I thought I was buying earbuds with a speaker for my cell phone and it does not do that. I can't return it because I discarded the packaging materials too quickly. It has fallen apart and I can't put it back together. I just wasted some money.

Well they certainly work great for binaural beats. The only thing that I didn't like was that you can't mute your mic or turn it down or anything of that sort, i'm thinking of just tearing it off as I don't need it lol.Overall though it's great for listening to music and whatnot.I did run into trouble though as I'm on Windows 7 64x, I had to alter quite a few settings.

I think that this headset is a very good deal, especially for the low price. The sound is great and others can hear me on the other end very clearly. The only thing is that the headset fits pretty tight around my head and I've got a regular sized head (7.5 hat size). And also this headset is not good is you travel a lot. The ear piece keeps on pooping off. It snaps right back on every time, though.

This headset was recommeeded on the Skype website; ordering these was the correct choice. Every person I have talk to remarks on the clearness of my headsets. I definitely reccomend these headset to however wishes a resonable price. The installation was quick and no other manipulation was needed for these to work on a Toshiba Laptop.

Initially headset was fine then after about 2 days there was a intermittant distortion of voice and sound, This was my second headset. A return to the one I was replacing both times elimated the problem. Saving Money to buy a better headset. Two bad ones in a row. Maybe? Nice other than this problem.

I got this product well over a year ago, and it's working better than expected for it's use. Any headphone/headset has a lifespan in terms of connection point issues. By this I mean you have to fiddle with the jack to get audio in both earpieces, or at all. Most of the time, with heavy use, I barely got six months out of a set. With these they are barely starting to have that issue, and I only need to fuss with them occasionally. For the price this was a great buy, and exceeded lifespan expectations for any pair of headsets at this price. After trying a more expensive USB set with the same lifespan as this style (around six months before the $80 set wore out), this was a nice surprise.Voice quality is great on the mic. I use this pair for Teamspeak and Ventrillo, and I come through clearly: no muffling at all. Of course they also free up my USB ports.The only real downsides are the cord length means the computer would need to be on the desktop (I have a tower PC set up like this), and the mic settings on the volume control have high, low, and mute unlike the volume which is a dial.

I purchased these for recording video tutorials,and using voice recognition software.The audio in the headset exceeded my expectations;unfortunately the microphone was the advertised selling point for me.I took a chance on these,hoping the other reviewers received flawed merchandise.When I recorded: the constant clicking sound was extremely obvious,and unacceptable, considering I bought them for clear voice quality.The recorded sound quality is good, but worthless with the clicking.It makes me wonder what the Skype certification process is.The microphone has absolutely no noise canceling.Voice recognition was dictating someone talking on the other side of the room.Natural breathing sounds like a hurricane, unless you raise the microphone up above your nose,and you can hear it coming through the headset in real-time...Thick plastic and it's curvature give this headset a vice-grip squeeze.It's also pretty glitchy...It started sounding like a voice communication through a wormhole on StarTrek,and then stopped sending signal a few times.I recently purchased the Sennheiser PC 36 USB Binaural Headset with Microphoneand can say it doesn't have any of the aforementioned problems.The recording quality is perfect for voice;so I would recommend them if that's your intended use.It is indeed USB;someone uploaded the wrong photo with the two 3.5mm plugs.

Music TV and general computer sounds come through loud and crystal clear. The built in Mic is perfect for doing training videos, Voice Overs, or using Skype. The built in Up and Down volume buttons are a very nice touch. These are also very comfortable headsets you can wear all day.

This headset delivers high quality sound and voice transmission and is easy to install/set up. There are a couple of quirks that can be problematic. The volume adjustments are on the outside of the earphone (which is better than the inside but still not particulalry convenient since you can't see them). The headset delivers an annoying level of feedback when the mute feature is activated by raising the microphone (more white noise than mute).

I use these for call center work at home. I was having problems finding a USB headset that had enough gain for me to hear well. I've been told more gain is possible for USB audio devices in the newer operating systems. It seems you need a good, loud headset for use with Windows XP. The software phone we use isn't very loud on some calls, even with all the volume settings all the way up. This headset works great! The mic quality is very good and they sound better than I expected for music too. Nice bass and the clarity isn't bad either. They aren't the most comfortable headset ever, but I wear them 8 hours a day with no serious discomfort. A little break-in seemed to help with comfort... My ears used to get a bit sore and they haven't lately.

I purchase this headseat about a yr and half ago. I was hesitate in making the purchase especially online. I had been searching everywhere for this type of headseat. I work from home, so this helpseat meets all the requirements I was looking for. I decided to make the purchase not only because I needed this item but because Amazon had it for a great price no other retailer could offer. This headseat is Great it could off been awsome if a mute button was added. Overall, Great at noise cancelling, comfort and sound. Especially for Electronic Music- awsome bass sound..

The sound and mic audio on the sending and receiving side of things is EXCELLENT! I work for convergys from home and this works well for a VOIP virtual phone system.Bottom line is it will all come down to what you like in a headset, you might find this one bulky or too heavy but that is a good thing as far as sound quality is concerned.

I'm sure if my software compatible it might have been a decent piece of equipment but as it was the directions were difficult to understand and it NEVER worked.Plus you add to that the fact the company where I purchased it from has nearly impossible return policies which means I'm stuck with it. Do not EVER,EVER purchase anything from ANTOnline unless you know how to get the product back into the original packaging, along with the original instructions in close to the same shape that it was sent to you (NOW HOW WOULD I HAVE EVER KNOWn WHETHER IT WORKED OR NOT IF I COULDN'T TAKE IT OUT OF THE PACKAGE). I made the mistake of throwing away the packaging as I thought there should be no problem with it as I'd had Plantronics equipment before. Well, even if I had the original packaging, along with the instruction manual, EVEN THEN I would have had to sent it back to them SO THEY COULD REVIEW IT TO SEE IF THEY WOULD EVEN TAKE IT BACK, which means not only would they have the product back where they could repackage it and sell it again but they could also deny a refund which means I would be screwed over twice.SOOOO, that being said DON'T EVER BUY ANYTHING THING FROM ANTOnline as their return policies are ridiculous. I ended up going to Wal-Mart and buying a Logitech headset/mic THAT WORKED. I attempted to get the Plantronics equipment to work for more than an hour so I feel I gave it more than a fair chance.

This product masquerades as an absolutely amazing headset. I bought it after hearing nothing but good things, however I have had it for one week, and the thing is busted.Loud chirping/static randomly emits from the headphones, even when there is no audio being played by my computer. The mic no longer works, and whenever I move the boom to my mic to try using it, loud screeching begins.The Plantronics website and warranty are of very little help. They've recently remodelled their site, and as such, when I tried to get help with my warranty it repeatedly told me that the page I was requesting had been moved. Furthermore, it states that you must be both the original purchaser AND over 18 to get your product replaced. If you bought this and you're under 18, you're out of luck.It's a terrible product, and I will never recommend Plantronics to anyone I know.These things broke after ONE WEEK!

For the price $11.48 you can't go wrong. Did have a bit of a problem with the audio jack at first and still have a problem with the balance being off when turn up the volume. When you turn up the volume very high at all one side is higher than the other and throws you off. Either have to then try and compensate with messing with the computer balance to make up for it or slide the higher volume side slightly off of your ear to make up for. If you adjust balance then you have to remember to adjust back to use the speakers which is a pain so just slide one side slightly off the ear to compensate. But what do you expect for the price. The fit is adjustable and rests comfortably for short to medium periods of time but longer periods starts to get uncomfortable. All in all a decent cheap headset.

This arrived very speedily--that was great. It was plug and play--that was great. For a LONG interview on Skype it was not so great. It is not, apparently, meant for my size head and would not stay in place. Sound quality seems OK, I tried on on Pandora but for that I will keep using the ear buds.

I have purchased 6 sets of these for myself and other people I do recordings with. While I DO love them for their price, comfort and functionality two of the six have broken. The sound doesn't come in through the headphones anymore but the mic still works. I believe this model has now been discontinued and I would be weary of buying any used. A great set but under heavy use not real reliable. Bummer. Loved these.

After looking around at more expensive headsets I decided to give these a try. After watching a movie for almost 2 hours I never had any problems with these hurting my ears. Using ventrilo during gaming I had no complaints about sound or mic quality (trust me these guys don't pull punches either). Sound quality is great and the swingable boom is a nice feature when not gaming. I prefer the USB connection that this headset has because it's easier to plug and play on different PCs, no matching colors and only one cable to plug in. Although the headset is comfortable to wear I was very disappointed in the "noise-canceling" headset. This is very annoying to people on the other line who consistently complain that it sounds like I'm typing in their ear (and I have a very quiet keyboard). Also, the setting for mute does not work - so be careful what you say! I had no issues hearing people on the other line though. This would be a great headset if you were doing doing Skype and not conference calls with typing...

I must say that the headphone was very, very horrible when I first started to use it. I head crackling and buzzing 1 hour in, and it just wouldn't go away. Then after a few days of using it, the buzzing went away, but now the microphone stopped working. i checked the cords, scanned it, and did a whole bunch of other things, however, it just wouldn't work. Now i don't know if this was just mine, or if others do that, but I am surely returning mine.

I never owned a headset of such great quality for such a reasonable price. It works perfect with Skype. Listening to music is a pleasure, especially to Keith Richards!!!! The delivery was lightning-fast, the customer service all it can be.

So amazon has been spamming my email account non stop to write a product review for this and after the experience i had with the headphones i must say i am dissapointed.The usb enclosure is not secured with a screw and because of that the entire plug literally exploded when the cord got yanked one day and yes i admit it was my fault but i think it shows a big lack of development on plantronics part, why no screw in the middle?So now i have to send them back to plantronics and come up with some story of how they got broken and hope they get replaced, cause now they are a thrity dollar paper weight.I wish i had gotten a wireless setup instead!

I really liked this headset - but it broke after 2 weeks of use. The volume control seemed to overheat maybe? I used it for a full day - noticed it was feeling warm and then - no volume! Otherwise the headset was comfortable with good sound quality. Needless to say I returned it -

I am so sorry that I bought this headset. I have been using Plantronics headsets for years and have always thought highly of the brand. This is a very disappointing unit as it hurts my ears the second I put it on. I don't usually complain about products but this is not worth the money at all.

I have used several head sets for pc's and this is by far the best one. the sound quality is great and with plantronics you know your money is being well spent. I like this head set so much glad I bought it. It is very affordible for such a high quality head set. you won't be disappointed when you buy it.

Plantronics .Audio 655 USB Multimedia Headset:Good sound, good mic, perfect for skype or listening to music. I was very pleased with it, but the USB plug head get separated from the cable easily after a few pulls, making mine unusable after a few months. If you have this unit, be gentle and don't pull on the cable. It does not have any strong connection that locks it in the casing, it will break out leaving the tip still struck to your computer USB port. I also bought the wireless one (Plantronics .Audio 995 Wireless Stereo Headset). If you consider buying the 655, don't forget to consider the wireless one which will not have this cable problem!

For the price, its great. Audio and mic functions well, volume and mute switch are handy. But the open cell foam earpads and pressure on the ears makes them sore after a few hours. So its fine for occassional use but I'm keeping it in my briefcase for travel use with my laptop. Got a Plantronics EncorePro HW301N for around $100 with leather earpads for all-day telemarketing work. It was worth it.

I really love the Plantronics Audio Headset I purchased. I needed it for a Webinar Presentation and it worked extremely well. The ear pieces are so comfortable and when wearing them no sound escapes to bother any other people in the room. The microphone is clear and there is no feedback or interference (like static or snaps). The only thing I miss is the on/off button. But that is the least important thing to really worry about. It's great and I recommend it for any meetings on-line, or just to listen to music.

Skype, online gaming, speech recognition, whatever... this is a CLEAR sound!I have used plantronics brand headsets in call center environments years ago and so when it came time to by one for skype I gave them a chanceI am quite satisfied by this productthe cord gives me enough length to stand up behind my chair and stretch without taking it offwhile pretty standard, the inline volume control and mute are handy too...my computer thinks mine is designed for left side wear based on my stereo channels but that's something I can switch with software...just keep in mind if you want to wear the boom mic on the right side of your face your stereo channels might be backwards...the ear speakers pop off/on easily have had to reattach unintentionally 3 times in a month...

It's a nice headset; it feels good on my head and the mic worked fine on my PC. The on-wire controls are pretty good, as well. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with the PS3. It will recognize the headset but I am not able to use the mic, for some reason. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong though.

Recording audio with this unit just did not work with my Windows Vista (32-bit). I had to return them. I did not notice the reviews here that mentioned the sound recording being off - wish I had. While trying to find a solution, I found some others in online forums having the same problem, but when recording with a Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 computer. It seems to be the issue. What happens is there is this awful click, click, click....or tick, tick, tick in the background when recording audio. I tried every suggested fix to no avail. It is possible to clean the "noise" out with Audacity, but why bother having to clean up the sound all of the time when recording.Also, as another reviewer said, the Plantronics .Audio 655 is too sensitive. I was hearing my breathing and popping P's and it was difficult to adjust the mic boom. Family on Skype did say I great and the headphones were fine in terms of listening to videos/audio online (not great, but ok). The Plantronics 655 headset is, however, not so very comfortable after a short period of time, say 10-15 minutes really start to squeeze my head and right ear. Ouch.I picked up Microsoft's LifeChat LX-3000 at a store to have a new USB set to test thinking maybe it was possible there is something wrong with my laptop. Nope. They are wonderful! Immediate difference. More comfortable (not amazingly comfortable, but good); much better sound playback quality - stereo sound and booming bass that was not coming through on the Plantronics set; and audio recording was fabulous - no background noise to remove at all! The audio wave was a flat line without any tick, tick, tick, just a nice warm voice. So much better! Of course, have recorded only 20 minutes, who knows how they will hold up, but that ticking was a deal breaker.Sorry, but there is something wrong with the .Audio 655 product.

1) packaging is old-school unfriendly: clamshell plastic that won't pry open -- need to use scissors. watch out for impaling yourself on the cut plastic!2) documentation is a pile of differently sized sheets of paper -- what a mess!3) every time I plug it into my iMac, it hangs my keyboard and mouse until I unplug everything and re-plug the keyboard and mouse. Haven't figured out how to get the headset working yet.[Update]4) I've had it for a week. Although I got it working by plugging into a different USB port and restarting my Mac, the headset is more uncomfortable than any headphones I've worn. Since Plantronics is such a well-established brand for headsets, I'm surprised at the design. The ear cups are small, and the band over the head holds them at a cocked angle, not flush against the ears. Weird!

The Audio 655 DSP is a bang for your buck!+Great Sound Quality (okay, maybe not like the A40's)+Amazing price tag+Good mic quality on Skype and TeamSpeak+Great design. No random wires here!-After a few hours of gaming, the headset can hurt your ears after a while. Just put them down for a bit.

I had this headset for about three months with no issue, and all of the sudden while using it the sound would kick in and out. After taking a closer look the problem is that the usb solder connection came undone. The issue is that the usb dongle-like plug that you have for plugging and unplugging puts way too much tension on the soldering and as an obvious consequence these connections brake down fairly quickly from use. i contacted plantronics as the issue was in no way amazon's fault, and they would not give me any help as they claimed that my headset was "discontinued". i would stay away from this product!

I'm fond of my Plantronic 625s so I was optimistic about the 655s. The 655s are the press on the ear (not over) type and clamp more heavily than the 625s. As a result I find them less comfortable.A link to the 625s: Plantronics Audio 625 USB Stereo HeadsetI originally thought they didn't work with my linux box (ubuntu 10.10). Turns out unlike most other usb headsets (I have 4) that "just work" you have to tweak a few settings. On the sound preferences hardware tab select the plantronic 655. Then under the profile select Digital stereo output + analog stereo input. Then it seems to work just fine with google voice and skype.One feature that I was surprised to find lacking was volume. The 625s have a dongle for volume, the 655s do not. I had wrongly assumed that higher numbers = more features on the plantronic headsets.So my personal preferences for comfort favor the 625, but the 655s are pretty reasonable and are thicker and padded (instead of just thin foam). The Logitech H530 are somewhat of a mix of the 625 and 655. They offer lighter pressure on the ears, padded (not thin foam) ear pieces, and handy volume/mute buttons at a similar price.Both the plantronic 625 and 655 have fairly thin fragile looking cables and in fact cable problems killed my 625. The Logitech H530 has a long thick pliant cable, much like the high quality amazon brand usb cables. I have a strong preference for one-eared headphones at work. My last one started to disconnect intermittently, and was sometimes hard to pair with windows for reasons that were never clear. No such problems with this Plantronics C210-M. It's comfortable, and it works every time.

For the money this is a great deal. I bought this almost exclusively for use on Skype since I am deployed. I am able to Skype with my wife and hear everything she says crystal clear. She says that my voice is crystal clear on her end so this product does exactly what it says. The ear phones are kind of big, but they are comfortable and I use them for up to an hour at a time with no discomfort. If you are looking for noise cancelling, these are not for you, but they close out low yield noise enough so that you can really hear the conversation on Skype with no outside distraction. It arrived quickly even for an APO and was packaged well. For the money I give it 5 stars.
