The Plantronics Discovery 975 Bluetooth Headset is a fairly compact and very nicely designed Bluetooth headset that also comes with a unique charging case.The headset itself is made of high quality materials and has one button on the front to power the headset and answer/transfer calls. There is another button on the side of the headset that controls the volume (although only in 3 steps) and mutes the microphone. The headset is silvery and has a leather-like finish on the outside. It's very classy and professional looking. The only design misstep is that it is quite deep and looks large off the side of your face.The little leather charging case is made of a very high quality, supple leather with a magnetic closure. You dock the headset into the case, and the case's built in lithium-ion battery can recharge the headset's battery two times. Therefore, if you've fully charged both the case and the headset you have three complete charges until you need to plug them in again and charge them. It's very convenient and a great idea. There is a little LCD on the front of the case that shows both the case and the headset's charge level. The charger that comes with the phone can be plugged directly into the headset or the case. The charger's plug pops off and can be replaced with international adaptors you can purchase separately as well.The headset connected easily with my iPhone 3Gs and Nokia N96. The sound quality was good and callers said they could hear me fine. I tried the headset in a very noisy environment (standing about 1 foot from a very loud stereo) and, while I struggled a bit to hear the caller, they said they could hear me fine even when I was talking at a normal volume. The WindSmart technology seems to work well too. I made a call while standing directly in front of a room fan on high, and the caller could hear me just fine, but did not hear the fan or any wind noise at all.The biggest issue I had with the headset concerned fit. It comes with three rubbery silicone ear tips (S, M, L), but I found the medium sized one a bit small, while the large one was way too big. Therefore I never felt like the headset was securely attached. I realize fit is very personal, but this particular headset did not feel comfortable to me.All in all...If you find it fits you well, you'll be very happy.03/16/2010 Update: After using the headset more, even though I'm not thrilled with the way it fits, I'm liking it more and more. Arrival time precisely as scheduled. Opening the packaging box, the product was in absolute perfect condition. So thank you Amazon for taking the time and care to properly ship your packages. The Plantronics 520 device is SO light and comfortable that once you put it on your ear, after a short while, you'll completely forget it's there! The receiving end is extremely clear, and my friends say that they can hear me perfectly clearly, even better than on just my phone. Yes, there is wind resistance to it, is it perfect? No. However, it does provide some blockage to a windy environment, normally enough for the other end to hear you properly. If you're looking for a simple, VERY clear, extremely light bluetooth, look no further. It's not perfect, but it's damn well close. I have been using this bluetooth for a year now, and the only problem I have had is that the piece that goes into your ear is made of some kind of rubber material, and after extended use will wear out and tear... but I did not have this problem for over 8 months of everyday use. 5 star rating to this one; and definitely much more cheaper on Amazon than my Best Buy store price of $69.99.

If you are wondering if this device would fill your expectations, well... here is what happened with my case.I bought it to use it with 2 main devices, my nokia cellphone and my Dell Laptop, specially with my dell laptop for skype and x-lite softphone.Good thing it worked perfect, bad news it did't work plug&play.The way I finally had it working was after installing Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 Driver for Windows Vista (64-bit), before that won't load the right driver meaning that it did connect but no sound at all.Nokia Phone worked in less than 30 secs!The only Con so far is the volume, I tried any setting with no good results, so I will continue pressing it against my ear for a while before I get another one.

I've just started using it, but it had no problem "pairing" with my iPhone. The earpiece is comfortable, other people can hear me and I can hear them. Problem solved.

Every single time I used this headset (at home, no noise at all) to call some company, every single time I was asked the same thing - "TO SWITCH OFF MY SPEAKERPHONE AS THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO HEAR ME WELL"Hope you found my review helpful. Please be aware of this product. Not worth your money and time.

I first purchased this unit about 2 years ago, and forgot about it until my husband found it and started using it. I looked for a replacement and purchased the samsung wep460 instead based on the positive reviews on amazon. the samsung was cheaper for sure, at only $11 I think. Boy, what a mistake! the samsung hurt my ear lobes soooo much. my husband and friends also mentioned that the sound quality was terrible. I normally never return anything to amazon unless it's defective but i had to return the samsung. i decided to go with this plantronics model again and am SOOO GLAD i did. it is 100 times more comfortable and the sound quality is superb. i would definitely recommend this unit, it is awesome and will prevent you from getting a ticket and well worth its cost!

I have had several Plantronics Bluetooth headsets,This one works fine, paired easy, has good controls,however, it is not made to use with a lot of back ground noise, you can hear, but the person on the other end has trouble hearing over the noise.Maybe in an office or for home use it would be OK.

I just purchased this and have been using this for a few weeks. I noticed that it did not block the wind as it was advertised. Whenever I am outside on a windy day, no one could hear me on the other end. Also, when I moved my phone a little bit far away such as more than 5 feet, it began to have static noise. I would not recommend this model. I thought since I bought Plantronics, they should be better than the Jabra brand but it did not. The battery life seems to last longer than the jabra brand model that I had.updated: If I can give this a zero star, I would. I could not hear the person on the other end and so did he whenever I am outside and it was not even windy. When the phone was about even 3 feet away or in my pocket, I could tell that the sound quality began to degrade. Do not buy this Plantronics Voyager 520.

I bought the Discovery 975 based on the positive reviews, but I was severely disappointed. With the first headset I received the person I was talking too sounded distant and was additionally hard to hear because of a constant crackling, hissing noise that would not go away. I returned it and Amazon promptly sent a replacement. (Kudos Amazon! Great service as always!) The second one I received was much better. People I talked too didn't sound distant and the white noise was practically gone. (Though the call quality was still no where as good as if I talked directly with the phone itself. I'm not sure if that's just how bluetooth headsets are.) The headset worked fine for the first month and then all of a sudden it would start cutting in and out and eventually disconnect me from calls if I talked for more than a minute. I'm sure it's a good product overall, but QC is slipping at Plantronics. It's time to give another headset a chance.

I've now owned 3 of the Plantronics Voyager 520 units, all electronically superb, but all of which had the same problem. The soft plastic loop earpiece becomes unglued and falls off, making it unusable. I've tried re-gluing (sp?) it, but to no avail. The first 2 units were, luckily, replaced by Plantronics under warranty. What a nuisance! I kept hoping that Plantronics had fixed this problem. Why can't Plantronics find a better glue, make a 1-piece earpiece, or supply replacement soft loops for the 520? Any ideas on how to reglue the loop?

I bought this item due to the charging attractiveness, as you can charge it from your computer or in the car (included in package). This prevents adding one more type of AC charger. As I travel for consulting, it is a benefit to not have to take a AC charger, but charge with your PC or in the car.First of all, Amazon is perfect. Best prices, fast free shipping and hassle free return for the first item that was incorrectly shipped by them. 5 stars to Amazon.Seeing all the good reviews, I bought this model. Pairing is simple. Charge, turn it on, turn your phone's bluetooth on. Press the right buttons to pair it and you are all set.My problem has been dropped connections. Sometimes the connection would last 5 minutes, usually less. Then the connection would break with the phone. It is painful that you are talking into your headset hands free. Suddenly, you have to find the phone once you hear the tone that the connection broke.I am planning to return this item, as it has become useless and it is gathering dust in my car dash.I used to have a Motorola HS20 or something that costed $20 few years back and it had better connectivity then this one.

I am on the phone constantly. My two biggest concerns are call quality and battery life. I tried the new Jawbone, Plantronics Voyager Pro, and the Discovery 975. After this trial, I kept the Discovery.Audio Quality1. Jawbone2. Discovery 975 and Voyager equalThe audio quality on the Discovery 975 was definitely NOT as good as the Jawbone, whose noise cancelling was far preferable. On my old Jawbone, I often called people from airports right under the speakers and people didn't even know I was in the airport. With the Discovery and Voyager, people definitely comment on hearing background noise. Once with the Discovery 975, I was opening a printer paper package. My caller said it sounded like a lightening storm. A similar noise wouldn't have garnered a comment on the Jawbone.Battery Life1. Discovery 9752. Voyager Pro3. Jawbone PrimeThe recharging case for the Discovery 975 is the deal maker for me. If you use a blue tooth headset less than 4 hours per day, I would definitely chose the Jawbone Prime. However, the battery life and battery charging case on the Plantronics means that I can use the headset all day instead of 4 hours. My Jawbone was usually dead by noon. With the Discovery, I can talk on it for two hours, head into a meeting, tuck it into its protective case, and its recharged and ready at the end of the meeting. I am on many many conference calls, often ones where I am not actively in the lead. The in-ear molded fit is the feature that sold me. I've always had trouble with other brands I've tried falling off with little movement or head tilting to cause it. Some models have an on/off switch (240, 385, perhaps others) which I like. All are easy to use. One of the 835s actually survived the washing machine. When I lose one, I only look at Plantronics for replacements.

This is my first experience with bluetooth devices so this review is not based on a comparison to other devices but my novice experience.Pros: It's decently priced, easy to set up, works well synced to multiple devices (I've had up to 4 at once), and has decent range (about 15 ft with little static). It took about two weeks to get use to the feel of it but I would consider it comfortable now (I've worn it for up to 60 minutes with little discomfort).Cons: Slight static can occur when I have the phone on the other side of my body than the headset but this doesn't always occur. It's impossible to know the battery level and since it beeps regularly (multiple devices causes that) its guesss work to know when the beeping means low battery. It would be nice if there was some kind of PC software or phone app available that could read the battery level, no idea if this exists or is even possible.Conclusion: Would recommend to others. Seems fine for new bluetooth users, and long duration use.

I've purchased two of these over the last couple years, and frankly, they just don't hold up. On both of them, the button has broken in under a year, making it difficult if not impossible to work the thing, as everything goes through the one button. It's small, and cheap plastic. I don't use mine that much, at most every couple of days, and only in the car. Looking for a better build quality headset.The headset seems fine while it lasts, but because of the limited lifetime, can't recommend it.

This blutooth device was easy to setup and was very comfortable. But, it has a very short range when away from the paired device. If the paired device (phone) is on the opposite side of the bluetooth headset, it statics as if your phone is losing signal. The volume is ok but i need a device that is louder and clearer. The 520 isnt the device for me but will work for now until i can find one that meets my needs.

I could say a lot about this product, but there are a ton of reviews out there, some of which are really good, that sum it up.When I was buying this my biggest concern was how well the sound cancelling worked. My conclusion is that it works great...for some stuff. I drive a Jeep Wrangler (about the noisiest ride you can get these days), so I wanted something that would allow me to talk on the phone while driving. This did the trick. The caller on the other end couldn't even tell I was driving. even with the window down at slow speeds was acceptable.So what does it not do:1. wind...I've never seen a headset that did a good job with wind, and this one, while probably does near the top of the pack, don't think that you are going outside on a breezy day and talking on this headset.2. discreet background noises...if you understand how noise canceling works this shouldn't be any surprise to you but for those of you that don't, realize that noise cancellation removes repetitive "white" background noise. Because of this, some things can sound louder on the other end of the phone because they are not lost in the white noise (e.g. car horn).On the comfort thing...some people say it is uncomfortable. I think that may be because they are used to earbuds that get jammed into the ear. If you force this thing in, you are wearing it wrong...it should rest very gently (as if you think it might fall off) on your ear...I have never had mine fall off. If you have it on right, you can easily wear it for an hour or two with no discomfort.Again, overall the best set I have ever had and recommend it highly. I liked it so much that I bought another for my wife.

You either get a great sound no distance...great distance horrible sound or great distance great sound and too big of headset...with this one..the distance sucked!!! I couldnt go 10 feet without it starting to disconnect. And not to mention it didnt even sit in the charger station the way it showed other than that the sound and comfort was great. But I need distance dont want phone near dishes or bathroom.

Bluetooh Care Never calen it with any harsh cleaning produces. Be carful not to yanke off your ear that can break the earloop hook and dmage the ruber peace that goes in your ear be carfull don;t drop it let it get wet. I use a Lense Cloths you can get at any eye Galss store i wipe it down afer each use it's Clean and read to use.

Okay, well I first got this and decided to wait a little while before posting a review seeing that I hadn't been able to really see how good/bad it was. At first I read through some of the reviews and saw people complaining about the volume level whilst others praised it. At first I had to agree with the complaints seeing that I couldn't hear damn near anything, but I played around with it and found that turning the volume up on the headset itself wasn't all that was needed (at least for my Pantech Matrix). As it turns out, while in a call, I accidentally hit the volume up button on my phone and saw that the headset turned up by itself only turned the volume up to 4, which I then turned as high as I could which was 15. Needless to say, I could hear everything even while putting up with loud passengers who also decided to turn up the stereo. Sound quality on my end was perfect, I can hear just about everything except for when my reception isn't too great. As far as how I was coming out, I left a recording on my home phone's answering system with the stereo turned up fairly loud, and I heard myself perfectly clearly with very little background noise.The headset also has the nifty feature of redialing whoever you called last at the simple push of the button twice. Sadly my phone doesn't have voice dialing, but it is capable of it. Other people complained about the docking mechanism not being all that great and "complicated" to set up, which I honestly think is ridiculous. Sure it would've been nice if it came already assembled, but all I had to do was slide the bottom out, put the plug through the hole and slide the bottom back on. It took all of a 30 seconds or so. The docking itself though is iffy. I thought that it slid into the dock and charged that way, like a cordless phone does more or less, but in fact it clips onto the plug and can come off if bumped awkwardly but overall not that big of a problem. Definitely 5 stars. Easily synced with my phone too which I've had trouble with in the past with it not wanting to be that cooperative, but not in this case. Plantronics has lived up to their name with this headset.

This is the first wireless headset where I have found the quality of the device and communication (on both ends) to exceed my expectations. I am not the type of person who can drop hundreds on the latest Bluetooth. This was the perfect compromise to price and quality. I wanted a wireless headset to avoid getting a ticket while using my cell phone in the car, and avoid using speaker phone since the quality is usually lousy.When I'm using this headset, the person on the other end typically doesn't even notice that I'm using a headset. Background noise is significantly reduced. The volume is also plenty loud enough to hear the other person! (I've noticed for some reason the volume levels on these things can really be terrible, and I don't think I have bad hearing!)Bottom-line is.. great device, good price, good quality (Plantronics is great). Best Bluetooth I've owned hands downs.

This revision would also include a change to 4 stars, but it doesn't look like I can change the star rating. I originally submitted a review indicating no voice dialing. I was wrong. The owners manual that came with the headset did not have any info on voice dialing, but I discovered it by accident the day before I intended to return it. When I went on line I discovered the on-line manual had 2 extra pages that explained voice dialing and last number dialed. Since then I have used it and tested it side by side next to the Jawbone. I have to say that my opinion from the first 24 hours has changed. I have tested at least 6 different headsets all costing $100+ and until now the Jawbone blew them all away. This Plantronics 975 is a solid competitor.Pros: great fit and very comfortable; better fit than the Jawbone and stays in place. light weight, no ear loop; easy to use; though I originally complained about the small difficult buttons, now that I have gotten use to them they are actually very easy to use. Good sound quality. Easy pairing. Long battery life. Easy charging case you can carry with you so no need to use cables. It will give you 3 full charges from 1 charge of the case.Cons: noise reduction is fair, better than most but not as good as Jawbone. You have to turn off TV or radio to voice dial; it will not block the outside noise like the Jawbone and therefore cannot identify your voice commands. Volume only has 3 settings as opposed to the 5 on my phone and the Jawbone. If you move away and lose the bluetooth signal it will only reconnect if you move back into range within 1 minute; after that you have to remember to manually reconnect. Support could not answer my questions and agreed to have an engineer call me back within 3 days; never heard from them. My only experience with Plantronics so don't know if this is normal or just a bad rep.If you don't care about background noise then this is a great headset; if noise reduction is important then the Jawbone is best. I prefer the fit of the Plantronics and how it doesn't shift down from the weight like the Jawbone. I haven't decided yet which I will use; both are great headsets, so I switch each day from one to the other until I make up my mind. If noise reduction was better and it had auto reconnect I would definitely choose the 975.

I get noise when using this device. Also, the people I talk to tell me they cannot hear me well. I'm returning this and ordering a different type. Except for the noise it works well. It holds the charge, it was easy to pair with my phone, an LG Rumor touch. It looks ok, I can answer, hang up and redial the last number without having to use the phone.

Comfortable style. Worked well for about 6 months but the battery went bad. The unit was NOS (New Old Stock) which explains the battery failure. Plantronics sent me another one which worked for about a year before the battery life degraded. Have since bought the newer style which is similar (worn behind the ear)and works great.

I have been searching for a comfortable Bluetooth headset for years. My previous one was an Etymotic Research etyBLU Dual-Mode Noise-Isolating Bluetooth Headset. I liked the look of the boom because it looks like I am wearing a headset and talking on the phone. The smaller headsets are too small, and people don't realize I am on the phone. I also liked the boom because it picks up my voice louder over ambient noise.This is by far the most comfortable headset I have worn. I have had difficulties with headsets that use rings to attach around the ear. They seem difficult to take on and off, and fall off easily. The ring on my etyBLU eventually broke through the rubber hinge. I have also tried headsets with an in-ear rubber plug that was both uncomfortable and prone to falling out. The Plantronics uses a rubber stabilizer that wedges itself lightly on the ribs outside the ear canal. I haven't tried running with it (seems like it would hold), but it certainly holds up to brisk walking and head movements. The headset is amazingly easy taking in and out. Literally pop in and out... no adjustments necessary!Calls are very clear and loud with this headset. I used to have to bury the headset in my ear just to hear conversations. It also pairs very nicely with my iPhone 3GS. Volume controls are shared with the phone. The on-board volume button is a hard to find on this headset, unless you know what to feel for... but unnecessary as I can use my phone to adjust it. I rarely read directions, so I went ahead and tried pairing by holding the Bluetooth headset button for a few seconds. With my iPhone ready, presto, it paired right away! I don't really use the voice activated features, instead using my iPhone interface.Call quality is absolutely incredible. Any disruption to the calls is caused by AT&T, not the headset. It is so comfortable, I can easily wear it for hours. The rechargeable carrying case is a neat idea. I am also a big fan of the iPhone recharging case. It makes it easy to add a little bit of juice while on the road. Plantronics makes amazing headsets for office phones, and they bring the same perfection to Bluetooth headsets. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Headset came earlier than expected, price and shipping were very good (low cost). Headset had to be charged over night to work, works great, good reception, decent battery life. Would not hesitate to refer purchase to others.

I had to return this bluetooth because when the person I got it for would call me, the background noise was so loud that I got a headache. It didnt' matter if he was in the car or walking around outside, whenever I was talking the background noise would quiet then because it has a feature that switches over to my mic, but when I'd stop this blast of noise would come. Very annoying. I tried reseting it, didn't make any difference. Tried pairing it with my phone, didn't help. One good note, Amazon was very good about taking it back and even refunded me the shipping to send it back!

I already own one of these and wanted another for back up when I go on trips and are away from methods to charge it. The noise level is low to none and the incoming speech is crystal clear. I love that I don't need to keep looking, "This is it! The price is awesome!

I won't claim that this is the nicest head-set out there, but its certainly one of the best for the lower end of its price-range.In fact, I have two of these now. Even though I have a couple of other head-sets at the ready, I decided that I liked my first Voyager 835 sufficiently well to use get a second.These are light-weight enough that I can sleep while wearing one (though not lying atop it). The battery life is quite good, as is the noise cancellation. The ear-hook switches sides in a manner that doesn't require detaching it from the head-set.

First and foremost, the battery life on this bluetooth device is fantastic. I should note that I use it to play on my ps3. The best part is that the bluetooth can be used while it is charging. The key is to already be using it when you connect it to the charger. If you do it the other way around, it won't work.Second, it is small and sleek. I know there are smaller ones out there but I can't imagine anyone finding this to be too bulky.Third, the listening volume is more than adequate.Fourth, the microphone does pick up a bit too much noise but that is the only negative that I can think of.Fifth, extremely easy to connect to devices. So far I've connected it to my ps3, my smartphone, and my car with no problems.

Headset was Christmas gift bought right here on Amazon. Having tried it for over a month now, I simply cannot give it 5 stars.Good: The sound quality is good, both sending and receiving, indoors and even outdoors in the wind. Light weight, small and good looking. Lack of over the ear loop means no sore spot after a long day or long call. Charging case is nice, and the headset does not shut off while in case, one can grab it from case and answer call. Although product info says charging case extends calling time, that's not quite accurate. It does not extend talk time without charging, only without plugging it in. Still, that's good if one is away from an outlet.Bad: I'm sure some find the fit good, for me, it's painful. The earpiece is too large, and the gel cover only makes it larger. Three sizes of gels are included. With the larger 2 sizes, it simply doesn't fit at all. With the smallest it still falls out of the ear because the fit isn't right. Not because it's too small, because it doesn't fit far enough into the ear to be snug. Have nearly lost the thing several times while out walking, but even just inside working, it falls out. Someone with larger ears will probably have a better experience. This bluetooth does not have voice dial and redial capabilities. For driving, stop, grab phone, place call, stick in headset, drive, talk, call gets dropped, repeat. Call answer/disconnect button is stiff to push. Volume level goes 1,2,3,4 back to 1... Meaning if it's on level 2 and too loud, one must go louder before getting to quieter.Conclusion, Although the good features are very nice, I will be going back to my old Motorola bluetooth until something better comes along. This one will go in the pile of things which didn't work out. That's just sad.

I FINALLY found a comfortable bluetooth headset that is loud enough, clear enough on both ends, and lasts a long time! Seems I've been wasting my money on other ones, and there's always SOMETHING about it that I didn't like. On one, the outgoing sound was bad, so people were always asking me to repeat things.. another one, I couldn't understand them.. yet another one, it didn't go loud enough! What good is a bluetooth if you can't understand people?? Basic function for a phone people!Thankfully I finally found one that has it all, and it's under $100. I was afraid I was going to have to pay hundreds of dollars to find a decent one.I also like the fact that you hold both buttons down until the red light flashes, and it tells you how low your battery is, by how many red flashes it does. Also, that it takes a micro usb to charge it.. same as my cell phone, and a lot of others now. Glad they're all kind of making them the same so you're not constantly having to buy spare chargers & such. Pretty nice little headset! Absolutely love it!

The Plantronics Voyager 500 series is a comfortable BT for me, but the Silicon overear piece wears out fast and breaks off. When the ear hanger breaks you are OUT OF LUCK --- GAME OVER! Plantronics will only replace it one time under their 12 month warranty. The technology is good but the functionality and durability of the product is inferior, truly inferior. For a product that sells for $99 I would expect better durabilty, better longevity. I will never buy a Plantronics product again mainly because of the inferior durability. If you buy it expect it to last no more than 12 months, tops.

The audio quality of this Bluetooth earpiece is great. The signal is quite strong. It is not heavy and it stays in my ear even if I did try to wiggle my head forcefully. Pairing it with my LG CU-720 is easy, hold the call button until the LED blinks red and white and the phone instantly recognized it. To receive a call, just tap the call button once; to end a call just tap the call button once. Voice commands is also easy to initiate, but I really never seen any thing that really works (Have you seen Ozzy Osbourne in that episode where he tried to talk to his BMW [well of course nobody understand Ozzy anyway]. As with similar Bluetooth devices, you have to be within 33" or 10 meters between the headset and the phone.It only takes less than 2 hours to charge it. In fact, one and a half hours to charge both the charging case and the earpiece. When you are running out of battery, you will hear spoken words like "battery low" or "recharge" depending how much juice is left, no guessing game. Put it back in the case which is a portable charger in itself, and it will give you extra time on the go (provided you did not forget to charge the case).Construction wise, this product is a work of art. The earpiece has a simple design but is quite elegant with a touch of leather. There are only two buttons. The volume and the call button. Talk about very minimalistic design. Both buttons are multi-function for mute, power, pairing, and more. You have 3 strange looking clear silicone buds in various sizes to choose from.The charging case likewise is a beaut; again it expresses simplicity and built with a nice pseudo-leather material. It closes with a neat magnetic flap. Case is hard enough to provide ample protection. The case has an LCD panel that shows you the charging state for both devices. It includes a key chain holder if you want to hang it in your pocket or belt (which I will not for fear of dropping and losing it). A mini USB cable is included, albeit I wish it could be longer.The wind noise protection works decently as my wife can attests to while I am away watching my kid practice on the soccer field.Minor annoyance: The main body barrel is a bit thick that it extends visibly from the ear. The speaker maybe flushed, but not the body.

First off, I really wanted to like this headset. It had form, function & class written all over it, the charger is pretty sweet too, But when it all came together it was horrible. The Voyager Pro is a fairly new headset, I loved it; I left it in a diner, and it was gone by the time I returned to claim it. I was crushed. I hope Karma get's that thief! Well I headed to the store to pick up a new one, this headset was winning ton's of awards; I was excited. I was amazed that they were able to fit the same tech of the pro into the 975; but boy was I wrong, actually they were wrong, this headset is not even close. The sound quality when connected to my 3g mytouch was terrible. Static sounds and people said I was echoing; I was in my small home office. I took this out side to test it, things just got worse; My voice was choppy, static and the caller was static with some sort of weird hum sound; I ended up with a headache. It wasn't so horrible that I couldn't hold a conversation, but I could see myself hating this in a week or so. Why would I settle when the cheaper model performs better? well I unpaired it from my phone, and paired it again, in hopes of making it work, nothing changed. I google'ed ton's of forums and a lot of people are having these issues, especially 3GS iphone users. I can see why people might like this if your coming from a crappy headset, but if your coming from the Voyager Pro, you will be disheartened. I know the next version of the discovery will be amazing, but as of now, save your cash and pick up a Voyager Pro.. but if you must spend you money; go to see avatar in IMAX 3d or donate your savings. :)I'm going to return this and pick up my Voyager Pro again; it truly is the best bluetooth hands down even thought it makes me look like I work for dell tech-support...

Light weight, Stylish, Easy to Pair.Some slight noise interferance with the I Phone 3G but caller say they can hear me fine there is just a slight crackle in the earpeice when they are talking which is slighty anoying but livable!for a price point of $30 it's not bad value as it is very comfortable and easy to use all in all it's OK

I was very happy with this, my first bluetooth headset! Unfortunatly, I lost it yesterday. When I found it, it had been run over by a car in the street. It was not functional any longer, but I don't think plantronics warranties their headsets against car tires. But hey, it was still in one piece! Just ordered another to take it's place.

I've now had this for at least 6 months and its used daily while commuting. Works fantastic no static, no unwanted noise. I think it has background noise cancellation on it so haven;t had any complaints from listeners except when it is really outdoors. I use primarily in vehicle with windows rolled up and radio turned down or off.After 6+mo. of use my ear piece came off but otherwise great batt life and overall a great product. Easy to use and lightweight.

I live in California so I need a bluetooth headset should someone call while I'm driving. I also work on my computer so I'm familiar with OEM products. In this instance you get the same high quality Plantronics headset with charger and instruction manual AND this merchant threw in a car charger gratis. Basically OEM means you get everything you need and you can feel "green" because you don't have to throw away the box the product came in. Additionally, I can recommend this merchant as someone I enjoyed working with!

i have had my first one for two years works wonderfully. i work outside around large trucks and can hear and be heard and can hear well just ordered my second the first one still works although i broke the ear piece 6 months ago and it is taped on. i would recomend this to any one i used it with a razor and now a BLACKBERRY

I've been very pleased with the performance of the Voyager blue-tooth. It was easy to pair and after a little practice with the multi-switch on the headset it was also easy to use and convenient. I eventually found out that instead of adjusting the volume with the headset switch I could use the phone volume buttons to adjust the headset volume during a call. I like the shape of the Plantronics earpiece,this was the reason I purchased a Plantronics headset in the first place. It's comfortable and helps keep outside noise from interfering with hearing the conversation. It does pick up noises around you easily which could be an issue for someone using it in a noisy environment.

This is a great product. i only wish they had an upgrade with the same style but ability to plau music. This is the 3 rd one i have purchased ( not for myself) and the only issue woulbe if you dont take care of how you store you could damage the ear hook. But it is easily repaired with a little rubber glue.I recommend this as a bluetooth first purchase.
