the Wii is amazing and the controls are really cool. Some people say the graphics are just like gamecube but thats is just not true if you play metroid prime 3 you can clearly see the graphics are beyond gamecube or any last gen systems graphics. The controller is awesome once you get used to(wich took me about 3/4 of a single level of call of duty for me) the controls you'll never want to use dual analog again. There is a shortage of good games for the Wii right now but seeing as its easily outselling ps3 and xbox360 that will and has already started to change. Overall a great system and well worth buying!

I didn`t buy my Wii off of Amazon but I can still tell you its a amazing system.
First of all, the gameplay is very good. Especially on Wii Sports, which is the first great game ever to come with a game system. This is because the fact that you actually have to get up and move as if your actually playing a sport, which makes it more realistic. Also, you might think that you`ll lose grip of the remote but they recently fixed that by simply adding a wrist strap to it.
Second, the Wii doesnt just play Wii discs, it also plays Gamecube discs (there goes your need for a Gamecube).
The Wii also has a feature called Virtual console, which lets you buy old games from the Wii shopping channel and play them on the Wii.
Finally, the Wii can also get Weather, News, and the web (but for that you have to download the Internet Channel off of the shopping channel, currently it`s free). All you need for that is wireless internet or a special adaptor for the Wii.
Overall, the Wii is a great system, and I highly reccomend it.

I lucked out and found Wiis available at my local Target. My local Wal-mart never has even PS3s in stock so that judgement call was good. No standing in line.
Anyway, I'm really enjoy the system - Wii Sports is a great party game in itself and makes great use of the controller. The Wii remote is easy to use, however I did have to press the Reset button because it stopped working. This problem has only happened once - I hope it was a freak thing.
The channels feature is handy but limited at the moment with just downloaded games, shopping for said downloaded games, Mii channel, internet, weather, news, and a voting channel (which I have yet to download). I heard the channels feature won an award for innovation. It's simple to use and huge possibilities.

I knew that the Nintendo Wii was going to be great, but I was still shocked at how great it actually is. I got the Wii for Christmas and haven't stopped playing. The Wii is the best video game system I've ever played and I've played them all. I was with my in-laws for Christmas when I got the Wii. I opened it and figured I'd take it upstairs and set it up because they wouldn't be interested. Boy was I wrong. They all told me to hook it up downstairs, so I did. We spent the next few hours taking turns playing Wii sports against each other. Even people who had never played video games in there life played the Wii, including parents that are almost 70. The Wii did exactly what it was made to do. It brought the whole family together and got people to play video games that had never played before. Nintendo would be proud.
The gameplay is amazing and extremely fun. It presents a whole new way of playing video games. The motion sensing is almost flawless once you get use to it. It even gives you a little exercise. My right arm is sore from all the wii sports I was playing. The graphics are great, much better than the gamecube and these are only first generation games. Things will only get better once more software developers create more and better ways to use the wii-mote.
Overall, I would say the Nintendo Wii is a MUST BUY for everyone. It provides hours of entertainment and has something for everyone. Gameplay is awesome 5 stars, and the graphics are great 5 stars. (of course not as good as Xbox360 or PS3, but graphics can only get so good then you have to create better gameplay, the graphics are good enough, Zelda looks awesome)

We bought this Wii as a gift for our children this Christmas. We thought the kids would love it and they did! What we weren't prepared for was how much we (the parents) love to play it! We can't wait for the kids to go to bed so we can get some playtime in.
Amazon was fantastic! I ordered it, and it was delivered super fast in plenty of time for the holidays.

Let me just say that the Wii is amazing, you really feel as if you're in the game. My arm is SO sore though, but that doesnt stop me from playing. Wii Sports is the best here is how I rank them
1) Tennis (Even though they move the person for you, it's the most interactive.
2) Bowling (It really feels like you're bowling)
3) Boxing (Could be my #1 if all of your hits actually went in, and if it didn't tire you out)
4) Baseball (Not that great, I love how they run to the bases though)
5) Golf (I hate golf to begin with, so no big surprise)
Pros of The Wii:
- Best value in my opinion, comes with a game, controller, and nunchuck controller for $[...]).
- Extra controllers are extremely easy to set up, they're bluetooth, you just have to sync them.
- Game selection is great and $10 less than some PS3 and Xbox 360 ones.
- Extra features that I didn't think I would ever use turn out to be cool and fun, such as the Mii Creator, and the Photo Editor.
- Controller is comfortable to use, it's molded to your hand.
- Setup could not be easier, pretty straight foward, didn't have to look at directions at all.
- Anyone can play, even my grandma played bowling and got a strike.
- Graphics are fine, I don't really care, as long as they're better than 80s block style they're fine with me.
Cons of the Wii:
- Can be dangerous to play with more than 2 people, (I hit my sister in the arm in tennis)
- After a long time of playing, the controller seems to have trouble sensing movement.
- Your hand gets so sore after playing
That's really it I love it to death

Thank goodness I purchased this online since you can't find it anywhere in the stores! The additional cost was well worth it since my kids and their friends, and our family who come to visit, and anyone else who's around plays this constantly. I no longer can watch t.v. in my living room because the Wii is in constant use- Totally Worth It!

The Wii is the best console for all ages. It has games for all, for the kiddies, and elderly it has Wii sports, etc. For the mature, there's RE4, RE: UC, Red Steel, Bwii, Metroid Prime 3, etc. So don't let some PS3 fanboy spamming the Wii forums with repetitive posts (at a time when GHIII is dominating on the Wii, while the PS3 version just seems to stay on the shelf) delude your decision with their extremely expensive console! Bottom line, Wii rules, PS3 employees invade the Wii and PS3 forums on amazon to swade people to buy the extremely expensive/lacking originality PS3. Wii>PS3

My kids and I have really enjoyed this. I think Nintendo hit it right on the mark when the decided to take game play of visuals (how much more realistic can games get anyway..?). The wii sports alone would make this unit worth buying. Bowling is a kids favorite, along with the baseball. Great investment for a parent..good games coming in the future too.

The Wii console is great for you of the whole family. I have listed some positive and downfalls about the Wii below:
Positive side:
1.The Virtual Console (Nintendo's online store): You can download all the old 80's games, Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, etc.
2.The remote uses hand motion as a form of controlling the character (easy to use)
3.You can use all of your Game Cube stuff, such as controllers, memory sticks, and games.
4.Graphics are great! (no PS3 graphics, but the entertainment excess the default)
5.Nintendo has an online internet setup with News, store, and internet searching; no mouse or computer desk required, search with the wireless remote from your love seat.
Some downfalls:
1.Wii has only 512MB internal memory, so you're going to have to purchase a Scan Disk card for storing extra memory later. (I got 1GB for $[...] at Amazon, which I use just for my Virtual Console games)
2.Not all games (non-Nintendo) are setup to use the Wii remote perfectly such as Call of Duty 3. You also need the classic controller or game cube controller to play the old games.
3.Internet online sells. Recommendation: purchase the Wii system at a retail store or a known company ($[...]). I have been seeing sells for over $[...] just for the console alone. My total was $[...] with an extra controller, 1GB SD disk, Zelda, and a warranty. I also have been renting my games to see if I like them first.
You'll going to enjoy the playing the Wii!

Disclaimer: I am not a "gamer." (Hey, that rhymes!) In fact, I would have been fine if our original Atari and Space Invaders were all the gaming I ever had.
Until the Wii. Not only is this thing seriously fun and useable without super-human thumb dexterity and the ability to remember finger dance routines worth of the best Blackberry user I've ever known, but it's simplicity is an engineering marvel.
The Wii has gotten into my daily life away from the device - as an example, I now now have a new "vocabularii" that provides hours of laughter "biitwiin mii" and my friends. Even when I'm not playing a game, I enjoy going to the weather channel and spinning the globe around.
And my triceps! Boxing, games where you have to pump your arms to run, tennis, Wii fitness in general - finally, a way to "work out" AND have fun. Kidding aside, you CAN be winded and sore after playing a game, which is a refreshing change to the couch potato feeling you can get playing other systems.

We love our Wii! We were able to find one right before Christmas, and have played it almost every day since. I think I actually play it more than my daughter! Its a great way to keep the kids active when they can't go outside. We only have a couple of games so far, but we're really enjoying it.

Welcome to the wave of the future. . . I Love it! Although they didn't spend the time and money on whiz-bang graphics, who cares! This is so much fun, you'll never miss it. I'm sure the next generation of consoles will be all things. I own XBOX 360, PS3, and a Wii, by far the MOST fun for the whole famile: Wii.

I researched several sites and e-bay and this was the BEST price including shipping for a brand new controller. I received them on time and yes, they were sealed and new. I couldn't have asked for anything better!

It's the new revolution. It's interactivity and creativity is unmatched. Great for party games and casual gamers. Not that hardcore as the Playstation 3 or XBOX 360 Elite but still... This console will sell more and more. And will bring alot of fun for gamers of all ages. Every family homes must have one. It's a must. For Hardcore gamers you know what you want. You must either have a PlayStation 3 or an XBOX 360 Elite with a Nintendo Wii! OR IF YOU'RE REALLY HARDCORE GET THEM ALL! And of course a Gaming desktop or notebook. Alienware and Dell XPS! YEAH!

As I was researching the purchase of the Wii Console I looked and looked for the product description. Once I found it it claimed to have more than the standard package, however when the product arrived it was just the standard Wii equipment. This was very disappointing considering the price paid for the item. Lessons learned not to buy from there again.

1: Yes the graphics are not as great as a 360 or PS3, but they never claimed to be.
2: Fully functioning interaction. Just play Tiger Woods 07 or Madden 07 and you will see what I am talking about.
3: For everyone. This system is good for everyone. My wife hates video games, but surprisingly she loves Wii-sports bowling.
4: Games are cheaper and the console itself is a bargain.
5. The Virtual Console is packed full of awesome old time favorites. I just downloaded Bonk's Adventure, Kirby, and Shockman the other day from the Wii shopping channel. (you have to pay for them)
5: If you are a hardcore gamer get a PS3 or 360. If you are looking from something imaginative and fun for everyone one to play and your on a budget get a Wii.
I love mine, but I also have a 360 for those hard core titles like Gears of War. Both together still cost me less than a PS3.
6. Lastly, if you get a Wii, go a head and at least purchase the virtual console controller and the wireless connection thumb drive. You definitely need to go on line with it to get all the channels and updates.

Our son has cerebral palsy, but loves to 'play' video games. This usually isn't very meaningful for him as he can't really control the actions of the games, but he has fun nonetheless. (one option, though mostly for little kids, is the game "Whack-a-Mole" that simply plugs into your VHS/DVD player and you interact with the T.V.) We are looking forward to getting the Wii for our family this Christmas, specifically so he can interact on a more social level with his cousins who love doing things with him.

What else can I say about this console that hasn't been said already? I love how fun this system is, it is much more immersive than any other home console I've played. The controls help to make games feel more realistic than the typical button mashing that I've been used to doing. Graphically it is a minor step up from the previous generation, which doesn't bother me too much because of the fun I have with the system and I own a Xbox 360 so I have my High Def gaming along with the Wii. I just recently hooked my Wii up to my new HDTV and to me it has made an improvement on the picture, just not a great improvement like you'll see with a PS3 or Xbox 360 unfortunately. I also like how Nintendo has set up the Virtual Console so I can play my old favorites like Super Mario Bros and other classical games. And it's $250 bucks, can't beat a very good and unique console at that price. The reason I gave it a 4 for overall is that at some point I like to play some High Def games, but as far as fun is concerned it is a definite 5 for me.

The Wii tennis racket and other stuff was boring when we got it home. But my kids liked it. The camera looks ok but i have not downloaded nothing yet for my daughter. It was a gift for her and she has given up waiting for me to download her camera stuff onto pc.Service from Amazon is ok.

Ok first off, The Wii is great!!! Secondly the price for this here on Amazon is crazy!! This Wii system is only 249.99 NEW!! Most people work hard to buy the extra things they want don't let that money go to waste!! I mean you can buy 2 or 3 at the prices they want here for this!! There is one for 999.99 USED!!! WOW REALLY ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!

If you are thinking of getting this,get it!It is a very great video game console for a NEW gaming experience.Most games have amazing graphics.It is cheaper than most consoles,like PS3 and more.The greatest part is that you don't sit and do nothing but move the control,but you actually MOVE AROUND.It is wonderful and you should definetly go for it.
