email. Within two days I received a response asking for some more information (not bad considering the time difference between here and Taiwan). I sent them the information, and within 7 days they had a firmware update that fixed the problem. One more little glitch they straightened me out on within two days via email. I've never had such responsive tech support from a disk drive manufacturer before.

I received this product in a timely meaner. It works great it is waterproof and shockproof. It's 1TB and easy to use.

I can't say enough good things about this. I travel around Afghanistan and its perfect, very durable! I've dropped it and it's still working just fine, I love how they give you 2 sets of cables, one just for a back up. Instead of having to use those mini 2.0 and 3.0 transfer cables they use a regular USB cable to transfer data. It doesn't come loose like all the hard drives I've owned. This is worth every penny!!! I would of paid $150 for this! I had to reformat this for my MAC but that only took 2 min before I started using it.

cons:1.ugly & bulky compared to usual portable hard disk drives.2.the cord on the side is toooo short & it will eventually detach while syncing files.THE SOFTWARE BUNDLE IS GARBAGE!!! finding resource on taiwanese manufacturer is close to impossible because its in mandarin! determining which files you have deleted or updated & stored on this drive is a problem & you will have to deal with it the old fashion way of determining it yourself!(maybe) the only pro:1. i just hope the ruggedness and durability is true. otherwise, i'll deeply regret the purchase of this.

I was searching for high-capacity thumb drives that I could just plug in to my desktop to regularly & frequently backup some very large critical files/folders I work with on a daily basis. But the better 32Gb & 64 Gb flash drives were upwards of $50 and this puppy gives me a terrabyte for less than three times the price of a thumb drive. That was a no-brainer in my opinion. I've been using the drive for six weeks now and love it. In fact, I got the 750Gb version for my wife who uses it to backup her laptop. I'm also considering getting two more to replace some of the bulky external powered hard drives I currently for storing all our music and photos.
