I cannot say enough about the Nintendo Wii! Never in the history of console gaming systems has a system brought together people young and old. My mom has never been the slightest bit interested in video games, but we have her hooked on playing Wii. I even brought the Wii on our family vacation (we're all grown adults) and it was one of the best ideas we've had to fill in those empty moments in the evenings. It is akin to a board game, where you can learn it and pick it up in a matter of minutes and enjoy it with your family for the rest of the afternoon, and that's just with the Wii Sports that comes with the console, let alone the other games you can purchase. Finally a gaming system for people who like to be social, and that appeals to all ages. Makes a great party feature!

When I got the Wii, I opened it and said,"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!"
The Wii is so cool because of the wii remote! Like when you are playing tennis, you actually have to swing it and your character does swings also!
In boxing, you tilt your body to the side and your character does that to!!
And one of the best thing about this is that you can create your own characters called Miis!! You can make yourself or make any body you want!!!
You can make your character be you and make it look like exactly like you!!!!
Buy the Wii!!! It's cool! And it is also much cheaper than the PS3!!!

I was never one for video gaming but this item is fantastic. I bought this for my family to enjoy and thats what we do! This is alot of fun. i recomend this to anyone just thinking of buying this. I am also in my mid fifties if that helps anyone.

Although this console is not as powerful as the playstation 3 or xbox 360, it packs its punch with overall enjoyment. I never thought video games could get this interactive and the wii is setting a precedent for future video game consoles.

This game arrived on time, was met with many OOH's and AAh's when opened and was quickly assembled and setup. The thing has been "on" ever since. No question where to find my kid. Where there is the wii, there is the kid.

I bought the wii for my kids, and actually enjoy it as much as them. Even their grandparents enjoy playing it. What a wonderful concept. We have enjoyed much family entertainment with the wii. It is worth the $$.

In the fifties and sixties we would have regular family nights with board games. Fun and togetherness went hand in hand. With video games and joysticks that all dissappeared (along with verbal communication). The Wii and the sports package has brought us back 40 years and now includes grandchildren.

I have to say, this is the best console (in terms of overall playing), of the 7th gen consoles. The motion sensor controllers are so much fun. The overall controls for wii games are pretty easy to pick up and they are addictive! I have been playing for a couple days now, and gameplay never gets boring. One of my friends got a PS3 a few weeks ago, and it's good too. He bought the system, an extra controller a game and an HDMI cable (required for HD gaming, no it's not really HD out of the box), and it cost him about $850-900 dollars. Ouch! The graphics rock, but that's really what you're paying for. Unless you have an HDTV, there is NO reason to get a PS3. I'm not a guy who's big on grpahics though, I care about how much fun it is. I mean I can live with halfway decent graphics. Most people don't use the PS3 storing movies and whatnot, that's why we have normal computers. I had more fun playing the wii than I did his PS3. The wii also gets internet and you can freely browse all web pages (the PS3 does that). Also, you can buy a wii component cable for 10 bucks for people who have HDTV's, it'll improve the graphics. For anyone who wants an affordable, easy to learn, fun, new console, the wii is for you.

Ok, we have gamecube, ps1 and ps2, and playstation 3. The Wii is still the most used console in our house. The games are fun to play, what more can you say. Everyone in the family agrees, from my 6,9,19,and 20 year olds to me and the wife, the Wii is the best.

don't get me wrong this is a very good system,but it dosen't have the games to compete with ps3 or xobox 360,though there are lots of fun games for it but most are for young peole.also the graphics for this system(in general)are as good as ps2-I expected a little more from Nintendo.

The controller works as promised. The only frustrating thing about it was that in order to use all of the Wii sports games, that I had to buy it in the first place. The Wii is affordable, but I would want the stock system to include at least two controllers. This is the same complaint that I had with the PS2.My 4 year old loves to box Dad.

If you want a video game system that will not encourage "sitting" this is the one. At first the games appeared a bit corny until you play them and realize you can really have fun with this thing and best of all..YOU HAVE TO MOVE AROUND!!
This is a system for all ages, young & old, a real family thing to do. Enjoy it, we do!

Love the games. You can get a good work-out. I broke a sweat bowling. Don't know why it took them so long to produce this type of video game. This is a game the whole family will enjoy.

My husband and I have had so much fun with this console. We are video game addicts and currently have everything from the original NES to the Wii. I have to say, Nintendo really hit it on the head with this one!
I have boxed with with mother-in-law, played tennis with my dad and went bowling with my friends. And while I wouldn't recommend this for a strenous aerobic workout, it certainly gets you and and moving. There was a little bit of a learning curve only because the controllers are unlike any other game controllers from consoles past. In reality, both my parents and in-laws (who are far removed from the gaming "culture") picked it up very quickly and had an enjoyable time.
As new games come on the market, the wide-range of capabilities because more realized as seen in the myriad of "poses" in Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. Using the contollers for games such as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess bring an entirely new dimension to adventure games.
Overall, the Wii is an incredibly innovative and fun. It has a relatively low price tag and I would highly recommend it to gamers and non-gamers of any age!

The Wii is accomplishing their goal to revolutionize gaming and succeded. This goes to show that a system, like this can also sell big. Personally I see this machine as a secondary system. Me I am a traditional gamer and the contoller is my best friend. Me, I think that sooner or later, one is going to get bored or even tired of swinging a remote around and just want to relax with a PS or Xbox controller. Let's face it, the wii can only survive through the right games, and if the games fail to deliever and make the controllers feel like a gimmick, the consle will fail and leave many gamers dissapointed. All these reviews about all this love for the wii needs to stop. I advocate opinions, but some of these reviewers are just a bunch a fanboys who have no clue what could happen. Those people need to stop and think back. Ever since the gamcube, Nintendo has been haging by a thread on the home consle war and the wii is helping Nintendo make a name for itself, but if the GAMES(not the system) do not take full advantage of the controller, the classic controller is still by the side of your bed just whispering "I am just a high-end gamecube". I give it a five for fun for being a new way on how to game, but a two overrall for the great potential for a great idea of a system, to go waste from developers too lazy to put full use of its capability sending Nintendo back to a mediacore sytem power and just a hand-held empire.

I picked up the Wii this past week as a Christmas present for my kids. Of course, as the responsible dad that I am, I had to 'test' the system, just to make sure everything works on Christmas morning. I've only played the included Sports game, but the control is a refreshing change from our PS2. I can't wait for Christmas morning.

Have owned all the game systems, and this is the best! Games are simple, but alot of fun. Tire of mindless car crashing, pot smoking, gangsta, gun toting games! Good way to train for prison. Go NINTENDO!

I got a wii recently for my birthday and I had already played two of my friends' wiis. I was not disappointed when I got it, its just that the fun of wii sports has worn off. It has only been three days and I am wishing I would have got a game for it.
Two player is much different. Playing wii with a friend makes it much more enjoyable, even if you only have wii sports.
Another great thing about the wii is the internet browser. Its a great way to check email or play online games. The virtual console is a great idea too, for people that prefer older games.
The wii has one weakness: graphics. The graphics are pretty much 6th gen. So if you just care about graphics, go get a 360. If you care more about fun, wii is the thing for you.

the wii is the best. the online is through the roof. and the pooping in a jar feature is alittle hectic at times but makes up for it in flinging turds a neighbors.
