My Voyager 855 just arrived this afternoon. I plugged it in to charge, and it was fully charged when I checked on it again a few hours later.The headset connects to devices easily. You have to hold down the call button for it to connect to bluetooth, to turn on, or to turn off -- probably to prevent it resetting or turning on in one's pocket or when answering the phone by pressing the call button. My samsung found the headset instantly after it had been paired. Although, I had to manually connect it back to my phone after testing the headset on my laptop -- i still haven't figured out how to use it to listen to music from my laptop.So far my preference is to answer calls by sliding the boom out -- that was one of the features that drew me to the voyager, and I'm happy with its functionality. It slides easily with slight pressure from your fingertips, and you can prevent it pulling on your ear canal by holding the face side of the headset with your thumb while sliding the boom with your finger. The reviewer who noted that to answer calls with the call button, you shove the headset into your ear-hole was absolutely right about that. Answering by extending the boom absolutely solves the problem, although the placement of the call button is undeniably a design flaw.The volume/track-forward/track-back buttons are on the edge of the device, and easily distinguishable by touch. Predictably, pushing the volume button closest to the top of your head turns the volume up, and the lower button turns the volume down.Above the volume buttons is a mute button, which is also easily distinguishable by touch.My first phone call was to my mother, who is hard of hearing and tends to shout into phones. She didn't have any trouble understanding me, and I could moderate her volume easily with the on-board volume buttons. Others are shocked when I tell them that I'm on a headset. I've washed dishes while on the phone, and no one has complained of any background noise.I think the biggest surprise for me is that the sound quality is better than from my cell phone. I'm having some technical difficulties listening to music, because I apparently have abnormally small ear-holes. The gels that come with sound isolating ear buds never fit me comfortably, so I've taken to wearing my earbuds without gels. This seriously reduces the audibility of bass tones. The quality of voice calls is basically unaffected by the lack of gels though.

I love the sound and convenience of this thing. Range is good and it's super comfortable, even with sunglasses on. But I am sooo tired of having to replace it when the clear soft plastic separates from the top of the ear hook. I guarantee that with time this will happen to yours too.

This is an expensive set that delivers middle of the road performance. It does not work with bluetooth. Sound is good but you cannot hear the person you are speaking with even when the volume is all the way up. I reverted to an old Nokia Headset and it works flawlessly. The 835 is a small cute headset but that is about it.

I've owned several Plantronics products (from computer headsets to the Discovery 925) and have always been quite happy. When I accidentally sat on my 925, I ordered the 975. However, I was terribly disappointed with the call quality.I received the first set, where there was distortion whenever the other person spoke (my voice was clear to the listener). It came over as an annoying buzz with certain words. I returned it to Amazon for a replacement (thanks Amazon for making exchanges easy). The 2nd set did not charge. I exchanged it again for a 3rd set, which had the same distortion problem the first set had.I'm now returning it for the Discovery 925, my old set. Although I like the improvements they've made over the 925 (charging meter on the case, sturdier boom mic), the consistently poor call quality forces me to skip this one.

This is one of the best headsets I have ever owned. I usually select headsets based on audio quality. I had owned the higher end models from BlueAnt, Jawbone, Motorola and SoundID. This model doesnt only offer superior audio quality but also comes with the innovative charging case. The case is good for 3-4 full charges which means you don't need to take a charger with you when you travel, even for 7-10 day trips. This is a big plus to carry less cables and chargers and to be able to charge the unit while its in your bag.Voice quality is great both ways, other side never notices I am noisy areas. The earbud could have been designed better but fits well into the ear and stays there.

This is probably the worst quality headset I have ever used. People regularly complain of static and unclear sounds when using the headset. It has become a paperweight and I would not buy another one.

First one worked 4 days. Then showed up red light for the 15 minutes in the charger every time it is placed in the changer. Would not light up or connect anymore. Amazon send a replacement at no charge in response to my email asking how long it should be charging. The replacement unit worked for two days. I called Plantronics support. I was told that it is a bad battery inside the unit. They offered to replace the unit with me covering the shipping cost. Their supervisor asked me to provide proof that Amazon already replaced the Unit once, so they would send me prepaid shipping. I reminded their supervisor number of times, neever got another response. Called the Plantronics support again and was told that they know about the battery problem and even if I send them the bad unit, they may not be able to send me replacement immediately. Maybe it is a collectible item.

This is a terrific headset for the obvious reasons:Clear sound both waysComfortable, non-intrusive fitStylishGreat battery lifeMutlipoint functionalityEasy pairing out of the box within 10 secondsBut what I think is particularly great about the product is the included accessories giving the user 2 perfect solutions for carrying the headset on a keychain or lanyard so it doesn't get lost (the loop on the charging case itself, as well as the earbud hook with clip). This was really important to me because these headsets are so easy to lose and it's really vital that there is a versatile, robust and practical way to carry the headset without losing it and this product includes 2 great carrying solutions.I use this thing constantly and love it. Works great with Skype on the computer and my iPhone so I can make calls all day long while still having both hands free to type on the computer or drive my car safely with both hands on the wheel. Improves my ability to multitask without having to constantly check my pockets to make sure I haven't lost it (like I did with other headsets). Awesome product, and worth every penny.

Voyager 521....defective ear hookThe ear hook broke on 2 of them I had. The rubber separates from the plastic on the ear hook. Glue won't take. Scotch tape will. If you come across a broken one with a good ear hook pull the pin out with large nail clippers and swap. Be careful.The ear hook can separate easily. I will not buy a blue tooth from plantronics again.How stupid is that that they can't make a replacement ear hook. The hook takes the most abuse out of the whole unit.The clarity is good, but what good is it if you can't hang it on your ear with no ear hook. There is no replacement for this ear hook. Dumb A$$. Find a different blue tooth. Not worth it.

I have now owned 5 different Bluetooth head sets. This one ties with BlueAnt V1 Bluetooth Headset (Silver)for the best. Each has its pros and cons.What I like about Plantronics Discovery 975* Feels great in my ear - this is the most comfortable Bluetooth head set I have had yet. It feels comfortable in my ear and is very light weight* Stays put - It stays securely in my ear again the Platronics wins for this* Excellent sound quality - both the Plantronics Discovery 975 and the BlueAnt V1 have great sound clarity and I think the Plantronics edges out the BlueAnt* I love the case that also acts as a charger. This is great for when I am on a short trip and may need to charge once but don't want to drag yet another charger with me. For ease of charging this head set definitely is the best* Paired easily and quickly with my Palm Pre* For overall ease of use the Platronics is definitely the best Bluetooth headset I have ownedWhat I don't like or wish this head set had* I really like the voice command system with the BlueAnt V1. This makes the BlueAnt V1 a truly hands free system* The Plantronics button system is a little bit awkward - for general use it is okay but for flexibility and control the BlueAnt has a much better button system* For the features, a bit on the spendy sideOverall this is an excellent headset and in the long run I will probably end up using it more than the BlueAnt just because of its ease of use.

I read all the negative reviews here first, as well as for every other bluetooth headset before making a decision. There are negative reviews for every one, and it sometimes seems luck of the draw if you are making the right purchase.What I was looking for was a reasonably priced headset that would work well within 15 feet of the phone, would have good audio quality in my ear, and would sound clear for the person on the other end - I also wanted a good fit. I found exactly that in this phone.I tried the device on two phones. Mine, the LG Voyager and my mothers Motorola Krzr. It worked exceptionally well on both.I was able to walk up to 20 feet from the phone (direct sight) and still converse with the other person. It started breaking up rapidly after 20 feet, but the surprising thing was that although their voice coming through to my ear was broken up, they assured me they could hear my voice clear as day. I tried as both the user and the person on the other end of the line, just to be sure. There was also no static while walking.You can speak normally! Even with the mic so far away, you don't need to raise your voice at all. Wonderful!The Bad:With one button, you need to study the manual to know all the special functions and what the tones mean. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist - my technology illiterate 50yo mother was able to answer and disconnect a call with no confusion. Discovery/connecting to the phone was a bit more complicated for her (and admittedly, myself as well until I got the hang of it). It had trouble in a room with the air conditioner running, so I'll assume that it will be staticy when there is wind outside. The charging device was strange... I'm not sure why it didn't come assembled and I'm not sure why they felt it was necessary to include a cradle. It's a waste of space and I won't be using it. There is little difference between the headset standing on end and laying down.The Good:Quite a bit. It met my needs perfectly. It is a nice size - it's not so large that I look like a Borg in training, but it's not small enough that I'm going to lose it easily. The fit in [MY] ear was perfect. I tested it at a light jog and the piece did not budge. Comfortable long-term fit in the ear as well. Sound quality was excellent, both send and review. And perhaps the best thing - I was under the impression that the navigator from my on-phone GPS would not transfer through to this device, but it does! Actually, all the sounds from both my phone and my mother's transfer to this device. My one complaint about Verizon's GPS in combination with the LG Voyager was that the navigator voice was WAY too low to hear without the windows up, air/heat and radio off. This solves that problem.I will be buying another as a gift this Christmas.

I insist on a headset that is loud enough to support driving with the windows down and few can make this requirement. I have only found the Plantronics brand to work after trying several from Motorolla and Jawbone. This unit is very light and comfortable. It is loud enough for me and my family and friends advise that the voice quality is very good. Amazon price was solid.

I like this unit enough that I ordered one even though it's been discontinued by Plantronics -- not like me at all.I love that it can be flexibly used as either full-stereo headphones or a basic mono headset. Sometimes I want the former, but the latter is all I need to listen to podcasts as I walk to work.My only complaint is that Windows Mobile 6.5 doesn't like the fact that the headset's volume control can't be used to control the phone's volume. Every single time I connect the headset to the phone, the phone pops up a warning message instructing me to control the volume directly on the headset -- a totally superfluous warning. But that's really a complaint about Windows Mobile 6.5.

As Maui has recently enacted a no-hand-held-devices driving law, this purchase was a must. I tried another earbud product which didn't work well at all. This Bluetooth is working very well. I wear it all the time with comfort. People can hear me well. I can hear them. It has made my cellphone talking life much improved.

This went from 5 starts to 1 star. The reason for 1 star is at bottom part of the review.The people who say the 510 is better, have no clue. I had the 510 for over 1 year, until the earhook broke. So I decided to get the 520 based on reviews. Other than both being about the same on audio quality, the similarities end there.1. The 520 is far more comfortable. In fact, it is so comfortable and snug, I have forgotten to take it off because I didn't realize it was still on my ear. I always knew the 510 was on my ear.2. Connectivity. It is superior to the 510. I have had no dropouts in connection with the 520 (used with Blackberry Curve). The 510 routinely dropped connection, which made me power cycle the headset to get it to connect again. It was very quirky.3. Design. The earhook is a much stronger design, than the 510 hook. It will not break like the 510 hook did.4. More hygienic. The 510 had a foam/spongy earpiece that collected or absorbed earwax over time (and I cleaned my ears every day). Also, the ear speaker broke, but the 510 had a spare included. The 520 used a rubber cone-type ear speaker, which is rubber. It does not appear to absorb wax, and can be cleaned with a wipe or some rubbing alcohol. You could not do that with the 510.Take it from someone that had both. It's no comparison. Get the 520.Update 5-21-10. I am lowering my rating to 1 star. The above is still true. However, the earclip broke, on what was a perfectly working headset. What is so bad about that? This is now the second different model Plantronics headset that the earclip broke while the unit was still working. I cannot believe how such a wonderfully working and engineered headset, would have such a crappy earclip. The problem is that the earclip is 2 different pieces. The upper black part is black plastic, which is glued to a lower part which is a translucent silicone. I glued it numerous times, and it kept coming apart. It's amazing how companies can make such great products, like Apple's IPOD or IPhone, which does not have something as easy as a removable external battery. Put Plantronics in this company. Great headset, poor earclip. They are 2 for 2 in that category.

If you want a bluetooth that picks up all the sounds around you, this is for you. When i'm driving people complain that the background sound is distracting, and they can hear everything that's happening around me.It is comfortable, but it's very annoying that it picks up all the sounds around you..

This is a great headset!* Call clarity is great.* It easily paired with my iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4* It's compatible with iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 voice dialing.* The unit holds a charge for at least a week without needing to be recharged.* The unit is easy to use while it's on your ear - the rocker/push button switch makes it easy to place and end calls, adjust the volume or power on/off the unit. Audible tones alert you to the unit power up, and shutting down.Would recommend to anyone - Plantronics makes a great product!

Lots of other reviews, so I'll focus on using this while running / exercising.Went running for the first time with this and my Blackberry Tour. Easy to connect, great stereo sound. While running, though, the mouthpiece does slide a little bit with each step, so every once in a while, you do need to adjust it so it doesn't fall out. Also, I did get a loss of connection to the phone intermittently (just a note or one beat long), for which I do not know the cause.Otherwise, it's wonderful. Sound quality is great for music and on calls - the mike picks up very well. It's incredibly light, so running with it on is great.I think the only think I might have done is to have a solid over-the-head band (like traditional Walkman headphones back in the day) for exercising. The current set up will never cause you problems during non-impact use.FOLLOW UP: I replaced the right earpiece with the next size up and now it holds in tight for at least 10 minutes of running. So, I only even NOTICE I have this thing on after 10 minutes, when I feel it start to work its way out. That is fabulous. It doesn't skip music outside of NYC. I don't know why. Maybe so many signals in the city? I am told that I sound far away when using it for the phone.I can recommend this product wholeheartedly.

cons : I want to like the product, but my first one the the units usb conector (on device) would no longer hold(attach to) the usb dongle to charge making it unusable.(after 4 months)The 2nd one I had, the pause button stoped working which I used frequently (after 3.5 months).pro's battery life was ~5 to 6 hrs constant use, it doubled as an ear plug as I frequent noisy arears, and the ear clip was ok.having to replace it every 4 months for problems has caused me to look into other products like the jabra line which seem to be a little more hardy.

I've owned a number of bluetooth headsets over the years and find this to be the best unit yet. The unit doesn't have an over-the-ear loop, which I found cumbersome to put on, take off, and in general, uncomfortable. It does insert into the ear with a simple quarter turn, is comfortable and stays put. The sound quality is excellent, even in wind and around other people. The on-off is definitive and superior to my previous Jawbone device.I love the carrying case, which also doubles as a charging case. I travel a lot and need to protect the device when I'm on a plane and its not in my ear. This case thoroughly protects the device from being crushed while stored away in my laptop travel bag.After owning multiple products over the last 5 years, I can say with confidence that the folks at Plantronics put a lot of thought into the overall design and features of this device. This is BY FAR the best unit on the market. I highly recommend it for the high usage owner.

I wasted several hours trying to get this headset to work. I thought maybe the problem was with my bluetooth dongle, so I tried it with my phone. The phone couldn't connect either. It is comfortable, though. Too bad it doesn't work with any of my devices.

I've owned two of these. The first one lasted nearly 2 years of daily use even though I often dropped or smashed it. It took a little while for me to figure out which ear piece fit most comfortably, but once I did I was able to wear the headset all day without it irritating my ear. I love the abiltiy to switch to stereo without having to pair a different device. The sound, while not being a full or loud as a corded headset, is good. The controls are easy and intuitive. Unless something better hits the market, I intend to purchase another in 2 years when this one wears out.

-Quirky to pair to phone.-Sound quality very tinny.-Finish chipped very easily.-Ear piece starts slipping within a week.Ordered new ear pieces, and the ear bud broke off when I tried to gently clean it in preparation for the new ear piece. This is the third product I've had from Plantronics, and have been disappointed in each. I have bought each after reading reviews, thinking they got it right on this one. Sorry to say that this is the last product I'll buy from Plantronics. Not sure why they get good reviews.

Pros: lightweight, good reception both ways--I hear clearly and others hear me clearly.Cons: The indicator light to turn the headset on and off is directly below your thumb whenever you are pressing the button, so it's hard to tell when the device actually turns on or off. The ear piece does not fit snug into my ear, so the whole headset is kind of floppy on my ear (I am about 6'3" and 210lbs, so my ears might be a little bigger than average???). Volume is WAY TOO LOW. Read the other reviews--it is nearly impossible to listen to someone on the other end if you are in a noisy environment.I would recommend this device but I would definitely explain the above precautions first.

I paid almost 50 bucks for this unit that I have wanted for years. It will not stay in my ear. Incoming calls are not picke4d up until the phone has rung 6 or 7 times and the phone rings even if I have it set to headset only. I have gone back to my wired headset and would return this unit if I could.

I like it better than the smaller ones I've purchased in the past but people still sometimes tell me they can't hear me well when I use it in the car. Also, it feels like it is going to fall off my ear (most bluetooth ear-headsets feel that way to me).

I switched to this one from a Motorola which just hanged off my ear. This thing fits nicely in my ear and can get loud enough for you to hear in almost any condition. I like the two phone use also even though I haven't tried it since I only have one phone. It's small so it doesn't stick out and the light is not so bright that all you see while driving at night it a blue flashing light.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!Okay, enough yelling :PI've tried everything with my dinky ears and problems with wind noise: every motorola, Discovery 510, Jawbone I & II, 975, some useless Samsung thing I don't even remember the number for. My nightstand looks like a Bluetooth graveyard. Either the sound quality was miserable or the things hurt my ear so badly that I'd toss them across the room after 30 minutes.The best one up until this was the 510, but it looked so dorky and still hurt. It also was useless in wind.Just got this one today, charged it up and gave it a spin. GREAT sound quality and no indication that it would hurt. The ear gels had me gellin' :DUnlike other reviewers, I did not find the volume or function buttons to be inconvenient, probably because they are in virtually the same places on the jawbone and the 510 I had.[...]I love the idea that the case will recharge the headset. Will report back in a few days after I've had a chance to completely test it out, but my hopes are high!!!

I actually own the 655, but it's got the same form-factor of the 650E. If the 650E doesn't have the crummy DSP that's in the 655, then it's a lot better. I had the old model 650 without the DSP and it worked fairly well with a RAZR. Then I got the 655 with the DSP stupidly thinking it would improve things. It didn't. Noise went up (for the other party) and the reception was so poor it always sounded gravelly/gargley on this end. Hopefully they use the same electronics in the 650E that they used in the 650 and it'll sound a lot better than my current one.I lost a couple of the earpieces wearing it in the stupid charger unit clipped in my pocket. It faces the earpiece outward in this use case, and any time you brush against anything, the earpiece pops off.The good news is, if you call up Plantronics support and tell them you lost your earpiece, they'll send you a new set, free. At least they did for me!On other topics also affecting the 650E -- it has the same buttons as mine. Yes, they're very hard to press and I have to mash the headset into my ear to click the button, but it works.All in all I like those earpieces; they hold well in my ear and I don't even use the ear clip. If only they didn't fall off all the time. You have to always carry it in a little bag of some kind to keep it from getting lost. I have a little pouch in which I keep the headset and the charging base (and sometimes the battery holder) so I can charge it when necessary. I also got an iGo tip for the native Plantronics base that I carry with it and can use with my iGo chargers with my PC or in my car.

Agree with all the positive comments written about this. (Sound quality, Weight, fit etc)But, after an year or so of mild use, the earloop has broken off and I am finding out now that it is not replaceable. I am going to try the superglue option but the issue of the earloop breaking off is definitely is a huge drawback for this model.

Pros-------1. Headset itself is very sleek2. Easy on ears3. Good sound quality4. Good range5. Pairing was simple. Didint even had to enter pin for iphone 3g(secure simple pairing)6. Overall the unit with the carrying case is sleek.7. Good to see plantronics giving 3 gel ear tips for different sizes.8. Multipoint technology - It worked with multiple mobile/bluetooth devices including my laptop.Cons---------1. Pricey2. No music or cell phone ring tone(it beeps when call comes) through the headset. UPDATE: This is no longer true. It was a function of the phone and not the headset. With the latest iOS on my iphone, ringtone does come thru from headset.3. Buttons are little clumsy. But if I look at the overall feeling, I cant complain :)

I specificly bought this Item for the multipoint feature so I could connect my desk phone and my cell phone to the same device. It works as advertised and the range is very good. I can walk around the whole office and around the corner and it wont drop the call. I know range can depend on the phone you are connected to but I can get 45'-50' before call quality starts to drop. Noise cancelation works OK its not the greatest but its better then none at all.Just a little hint on the multipoint settings, you have to go to plantronics web site and download the pdf from there. the instructions that came in the box do not specify how to enable multipoint.

Over the years, I've had several bluetooths, all of which were Plantronics. I was very happy with each and every single one of them. (I would need a new one because I would lose it, or the dog would chew it up on several occasions.) I found a deal on this one, and I went for it, expecting the same quality as the other Plantronics. Unfortunately, I'm not very happy with this one. Although the design physically isn't bad, the actual device hold up to par with other bluetooths (blueteeth?, haha!). The main concerns are that I sound muffled to the person that I'm on the phone with and the volume to hear the other person doesn't go very high. Then, there are little things here and there where there is brief static sounds, my bluetooth will disconnect itself once in while but that might be my phone, although I haven't had that trouble before, and I personally just don't like the plastic part that holds the bluetooth to the ear.

Pros:1.) It works... (sort of)..2.) Ships in a timely manner (under free shipping. 4 days)3.) Sync 2 Bluetooth compatible devices4.) Works with a Blackberry! (phew.. what a relief)5.) A good product for the average "cheap" person6.) Doesn't signal a plane with a blue blinking light to land on one's big round or flat head... lol.7.) Charger looks cool...Cons:1.) Don't expect glamor, you won't find it in this device - in as much as i feel very silly walking around with it throughout the day, i wish it was smaller and lighter like my blueberry muffins... lol.2.) Conforms to my ears, but it's always a pain to yank that hook around my ear, again -- doing this in public to me feels a bit silly... lol.3.) The box says 33ft for range... LYAZ!!! lol... no such thing, by 10ft it's all rangy and distorted4.) I don't like the feeling of the hook around my ears, i'd rather one that i can just yank in directly, like an MP3 earbud of some sort which do exists, but those are waayy to expensive and realistically not necessary for me since i don't spend 24 hours on the phone.5.) Easily disconnects when not in range of 33ft... LOL!6.) Feels cheap... DON'T PUT THIS IN YOUR POCKET for too long and forget, lol you'll regret it...7.) They Say it's reduces Noisey Backgrounds... again, LYAZ!!! whoever i'm on the phone with can too hear every noice and crackle that's going on in the background.In a nutshell, for the price, it's horrible... i might as well had purchase the one for $17.78 on amazon without the "waaw, 2-way bluetooth pairing connection or the fancy cheap charger" I had commented on a user's review why she had to flat out give the product a 1-star rating, now i see why and i appologize... i feel your pain boo boo...PS. if you put your phone in your pocket with your bluetooth device in the ear, you can forget about clear communication... you can hear the person but it will be distorted, Oh' and for hahas... i actually put the phone (blackberry curve) in my RIGHT-backpocket and everytime i turn my head to the left to talk, lol the device would mute the person... lol funny! Seriously though, if you get this device you will have the urge to bring it back, IF you're on a tight budget, but will corp with it's defects because you're too lazy to take it back and go through the whole process in getting your money... ughhh!

Over the years I've owned several headsets including the Plantronics 510. When I took the Plantronics Voyager 520 for a test drive last week the first two things that stood out immediately was the overall comfort and the superb call quality. Even outside on a windy day, performance was better then I expected.Pairing up to both my cell phone and PDA was a breeze. Mounted with a flexible silicone ear hook, rotating to either ear takes just seconds. The earpiece has nice comfortable feel to it. So comfortable in fact that on more then one occasion I forgot that I was wearing it.Outfitted with a multifunction toggle, I easily controlled the volume by sliding the toggle forward or back. Answering, disconnecting, transferring and last number redialing was done with the touch of the button. The only ping on this product is that sometimes the toggle feels a little stiff. The onboard LED flashes an intermittent blue when fully charged and continuously when in use. I get a red flashing signal when my battery is low and a pink flashing to remind me of missed calls.I like the fact that I can pair it with more than one piece of Bluetooth gear. When I was in a crowded grocery store the clarity of incoming and outgoing calls was outstanding. With my older 510 model I was unable to wear it in that environment because of its tendency to pick up almost every surrounding noise. Callers also noted the improved clarity even when I was outside on a windy day. My battery life on this feather weight model was about 7 hours in talk mode during the week and 2 days on the weekend.The Plantronics Voyager 520 comes with a charging cradle, instructions and a one year product warranty. The company's website is loaded with useful information and lists working toll free technical support phone numbers.Overall I am quite pleased with my Plantronics Voyager 520 Headset. The quality and comfort has exceeded my expectations. Without a doubt this model is an economically priced, good piece of Bluetooth gear.

Let me start by saying I like this headset a lot. It's small, lightweight, and holds well in the ear, even without the "hooks". The call quality is very good, and it's easy to answer/end calls. I haven't yet tried out the voice dialing as I didn't need to.When listening to audiobooks it works fine, however there is lots of interference from other electronics, especially the microwave ovens. Sound quality is very good, again not listening to music, only books.Battery life seems decent, it takes about 3-4 hours of listening to deplete it. Pairing up is easy, however it doesn't auto connect all the time, but this could be due to my phone (HTC Magic).All in all I enjoy it a lot and would recommend it to a friend./Bogdan

I recently was very curious based on the 'on' and 'off' reviews of this headset. The most vital part about having this headset is to replace the eargels with some high end ones. Thats all you need. I am professional musician and read another review stating to get the Etymotic ER6i eargels and stretching them on to fit. It made a DRAMATIC difference in the tonality of this stereo bluetooth. Its much better than the original earbuds provided with this headset. For 9 dollars more to buy a 5 pack of those right here on Amazon, to get better sound quality I found it completely worth it, especially with a price just under 32 dollars for this headset. I cant even complain about getting better eargels since its those little nuances that we often mistake as product error.

This is my 4th Plantronics headset (wired and bluetooth) and I m very disappointed with it. My last one an Explorer 220 was comfortable enough to wear all day, sound quality was excellent for both rec, and trans. This 390 is not. The ear holder cuts into my skin, and the ear piece also irritates after about 2 hours. Sound quality for rec. is good but trans. is poor, people I talk to always tell me my voice is distorted or muffled. I would not recommend it.

Very small and lightweight. This one replaced the previous model Discovery 925, that one simply died exactly 2 weeks AFTER the one yr warranty expired. Imagine that! It's been about 5 weeks and I love this one. Great looks and the sound quality is very good. It cancels noise quite well. The case is FABULOUS. I love that this new model has a mini indicator screen on the case to show you how much power remains on the headset and the case. Very nice feature. My only minor complaint is I find it a little difficult to turn on and off when pressing the voice tube. I find my finger covers the red or white light on/off indicator, making a little difficult to tell if I actually turned it off. Other than that, I am VERY pleased. Definitely recommend for all the divas out there.

Great product - my last headset, the jawbone prime completely distorted my speech (in almost all cases) and was very uncomfortable. This is the first headset I have that I am able to use in my convertible w/ the top down (driver/passenger windows rolled up) on the highway. The listener could hear some wind noise, but it was low enough not to impact our call. The listener was amazed that I was on the highway with the top down.My last two headsets - the BlueAntz z9 and the Jawbone prime were not up to this challenge.

Purchased the Plantronics 855 blue-tooth stereo headset it paired perfectly to my blackberry storm charged it according to instructions (3 hours first time) and listened to 4 hours continuous music with little drain to my phone battery the voyager battery quit first. If there is one weak point to the headset it is where the ear loop plugs in to the main earpiece. I recommend leaving this in as much as possible as opposed to constantly plugging it in and out. And be careful when donning and doffing the headset if it snags the ear loop contact is where it will break. Sound quality was good with good upper volume. The headset is one of the most comfortable ones I've owned and I would highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a good quality headset and the price on Amazon is unbeatable.

Easy to wear. Very comfortable. You can tell it's there. The earloop looks flimsy but very durable.No windfilter. People have difficulty hearing you in extremely windy weather.Sound quality is great. Buttons are small but easy to press and adjust volume etc.
