Oh God this camera is just horrible. you will have to really hold your hand very steadily and firmly to take crisp pictures. almost all pictures are blurry very blurry i can never take a picture of my daughter moving or anythin moving. poor autofocus!!! Very disappointed with this camera, I returned mine. Save your money to get a micro four thirds camera like olympus pen pm1 the pictures are close to DSLR and it has very fast autofocus

I hope I can use it for many years. The cmera is light, small enough to be carried with no problem and has an excellent size. It's light but string at the same time.

Honestly I wanted a DSLR. But thought I better start with something a little more user friendly. I'm not disappointed. Especially the red color! Awesome! I don't regret this purchase at all!

I cannot give this even one star.The cd that came with it never could load onto my computer. No memory card will work in it. I got a lemon.In fact, I think its refurbished but really wasn't. To make matters worse I got it the same day I went out and bought another camera.But since this was a gift I sent the one I bought back. Now I think I am stuck with this totally useless camera. Sigh. Really,Amazon, really????

It is a great camera. It is not a DLSR. It is not supposed to be. In its price range I believe it is the best camera you can find. The camera is absolutely great outdoors. Indoors, it does as good a job as you can expect without a flash, in its price range. For indoor shots without the flash, make sure your hand is steady before clicking the button and you will get a clear well lit shot under most average conditions. I recommend It!

PROS: Uses 4 AA batteries (you can use rechargeable ones) - Has a great zoom capability - Lightweight and portable - High sensitivity for pictures in poor lighting conditions - A 16 MPx image sensor.CONS: You gotta hold it really firmly to get sharp, not blurry pictures - On-screen Menu is not User friendly at all (in fact, it's quite complicated to operate!) - No shooting selection mode knob - Camera lens cannot hold lens filters.IN A NUTSHELL: There are many other choices available in Nikon, Canon and/or other camera brands, by far much better than this L820.

I just LOVE this camera and so does my daughter. She knows way more about cameras than I do.This camera is sooooooooooooo easy for me to handle..........it's just perfect for me!!!Might be my last camera that I buy.

I would say 1 out of 5 images was in focus. While taking a simple picture of my daughter eating her first solids her hands would move and they would be a blurred streak in the pictures. This was on automatic mode. The next day I took the camera to my son's Soccer game and put it on sports mode and most of the images were blurry again. If you have kids that will sit still and smile then this camera would be great. My kids are always on the go and therefor most of my pics were blurry. There is no way to adjust the shutter speed so it will capture the pic quicker to avoid the blur. I returned this camera.

Love the features. I can't wait until my second little one is born to try it out on all his moments and so far the moments with my daughter are being captured better then before thx to this camera. Now I just have to buy the accessories I want to make it even better then it already is.

The photos are so clear and bright and the zoom is fantastic. This makes it easy for me to take quality photos.

I'm sure its a really great product, I would have loved to have tried it out but I bought it as a gift and I bought the wrong camera so I had to return it to apply the return to the new camera I need to buy.

It was my first experience with Nikon and it was frustrating.I turned it on and saw a thin yellow line in the middle of the LCD screen. I am in Lima-Peru so I mailed Nikon Customer Support-USA and a technician named Armando wrote me: "Unfortunately, because you are in Peru, you will have to contact Nikon Peru for further assistance".After a few days checking the camera, technical support manager in Lima answer me: "there is one line of burned pixels and it requires a new LCD display" which will cost me US$100. Moreover, since they don't have stock I should wait from 4 to 6 weeks for them to get one.When I asked for warranty (the camera is new) they told me that they only manage it for products purchased in some Latin American countries.This is supposed to be a global company?

Nikon I love your L820-Just what I needed to compliment my community activist activity, Good response with the HD and the night vision availability with this camera I sometimes forget there is a flash system within the camera. To me this product can be used by real professionals because it provides all you need and I mean under whatever conditions you find yourself having to record the environment you don't have to rely on an SLR because you have SLR availability without having to change lens.

Got this fore my sons photography extracarricular activity in H.S. He took some sweet pictures and I have got some nice shots ofhim on the hockey rink. Great camera for the price

I love my new camera. The pictures are beautiful, and the camera is fast. I also purchased the transcend 32 GB class 10 SDHC memory card. This makes a big difference in speed.

Twice I have tried Nikon's point an shoot cameras. Each time I have used them, I have been disappointed and have taken them back.There is such a lag with the shutter speed that it is almost embarrassing that Nikon would have let this camerago out on the Market. I have even replaced the cheap memory cards it comes with to see if this might be causing some of the lag -and there are still issues. The camera has similar features to all other cameras on the market today. I have both Cannon and Olympus, one point and shoot and the other DSLR camera that I have been pleased with - I am not sure why I continue to try to give Nikon a chance. I would not recommend this product.

It is easy to cary, pretty color and does very nice for poses. Not so good for fast speed shots for my daughter cheerleading thou but over all we truly like it

Fast delivery, excellent camera, great features, very, very impressed. An incredible bargain. First camera I've owned where I feel like I got way more then I paid for.

My daughter got this camera for Christmas and it has been great so far. It takes beautiful pictures and has so many features for her to mess around with. It's basic enough for the average picture taker. My only complaint is that it doesn't always focus as easily as some other cameras but otherwise it has been great!

I bought this for my 13 year old. I was worried she would have a hard time with it, but she has caught on quite fast and knows how to use it better than me. I would certainly buy this camera again as the pictures are beautiful!

The quality of the photos is very good. There is a good range of resolutions to choose from. The telephoto/wide angle feature is very good with no distortion. The photos are very sharp and clear. It's also easy to operate. My only concern is the physical size and shape of the camera, which makes it a little difficult to hang on to sometimes. I've nearly dropped it on several occasions. But once you get used to the shape, it's a great little camera

Great portability, awesome camera. My girlfriend loves the nice lense but very light weight. I appreciate the good price and the quality of pictures.

I am so in love with this camera! it take beautiful pictures! I had a kodak easy share before this and I wanted to upgrade to something with instant shutter speed to keep up with my active 2 yr old. This looks very professional and did I mention it takes beautiful pictures? I read all the reviews and shopped very carefully since I wanted to make sure it was worth 200 bucks. I am very glad that I chose this camera. You will be too!
