I had bought some cheap headphones to use with my laptop and decided that I wanted something decent. I found these and I'm glad I did. They feel and work great!! Just plug them into a USB port and your off and running. The microphone is a great touch. I've finally started to skype. I would recommend these to anyone.

I bought this headset after some research. A previous review here was excellent in recommending this headset. There are pros and cons to this headset which didn't make it my first choice, but after giving it a test run for a week or so, I'm ready to return it to the store.PROS:Input quality: My friends on ventrilo on skype commented on the clarity of my voice almost immediately, noting I was much clearer and sounded younger.Easy to use: Plug in and go. No drivers, nothing. It doesn't register as plantronics on your computer (could be a con, if you have multiple devices).Cord: The cord is really thin which worries me some, though I haven't had the headset long enough to notice issues. What I do like is that it is long enough without being too long, nor does it have any awkward dangles/doodles on it for the cord to tangle itself on.CONS:Comfort: I have regular sized ears, and the muffs on this headset are too small. If you have larger ears this headset will crush your ears and become uncomfortable after ten minutes. And I wear mine in agony for hours while gaming. The band across the top of head is very comfortable, mind you.Customer Service: I was plainly told the issue with the headset is not an issue with the headset since it worked fine on a 32-bit computer, but not any 64-bit computer (more about this below). I was informed it was an issue with my computer. Uh huh.KILLING CON: The reason I am returning this headset is because it constantly crackles and cuts out like a blown car stereo system. It drives me insane. This only happens on 64-bit computers running Vista or Windows 7 (that I know of). 32 bit computers have worked fine. I have tried multiple USB ports, both front and back, and the problem continues on at least three different machines.I have found problems with a similar Plantronics headset online, the GameCon 777, which uses the same chipset as the .Audio 655. Coincidence? The information I found on the problem believes there is a memory leak in the chipset, which causes the crackling.Regardless. Whether I have a bum headset (which plantronics tells me I don't), or it's a problem with all their headsets, I'll be returning this one and picking up a better headset come payday.

I play online games and use teamspeak a lot so these work great for this.The mic when I talk is clear and the ear pieces work great so I would definitely buy these again if needed...

I like this headset, it works well with teamspeak for which i got the headset for.Didnt think. at 1st, that it would fit in the laptop sockets, but it did andworks great. laptop is an HP pavilion.

The headset can be a bit difficult to set up. I'm using Windows XP both on my home computer and on my office computer. I encountered the same issues with both computers.I discovered that Microphone Boost MUST be set to ON to get any output at all out of the microphone. With the boost on, I got feedback through my external speakers and the headphones regardless of how low I set the microphone and speaker volume controls. Teh solution was to turn off the external speakers.With external speakers turned off and the correct adjustments for microphone and headphones, this headset works fine. It just took awhile to get it right. The sound quality is quite good for an inexpensive headset.The head band, however, is uncomfortable to wear. I bought a Sennheiser PC31 headset and I find it to be much more comfortable and the performance is at least equal to this Plantronics device.

Worked for six months. All seven machines I have say no drivers found in windows 7 64 AND 32 bit. No help from Plantronics. Will not buy again.

I recently purchased from Amazon a Plantronics Audio 326 Stereo PC Headset. It produces superior sound both through the earphones and the microphone for voice conversations. Good music reproduction also.

The USB VOIP monaural headset by Plantronics has excellent clarity on both sides of a call, is very comfortable to wear, and works right out of the box with Microsoft Communicator. The mic is easy to adjust, the earpiece is comfortable, and the volume control on the cable makes adjustment and muting simple. The only thing missing is a clothing clip.

Using skype the headset does what its suppose to do. Has clear audio and the other person can hear you clear. Far as comfort it hurts my ears and squeezes my head so much it makes me get a headache after maybe a hour of usage. I was also disappointed when I found out that it would not work for the ps3. As a female gamer and frequent skype user I was hoping it would fulfill all my uses, but it didn't quite come through.

It took me several HOURS of searching online to finally find a headset (with good reviews) that would allow me to talk on the phone while on the treadmill! Who would have thought it would be that difficult to find a) a **BINAURAL** headset (wherein BOTH of my ears are covered, thereby cancelling out the very loud noises of my fan and treadmill); and b) a **noise-reducing** microphone (again, reducing the fan and treadmill noises for my listener). I received it with great anticipation, and after playing with the adjustments a bit (found that earphone volume all the way up, but microphone volume at "medium" allows me AND the listener to have optimal reception), I can now talk on the phone and walk or run on the treadmill without any problems. It was worth the search - especially for the price. But DON'T FORGET everyone (if you plan to use these for your telephone) to get the "Headset Buddy Adapter: PC Headset to Phone Adapter PC35-PH25" - which converts the *dual* 3.5mm male ends of these headphones to a *single* 2.5mm male end (to fit into your phone's single female connector). Also, don't forget, that if you plug everything in and you can't hear your phone's dialtone, you probably have the right male jack plugged into the left female connector of the Adapter and vice versa (which I may or may not have done ;0)

No problems whatsoever. Received in a timely fashion, and within timeframe specified at ordering. Extremely easy to use, and integrations with Windows was seamless. My daughter is using them on a near-daily basis, and is very pleased with them. Her only complaint is that they "feel heavy" after 90 minutes or so, but that would be true of any headphones of this design - and she ASKED for this design! All in all, we're very pleased.

The ear surrounds are square shaped, and don't fit my ears, which are oval shaped (aren't everybody's?), so they become uncomfortable after using them for more than 30 minutes.They're also USB only. My last pair of Plantronics headphones had 3.5 mm pins with a USB converter, which I think is better in case you need to use them in a device that doesn't work with USB.

This headset, especially given the < $30 price, works extremely well. The absolutely only downside to this is there is a bizarre buzzing / wavering noise in the background at all times. I tested it on several computers, same thing. I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker, and maybe i got a bad model, as I suspect the reviews would all have been talking about this problem, but it's there.

Nothing fancy, just a solid workhorse headset. Fits comfortably, audio performs as expected. My only complaint is that I think the microphone mute switch is a little cheap-feeling and may not last as long as the rest of the headset. But that's only speculation. Otherwise, No problems.

If you want to spend next to nothing, but you want something that works, this is a good choice. I do a podcast [...] with another girl, and we used these for our latest podcast. It picks up our voices just fine. The other day I was listening to myself talk, and I was impressed. I usually think recordings of myself sound terrible, but with this new mic, you could pick up on inflection much better. You shouldn't have any problems using this product.

Very good price. Bought to use w/Dragon Nat. Speaking. Voice recognition very good, sound quality very good. However, headphones "pinch" my ears and make hurt - too much pressure. Hope the pressure will relax or my ears will grow calluses.

I've had numerous complaints from the other parties that they can barely hear my voice even at max volume. The plugs are not colored coded so it's not intuitive. Feels flimsy.

I have this headset at work and I love it! It fits a little tight so if I had to wear it all day I might try to find another one, but the sound is amazing. I record "how to" videos using the headset and a screen capture software and when they are played back they are crisp and very clear. The set I have at work belongs to my company so I just ordered one for me for at home. My son is in the Army and is in South Korea so this will make Skype calls much nicer. :o)Plantronics .Audio 326 Stereo PC Headset

Bought this item for $20. Plantronics is a very good brand. This item is an excellent value for the price. I have used this on Skype and to listen to videos. The microphone is very clear, the sound quality very good. The fit over my head is not perfect but again very good value.

This headset is extremely light and very comfortable. However, it has a slight background hiss which i find very annoying. Other headsets I have used on the same computer/same program do not hiss. I would not buy again.

I really like this headset and it works for all of my installed applications except for one - Call of Duty 4.Running Win7 x64 - and even though I have the "Listen to this device" UNCHECKED it is as if it is checked - this is NOT AN ECHO - COD4 is somehow defaulting to playback the MIC in the headset - very annoying.Skype = GreatTeamspeak = GreatWindows (General) = GreatCOD4 = Audio Great / Mic Not So Great

These cheap headphones are worth the money, only thing I don't like about them is the cushions don't completely go over my ears, so after long usage my ears start to hurt.

This is the perfect headset, I used it for conference call and other participant noticed the voice quality. But, Calistro Pro is actually better for VOIP calls, off course the price is 10 times more.I would defiantly recommend this headset.

As with clock I just reviewed you can spend more but the extra you get diminishes.I am sure that other combo units sounded better (my open ear Senheiser did but was not a ear sealing unit) so if y6ou want a good full coverage com head set for gaming or VOIP you can spend more but not get as much as value per dollar paid.

If you get this, better get a sharp tool and be careful not to injure yourself opening it. Apparently their guiding principle is "let's make the customer experience as negative as possible to start with".Contrary to other reviews, it did work fine plug-and-play with 64 bit Windows 7. But I won't be using it except as an emergency stand-in if my other equipment is broken. I got it to take on the road because it is more portable than my main USB microphone (Blue Microphones Snowball USB Microphone (White)). Forget it; this thing is staying home and I'll just use the laptop built-in mic.It is miserably uncomfortable to wear. I estimate I could stand wearing it for maybe ten or fifteen minutes, so it's useless for Skype. Plus, the sound signal has hiss and crackle in it. Since my other USB mic doesn't have the sound problems, I know it's this device at fault.I let it sit around on the shelf for a few weeks before using it, so it's kind of late to be sending it back. I wish I had opened it right away and discovered what it's really like; it would gone right back in the box and been returned to Amazon.

This Headset is one of the best Plantronics has to offer. Using USB instead of the 3.5mm audio jack, there is a crystal clear sound and recording quality. The noise canceling headset design works great. The only downside to this the first few weeks of using it can feel a little tight on your head.

I picked this up for $14 here on Amazon, and was frankly expecting a rickety, tinny-sounding headset. I was delighted to be proved wrong. I've had it about a month now and use it mainly for online gaming; the sound is excellent for games, and my teammates have never complained about not being able to hear me or about audio artifacts from the mic. The inline controls let you adjust both the headphone volume and the mic volume/mute, which is nice. It isn't apparent from the product photo, but there is a little clip on the back of the inline control so you can keep it within easy reach.The design seems sturdy enough, and the adjustable ear pieces fit comfortably (on me, at least -- I like to think I have a fairly standard-sized head). I've worn this for 3+ hours at a stretch before it started to get a little uncomfortable on the ears. And after 3 hours of gaming, it's time for me to take a break anyway.Overall, if you are looking for a reliable, inexpensive headset/mic for gaming or general VOIP applications, I would highly recommend this item.

These work perfectly! Couldn't believe we'd get such quality for such a reasonable price. Before, when using a microphone, the people we called complained of an echo, but now there's none. We use Skype for all our long distance calls, including Europe, so having a good audio system was critical.

These seemed ok from the reviews and when I got them they worked fine. Well for two days at least anyways, after that the mic stopped working completely and never worked again from that point on. Now its just a set of regular headphones because the mic doesn't work. Read the reviews before you buy this, i wish I had.

I bought this headset because of its brand name and good price !! this was the 2nd headset I bought. The first one last for 3 months and I thought it's a manufacturer defects. Then I bought a 2nd one and it only last 2 months !! Both had same problem -- its microphone stop working !! Now, I am willing to spend more money to get a better headset but NEVER go back to Plantronic anymore !!

It is an okay headset, my previous headset had what's called a wind sock which was nothing more than a little tiny piece of foam surrounding the microphone. If you ever thought it was for aesthetics you would be wrong! It cuts down on the wind/breathing noise, and if you have a ceiling fan you might as well live without it because you won't be able to use the headset effectively.

I had a logicteck headset that I use for gaming and skype chatting but it broke when I accidentally sucked the wires into my vacuum cleaner which ripped it from the headphone. I loved the logicteck one and was going to purchase the same ones but gave this one a try instead.Positives:+Sound - This headphone sounds great. It sounds awesome when listening to music or gaming or whatever you like listening to.+Mic - People could hear me clearly over skype and in game chat. No static or feedback, just clear sound going through the mic.+Comfort - This headphone did not make me feel my airs is having a heart attack after a few hours. The Logictech one did hurt my ears but this one is really comfortable.Negatives:NoneOverall this is a great headphone and you don't have to spend like $50 for it if you just want to chat with friends, do some gaming and stuff like that.

Sounds great, If you're considering getting a wireless option I recommend against it. Wireless cannot compete with the sound quality this product gives you. Plug and Play. Great for game play and listing to music. VOIP quality is excellent. A++

I have never worn such a perfectly fitting headset in three decades. It is snug without being tight. The earphones are convex (rounded out) so that the pressure is distributed more gently over the rims of the ears while at the same time focusing the sound right into your ears and getting the best filtration of outside ambient noise (without shutting it out entirely, which is important to me, as I do need to hear what is going on in airports and at home, though I want it pushed into the background).The sound coming through the earphones and through the microphone are both superb -- clear, deep and resonant speech, reception and recording. It's hard to believe how good it is, considering this is, technically speaking, a "low-end", light-weight, computer headset. If only it were collapsible/foldable, too! (There are other versions that are.)The cable is super-long, about 7' all let out, and a bit thicker than most, with solid seals at every connection, including the in-line controls, so it doesn't look like they will pull apart or be damaged very easily, which is usually what goes wrong first with many headsets.As for the packaging, it's one of those super-tough, vandal-proof, hard-plastic enclosures, BUT this one has a hinge-seam at the bottom that is easy to cut, unlike most such packages.All told, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this headset and extreeeemely pleased with my purchase at a ridiculous bargain price the day I found it.

If you want a pair of headphones that will never fall off, this is your product! These things clamp so tight you'll have a headache in 10 minutes. I did.Can't even comment on how well they worked because they were so uncomfortable I really didn't use them.I've used previous Plantronics products and they were great so this was a bit of a surprise.

Bought it because it was inexpensive and had easy to access volume controls. You won't notice it at first but after 30 minutes of so, you have to keep adjusting the headphones due to the pressure and it may cause head pains.

I use mostly Macs... and whenever sounds or music play the amp in the USB dongle wakes up and generates this awful white noise similar to what you hear on a silent bit of a vinyl record. This would be great if it were some funky DSP that could be set to give some retro feel to your music but it isn't. The faint crackling resumes without fail the moment some audio signal is pumped out.As for the mic, it's a lot less sensitive than the one on the previous headset I had... I won't say what brand that one was as I don't want this comment to look like it's PR in disguise.The drivers have a pretty good bass I must admit but don't let the bulky design fool you, this is no closed system, no isolation whatsoever, either from ambient sounds or your listening to the outside.I saw this recommended on the TWIT.tv site and assumed they had screened it.I'm putting this headset back in its box, returning it to amazon hoping to never hear from it again.

I heard about them from Leo Laporte "the Tech Guy" podcast show. They are as easy to use as they claim, just plug them in and you are ready to go. No fussing with drivers or clunky Windows Wizards. How many other products live up to that claim? The hardest thing you'll face trying to use them is getting them out of the package. An easier to open package without having to resort to a sharp knife would be a really nice improvement. I've owned and used this headset for a month and it has worked well with all of my applications. I'll have to see how well they hold up riding in my laptop bag to and from work. What the heck? These are so well priced, I might even get a spare pair.If you are stumped about buying someone a gift, a set of these would make an ideal choice. Invite your friend to then sign-up with a free online chat site like "google talk" and use these instead of their land line or cell phone, and they will have paid for themselves in less than a month.

I just received the product today and am in the process of testing it. So far the mute button does not work. There is no software to install and it is only a physical button so I'm assuming the button is defective. Otherwise, it's a decent product for the price paid ($15). I will update this review if I am able to get the button to work. At the price I paid for it, I don't think it would be worth to pay for return shipping to return the product.
