For [...], it is the best buy out there. You are not going to be disappointed. If you were an Avid PS2 or Xbox player, and your picky about graphics ,frame rate and how realistic it looks when something blows up...then you might want to consider the Wii as a second system.
I own 19 games for the Wii... and so far have played only a handful ( I am a addict...I have to buy the latest titles...its stupid, but then its a lot cheeper than some of the toys my peers are buying, so my wife puts up with it...)
I am being honest with you, few games are as good as they could be...but I know that the best games are always the last 2 years of the systems life..
The Wii controls are great, but it really depends on how well the game developer incorperates them into the game. Zelda is very nice...Blazing Angels is good...Excite Truck is very cool!
If you are upset because you cannot find a Wii yet...don't worry...the best games have not even hit the shelves.
I am not going to go over how fun it is and all the hype, because, its been said before...Yes, its a new experience and Non-Games Love it...but the truth is, I am still playing my GameCube more that my Wii...
And the reason is because the greatest games for the gamecube are selling for 1/3rd the price that they originally were..and these games are the best that the game cube can handle... Once there are some more mature games on the market, I am sure that I'll be useing the Wii more than my Gamecube.

Cooking Momma for the Wii-- Don't bother -They did not bother to get someone to translate effectively...the result? If you do something that Cooking Momma likes...she says "Good, not mine!" What does that mean????
MY wife is Japanese and a translator...she even admits that they should not have released it without a proper translation.

Marvel Aliance -I would pass, its not really good or bad, but nothing is amazing as far as using the Wii controls...etc.
SuperMonkey Ball..Not a bad game ..but not as good as the gamecube version...
Wear your safety Straps....its not an option to play without it!

One of the best entertaining product i purchased. Whole family loves it. We even had a Wii party at home which made couple of my other friends interested in Wii. Really glad that i purchased it. My 6yr old daughter is the one who always need the 1st Remote so that she can control the show.

This console is a lot of fun for everyone. There are not a lot of great games out right now but there will be very soon, so you might as well buy it now, since Nintendo can not make enough consoles to meet the demand (this may be done on purpose). The graphics are okay but not very good, but graphics don't really matter when you have great game play and fun. My problems with it is that there aren't that many good games out right now, no rechargeable batteries for the wii mote, no hard drive, and they haven't done anything with there online play yet. You will probably also want to pick up a Xbox 360 since you can have more fun games to play.

My wife and I are definitely not the gaming demographic. Neither of us has particularly been involved in any way with video games since our teens. That all changed when we saw the Nintendo Wii being used at a family get together. My mom (in her 80's) was right there with every other generation-spanning member of our family, screaming, laughing and having fun. The whole family was playing or engaged in watching for hours. It was one of the best times in years that we spent as an entire family and is a must have.
I know that graphically this game system doesn't compare with the more expensive PS3 and Xbox systems. That said, the Wii is really geared toward the WHOLE FAMILY having fun together and it accomplishes this with flying colors!

This video game system is the best I've ever had! Although yesterday, when I was playing SPONGEBOB SQAREPANTS: CREATURE FROM THE KRUSTY KRAB, the screen froze and made a high beeping noise. And, the Wii wouldn't turn off. My mom had to unplug it to turn it off. But don't worry, I've had it for 7 months and it's only happened once. Both the controllers have motion sensors in them, so you do things like you would in real life. If you have a gamecube controller, or want to buy one, you can play gamecube games with the Wii.It comes with WII SPORTS, a game with tennis, baseball, bowling, golf, and boxing. And for Wii sports, you need MIIS. They're people you make. You can also do it for fun. All the controls are A, +Control Pad, power button, Home, -, +, 1, 2, B, Control Stick (or joystick), C, and Z. it rocks.

I bought this game system for my 10 year old son for Christmas. He loves it! It is a system the whole family can enjoy and play together. We love it also as parents and would recommend it.

This system is great... it is sooo much fun that when I bought this in May I couldnt put the wii remote down to go to sleep! I played this thing all day long and I mean all day long!
Now that I've had it for 6 months I think its the best thing out there!! I recommend this system to anyone!

So we unpacked the console that Amazon.com just sent us, with a mix of excitement and wondering whether our expectations (based on previous superlative reviews) would be met. I have to say, being an owner or every console under the sun, that all the reviews are true.
First I have to say on the downside, the graphics are a significant (large) step below the xbox360, but I really believe that Nintendo has hit a nerve on ease of use and changing the paradigm of what a gaming system can be. Why? I have never seen so many people involved in a console, right out of the box! My Wife and Daughter (14 Years) were hooked in about 10 minutes. The wireless remote is brainless.... it just works right out of the box. As an IT professional by career, when does something work out of the box??? In my career next to never.
So it works out of the box.... It's Easy to setup... Its games are fun... What's the downside???? Graphics... They are on the low-end. But Nintendo knew exactly what they were doing.... I'm a gamer, and though I'd never admit it I would buy this unit easily before all my other gaming systems... (which are all stunning in their abilities and output)This console puts the user in the action!
Have a Family? Don't think, just buy it.
Gamer amused by design and interface? Don't think just buy it.
Hardcore Gamer? Buy it after you have run through all the games on your PS3.
This is a guilty pleasure that you'll never tell your friends about. Thanks Nintendo! I say that with a smile on my face!

The nunchuck controller is a must have for the wii sports package. It works great with the boxing game as well as the Donkey Kong game.

This game is just as advertised. Fun for all ages. It is a keeper. Easy to hook up, easy to understand how everything works, and easy to play. Although is a little painful the day AFTER you play if you are a bit out of shape!

My fiance got me the Wii as a birthday present. I love it. I play it every day, at least for an hour or two. I love the tennis on wii sports, I was first hooked on the bowling, now I've moved on to tennis. It's great fun for everyone - I will soon be getting Boogie + Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree.
I love it. Everytime I am stressed from all the college work, I go straight to my wii and it washes my stress away. Seriously, it does. I recommend this to anyone! I love it, fun and entertainment for the whole family guaranteed!

More than a year ago when I learned of Nintendo's project 'Revolution' I was more than skeptical and figured I would get on board with the next gen era via PS3 or 360. As 'Revolution' gained momentum and more and more information became available my resistance remained strong but my intrigue began to grow. Initially I thought the same as most opposition to the Wii would - too strange, too childish, too different. Then the 'Revolution' became Wii and the buzz began to grow. The game release lists began pouring out and critics began to rave of the new control system. My interest peaked and next thing you know - BAM - I'm waiting in line at Toys R Us in Times Square with my little lady and Santa ends up one of the lucky few who were able to get their hands on a Wii the opening day! I was so pumped that I told her I couldn't wait until Christmas to play so she let me have it as an early Christmas gift! IT IS AWESOME!! I of course started with Wii Sports - bowling is rad! I have it in my basement where my boys and I kick it on Friday nights - you couldn't think of a better system to have - I'm bowling in my basement on Fri nights with cold beer! Friggin sweet! In addition to the freebie Wii Sports I also got Ultimate Alliance and Call of Duty 3! They're so sweet I'm not even going to discuss them now cause I'd get way too pumped! Long story short the Wii is awesome and has got me so pumped that I could kick something! Friggin sweet - Nintendo Wii for Mii!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need this to play Boxing in Wii Play and several other games. The Wii console comes with one, but we bought another. The kids love to box one another :)

A bit of disclosure- I was excited about the Wii before I played one. I was camped outside Target all night to ensure that I got one on launch day. So I was All About The Wii.
I'm here to say that my expectations were met.
One, the bundled Wii Sports was a great move by Nintendo. It may not be as deep as other games, but I've spent a fair amount of time playing tennis and boxing and such things. And it makes for a fun party game; my brothers and I enjoyed 4-player games of tennis and bowling from the word go.
Also, it's nice to not only get a relatively inexpensive system, but have something to play out of the box. The last time I saw that was many years ago.
The controller is fun. My poor, now-overworked muscles are glad not everything has the grand gestures of Wii Sports (and yes, I'm aware that technically you only have to flick your wrist, but come on, where's the fun in that?), but it's still a neat switch up to the traditional means of playing a game. Also, it has helped some people who have been turned off by gaming in the last few years ("Too many buttons!" is a common complaint) to give it a go again.
I can't recommend the Wii enough. Maybe it's not the graphical powerhouse that the Xbox 360 or PS3 are, but what it lacks in glamour it makes up for in fun and innovation. I am especially excited for games that come out six months from now, when developers have gotten a better feel for using the Wii control system. Can anyone say Star Wars games using lightsabers? Oh yes please.

Look it is palin and simple. If you are tired of your children spending so much time playing with a video game for hours and hours sitting on te couch. This is one video game that I will allow my children to play as long as they want. This video game has a remote control that reacts to your arm and hand, some times just the littlest movement might mess up your score. My children have to be standing to play several games such as Wii Sports, and NFL. You have to swing at the right time to hit a ball in baseball, you have to push the control at the right time, to tackle an apponent in Football, you have to move left and right (quickly) or your face will be knocked out in boxing. Plain and simple: when I play baseball or tennis, I sweat.

The Wii Nunchuck Controller is an attachment to the Main Wii Controller which is sold seperatly. Theres really nothing much to this except you most likely need this for most games that are out right. I just wish they didn't have to sell this seperatley from the main Wii COntroller because the Nunchuck is an important thing to have. Why do we have to pay over $20 just to get this which can only be powered by the wii controller and that the only thing that this has are 2 buttons and a Joy-Stick. A more reasonable price for this is $9.99 or maybe even $14.99, but over $20 is a little much for this kind of thing.

More fun with more games. This is a new adventure for me - and surely fun for grandkids (and grownups). We are exploring sports and brain game for now. First time Wii playing.
