Had heard about the quality of involvement in the Wii games and have not been disappointed. Grandkids 9-14 thrilled with the games as are parents and grandparents. Think games should have two controlers instead of one in original packages, but second can be purchased. Still find many having difficulties finding the Wii.

I got one of these back in November and was very excited to play it. At the moment it's kind of collecting dust but I thought I would write a review because it's a lot of fun to play with friends and family and the games are pretty cool. I like the fact that I can download older games as well. I can only give it 4 stars though because sometimes it has issues connecting to my high speed internet and carrying out its downloads. Also, the screen looks a little streched out with camecube and downloaded games since I have a widescreen TV, you would think that because most people have HD now that the software and hardware would be tailored for these types TVs. Perhaps that will be the next step. Also, the fact that this does not double as a DVD player is a negative, but overall it's a great system with fun games coming out all the time. Enjoy!

The Wii has definitely redefined the gaming market. The only major problem is the lack of games, which is slowly starting to change. As a game developer myself, I am excited about the possibilities with this system. The best thing is my 4 year old and my wife will both play the Wii with me. Wii Sports is an awesome game to be packaged with the Wii. So far I've played Zelda, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Excite Truck, and Resident Evil 4.
Don't wait as soon as these are available pick one up. I bought one for my father-in-law and they love it as well.

Best video game ever purchased! I had a very difficult time finding a Wii to purchase, but timing and luck were on my side one day and I was able to buy it. It was SO worth it!

My son only had the Nunchuk that came with the Wii that he got this summer. I bought this for him so now we can play boxing with one another. We have alot of fun with this system. You need at least 2 Nunchuks so buy it!

people in all ages will enjoy this game! my parents enjoy it very much too and they normally don't like video games. my younger siblings like it too. it's a lot of fun and a great party game!

My favorite aspects of the Wii in no particular order would have to be: 1) Controllers. It has changed everything. 2) Games that use the controllers. Third party game developers are as excited as we are and I can't wait for each new title. 3) Virtual Console. The ability to catalog and play ALL generations of Nintendo games, plus Genesis and TurboGrafx is huge. 4) Channels. Although not released at launch future channels for news, weather, web browsing and more make obsolete all the WebTV boxes out there.
Having played video games since basically the Atari 2600. For years I have enjoyed many popular consoles. I am not against owning multiple consoles. I have always followed the games, not the boxes that play them. The Wii is literally a revolution and will make you blissfully unaware of anything else within five minutes of gameplay. I had the honor of playing a Wii about a month before its release date at a Nintendo Fusion event. In the first five minutes I understood why this console makes gaming more fun and exciting. When I got home after the event and fired up the Xbox, I almost got sick trying to play games with buttons again. You have to play the Wii to grasp the reality of it, and will then appreciate this products solid five star rating. Nintendo is a company who learns from history and has created a masterpiece that continues to blow me away. I bought the Wii because I did not want another next generation box playing the same old games with more detail. Once you play the Wii, you literally don't want to go back.

The PS3 and Xbox360 are great systems, But the Wii is greater. The motion controls are easy and make the gameplay much more fun. The controler looks retarded, but it makes old games play like new. I can not think of one thing the Wii lacks. It can play Gamecube games, use gamcube conrolers and memory, has online news, weather, and broswer channel, has amazing gameplay seccond to none, the graphics are very good (not as good as ps3 but they are good enough) anyone can play it, you can download classic games from the NES, N64, Sega Dreamcast and more, its cheap, its small, it has wireless internet built in, you can send and recive emails and text messages, and the list goes on and on.

What an ingenius invention! My family has way to much fun with this console! We have numerous other consoles, but nothing compares to this! From 6, 8, 26, and 30 years old WE have a Blast!!! Thank you nintendo WE LOVE IT!!! And the guitar hero is AWESOME!!!

I just purchased this today from a local gamestore. I have to say that even though i was exposed to all the intense hype i am very impressed by the Wii. Other people have written huge reviews so i will just keep mine short.
- The size of the unit is pleasantly small. Its about the size of a desktop computer CD/ DVD drive. Its unobtrusive and doesn't fight for space with my DVD player or Satellite TV decoder.
- Its very quiet. Even when the disc drive is in use loading a game. There are no loud fans to cool the system.
- The Wii Remote is great! I don't know why nobody thought of this years ago. When you point at a button on the screen it Rumbles, sometimes it makes a sound. These little bits of feedback and the motion tracking function make control of a complicated computer in the living room possible and easy.
- The networking function is very good. Full WiFi security functions are supported.
- The Opera browser (now available via free download) is absolutely amazing. You can view pretty much any webpage on the Wii that you can view on your PC. Google video and Youtube work perfectly. You dont have to strain your eyes on text either because it includes a 'smart' zoom and scrolling function.
PS: One thing though...i really recommend you have a high speed internet connection along with a WiFi router to use the coolest features on the Wii (The Opera Browser and Wii shop).

Item works great. Christmas gift for my kids that even my wife and I can play with them. Great to have a gaming system that has game titles that are family friendly. A must have for those who have Xbox or PS2/3

I was unable to find the Wii at any of my local retail stores so I decided to look on Amazon. It came shipped to us in perfect condition and we've had a lot of fun playing. We even got my mother in law playing (she's in her 50's and normally does not play video games) and she was hooked. The neat thing about the Wii is that even if you aren't normally a video gamer you can still play it because it's so different from normal video games. We've had a lot of fun with it and whenever we have people over they all want to play it, young and old alike. I highly recommend it! :)

This is a must have for the wii console, to play multiplayer you need at least 2 of these and 2 of the remotes, the console normally comes with only 1.

This is a great game for the entire family. Even with just the games that come with your initial purchase. This year I'm purchasing a second set of controllers so both children can play at the same time. This is also great exercise for everyone. I broke a sweat boxing...

I purchased the Nintendo Wii console about a week ago, and to be honest it is the best system of the three in my opinion. It took me several months to locate this system in a store. The best advise I can give anyone is to not buy this system online. The entire Nintendo Wii system only costs 250 dollars. Any true retail store will sell it to any individual for 250 dollars. Most of the people here want 400 dollars or more. If you buy the system online your going to get ripped off. I'm not going to tell anyone how to get one in the stores. If one is smart enough then one can figure it out on their own. These are the people who buy it before you can get to it, and then sell it back to you for a lot more. My best advice is to just be patient. Either go look for one in the stores, or wait until next year when the demand is not so high.

I must admit that i wasn't a wii fan,in fact I thought many times that it was a crappy system, but a couple of days before I was walking around some stores and see a wii on a stand so i buy it to give a try, after that I can't believe that i get so much fun with a system that have simple graphics in the games. Wii is absolutely nice and I suggest you that you must give a try as soon as you can. Now I understand why peple say that graphics are not the only good thing in games. At least for now wii stands over ps3 and 360 in amusement and joy. Regards

My wife got an XBOX 360 for me and my son as an after Christmas surprise. I asked her permission to return it and get a Wii at $100 over retail instead. I have never regretted that decision. Even at that price, I could get a few more games (especially cheap used Gamecube gems like Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine, and Zelda Wind Waker). I was also able to get Zelda Twilight Princess, of which I have barely scratched the surface. All of these games were made in a way that my 8 y.o. son would enjoy far more than almost any of the dark shooters that XBOX/XBOX 360 library seemed to be dominated with. After hooking it up, I was amazed at the responsiveness of the Wiimote, the sheer joy of controlling Wii sports, creating Miis for the whole family and the visiting friends of my son, and the intuitive interface of the spinning globe on the silly Forecast channel. The XBOX 360 may have the adavantage in terms of HD graphics and overwhelming processing power, but it doesn't have the Wiimote, which to me is a far more important advancement. Don't event talk to me about the PS3. I've seen black boxes of the $600 Sony dud gathering dust in every store I've visited while on the hunt for a second Wiimote and Nunchuk. I've never, ever, seen a Wii on sale anywhere. I'm glad I got mine when I did. Even a few more weeks with this joyous wonder were worth the extra cash I doled out.

Ok - Wii is great and this controller works as well as expected.It's not used nearly as much as the primary controller, so if you're getting 4 primary ones, you might consider only getting 2 of these.

We love the Wii. It's such an amazing game system. We play it almost every day! Wii Sports has kept us occupied for over a month and we still arn't tired of it!! It's an amzing product!

the Nintendo Wii is the second of the seventh generation games and let me tell you all, it is so cool. after playing one at the local store, i can see why its changing the gmaeing world. for one, the controller is the best part. the wireless is amazing and so inovative. at first, its a little tricky and will feel weird but after about five minutes or so you will get the hang of it. the graphics arent the best like the Xbox or Ps3 but it still is superior to the Gamecube graphics. also, the channels are a nice addition, it can really make the console yours. i also love the backward compatitbilty, now i can play all my favorite Gamecube games unlike before. the best is the price, only 250? thats a plus in my book cause let me say i am not ready to shovel out nearly 800 dollars worth of money for the Ps3 and a game, forget it! also, some adivce, dont get the wireless for the Ps3 it is really clunky. also, i want to address all those people who are worrying and trying to get the console, lighten up! its only the first week, they are bound to be scarce. and have you checked the calender? Christmas is still a long way of, so more copies should be coming in. besides, you'll have a much better chance of getting the Wii then the Ps3 cause if you think your going to get that thing anytime soon, your crazy. do you know how back ordered that thing is? i keep on getting replies that it'll be shipped by...April or so. so overall, the Nintendo Wii is going to change the video game world. definently the thing to get.
